Guy Fieri has a chicken chain and it's finally arrived in Las Vegas! I was really exited to check this place out since I'm somewhat of a fried chicken critic. I was attending the Garth Brooks residency at the coliseum and needed some grub when the show ended which led me to the long that was forming in front of Chicken Guy. The menu here is mostly chicken sandwiches and chicken strips with outrageous prices (this casino jacks up the prices, I'm aware of this) but when it comes to the quality of the food, the service, and overall experience the price obviously does come into play. I ordered the basic chicken sandwich with the sauce as well as the appetizer order of the Buffalo chicken macaroni and cheese and the food. Service itself was kinda slow, but it was also super busy so who cares, things happen. I'm gonna be very blunt about the chicken sandwich.....it tasted the exact same as every fast food chicken sandwich that isn't one of the top dogs. It was very mediocre, had almost no memorable flavour to it, and for almost $16 I would rather eat literally anywhere else then order that again. The macaroni and cheese with chicken appetizer was solid enough for what it was and the portion size was pretty solid, but nothing to really write home about.
Overall, Chicken Guy just didn't do much for me. The quality of food wasn't worth the price and living in a city like Vegas I would much rather eat at Big Chicken, The Chicken Shack, or one of the many other places that don't charge $16 for a chicken sandwich. Is this place trash? No, it serves a purpose and the food isn't terrible, so if you are a tourist live it up, but for locals, nah.
