We LOVE Chick Fil A and I was really hoping you'd do better, Whipple CFA! Breaks my chicken nuggie lovin heart to give Chick Fil A a mere two stars. Frankly, it would've been one star if not for the delicious Frosted Lemonade to semi-appease hangry me.
Horrible parking lot logistics aside, our 1st experience here was a disaster. Y'all been open far long enough to work out the woes of a "new" location. Running total of 1 hour from order, arrival, and bag in hand to receive a partial order of cold food. This. Is. Not. Okay.
Multiple missed opportunities to make our experience better. Huge disconnect between the helpful runners braving the nipply cold weather and the window staff to recall mobile orders for drive thru pickups.
Placed our mobile order in advance of our drive to this location. Came all this way to be advised upon arrival that they only have spicy chicken sandwiches as they've run out of chicken nuggets and strips - which is literally all that we came for (and the obligatory CFA sauce, of course).
APP FAIL: No notification for substitution suggestions nor refund options. Users don't find out menu items are out of stock until you navigate through their nightmare of a parking lot to speak with a live person. False nugget hopes is such a waste of time, gas, and energy. We would've canceled had the app told us this from the jump.
TO MANAGEMENT: UP your par levels so you don't run TF out of nuggets and strips on a bustling Saturday night, during holiday season nonetheless!
After enduring the 30 minute clusterfk from 101/Whipple to their poorly planned drive thru lanes, we finally get to the tablet folks who checked us in for our mobile order. +15 mins to reach the drive up window from here, where 2 employees were unable to find our order. Onto the next wait where we're asked to pull over for curbside delivery.
+15 more mins elapsed. Runner came out with our substitute order. I inquired if the two 8oz bottles of Chick Fil A sauce I was charged for were included in the bags before she handed the order over. She shrugs, "uhm it should be" and walks away without even looking. THATS HOW YOU REALLY FEEL?!?! There is steam erupting out my ears at this point. Unfkenacceptable!!! What COULD have been a small gesture from the employee to check would have saved us the grievance. But no caring moments here.
Between employees in the back bagging up orders to frontline runners who delivered, not a single person cared enough to DO THEIR JOB to ensure all paid items were accounted for.
Sorely disappointed as a CFA app virgin and even more disappointed with our first time at this location. Very unlikely to return here, the hassle is simple not worth the drive. Can't recommend using the inefficient app again unless there are options to address out of stock items.
If you're looking for a stellar Chick Fil A experience, stay on 101 and keep driving through San Mateo County into the next area code bc San Carlos CFA ain't the one.
