The Best Boba in Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Valley | Eater LA

"Originally from Taichung in Taiwan, the birthplace of boba, Chicha San Chen is the first US branch of the shop. Every drink is freshly brewed to order with a special “Teapresso” machine. Expect to wait anywhere between 20 to 40 minutes for drinks, which can only be ordered online. Drinks are categorized by mousse, cream, fresh milk, condensed milk, latte, honey, fruit sweeteners (mango, passionfruit), or pure tea. Some of the most popular drinks are dong ding oolong tea with mousse and boba, cassia black tea with mousse and grass jelly, high mountain pouchong tea, and osmanthus oolong with mango. The focus at Chicha San Chen is the tea, but it also has many popular toppings like Konjac jelly, grass jelly, and cheese foam. The boba is soft, warm, and chewy. Also, the shop uses milk from Taiwan, which is creamier than American milk." - Kristie Hang

The Best Boba Shops In LA & The SGV - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"San Gabriel’s Valley Boulevard is lined with dozens of boba spots and Chi Cha San Chen is, without a doubt, the most famous one along the road. They’re well known for winning an award from the International Taste Institute, leading some to call it “Michelin star boba.” But what keeps me coming back here is the high-quality tea and super chewy pearls. Another thing that makes their drinks stand out is that you can order their tea with condensed milk, cream, or milk, giving you way more control over their drink." - audrey fong

Google
As you step foot inside, you’re immediately slapped in the face with the amazing fragrances and aromas of the brewing teas. The tea was strong and tasted just as described. Nice decor inside and it looked like they have tea tastings on a regular schedule. Staff were all super friendly and wore masks if that matters.

Jennifer B.

Google
The drinks are unique and good! There is only one size. I wouldn't recommend asking for less sweet because their 100% is 70% for others. Drinks are more expensive than most boba places- close to $10 a drink if you want toppings. The space is nice, airy, and clean. Get it before the lines start getting too crazy and you have to wait >1 hr!

Queenique D.

Google
Had this for the first time in NYC, super happy they opened one closer to home. Strong tea flavor and well-balanced drinks, plus fast service!

Conrad W.

Google
Their tea quality is on another level — you can actually taste the freshness of the leaves, and every drink feels carefully crafted.

Google
Great service and nice atmosphere! The staff here are very professional, friendly, and patient. They took the time to introduce the menu and help me choose since I didn’t know what to order. They even served us a welcome drink — something you don’t usually get at other tea shops! All the teas are freshly brewed to order, and you can see everyone working so focused and fast even though there aren’t too many staff. We didn’t have to wait long for our drinks at all. The drinks were delicious — the bubble milk tea had a strong tea flavor, creamy and rich, while the osmanthus mango tea was super refreshing and tasty. Definitely will come again to try other teas! 💚🍵

Google
I often have to adjust the sugar level for the milk tea I order. But when CHICHA San Chen says its sugar level is perfect, it really is perfect. It’s not overly sweet and still maintains the flavor of the tea. Highly recommended.

Juniper H.

Google
So so yummy! I got the mango tart tea and it was delicious! The foam is so light and sweet like a marshmallow. The dong ding tea has a very smoky flavor and is not very sweet at all. Definitely going here again

Google
They’re now open at Chino!!! Go to spot, and drinks consistent every time ♥️

Yelp
We were at Calvary Chapel Chino Hills and decided to stop by and try their drinks. I'm always looking for a high quality tea and based on the reviews, this was one to try. I got an Osmanthus Oolong tea with mango, light sugar, and bubble boba. While we were waiting for our drink, we started talking to Ian and he really knew his tea. I was looking for something different and special and he suggested the High Mountain Pouchong tea with lemon. He informed me that the Taiwanese lemon is green and tastes different than the American lemon. He told me I should get it today because it was almost out of season so I did! The drink cup comes in an adorable drink carrier and the presentation made me smile. I felt like I was carrying a little treasure! The oolong tea with mango was really good and I can see why it was on the popular list. The high mountain tea with lemon was special. The tea has a slightly milky flavor and was different than any fruit tea I've tried. Definitely get it if you want something special! Next time Ian told me to try the Dong Ding tea with milk and grass jelly because the grass jelly is really smooth and pairs well with milk tea. I'm excited to go back next week after church. I feel like this will be a regular Sunday afternoon treat for us. Thank you Ian for making us feel welcome and for your wealth of knowledge!

Yelp
First time coming to this new CHICHA san chen branch and it was nice and spacious! They gave a sample of their tea to try. They also have an area where you can do complimentary tea tasting. Overall nice space and great designs! You pick a tea base, an option flavor and optional topping. What I love about them is they hand brew each cup to order. I really enjoy strong flavor teas so the way they espresso brew each cup to the exact measurement really bring out the flavor! My group got their award winning green tea with mango, cassia with cream and grass jelly topping, high mountain pouchong with passionfruit and boba, and a lemon condensed milk with mango. They were all great, clean refreshing taste! Their boba was nice and chewy, but their grass jelly didn't have too much flavor so I'd probably skip out on that next time. Definitely give this place a try if you like drinks with great tea flavor!

Yelp
Chicha San Chen is decent, but definitely on the pricey side. The standard cup is about the size of a small at most other boba shops, yet costs around $8 depending on add-ons -- which feels a bit steep for what you get. I tried the Brown Sugar and the Osmanthus (regular sugar for both). The flavors were good and the tea quality is nice, but not enough to justify the higher price or smaller portion for me. Overall, it's decent if you're curious to try it once, but with so many boba options around, the value just isn't quite there.

Yelp
This place is like tea on a different level. They have a separate bar area tea tasting but we missed it :( Ordered our drinks and it came out pretty fast. We got the Ostmanthus Oolong, Creamy Lemon Tart, and Grape Ostmanthus Oolong Tea. All tasted delicious with high quality tea. Their cream is very thick which is more mousse. Will come again when we can to try the tea tasting. Ps. Downside there isn't much space to hang and they only have one bathroom. Definitely a to go place.
google avatar

Emily L.

Yelp
Drinks can get a little pricey but are so unique and worth a try. I've tried milk teas and fruit teas but all are good. This location is super spacious and clean, and just as solid as the Rowland location.
google avatar

Supardi D.

Yelp
This is our 3rd ChiCha to try. Much better location. Larger area with more place to sit but only 1 table. Service was fast during off hours. Not as crowded as the other two-San Gabriel and Rowland Height. Teas always fresh brewed and taste good, 5 stars. The feedback is why one size only.
google avatar

Priscilla G.

Yelp
Oolong tea with mango & boba! Yum! The store was super clean and the service was quick too! I like the decor in there. And their teas are freshly brewed daily! I would definitely recommend! Love it!
google avatar

James C.

Yelp
The oolong milk tea was freshly made and had a deep toasty flavor. You can taste the quality and care put into making the drink. Wish they came in larger sizes, especially for the price.
google avatar

Eileen H.

Yelp
This is the 4th location I've tried, and they have all been excellent with their tea and toppings. They have a very precise method of brewing their teas which makes every drink very consistent. I love knowing that I can expect the same taste each time, since it's something that other tea shops can struggle with. This location is located in a huge shopping center with plenty of parking.
google avatar

Mark L.

Yelp
I've been to other Chi Cha San Chen locations and my sister wants to get tea from Chi Cha San Chen while we're in the Chino area. We chose the Grape Ice Tea with Konjac with High Mountain Pouchong Tea, which includes grape juice, grape pulp, and konjac jelly. Other beverages include Peach Dong Ding Oolong Tea with Peach, Peach Bites, and Konjac Jelly. I'm watching them make their drink using the machine, and the drinks we ordered are quite strong and tasty, with a pleasant tea fragrance. I'll come back and try different tea drinks next time.
google avatar

Angela N.

Yelp
Their Green Tea is the way to go!!! The quality is unmatched. No wonder it has won awards. I ordered my drink iced with cream, konjac jelly, perfect sugar level, and less ice. SO GOOD. It's become a new obsession!
google avatar

Yelp
I recommend stopping by for the ultimate Taiwanese tea experience that includes complimentary tea tasting! There's also plenty of parking and gender neutral bathrooms! I tried both the bubble milk tea and dong ding oolong tea with organic milk, and you can definitely taste the high quality tea but as someone with a sweet tooth, I wish both drinks were much sweeter! They also accept both cash and card! Tip: They offer WiFi and some seats for solo studying, but limited indoor seating for larger groups!
google avatar

Leilani M.

Yelp
Loved this tea experience. The pure tea selections are my go to. Clean flavors, brewed harmoniously. Service was awesome welcoming and informative. Everything is so pristine with detailed touches to leave a lasting impression. It's located right next to Hiro Nori. Get your ramen then get some tea. Perfect! Free parking lot right in front shared with surrounding shops. Thanks Yesica!

Yelp
Rolled up with the family after dinner looking for a dessert to cap off the evening. If your family also believes that dessert is something that should be "not too sweet" then tea is always seen as an acceptable dessert, but I digress. I did not know there was a chicha here and we walked in during a lull on a toasty 95 degree day. Upon walking in, I was taken aback by how big the space was and how clean, quiet, and well lit the space was. Ordering was a breeze. Im at that age where a 8 dollar pint of beer is less inviting than a 8 dollar cup of tea. Its like I'm 33 going on 63, but I digress. So, for the price and the quality of the tea you get and the space they provide, I'll eat the price. What does make this place stand out is, like a winery or a upscale coffee shop, this place does complimentary tastings of oolong tea. We kind of stumbled upon it but they recommend calling in to set up an appointment. You get to learn a little bit about the oolong they use and the different roast profiles. You get to taste the tea as well which is nice. Little things like this go a long way and adds to the experience where you feel like you are getting 5 star service and attention to detail that really takes it beyond just "going out to get tea". Our guide was awesome and the whole experience takes anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes. I would highly consider tipping as this service is complimentary but you can tell they take what they do seriously and put a lot of attention and detail in to what they do. If you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping by!

Yelp
Always been a Chicha fan and this was my first time visiting the Chino location. The space here is really nice and very spacious. There's even a few seating tables inside. Parking here was quite easy. We visited on a Monday evening and there was barely a line, so order was quite easy and efficient. I ordered my usual, cassia black tea with mousse and bubble. I would say, that the mousse wasn't as thick as the one I had in San Gabriel and Alhambra, but still pretty good. The tea quality is also high quality tea. Pretty glad they're expanding!
google avatar

An K.

Yelp
It is expensive and the shop doesn't accept reusable bottles. A good tea shop would care about the environment enough to encourage people to use reusable bottles or cups! Not going back unless it starts to take some action for the unnecessary waste!
google avatar

Jagruti L.

Yelp
I stopped by during the Soft Opening. This is a new Taiwan tea shop located in Chino. They have a tea tasting section which I will need to come back next time. Cute Ambiance. Service was great. Friendly staff. I ordered 2 drinks. Lemon Condensed Milk with Mango Osmanthus Oolong Tea with Honey with less sugar. Both drinks were great high quality tasting teas. We enjoyed it.

Yelp
As someone who loves CHICA San Chen, I was enamored when they opened one in Chino. I was able to go during their soft opening and occasionally afterwards and as soon as you enter, it's super clean, organized, spacious, and has that modern/chill vibe, very unique. As someone who has many tea options to choose, it was special that the staff offers you a small sample to try. I was also able to have a short experience where they show you all the methods and all kinds of different teas. Exceptional service, super friendly and professional. Aside from ordering in stores, you're able to order online as well. There's also a kiosk inside but I haven't seen it being used or online, perhaps it'll be in use when the cafe is busier than usual. This location also has indoor seating (limited) but it's more than enough to go around with all the orders going in and out fast. Parking is free and plenty to go around. I usually get the Cassia Black Tea with Mousse, but because of the samples, I was recommended to try the Lemon Condensed Milk with a hint of Mango. The drink has a good balance of sweetness, and because it's condensed milk, it surprisingly has a good balance of smooth and thick, very tasty to drink. CHICA San Chen always/most of the time has a long wait due to how popular it is, but this location is not as packed as other locations. Quality of the drinks are exceptional and service is extremely fast. You can't go wrong with getting CHICA San Chen. Will be back often to try the other catalogs on the menu.

Yelp
fragrant tea, rich in tea flavor . ..................................... I'll come back

Yelp
I'm so happy that another location opened in Chino Hills! We stopped by on a Saturday evening, and the shop wasn't as busy compared to their other locations. We ordered the bubble milk tea and received a complimentary button with our order. The tea flavor really shines through in their drinks. CHICHA is one of our favorite boba shops!
google avatar

Kevin N.

Yelp
Was about to drive to Rowland Heights to grab Chicha but when I looked on my maps I saw a Chino Hills location pop up and was pleasantly surprised. TVs up front with menu, navigate yourself to the register to order instead of waiting behind everyone staring at TV if you're ready. Got 2x dong ding oolong tea with organic milk (less ice, less sweet). All in cost me $14.5 which isn't too bad. Waited a little under 10 minutes for my drink and was out the door. I think my order is a good balance of flavor and sweetness so if you're uncertain try it out!
google avatar

Krupa S.

Yelp
I was so excited to see that Chicha san chen opened in Chino Hills! The tea is so fresh and so beyond flavorful. The oolong tea is always brewed to perfection and always hits the spot. I love getting the oolong without any sugar and it's always perfection. There usually is a line, but trust me, it's worth the wait.
google avatar

Grace N.

Yelp
So excited that Chicha San Chen opened a location near me. The interior is clean and bright, just like the other ones. I went on a Wednesday afternoon and there was already a line almost out the door. I got the dong ding oolong tea with mousse and lychee jelly, and it was just as good as the other locations I've tried. Super solid tea flavor and great quality. The wait for drinks was a little long and they messed up two of our group's orders, probably just working out the kinks since it's still new. Still happy this spot is close by and I'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Helen N.

Yelp
Love CHICHA! My first boba run in the area and I love how smooth the drink is! Service was great, it wasn't too busy which was nice! And the space was aesthetically pleasing!
google avatar

Tina V.

Yelp
Tried this place in HK so was cool to see one in the area. You can really taste the quality of the tea here and the boba is perfection. The place is nice, spacious and clean. They do tea tastings here so will def try to come back for that and more drinks. Bit pricey, but worth.
google avatar

Yelp
CHICHA San Chen (Chino location) just had their soft opening! It might be a little hard to find as my maps took me to the opposite side of the plaza, but they are located directly in front of the HiroNori ramen. We got the Dong Ding Oolong Tea and the Cassia Black Tea, both of which were super rich, flavorful, and delicious! (I also ordered the Black Tea with Cream, and the Peach Green Tea, but gave them to my dad who I forgot to ask if he liked it. I'm sure he did though, as the quality of the drinks was so amazing!) The bubbles were so soft and perfectly chewy. The wait time was relatively short. The drinks were out within 5-10 minutes, and there had been quite a few people ahead of us. All of the employees are friendly and polite! The cashier was helpful in giving us recommendations and double-checking our ice and sweetness levels. The employee who handed us out drinks was enthusiastic! I will say our 4 drinks totaled at $31.75, but I have no complaints as the ingredients and tea bases have a much better taste and quality than I've tried before
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
New Taiwanese boba place that took over the old Jogurt. I wasn't sure what to expect when I came in on a Sundays afternoon? But there was already a line so I had to be in the right place. You can order at the counter or the QR code, they also have tea tasting sessions I believe which are at certain scheduled times. I had a few of the teas which were good in flavor and the boba was really soft. I enjoyed there traditional brown sugar one. Can't wait to try other ones
google avatar

Jamie L.

Yelp
Love this place and was so excited to see it opened in Chino. The parking lot is long and narrow, making it slightly annoying but still better than the Rowland location parking. The inside is big, spacious, and has a few seats. Service was quick and there were no lines on a Thursday evening! (Huge plus!!) got the mango creamy tart - only downfall is you can't adjust the sweetness of that drink so it was a tad bit too sweet but still delicious. Would come back and get it again!
google avatar

Amy K.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try the newest location since seeing the SGV and OC locations with their lines and wanted to try it before the lines got long. I came in on a Thursday afternoon around 3pm and there was no line (yay!) but there was a steady flow of people coming and going. Decor looks bright, new and spacious. I didn't want to order at the kiosk as I wanted to get recommendations on 3 of their best drinks. They had little jars of tea leaves at the register if you wanted to try smelling the tea leaves. I declined this time. I ended up ordering the cassia black tea with mousse, classic bubble milk tea and the seasonal grape osmanthus oolong tea with konjac, with came out on July 4th. I got all drinks with "Perfect" amount of sweetness & normal amount of ice. The cassia black tea was the least sweet & you can really taste all the different notes of the tea. The mouse was a thick foam with a hint of salty & works really well with the tea, when you stir or mix it in with the tea. The classic milk bubble tea was good too. The black tea flavors came through just like it should. The ratio of milk to tea was spot on and the boba was perfectly cooked soft with QQ. I probably won't get this again because I want to try all their other special drinks! The grape green tea with konjac was the sweetest & so refreshing! There were light floaty "ghost"-like green grapes that gave a burst of green grape flavor. The konjac bits were nice & chewy QQ. This was my favorite of the 3 drinks. All 3 drinks came out to $28, including a tip. It would be pricey to some as all 3 drinks were about 12 oz each. But I know & can taste the quality ingredients & effort that went into each drink. They do taste the closest to tea shops in Taipei.
google avatar

Zoe S.

Yelp
We got a green tea with passion fruit flavor and konjac jelly with light sweetness. The tea is really good, but this drink in particular was a little sweet for me, maybe due to the passion fruit. We also got an osmanthus tea with mango, and both flavors were very prominent. The sweetness was perfect on this one. Everyone is very helpful and attentive. They were very knowledgeable and kindly took the time to ensure we got what we wanted. It seems like a great place to study, though I can't recall any charging ports. The tables are flooded with soft, natural lighting, and spacious as well. The only thing is the price! But the quality is good; you really do get what you pay for.

Kiwon P.

Yelp
Amazing tea with very good service. We were able to do tea tasting with Randy and it was such a fun & delicious experience. Randy really took his time explaining the process and flavor profile of each tea. Very well organized and clean environment. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Vanessa T.

Yelp
I stopped by here for their soft opening. They weren't busy so that was nice compared to their other locations. I got their seasonal drink, the peach oolong tea which came with bits of peaches and some kind of jelly. I do love the floral taste of the tea and it wasn't overwhelming nor underwhelming....it was just right. It may have been a bit too sweet for me though even though i got it less sweet. It definitely had a vibrant peach flavor which was nice and the peach bits gave the drink some pulp. The downside of this place is that none of their drinks were lactose free so my husband couldn't get anything from their menu. Even the customized drinks cant be made lactose free. Not sure if its worth the drive for me to come out and get their drinks since I dont live in the area.
google avatar

Hailey S.

Yelp
came during their soft opening and the inside is bright, clean, and spacious. service was spectacular, the cashier was knowledgeable and gave us recommendations i got the passion fruit creamy lemon and it was so refreshing!! it had the perfect amount of creaminess and the passion fruit was fresh, not a jam. it had great flavor. although i'm not the biggest fan of their prices. my sister got the boba milk tea and that was $8.50 on its own... for a small cup. i'll have to come here when im willing to splurge
google avatar

Emi O.

Yelp
I tried the green tea with milk and dong ding oolong tea with milk today during their soft opening. I like the green tea better but I do wish the tea flavor was a liiittle stronger. For the price and the hype, I don't think it is thaaat good. And since I don't live close to it, I think I would opt for other boba places. This location is very nice and the wait isn't crazy compared to other locations though! I went at around 2pm on a Sunday and there were maybe 8ish people in line before me.
google avatar

Brenda N.

Yelp
I came to Chicha San Chen for the first time based on my friend's recommendation. Sometimes I'm skeptical of boba recommendations because the competition here is so tough--there are just so many good spots. However, Chicha San Chen is probably now my favorite boba/tea spot of all time. I'm so sad there isn't one closer to me! But from the moment you walk into the store, its so clean and immaculate. You can tell it's all about high-quality, fragrant tea. All the staff were extremely attentive and friendly. Tea can be intimidating because there are so many choices, but the staff were very patient and even let us smell all the teas before recommending a few. I chose the mango oolong tea, and it was sooo delicious! They understand that you don't need a bunch of sugar to make a drink taste good--the tea really speaks for itself. If the drinks alone don't convince you, this location offers a special service where the staff will actually showcase a tea for you to try. It's a short 10-minute experience where they teach you about different teas and roasting techniques, and you get to pick one to taste--completely free! I'm already excited to come back next time!
google avatar

Vivian L.

Yelp
We were soooo excited when we saw this location under construction cuz it is a lot closer to home. And guess what? They're currently on their soft opening! We went on their first day of soft opening and it did not disappoint! Staff were nice and attentive. Especially the guy from tea tasting station, very knowledgeable and he made us some great tea! The store is a lot more spacious than the Rowland location which allows more people to chill. Drinks wise, their less sweet was sweeter than Rowland. Hopefully they can get it fixed and tone down sugar level in the future.
google avatar

Faustine V.

Yelp
So happy that there is a Chicha San Chen near me. No longer need to drive to San Gabriel! And no super long lines. The milk tea is freshly made so it does take time to get your drink, but it is worth the wait. The boba comes out nice and warm too. One of the best boba milk tea places! Sad that they only have one size. The inside is clean, bright and minimalist.
google avatar

Iman A.

Yelp
Stopped by Friday evening to check out the soft opening of Chicha San Chen. This was my first time visiting any of their locations so it was nice to see and check off my list. The interior is very clean and bright. There were a lot of people waiting for their drinks - I believe I waited about 15-20 mins for mine. I got the cassia black tea with mousse with light sweetness. It wasn't bad but it personally wasn't my favorite; I think I have to get it with perfect sweetness to make a final impression. Overall, it's worth checking out!
google avatar

Alicia K.

Yelp
The drinks were alright. Definitely overpriced. They had four people working but it still took 10 minutes for the drinks. Drinks were 7 8 dollars a cup a d it was not worth it. There's a lot of space inside, kinda 2 much space

Hana L.

Yelp
Wow! Very clean, welcoming, and amazing drinks. I loved the ambience. I felt like I was transported into a small tea shop in the mountains in Asia. Such a beautiful place and was given samples to try. I got the Oolong Osmanthus with grass jelly and the Peach oolong with mousse I believe. Both so good. You can adjust sweetness level too. I loved the peach drink! Definitely try if you are in the area.
google avatar

L H.

Yelp
Very tart and the mousse is perfect. Not too heavy, but enough tang. The wait time is a bit of long and I could not adjust the sweetness.
google avatar

Andrea Y.

Yelp
Really good tea and boba and really appreciate the time they take to make each drink perfect

Yelp
Came here after seeing so many people post about it -- finally gave in to the hype. I got the Dong Ding Oolong Tea with cream, and wow, it was way better than I expected. The tea flavor was super smooth and roasted, and the cream made it feel like a warm hug (even though I got it cold lol). Not too sweet, just right. My friend got the Osmanthus Oolong with konjac jelly -- super refreshing and not something you find at regular boba spots. It actually tasted like tea, not just sugar water. One thing I didn't expect: there's a tea tasting area right at the front. Kinda felt like walking into a calm little tea bar -- super clean and chill vibe, way more peaceful than most boba shops. Didn't have time to try the tasting set this time, but definitely wanna come back for it. They're doing some soft opening promos right now too -- if you order 2/4 drinks, you get a cute keychain, pin, and even a cup. Nice little surprise. :) If you're a real tea person, this place hits different. :D
google avatar

Amanda Y.

Yelp
I've heard about this place for ages -- always super long lines. Finally got a chance to try it today since I had a meeting nearby. Tried two drinks: the Classic Bubble Milk Tea with no sugar (was worried the pearls might be too sweet), but it turned out just right. Strong tea flavor and not too heavy -- hope I can still sleep tonight :D. The other one was the Passion Fruit Green Tea, also no sugar, but it felt a bit too light. Might go with light sugar next time. There's also a tea tasting area inside, which looked really nice and chill, but I was in a rush so didn't get to sit down -- definitely coming back to check that out. They're doing a soft opening right now, and if you buy enough drinks, you get some cute gifts like a keychain, pin, and a cup. Nice touch!

Yelp
I used to travel to the SGV for their tea. Now there is a location in Chino! Great quality tea and fresh flavors. I love the pineapple honey tea with konjac jelly. Prices are higher than other tea places but quality isn't cheap. Average $8 a tea, one size. Lines have been short during their soft opening. I don't think this will be the case once the word gets out. Lines at the SGV location were at least a 30 minute wait.

Yelp
I accidentally ordered the wrong drink and I wanted the ding dong oolong tea with milk. They did not let me change it and told me to order an entirely new drink. I do recognize that it was my fault because I didn't know they had multiple ding dong oolong tea drinks but I feel like this situation could've been handled better. The guy who helped me did not ask management or anyone else if I could change it - he just said no. I'm pretty disappointed in the customer service here.

Yelp
The ambiance was amazing and super clean spot. Service was amazing and service was so quick. The drink was beyond my expectations. So delicious and refreshing. Highly recommend this drink. So sad the location is a bit far from me or I'd be there everyday.

Yelp
Came here during the first week they just opened. The line was out the door. It really sucks that they don't offer online ordering during the weekends. There is only one cashier, which makes things go so slow. On top of that they are doing the job of two people. Calling drink orders and taking orders at once. There was a self ordering kiosk on the side but it wasn't open On top of that, the day I came, they only had ONE person making the tea. She was making the tea nonstop while the others who were putting toppings into the cup were just standing there doing nothing. It made literally no sense to me and they really should have another person making the tea. The drinks came out in a reasonable time frame after ordering but I felt like they could have been faster if they were more organized. In total I waited close to an hour for 2 drinks. I have been to their other locations and I've never seen just one person making the tea. They have two stations and two people should have been making tea. Other than that their drinks have the same quality control and taste just as good as the other locations. Boba is nice and chewy and the tea is very strong and fragrant. I asked for less ice but they put a lot of ice in. When I finished my drink there was a ton of ice in it.

Yelp
Wow. This is my first time ever leaving a review for a boba shop but... honestly speaking, it's because this is the BEST tea I've tried out of all the places I've been to thus far, so I wanted to do it justice because people need to know (but at the same time I just want to keep it to myself so there'll be less of a crowd but that'd be selfish and of no help to the business... :3). Anyways, it is a bit pricey compared to other spots, BUT I can tell the tea is of high quality and made with care/expertise, so I would say it's worth it. Right when I stepped in, I was taken aback by how clean and aesthetic the inside looked, with a white/wooden interior that brought about such calming vibes. And the SMELL. Mmmmm... The fragrant aroma of tea. So relaxing... It definitely feels different from other bubble tea spots - indeed, a tea house. I got the Dong Ding Oolong (light sugar) with mousse and boba. The mousse topping is basically like the same thing as cream top at other places, but CHICHA's had a more bouncy texture and smelled like marshmallows - yum!! I feel like I could get no sugar for the tea next time and still enjoy my drink just as much because the mousse was already sweet itself (I usually get my drinks unsweetened). The tea itself had a very deep/rich flavor - roasted, slightly seaweed-esque, kinda reminded me of hojicha (but BETTER). And the boba was cooked to literal PERFECTION - soft, yet chewy (as boba is all about the texture). The workers were welcoming and helpful in explaining how to customize our drinks :) They were also super quick to serve us, which could be because there weren't many people as I went in with a friend around 2pm on a Tuesday. And I thought their striped uniforms were so cute and fit the clean/cozy vibe of the shop~ Planning to head over again this week (about a 25min drive for me) because I just could not stop thinking about the tea, and hoping they have open spots for the tea tasting as well as I didn't get the chance to try it out last time.
