"The new fried fowl destination offers grilled chicken options in tender and sandwich form, plus salads, plenty of fries, and 22 sauces. Fried tenders are brined in a mixture of fresh lemon juice, pickle juice, and buttermilk, and infused with a proprietary blend of herbs and spices. The chicken is all-natural, antibiotic-free, and never frozen. Additionally, there are six shakes for sipping, ranging from standard chocolate to apple cinnamon cereal made with handspun vanilla soft-serve." - Delia Jo Ramsey

"Celebrity chef and self-proclaimed mayor of Flavortown Guy Fieri and restaurateur Robert Earl (Planet Hollywood) finally opened up Chicken Guy in downtown Nashville last week, at the corner of Second Avenue and Commerce. Located in one of the buildings damaged in Nashville’s Christmas Day bombing, at 139 Second Avenue North, the new fried fowl destination also offers grilled chicken options in tender and in sandwich form, plus salads, plenty of fries, and a whopping selection of 22 sauces. Fried tenders are brined in a mixture of fresh lemon juice, pickle juice, and buttermilk and infused with a proprietary blend of herbs and spices. They boast that the chicken here is all-natural, antibiotic-free, and never frozen. On the sweeter side, there are six shakes for sipping, ranging from standard chocolate to apple cinnamon cereal made with handspun vanilla soft-serve. Chicken Guy! opened its flagship location at Disney Springs at the Walt Disney World Resort in 2018 before beginning its nationwide expansion. Fieri’s fast-casual fried chicken Restaurants are also on tap for Knoxville, Gatlinburg, and Johnson City, Tennessee in the near future." - Delia Jo Ramsey

What I like: 1. The most flavorful sauces with creative names! 2. The chicken tenders were fresh and temperature hot. 3. Dining area was super clean as well as the bathroom which was surprising because his restaurant is downtown. 4. Employees had amazing customer service and very knowledgeable about the menu for people who are tourist. What I didn’t like: 1.Downtown issue such as limited parking

The menu above the register is pretty straight forward. Chicken tenders, fries, Mac n cheese, soda. The real fun is in the sauces. The chicken was crispy and well cooked, but the wide variety of sauces to dip them in is what really makes this place. Some friends and I had a little fun and ordered one of every sauce. We had a consensus that the donkey sauce was by far the best of the bunch. We had other “top three” sauces which included the lemon pepper, spicy Mayo, cumin lime mojo, and special sauce, though of course we all had our own tastes and preferences. There wasn’t one sauce we didn’t enjoy. The restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is fun and funky (in a good way), the service was very fast and friendly, the music was good, and the food was tasty. Would definitely recommend and return.

Decided to check this place out since it was new in town. Despite guy being a beloved personality on TV, the food he puts his name behind is not very good. We got a mixture of items, chicken tender meal, chicken sandwich, the loaded fries, and the mac and cheese. Let's start with the good stuff, the fries were actually really good, loaded with bacon and cheese sauce, along with some chicken, had really good flavoring overall, it was really tasty. The mac and cheese was decent enough, not really great, but good for a chain restaurant. The chicken, the namesake of the restaurant, was jus ugh. It was literally a beaten flat piece of chicken, fried to a crisp, with no flavor. And it was fried so hard that it literally snapped when you tore it in half. Should be renamed a chicken crisp. It seemed to be more of a piece of chicken that you would use to make schnitzel with, not make a sandwich with, or serve as tenders. The selection of sauces was really good, pretty varied for anyone's taste. Atmosphere is pretty neat, and the staff were equally helpful and pleasant.

It’s fast food. I gave it 4 stars because the chicken was pounded and it was a quality piece of chicken. Unfortunately, the chicken lacks seasoning. I tried a number of sauces and my favorite is “Nashville Hot” although it’s basically honey with heat. I ordered a chocolate shake and if you like Nestle’s chocolate syrup, this shake is for you. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu.

A little disappointing for a Guy Fieri fan. Was it good? Eh, not too shabby, but it wasn't worth the hour drive. Let's start with the obvious - the chicken was great. Flavorful, tender, juicy. The sauce selection was great - the Peri Peri especially. The fries were... Less great. Average to mediocre. Good texture, but bland. The loaded fries were alright, but I didn't quite care for the SMC cheese sauce. It was better than some nacho -style cheese sauce I've had, but not phenomenal. The biggest issue I had (somewhat ironically) was cleanliness. The crew had pre folded a bunch of the boxes that the chicken comes in... And just sort of stacked them out in the dining room. And when we were leaving, someone was sitting next to the door folding more. Honestly, that felt like a bit of a red flag - we're still dealing with COVID, and I wouldn't feel entirely comfy with the wrappers being exposed to the public before they get put out the window. In addition, at least one box of these wrappers was just kinda sitting on the floor. Issues to be dealt with.

Great variety of sauces (our favorite was the curry sauce!), you’ll def find something you like! Fries and tenders are great, very filling lunch. The tenders almost look like chicken fillets they’re so big. The milkshakes were incredible! Staff was welcoming & super sweet and we got our food super fast, and it was still hot. Definitely will come back again

We were going to be in the Nashville area and we're excited to get to try Chicken Guy. We had watched Guy's Ultimate Challenge and saw all about the food and attention to detail that Guy put into this new venture of his. It was a Saturday night at 5:30 and Broadway was very crowded. We were expecting to have to wait in line, but we're pleasantly surprised to find no line at all and the dining room was about half full. The menu consists of chicken sandwiches, chicken strips and loaded Mac and cheese. They also have a wide range of sauces so that anyone should be able to find something to their liking. We ordered the 5 piece strip dinner. The chicken was the perfect size and thickness. The breading was uniform and consistent on all five pieces. The strips were cooked to perfection. Now for the taste! The breading on the strips was bland. My wife said it needed more salt. We tried the buttermilk ranch, honey mustard, sweet chili, and Nashville hot honey. Definitely not a trip to Flavor Town that I thought I was going to experience! The sauces just did not have much flavor. The honey mustard had too much mustard dominate flavor. The hot honey had more honey and not enough hot. The staff was very helpful and attentive. This was ok, but not what I would expect from Guy Fieri.

When I seen Guy Fieri had a new chicken thang going on in Nashville, I'm like I'm trying it. Then of course I did. The atmosphere was nice, the service was fast and friendly. The music was pumpin' at just the right level, to keep your good eats groovin'. So many sauces to choose from, all sounding better than the previous. Very affordable good quality fast food. The chopped salads sounded amazing. If you are Nashville, eat at Chicken Guys. I know, you had good chicken. I don't give a CLUCK. You've got to give it a try. Don't forget your 'gram moment with Guy. Keke's sauce recommendations were spot on. Tamario, great job young man.
