This is a chain and just a fast chicken bowl place but it’s also just one of my favorite things to eat? Extra original, spicy and garlic cilantro sauces

The rice bowl was very good...no complaints there. If I'm ever in Miami again, I'll visit this place. I loved how well the flavors came together. However, the service wasn't that great. The guy preparing the food had a bit of an attitude, like he was bothered. He wouldn't speak when I'd ask questions. He'd just point at things.

Google
Very good customer service. Friendly staff. Loved the food here. The food quality and portion size are great. Would definitely recommend this place. The store is neat and clean. The location is also gods. You can Park your vehicle on the side curb. Overall excellent experience.

I walked into this place expecting a simple, decent meal but got treated like I was the problem before I even got my food. From the start, the older lady and the cashier with the big chin gave me nothing but hostile stares—mugging me hard like I was some kind of inconvenience. Then, after waiting, I got the wrong order. When I pointed it out, the cashier just shrugged like she didn’t care, despite clearly not speaking much English. How is someone like that handling orders in a busy U.S. store? That’s beyond careless. I asked for curry sauce (one out of hundreds available), and the cashier acted like I was speaking a different language. It was so frustrating I almost lost it. To top it all off, I overheard the two of them mumbling about me, and as I left, their judgmental, hateful stares followed me across the street. It was clear they resented having to work there and took it out on customers. Look, all I wanted was my correct order and basic respect. Instead, I got poor service, rude behavior, and what felt like outright hostility. This isn’t how a business should treat its customers. Absolute trash all I wanted was my right order.

You can get some good Mexican food options. I feel the serving size of the chicken platter is good for 1.5 people, not for 2 .

Google
Just had an awesome lunch at Chicken Kitchen! The vibe was super chill, perfect for families. Their rice bowls are tasty and healthy—easy to feel good about! Staff was friendly too. Can't wait to go back! 🐔✨ 146 NE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33132

This Location is the best chicken kitchen that I have ever been to. The team members provide excellent service and work at a steady pace. The exceptional Chef named Jamal prepares mouthwatering meals that is guaranteed to bring customers back. I loved my experience and I would definitely come back here.

Google
This is the best chicken kitchen location I’ve ever been to. I love a block away and I order from them at least 2 times a week. Their staff is very clean, fast and they’re are always smiling and in a great mood, and the food is always really fresh. Hands down the best chicken kitchen location of all south Florida!!!!

Google
I didn’t enjoy the chicken—no seasoning or flavor..it was disappointing but the sauces and condiments were fresh and delicious! the service and location was great. 3/10

Yelp
WONDERFUL!!! I've eaten here at this Downtown Miami a few times since I work a few blocks away. The food is yummy, fresh and hot plus good portions. It's fast at a reasonable price. The staff is very professional and friendly. The place is clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this place! (NOTE: There are a number of homeless hanging around the area but NOT near this place.)

Yelp
Was in the area for Miami Music Week. This place was near my hotel. Been eating fast food all week so, I needed to cleanse with somewhat "healthy" food. This place is super clean! It's "chipotle style" service The service is a little slow because they're cutting and cooking the meat on the spot. Not a problem because they were friendly. The food was just okay. Nothing special. The food needs a more flavor in my opinion. It needs some sauces to make it up because it was plain. I thought chicken was dry. I would say if you don't care in the moment like I did, this place is great for a quick meal cause I got my food in less than 20 minutes. But if you're looking for something higher quality or flavor... I say skip

Yelp
Good spot downtown Miami to get a quick reasonable lunch. There used to be one near me but they closed a while back. I stop in every once in a while when I am down in Miami.

Yelp
Service was actually terrible and all the ingredients seemed old. The guacamole was barely even green and the food station was so messy. We barely had any other options so we got the Mexican bowls and although they load them up with toppings, the quality just wasn't there. Maybe the other locations are better but I won't be going back to find out.

Cary C.

Yelp
Can you believe they charge you for the chicken skin? It's the skin part of the chicken! Ridiculous!!!

Nicole R.

Yelp
I went to Chicken Kitchen for a regular chop. I asked the lady for the ski. She said it's extra. She took the skin off the chicken to charge me extra to put it back on the chicKen. that is unacceptable and not right to charge extra for something that's already on the chicken. I am very disappointed they are being greedy and over charging.

Yelp
the service and food was amazing the restaurant was very very cleannn i loved the vibe

Yelp
I love chicken kitchen and always visit this location for lunch. Staff is so friendly and always very attentive to what we need. They always make sure everything is right with our order. Food is always great as well as the portions. Very clean space too!

Yelp
Chicken Kitchen is still around and still delicious after all these years. One of the healthiest and inexpensive meals in town. Like to see more variety in their menu as not everyone wants all the carbs of the original chop chop. Platters, burritos and now breakfast are only a sample of some of their offerings. Their signature item is their citrus-marinated chicken. It is delicious. Service was quick and the lunch line moved very quickly. Also got a few smiles as well. Put this on your regular downtown lunch or dinner rotation and please add back another store in Brickell.
google avatar

Diego A.

Yelp
Service is mediocre here. No greeting, no smiles, no friendliness. The location is great! Right off the metro mover. The food was on the bland side. I've had Chicken Kitchen many times and have always tasted more flavor and savoriness to the chicken. This had to be doused in sauce to add flavor. But in the end, it's decent enough and better than fast food.

Yelp
I really appreciate the consistency of service and quality at this Chicken Kitchen location. The chicken is very high quality and although this location is quite busy, I am usually in and out in under 10 minutes. They are always stocked up with my favorite sauces and never fail to send me off with a friendly smile. I would recommend Chicken Kitchen to my friends and family in a heart beat.

Ella H.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Got chicken quesadilla.... So simple yet so perfect. Service was quick & workers were kind. Ingredients were so fresh!

Yelp
The service and food at the downtown Miami Chicken Kitchen is top-notch! Manager, Juan, is warm, friendly, attentive, and goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Kudos to Juan and his entire team!

Maura M.

Yelp
JUST WANTED TO SHARETHIS They always make sure everything is right with our order. Food is always great as well as the portions. Very clean space too! the manger Juan is always asking if u need any sauce very friendly even his skills of mangement are great. The store is always kept clean and when is busy every one there is a team player very happy to go there

Christopher P.

Yelp
The staff is absolutely some of the rudest folks you will ever encounter. I walked in with no one in line and the lady behind the counter just looked at me with this bizarre stare and didn't say a word. I wasn't sure what to do so I said Hello, not Hola loudly. She never responded and just gave me this nasty look. Thank goodness the food is yummy here otherwise I would avoid this place at all cost!

Yelp
I love the place and the food there is great. It is my favorite fast food spot. The service there is good and you can see them make what you want. They do have some vegetarian options but they mostly have meat options. I love the place and if you go there I am sure you will too, but it is true that fast food isn't for everyone
google avatar

Javier R.

Yelp
Good lunch spot. Clean restaurant with fast service. The chicken is tasty and very delicious with all the fixings. The prices are very fare and the portion sizes are huge. Be ready to eat. Theres lots of seating available. Very nice spot for a hardy bite in downtown Miami.

Yelp
This place is great! Really delicious food and a wide array of options. The facility is clean, staff is great and the prices and reasonable. Couldn't ask for anything else. Would def recommend checking it out.

Yelp
I'm in love with this place so quick and easy to order they're always in good spirit! The food is always fresh. I'll always come back here

Alex C.

Yelp
A great place with great food and very very friendly staff! Great if you're coming out of college from MDC and need a bite to eat, they're the best! Even if you come in early, they'll open the door and make sure you get your food. Literally the ONLY chicken kitchen or restaurant to do that

Yelp
Horrible customer service. I have been in customer service for 15 years and by far have never been treated so poorly as I have in Florida. Specifically the young woman who was working the counter today. She was short with me for no reason. If you don't want to help people get out of customer service.

Yelp
I think I re-discovered my love for Chicken Kitchen. I stopped eating it for a while because the location I frequented was no longer a pleasant experience. However, I have changed my opinion and it is because of the location in downtown Miami. It's clean, the food is fresh, they move quickly and don't skimp on any portions. It seems as though they did some renos and the people are very nice. I typically take the MetroMover so I have not have to deal with parking but there are a few lots and street parking if you need it.
google avatar

Jose D.

Yelp
VERY DIRTY PLACE. STAY AWAY!!! This is not this first time I go to this location to have my food made with no gloves on so I literally just walked out. Make it even better when I was entering the guy behind the counter was making himself a pitta sandwich with no gloves or mask. Never coming to this location again.

Yelp
I ordered a Doordash delivery from this location. The sweet potato was old and black.

Yelp
While a chop chop can easily solve a fast and inexpensive lunch craving, here's why it's a solid choice yet one that needs a revamping. The rice isn't exactly made fresh to order so the sauces you add as toppings are what they tend to soak up. I'm a fan of the oriental chop chop yet only half the time is white rice available instead of the traditional yellow one. The shredded lettuce could be a bit greener as it would essentially enhance a large portion of their menu. I do like the option of adding an extra side of chopped chicken which is a great addition to a soup or salad as well. It's right by the Loft2 apartments so it's within walking distance for easy pickup orders. The curry mustard is the highlight of this spot but overwhelming portions of such are needed to douse the mediocre bowl you've ordered. It's both a hit and a loss; depends how you view it.

Yelp
Not bad...but not great. My friend likes this place so we stopped by to pick up food since I saw they recently opened. We ordered the large Deluxe chicken bowl and small Teriyaki chicken bowl. The deluxe chicken looked alright, but the teriyaki was incredibly sad looking. Imagine a brown mound of gravy on yellow rice. I was super confused when the server pointed to that dish since I didn't think it was mine! You could throw veggies on it, which makes it a sesame bowl for $1 more, but I opted to keep the sad dish since I was going home and had salad there. By the time I got home, the gravy soaked into the rice so I could actually see chicken! The dish was ok for $6. This place seems like a healthy-ish lunch spot for the weekday workers downtown, but as a resident of the area, it's not a place I would frequent. Street pay by phone parking, metromover stop nearby. Pretty spacious place, plenty of seats.
google avatar

Kiera S.

Yelp
Didn't like service at all. I'm big on customer service this restaurants employees did not greet, acknowledge, or even feel attentive. Head down entire time.... I found it odd they just chopped chicken the whole time even when taking my order. Communicated with each other only very despondent even when cashing me out. I would recommend Chicken Kitchen train on the customer experience that's the difference between a reputation and building business. This operation is ran like an assembly line void of service, food was ok.

Alcides C.

Yelp
I was displeased with the customer service , I had to repeat my self over 2 times , simply said a bazooka with no rice and the look on the girls face was like I asked her to do calculus. I later realized she didn't make it correctly and was missing certain ingredients like beans. The serving portions are very small and the bowls are not the same as other C.K I have been too. The bowls at this location I feel are made to handle less portions than other C.K. :(

Papita F.

Yelp
The chicken is undercooked at least when I tried to order food. The priority is to delivery over in store orders. Only one in the area you would think it would be run better.
google avatar

Bill N.

Yelp
I ordered from here for delivery. Got the Cuban Chop Chop with banana peppers and corn mix. Plus the garlic cilantro sauce and chipotle sauce, oh and extra chicken. Not sure what everyone's talking bout. This place is pretty dank! It's healthy food for you, and if you don't add the right ingredients I feel it might be too bland with the bowl itself. I feel like the corn and the banana peppers added a ton of flavor. Aside from that, they're garlic cilantro sauce is really all you need cause this shiz is suuper dank. Awesome healthy choice in my opinion. Might not be super healthy inhaling these sauces but life's about living, walking a fine line between chaos and order, self care and self destruction. At least my brotein needs were met.

Yelp
Thank god for chicken kitchen being open! I tried it once and have been hooked since then (3 times in one week). Great portions and still hot when I order through Uber eats and always pretty quick. Ive only tried the teriyaki chicken bowl and cannot get enough of it. They def need more advertising, i wish I knew about this place sooner.
google avatar

Yelp
I always love chicken kitchen but this location for some reason always sends out my order (1 bowl that takes 10 mins to put together max) over an hour and a half or more later. They never answer the phone so you can't get updates. The owner from past reviews clearly hasn't made changes as you can see the same issues with the same responses from him to "get a free meal" and the same "sorry" for everyone. It's frustrating dealing with a store that you actually like that doesn't care about their customers or fix the problems. Imagine ordering food and not receiving it until almost 2 hours later.....
google avatar

Emily F.

Yelp
Don't order to go. The order is always wrong and they always forget to provide the sauces and pita bread too.
google avatar

Gaby M.

Yelp
They didn't even give me chicken in my bowl.... Like are you kidding me.... I bought 4 mexican bowls here and they didn't put chicken on one of them. I also ordered and payed for a side of rice and beans and then they didn't give me either of them... Unfortunately I didn't realize until i was 30 minutes away. Disappointed
google avatar

Josue A.

Yelp
Food was very poorly cooked, causing everyone in the household who ate it to get very sick in the stomach. Order didn't include the pita bread, and pieces of chicken were still raw. Lettuce was old and a fork was also not included. I will not be ordering from here again, and highly caution those who intend to do so.

Jorge P.

Yelp
Sad to say I will never order from this chicken kitchen again. I have been ordering from here for 3 years on Uber eats now. And it never fails, orders are always wrong. Food is the worst of all chicken kitchens, not sure in restaurant but ordering through Uber eats your food will come cold. Very cold. They laugh at the instructions you put so don't waste your time if you are ordering online. And don't pay for extra sauces they won't provide them. Today they didn't give me any sauce. Will never order from here again.

Yelp
"Sadly, the mummification of Mary Brickell Village proceeds apace" We were one of the first families to visit this eatery's first shop in Miami Beach where we had the chance to meet Regie, a nice Haitian-American that at the time was handling the grill. After a few years he moved on as the manager of the new branch in Brickell and we followed him as we lived nearby. Regie was always ready to provide the very best family deals with a smile and he made.a point of personally take care of us. Une petite caresse a notre dos! After an absence of a few years I decided to re-visit the place 2 weeks ago; I called in advance to relay my sizeable order as I was riding in a Lyft car service and had only a few minutes to spare. Someone supposedly called Vivian answered the phone and she couldn't take my order. She bluntly passed the phone to a man called Pedro, who was supposedly the new manager. I told him clearly in Spanish that I had a big order and wanted him to get it afoot. He said to me: "Wait a minute" and he left. I was kept waiting for ten minutes and then Vivian picked up the phone and said: "we're just too busy now. The manager can't help you." I arrived a few minutes after she hung up. In one of my uploaded pictures you can see for yourself the empty salon at 3 PM on a Saturday, the quiet time between lunch and dinner everywhere. This is an unfortunate turn of events as I never suspected that this place would get infected with what I dubbed "the mummification" of Customer service in Brickell and beyond. Graceless, slightly rude and totally indifferent young people are being hired to take care of informed, demanding customers like myself in one of the more dynamic and sophisticated areas of Date County. Two major eateries in the Village's food plaza had gone down in the last few months for precisely that stand-o-fish attitude towards their customers. Instead of waking up and revamp their service credentials, the business owners seem to be going the other way: hire untrained, uncaring young people to just save a buck. Fortunately we were helped by Lawrence who expeditiously filled our order with great care and enthusiasm. This Bahamiam-born lad had the right predisposition and the right manners. The food was still very good and healthy with a limited but nice array of side dishes for the chicken platters; the pricing was reasonable. I think that we should consider "importing" more guys and gals from the Islands to show us the old-fashioned manners that we seem to be losing in the BRSF. And it's urgent. Customers are getting fed up with this disrespectful and detached Customer Dis-Service. Don' t worry. We'll be back for a follow-up. By the way, did anyone see Pedrito? Is he having a little siesta?

Yelp
I will likely give this place another chance. My wife and I went in and ordered two large bowls of veggie and one chicken teriyaki. The veggie lacked flavor. The beans and the rice had almost no salt and the seasoning was not standing out. The teriyaki was the complete opposite. The teriyaki took over and we couldn't feel the taste of anything else in the plate. Besides even the chicken felt like a dried ball of teriyaki. I feel that we went there on Sunday when the food rotation is not that big and the chicken may have been there for way too long - just speculating. The food portions were great and two bowls can feed three hungry people. This is why I need to go there again. This place is packed mo-fri and I can't believe that only we had a bad experience.

You would be better off microwaving a breast of chicken with a bag a rice a roni. Deluxe ChickenDeluxe ChickenDeluxe Chicken

Yelp
Should train their employees better. I work downtown and eat the same thing in this Chicken Kitchen at least 3 times a week. I always order Bazooka Wrapito without rice (because I cannot eat rice due to health problems) which costs $9.50. I never ask the rice to be replaced with something else (as is common thing to do in these type of cases). In this occasion, as always, I asked for the same thing. The "manager" charged me as if it was a no rice wrapito and added INDIVIDUALLY each item that comes in the Bazooka one. This ended up costing $11.55. I pay and I notice this discrepancy in the price. I go the manager and let her know what she charged me, just expecting to be refunded the two dollars and get my wrapito and go on with my life. Nevertheless, the "manager" tries to "correct" me saying that I - CANNOT - ask for my Bazooka Wrapito without rice (implying that because I want a Bazooka then I HAVE to have rice). But, I repeat, I've been eating the same thing for maybe a year now. And I've never been charged this. And ok, I understand that if that's a new policy, you have to adhere to it. But at least let the costumer know and explain it. But the "manager" told me that it has always been like that (when it hasn't). She was extremely rude when I was trying to explain why what they charged me was wrong and she said: "ok but the difference is one dollar what's the problem". 1. The difference is two dollars. 2. It's not her money so she shouldn't talk like that. 3. I was just trying to politely let her know that she was doing something wrong so there wouldn't be any problems in the future with me or other costumers. So this "manager" (the one present at 3PM in 03/14/20) was talking to me as if I didn't know a thing when I'm a regular costumer there, refused, literally, refused, to charge me the Bazooka as usual and when I decided that then I didn't want it and gave her my card back so she could refund me im my card, she gave me cash back because she didn't know how to refund me in my card. Never apologized for the inconvenience and threw the money at me. I'm so disappointed because I come here every week and now I just feel like I can't because employees are going to be like that. Because I mean, if the "MANAGER" acts like that, what's left for the rest ?

Yelp
Lunch was still good yesterday & I had a mexican chop bowl this time, but I was really disappointed that they do NOT give you pita with your chop chop? I am going to ask next time I go. I wonder if the Franchise did away with the 1/2 pita that used to come with the chop chop bowls? Confusing...I see pictures of the chop chop bowls with pita. Neither myself or my colleague (who ordered two chop chop bowls) received pita with our orders. Update: Went today for lunch again and had the cuban chop. You need to ask for the pita otherwise they do not include it. That's great. The only thing was the pita was not fresh. It was stale and cold, like had been in the fridge and it wouldn't open to make a pocket. I still love this place though. The food is hot and fresh and they are fast and the staff is super nice and the place is spotless clean!

Yelp
The people did not speak any English and they messed up the order We paid for two cesear salads and only got 1 because the cannot read English either DO NOT USE THIS RESTAURANT At least the delivery guy matthew was nice and tried for us. JB

Yelp
Big fan of Chicken Kitchen chain. Every one I've gone to offers 20% off on weekends with a receipt, but this one doesn't. It's also a bit more expensive than all the others. I wasnt sure if to give 3 or 5 stars, but the overall quality of the place isn't all that great.

Yelp
This place is ok. Location is good. Service can be better. Staff seemed friendly.Price is reasonable. I got a bowl with chicken.Portion was good.It did not taste good.It was bland and lacked flavor. Its a good place to quickly grab a bite if you are in hurry.

Yelp
This place is ok. Price is good but I didn't love the food. I got a bowl with chicken, rice, bens, and veggies. I didn't get excited about the rice and beans because it was missing flavor. It was just too simple. But, if you are in a hurry it is a good spot to grab some food to fill you up.

Yelp
This place is going down down down. Have been downtown since they opened, and see its demise. Tried to find the owner to send a message, but no luck, so sending here. You go in now, and you get no recognition, and get attitude when trying to tell someone your order (as if you are disturbing them). I go in about every other week, because I do like it, and it is convenient. Today was probably my last for a while. Ordered a simple quesadilla to be different. The order was rung up wrong, and got attitude when I pointed that out. Then, I saw the lady actually burn the item and it stuck to the paper, and she pulled off the burnt piece (top) and put the two good pieces on the bottom, and the put the other two upside down (without the burn side - I just ate with a fork as I was not ready for confrontation). Today was only me and one other person, and the pic is what the condiment bar looked like (again, the 3 employees just standing behind the counter giving the other gentleman attitude because he could not understand them for the restroom code-which they literally yelled at him at the end). The cleanliness is the part that is pushing me out (as well as others, I am sure).

Yelp
Estimated wait time for my order was one hour... has been an hour and fifteen minutes and still nothing. Gave them a call to see what the issue was and they left me on hold for 5-7 minutes just to tell me it went out for delivery but they have no idea how long it will take for my food to reach me.

Peter P.

Yelp
Friendliest staff in all of downtown Miami fast food joints. Told them I was a first timer, they made a great recommendation (ordered the bazooka). Food tasted excellent. The pita bread was a little cold/stale but that could be fixed if they just stuck it in the oven for 30 seconds. The environment is clean and friendly. Will definitely be going back!
