Pub eats, local beer & classic cocktails in a lively, casual setting with a big waterfront terrace.
"Chicago Brewhouse really leans into its Chicago, beer, and Chicago beer themes. The short menu—filled with “neighborhood street food”—reads like it came from a travel guidebook because each dish, like “Pilsen Street Tacos” and “Greek Town Gyro Sliders,” includes a brief fact about the neighborhood. And even though they’re essentially mediocre bar snacks and sandwiches, it doesn’t matter. You’ll have a lot of options—though most people are only here for the nice selection of local beers on tap and maybe a pretzel, chips, or barbacoa tacos to share." - veda kilaru
"Chicago Brewhouse really leans into its Chicago, beer, and Chicago beer themes. The city flag permeates everything at this large bar on the Riverwalk, from the merch, to the red and blue bar stools, to the Beer Styles 101 poster inside. Even the short menu—filled with “neighborhood street food”—reads like it came from a travel guidebook. Each dish, like “Pilsen Street Tacos” and “Greek Town Gyro Sliders” includes a brief fact about the neighborhood. And while the food is essentially mediocre bar snacks and sandwiches, it doesn’t matter. Most people are here for the decent selection of local beers on tap (and maybe a pretzel, chips, or barbacoa tacos to share) while sitting on the pleasant riverside patio. photo credit: Kim Kovacik photo credit: Kim Kovacik photo credit: Kim Kovacik" - Veda Kilaru
"Founded in 2016, the Chicago Brewseum is a nonprofit that celebrates beer history and culture while educating drinkers on the industry’s past and present. They continue to search for a permanent space for a museum. For the group’s executive director, beer historian Liz Garibay, the event is a rare chance for curious drinkers to learn about beer’s impact on history with the help of academic and industry experts." - Naomi Waxman
"The controversy is similar to 2018 when Lem’s Bar-B-Q’s owners sent a cease-and-desist letter to the owners of Chicago Brewhouse, a restaurant on the Chicago Riverwalk." - Naomi Waxman
"The Chicago Riverwalk continues to shape up with new bar and restaurant openings this summer, as a new two-level spot, Chicago Brewhouse, is now open at Wabash Avenue and Wacker Drive. The riverside eatery and drinkery is dedicated to all things Chicago, including beers brewed in the city, plus local coffees and teas. The Brewhouse is from Vaughan Hospitality, the owners of Emerald Loop in the Loop, Vaughan’s Pub in Lakeview, and Corcoran’s Pub & Grill in Old Town." - Ashok Selvam
