Great place to satisfy your Chicharron craving. Service was great very friendly very family like their coffee is delicious and their tortillas are good. I would definitely come back here again.

Come for the chicharron taco—it's phenomenal. The food here is great. Just know the restaurant is in an edgy neighborhood that's definitely off the beaten path.

Came in for some oh, so tasty Carnitas!! My sister had previously ordered from here months ago and I just had to come back. This business is not only clean, but they also have parking in the back and the staff is super helpful and friendly. Roberto assisted us in showing us different options. Not once was he bothered by our many questions. Truly a great experience from beginning to end. The food was amazing and made to perfection. The hand-made tortillas are the best!! To those who have passed it by and doubted coming in, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. I will be back to try other dishes 🤤

Eh. I wasn’t impressed from customer service to the packaging, to the flavor of the food and their agua fresca Guava. They over packed the bag causing it to break. Some items deserve a second bag to prevent this. Their menudo has no flavor disappointing. Their gorditas are dry chewy no flavor meat. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Super good food and reasonable prices! Chef Roberto and mom makes some of the best, freshest mexican food! Instead of tortilla chips you get chicharrones to dip in hot sauce! Small menu and great food, reminds me of In-N-Outs motto. They don't make ALL mexican food you can think of, just the basics but they are all delicious!

They have good chicharon. The waiter that provided service was great. He checked up on us and made conversation with us. He provided a small sample of chicharon without an additional charge. They sell chicharon by itself to take home. It was $10 a pound when we went. The restaurant is small but welcoming. There is street parking in the front, there's also parking in the alley being the restaurant you just need to go all the way around. Make a left at the light and then another left at the first chance you get. Now the negative it's pricey. For two people it was $51. I recommend this place if you love chicharon.

Food here is really outstanding. Ordered the carnitas burrito and it was rolled perfect. Super fresh taste and the hot sauce was very good as well. The service was very friendly and gotta always support a family run business. Will be back again for sure!

10/5/25 came back. Didn't bring my cabbage, but clearly didn't matter lol look at my bowl. So happy I ate here instead of having my mouth water all the way back to Long Beach

First tried this according to Yelp 5 years ago. This place is still as good or even better than I remember. We love carnitas and chicharrones. The last time we got some carnitas, surtido, chicharron, tortillas, rice, beans and two types of salsas. Everything was delicious.

Found this spot on yelp. Came and ordered a sopa de res and it was super flavorful! You could tell it was made from scratch . The gentlemen that assisted me was super polite and attentive! Highly recommend other to try

Server was very sweet and attentive and the tacos were exactly what I was looking for! So crispy you can hear them crackling on the fresh tortillas.

Rob's Burrito is amazingly delicious and the service is attentive and kind! It is a must try.

Chicharro Land!! The BOMB BOMB ‼ First visit was today, for lunch, and my chicharrone lovin' heart went pitter patter The tortillas are soft, warm, fresh and flavorful. Many places make their own tortillas but don't necessarily have great flavor. These had that fresh nixtamal, corn flavor. The mound of chicharrón nestled inside the tortillas was soft, succulent and savory. Oooo I'm getting flashbacks. I also had a taco surtido, which is a blend of carnita, chicharrón, buche and costilla; that was killer. I had the menudo too! Pieces of carne were soft and thick. The pata was tender and had lots of tissue. The caldo was rich and tasty. Great, great, great place. Family owned and they're so nice! They take REAL pride in their quality and making consistency priority #1.

I saw this place on the Internet, and I went because it was really close by and had high hopes, look forward to the food, I understand that the economy is not great at the moment, but $17 for a small plate of cooked chips, onion, sour cream, and cheese Seems kind of a rip off, there's another place nearby that charges the same amount, but three times bigger the portion, I will admit it does taste good but for the price not really, a little expensive for a small plate, service was great.

Food is amazing so flavorful, the service is great they are very friendly and attentive and are always smiling which is huge. Its a cute place and they always decorate for the holidays. I recommend the tacos de buche or surtidos and get there guacamole, they give it to you with chicharones and cheese on top so delicious !!

Usually order the carnitas after a hangover for takeout and it ALWAYS hits. They have great service and friendly staff

I can't believe this has been around the corner the whole two years I've lived here. Just had a phenomenal breakfast burrito (maybe one of the best I've had in LA) made with carnitas. Grilled warm tortilla, juicy carnitas and crispy hash brown with fluffy egg. Just excellent. The location is easy to find and super clean.

Let me start off by giving Roberto a shout out. He was so patient and informative. We explained that we wanted some carnitas for 12 people and he was so nice that he showed us what a pound looked like so we could decide how much more meat we wanted to add. We got the family meal deal and another 1 1/2 of carnitas and 1 pound of chicharrón. We waited just a few minutes for the order. So delicious with so much flavor and the salsas we're on point. Not to mention the hand made tortillas. Yum!!!!!! A huge plus is that they have rear parking because that street parking is no joke. You can call ahead to order or you can just enjoy your food there. Come check them out.

First time here and I live nearby. Great food, ordered the chorizo and egg breakfast burrito and it's the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Great friendly people there, greeted once you walk-in and you're taken care of. You can't beat quality like this. Will be back for more burritos, thank you!

The carnitas and chicharron here are so good give it a try! The service is good, keep in mind the time to get your food out does take a while but nothing too bad. Very clean inside.

The food is always excellent. It never disappoints and the services is great too. The environment is nice you always feel welcomed, and Every dish I've tried has been delicious. My favorite is the surtido plate but all of them are delicious.

Chicharrolanda is hands down one of the best spots for gorditas, carnitas, and chicharrón in the area. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the customer service is excellent. While parking in front of the business can be challenging, there's additional parking available at the back through an alley.

Overpriced for ok regular Mexican food. A Jamaica water cup $12. They don't put the prices on the menu so you notice how much your check you get the great surprise.

TL;DR: Great place for some good food and of course Chicarron! Stayed over in downtown and was craving some non gentrified Mexican food. When I tell you I was amazed at the service, quality, and price of everything! Please please check them out if you're around. The waitress and cook are the kindest and gave us samples of the caritas, told us their story, and treated us so well during lunch rush. 10/10 will visit again Recommend the gorditas and breakfast burritos. Super filling and not over fried

Best chicharron in Los Angeles! Family owned. Humble, nice and excellent service. Love the food and the people just make it feel like home. The botana and the soft green or red and hard (chicharron)tacos are great. Quality tortillas. Been coming 7 years + more. Dios los bendiga

I placed two orders, the carnitas plate which was good, I've had better to be honest. Not sure what the fuzz is all about the carnitas dish, it was good but not great. The second order was the chicharrón. I ordered a pound, I was so disappointed to see the bag of pork rinds lol! The chicharrón Im used to eating and have always had, has meat (fried pork belly), soooo disappointing to have a huge bag of pork rinds. however the tortillas were so good and so fresh. The avocado salsa was delicious!

The best gorditas, quesadillas, chicharron, surtido that i have tasted in all the years living in the usa. The owner is so attentive, make you feel at home. I do highly recommended.

Excellent food and service. I love their Pozole Verde with all white meat chicken! I have only ordered takeout and when I get home, I substitute the shredded lettuce they serve with it for shredded cabbage. Yummy!! Their Pozole is not overly salty or spicy...but the level of spice does vary. We enjoy their picadilla, it is like guacamole but no tomatoes. It comes with cheese on top. Ask for mild/medium peppers in it, if you prefer not too spicy food. Personable over the phone, some times the phone is answered by someone who only speaks Spanish, but they quickly say 'hold please' and put on a person to easily communicate with you in English. You can see into the kitchen and it is very clean and orderly. Park in back, especially on the weekends!

I honestly don't know why i haven't written a review for this place yet.. I've been here a good amount of times and it NEVER disappoints. Its a small place, family oriented. If you're looking for a place with good flavored food and good service, this is it. Super authentic Mexican food. The carnitas is my favorite. You can definitely tell they know what they're doing bc the texture and flavor is on point! If I could give this place 6 stars, I would!

Hidden gem in South LA., I can honestly say they have the best carnitas estilo Michoacan. The food was so good and had that homemade flavor, like something that came out of my mom's kitchen. Their handmade tortillas made me think I was in TJ with some legit Mexican food. This will now be my go to place for authentic carnitas, frijoles, tortillas and nopales.

I found this place on Yelp near my job and BOY!! The chicken Pozole is so good. The broth and chicken is seasoned well, and the flavors blend so nicely together. Will be visiting again!!!!!!

This review is based mainly on one my favorite Mexican dishes, chilaquiles. It's definitely not a good sign when I look at my food and ask "What is this?" Sour cream and grease is what I mostly saw. I grab my fork and swivel through the greasy, soggy tortillas to try and figure out what happened here. Seemed to be more of a soup. After trying the chilaquiles, the sauce/grease tasted bland. Needed salt and a better formula for making the sauce, less grease too. Yes, the tortilla chips are fried but they could've been strained. I don't think the tomatoes and chiles have grease so why was the sauce so greasy? I understand this order was to go so Roberto might argue that due to this, that could be why the tortillas were soggy. Please look at the pic (under my pics) of a take out order from a different restaurant. I can tell those are chilaquiles and they weren't soggy/greasy. Another restaurant gave me the sauce on the side to pour over the crunchy tortilla chips once I was ready. I hate to leave negative reviews but this is by far the worst chilaquiles I've ever had. Added a star for the handmade tortillas and the effort on the ham and eggs dish. Rice and beans were ok. Sorry about the long review but I was very disappointed with this experience.

No parking , DIDNT want to give me service because they had a big order which sucks because they shouldn't kick you out because they can't handle situations like that . So they deny service to me over all . I don't recommend they always take long .

From the staff to the menudo my experience visiting and dining for the first time was amazing. Will be back! Quaint, clean and delish. I over indulged and ordered the chicharrón en salsa verde and carnitas taco, which was superb. I also ordered a bowl of menudo, which hit the spot.

This is the best place to eat if you want authentic Mexican food! Had the best green pozole here and the hand made tortillas were the BEST I've ever had. I had the green pozole which came with all the condiments and tostadas with creams Osito had the Carnitas surtido which had carnitas, buche abs cueritos. Best buche I've had too. The owners were super friendly especially the young man that took out order. A must come to and worth the trip. We will be coming back. I'm glad in a way that they aren't too close by where we live because I'd eat here everyday and probably gain a lot of weight !

Food was absolutely delicious. My husband and I had the green pozole, green chicharron tacos and the carnitas plate. To top it off the staff was very friendly. Keep up the great work. We'll be back very soon.

All I can say is O....M......G! This review is a long time coming. The name lives up to the reputation. First, the chicharron is super fresh, crispy, warm and oh so delicious. The carnitas are moist, succulent and taste bomb with their fresh hand made tortillas. The salsas....oh the salsas.... yummm. Everything is delicious and affordable. The best of all is the friendly, super attentive staff. They even brought the food out to our car so we didn't have to come in. This place is a diamond in the rough. I'll definitely be coming back for more!!!!

Man oh man let me start by saying these people got it going on. Family owned business and they got it together. Not only are they opened during covid but there food is on point. Stopped here yesterday found this place by chance. Left our house in orange California and just took a drive. Had a craving for chicharon yelped it and found this place luckily 8 miles from where we were and we headed there. We were only going to get chicharon but the nice young man in the front said you want anything else, gave some suggestions and ended up getting chicharon,carnitas, buche and cueritos oh and a dozen of home made tortillas. The food was phenomenal!!! We were set for the ride back home and dinner. Love supporting family owned business and people that know what food should taste like. Definately will.be back for a sit down meal when this is all over!

I'm back! Almost 2 years since I discovered this spot and I can happily say, it's still THE BOMB. Yep! Still freakin' delicious. And my oh my, maybe it's just gotten better? Because lord, lord, lord, we can't get enough. It all started with pozole. Now, we indulge in carnitas, cueritos, gorditas de chorizo (my brother's favorite), huaraches, menudo, burritos, breakfast huevos rancheros, the list goes on. The food is still tasty. The ingredients. Top notch! The service? Always great. I hate to admit it, but I'm kinda excited the days when I am too tired to cook or there's nothing in the fridge because Chicharroland always comes through. This family puts in a lot of work and they're consistently delivering the best they can. They care about the food and customer satisfaction. I do think we need to go there in person more often because we stay ordering on UberEats but either way, they make us feel like we're right there, and being there or being home feels like home. So, it's a win-win! As soon as this coronavirus thing wraps up, we'll be back there to thank them in person, tell them how awesome they are and how much their food brings happiness to our bellies. Chicharrón had a very authentic Mexican taste. Must try for anyone nearby. The avocado salsa was on point not too mild not too spicy! 10/10 will stop by again.

I made the mistake of ordering the green posole and it was so delicious, I just know I'm now addicted. I had half the posole and was already trying to decide when to have it delivered this week. I also ordered a carne asada sope and I can't stop thinking about it lol The owner took my order and was SO friendly. Can't wait to get more food from Chicharroland.

Best spot for Chicharron!!!! Si no es de aqui I don't eat it lol ( I take like 1 or 2 business cards every time I go because when people ask me where I get my chicharron I give them a card - the one stuck on my fridge, so then I have to replace it )
