Chicago Pickle Eatery

My roommates and I have been looking for a little lunch spot so we were really excited for this deli to open and it did not disappoint! The sandwich portions are massive, the food is delicious, and the menu/shop is extensive complete with fun beverages and sweet treats. And everyone was beyond friendly and nice! Super excited for this to become a staple spot in the neighborhood!

The food was DELICIOUS and generous in portions. The guy at the front was super friendly while multitasking, it was busy! I got some souvenirs/gifts there for family back home. Went a few times while in town and they were so kind about my kid. Cheese steak sandwich was beyond expected. Steak was juicy and great quality, peppers were cooked to perfection. Excellent chicken tenders, fries, cookies, and drinks/chips etc. I HIGHLY recommend this delicious and diverse menu.

First time trying. Very clean and friendly. Lots of great grocery item choices! I had the steak wrap and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend

Quickly became one of my favorite places to eat in the neighborhood. My original go to is the chicken tenders and fried pickle spears, but I’ll definitely be adding the classic cheese burger and fries as an option. The portions are generous could easily make two meals. My favorite sauce is their Sassy sauce. Can’t wait to try more of their offerings.

Very low quality, extremely overpriced. You would think for $15 for a basic turkey sub you’d get fresh bread? Maybe even a pickle spear (based on the name) or a side? Guess again. The bread was extremely stale. Ordered soup and it was cold and didn’t come with crackers. Tasted and looked like the soup was “Bistro Soups” that’s sold in cheap Chicago hot dog shops (this isn’t confirmed but was VERY much like that). I was very hesitant to visit this place purely do to the prices of sandwiches. I should listened to my gut, but the quality is just bad. Uptown BBQ and Pizza a half block away has much better sub sandwiches and better soups. North Buena deli not too far away beats this place x5 for a fraction of the price. Much better options near by. Don’t go here.

A friend of mine recommended this place to me. I stopped in on the way to visiting them, and I love the vibe of the place. The fact it functions as a deli store as well as a restaurant is really neat! The fried pickles are to die for! I just ordered delivery from them and got more delicious fried pickles and one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. I love this place and I hope it never changes!

Such a good neighborhood spot! The food is fresh and affordable! Also, Anna’s the best :) my new best friend!! I got the beef bacon, egg and cheese and they put so much bacon in my sandwich. The bread was so good, emphasis on fresh. You’re better off going here than the Dunkin around the corner. Support this business!!

Read about their Bodega sandwiches and have been wanting to check this new location out. Finally did and they did not disappoint. We got the namesake sandwich, the Chicago Pickle, and a tuna melt sub, both were wonderful and generous. Sandwiches were made to order, service was friendly and helpful, and the wall of chips was vast. Oh, don't forget to check out the incredible cake selection from Magstic Gelato, a delicious and indulgent finish!

So this place clearly puts "drugs" in thier turkey sandwiches..... I thought UpTown Deli was amazing but this place - look out. My friend gave me a bite of thier turkey sandwich then I was hooked. I gave my roommate a whole sandwich and then he (in spanish which I don't speak well) asked me what specifically I ordered bc it was so good. Also owner? Idk gave us some pickles on the side which we're delicious fyi I want to order everything on the menu but the stupid turkey sandwich is so good off the shelf I don't want to risk anything lol

Called ahead for food as I was walking back home from a lunch walk. Saw they had opened up a few months ago and are new to Uptown so wanted to try them out! Super glad I did! I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap (fried chicken option), a whole size turkey club sandwich on wheat bread, a chicken Caesar salad, a side French fry, a kombucha, and a package of blueberries (yes, they carried them lol), and the total after tax was around $53 which I found to be a very good deal considering everything I got and the portion sizes overall were very good. They give a good amount of chicken and meat overall. Was very pleased with the price point, the taste/quality, and the friendly service of this place. Will certainly be back to try more. Welcome to Uptown, CPE!

Delicious! We recently moved to Uptown. We have been wanting to try Chicago Pickle and tonight we had a chance to start in. We had the classic hot Rueben (which we shared, a 'whole') sandwich and large fries. It was delicious! Service was fast and friendly. We'll be back!

My kickboxing coach recommended this place and omg it was great! The burger was nice and juicy, the jalapeño poppers were fresh and homemade, and the fries were nice and crispy. The service is good and timely! The ambiance is laidback and similar to an NY Botega. You should defintely come here on a weeknight to grab a bite with friends!

We love Chicago Pickle! Their breakfast sandwich and coffee deal is a fun mid-week treat before work. Usually not too busy in the morning and food is made fresh, so it is all around a good experience. The staff is very kind. I love their treats wall with different gourmet and fun snacks. It's fun to look at while waiting for your sandwich. I definitely intend to come back during lunch or dinner hours to try more sandwiches.

I usually never write a review as soon as I receive or eat the food. Chicago pickle was definitely an exception!! Craving some comfort food during this cold weather and also being late to ordering something to eat for dinner, CP was up to the challenge. Ordering fried mushrooms and jalapeños are always a challenge if the restaurant can't get it right. I can tell you I was lit standing UP eating when my food came with these two items. Didn't even remember I had a whole sandwich and chili tambien! Hahahaha! Perfect jalapeños and the mushrooms which usually don't travel well we're doing just fine! After my snacky frenzy faded a bit I tasted the turkey chili and was not disappointed. My only suggestion would be for us to have the option for onions & cheese to add on for a charge. Thank you so much CPE for making my night complete with tasty snacks and nice employees. Much snack love & can't wait to order again!

The sandwiches here are really good! I had a grilled cheese but it was packed with flavor and had a nice crispiness in every bite. I also ordered a garlic steak aioli and oven roasted Turkey.

First off let me say I had eaten here before and the food was excellent and so was the service. My first time the owner was behind the counter and made me feel like family. There was a reason why I came back. However my second go around was a complete disaster. I ordered my food and grabbed a drink from the fridge. The drink needed a bottle opener, the girl behind the counter instead of offering to open my drink sat on the phone chatting with her friend. Oblivious to her customers. I then proceeded to wait 40 minutes for my sandwich, I could see waiting if you had a line out the door but there were only 2 other customers. Again on the phone chatting away to her friend oblivious to her customers. I finally had to ask her about my sandwich which judging how hot it was had been sitting awhile. The sandwich was ok but would have been great had it been served hot. I threw away my garbage and walked out. As I'm walking to my car she pops her head out and proceeds to complain to me I didn't throw away my bottle (which are recyclable) or didn't return my tray to the proper tray area. After that horrible service she has the nerve to complain about me. I guess I cut into her chat time. I honestly don't think someone like her should be in the hospitality or service industry. Like I said before my first visit was awesome the owner could not have been nicer and the food was incredible. If I were to ever come back and saw her behind the counter I would walk right back out.

I was so excited to have a new sandwich place in the neighborhood and CPE did not disappoint. I've been here twice so far; once I got the buffalo chicken (sliced deli meat cold sandwich) and once I got the chicken bacon ranch wrap with fried chicken. I have also had bites of the chipotle fried chicken sandwich. Everything has been so good! They really pile on the protein and the serving sizes are huge for the price. And yes, the pickles you get on the side are delicious as well. Everything is freshly made so sandwiches take a few minutes but it is absolutely worth it. They also have a great snack selection - lots of chips and flavored nuts, as well as a small grocery section with pasta, sauces, and deep fry mixes / seasoning blends.

Amazingly friendly staff and the food was excellent. The fried pickles were amazing and so were the sandwiches we got, we will for sure be going back.

Ahh! This used to be Seafood Junction, remember that? This is the second location in the city. The original is in Avondale. The staff and service is very good.

Fantastic sandwich spot. We got a spicy Italian, chopped cheese, and garlic fries and everything was amazing. Not much ambiance but not needed for what it is.

We came upon this sandwich shop on our recent visit to Chicago. We actually were heading for another one, but found they were out of business. We came up upon this one and were delighted. What a delicious sandwich! Hope to return in the near future to try another.

We aren't local to Chicago so we needed to trust Yelp to figure out where to eat when a prior plan fell through. The only negative about this place is that we live so far away! The burger was hands down the most delish thing in our groups order. Chicago pickle sandwich was solid. The portions were appreciated. Fresh baked cookies. One note is that it's a very small place so seating was limited.

Amazing sandwiches with great staff. Was looking for a place to eat and found this place based on it's highly rated reviews. I'm glad I gave it a try because it's my new favorite spot to grab a sandwich!

I love this place! We moved away from the neighborhood and I actually think about it all the time. Their food is a great price for some huge portions, their breakfast is FIRE and their sandwiches especially hit the spot. The people working are always really nice, it's just a great simple, delicious deli! I'll definitely come back here whenever I'm in the area.

Love that the Pickle has come to the uptown neighborhood! They've got a wide variety of menu options and their wings are phenomenal! This place will be one of our regular go-tos for sure.

Food is top tier. They never miss. Sandwiches, wraps, and the fried zucchini are fire!!!!! Custer service is A-1. Always clean. Highly recommend.

THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. through the door 100/10. Customer Service top notch. Food top notch. Everything was crispy hot and fresh. I ordered the BLT wrap with glarlic season fries and my boyfriend ordered the ultimate cheeseburger sub and when i tell you we just looked at eachother in shock. I am not even really a huge fan of bacon but this bacon was thick and tender and you could just tell it was authentic and cooked with love. We also got the fried pickle spears and they were the best fried pickles the both of us can agree we have ever had. the perfect crunch on the outside and the inside of the pickle was perfectly cooked and melted in every bite. even better with ranch! The young man at the front taking orders was such a gentlemen and so respectful and even gave us a cookie on the house just in gratitude of our positive reviews. exceptionally happy with our experience! will be back VERY soon!

Awesome new addition to the neighborhood, the manager and his team are great folks, feels like a friendly neighborhood sandwich shop. Really great little groceries they offer, unique stuff! The sandwiches are massive and the cookies rock too- check it out for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

Wham! Wow what a sandwhich! I mean really good! Had the Chicago Pickle sandwhich, toasted, it's kind of like a Reuben. The slaw wasn't spicy. The halff is basically a whole sandwhich so make sure you don't over order.

i've only gotten the wings but they were yummy. they sell a ton of cute beverages. i've heard the sandwiches are bomb i'll have to try that next

I just wanted to update my review . Since my first review I have been back there a few more times check I'm out different menu items . I was not disappointed . I have had different sandwich's which were fantastic but i was really impressed with their WINGS . They were great . I go to many places for wings and I didn't expect a deli to have great wings . I had their 10 wings with 5 garlic Parmesan and 5 sweet and spicy . So tasty . Highly recommended this place !!!!

Went here about a month ago and tried their hot sub, burger, and fried pickles. It was AMAZING and the service was great. They offered me fresh pickles and sauce. I went back to try their buffalo wraps and unfortunately it was soaked to the point the wrap was inedible. They forgot our ranches and we requested one be fried chicken and the other grilled. We got two grilled ones. I would still recommend trying the place, but check your order before leaving and make sure it's up to par..

Had their signature sandwich and it was wonderful! Fresh ingredients. Good value too. Glad this place opened.

Great food, service and deli ambience!! The more than enough Chicago Pickle Sandwich and Egg Salad Sandwich was delicious!! I would call ahead to avoid the wait because the food is made to order and fresh. The place was packed at 3pm and It will definitely be my go to deli. Giving a shout out to Ian who warmly and politely services the patrons!!

i was excited to try this spot in my neighborhood and decided to come in on a thursday night 2 hours before they're supposed to close (by 9:45 the staff told customers they were closing soon so maybe the kitchen closes an hour prior) to order a 10 piece wing dinner. i got garlic parm and mild wings and fries are included in the dinner. paid about $18 for the entire meal, waited almost 30 mins (which was no problem cus i wasnt in a rush and know wings can take a min if made from scratch). got home and opened the meal to see no fries, and the garlic parm wings were barely seasoned? wasn't sure if it was meant to be a dry rub or sauce but either way, it was basically just plain wings... i was so bummed and barely ate the meal. the mild wings tasted decent but i was pretty upset w the experience so im not sure if i'd go back.
