Chicken Salad Chick

I’ve lived in Houston for years and recently discovered chicken salad chick. All I can say is I’ve been missing out! I’ve tried three of their chicken salad flavors and they’ve all blown me away, each delicious in its own unique way. They offer your chicken salad in a tasty croissant which I recommend getting the melt version if you like warm sandwiches. Your meal includes a pickle spear and a little cookie as a dessert and you definitely get your moneys worth. I will continue to come to this delicious establishment!

I've been here a couple of times. Each time has been really pleasant. Food and service is always fast. It's a cute location and atmosphere. The last time I didn't feel like eating a sandwich & asked for a scoop of chicken salad instead & they were very generous with their crackers. Their crackers are actually quite delicious.

My first time here. It was quick, convenient and delicious. I loved the blt. There are so many flavor options. I got the Dixie Chick and Kickin' Kay Lynne. We will be back!

Basil lemon & fancy Nancy chicken salads were delicious

Ordered Kicken Kay Lynne chicken salad on a croissant with mac and cheese. The sandwich was delicious not that spicy. The mac and cheese was okay. Next time I’ll try a soup. The service was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. They let me sample a couple of their offerings. They offer the chicken salad and the pimentos as to go and grab items in two different sizes. Definitely will come back and try the other menu items.

Perfect for what it is. If you want some chicken salad in a simple sandwich or setting, this is your place. Staff was friendly, restaurant and bathrooms are clean. The whole group had no complaints. It’s solid and consistent for a pregnant wife that is hard to please and there are tons of options for the rest of the gang.

Food: It's miced chicken salads, but with a twist, flavor. You will still have to add seasoning. . . If that's your thing ;) Price: It's $7.99(s)-$12.99(l) Atmosphere: It has a lubys feel. Very old school, it's giving grandmother's house. Staff: Smiling but I did arrive at like 7pm (they close at 8) Also; they do have soup and salads

I was heading over to a friends house for lunch and didn't want to show up empty handed. Stopped in to pick up several (pre-packaged) quarts of chicken salad and brocolli salad. Very friendly, quick check-out. All their salads are very well made and quite tasty!

This place rocks the Chicken Salad category. They have a very subtle light flavor that I think really works well and shows their mastery of the item. I have also always been impressed with the service and love the fact that you can taste test the chicken salad mixes while you are choosing which to order for your meal. The restaurant is bright and clean; overall a great, casual lunch spot. Of the Chicken Salads, I would recommend going with the 'Traditional' flavors or the Fruity & Nutty. So far, those have been my favorites. The Sassy Scotty was a little too rich for my taste. Here are my favorites so far, ranked: 1. Classic Carol 2. Olivia's Old South 3. Cranberry Kelli 4. Sassy Scotty I always enjoy the dill pickle and shortbread cookie that comes with the meal. And have also liked some of their side options like the fact that you can add an extra scoop on the side, and the broccoli salad.

Chicken Salad Chick is the best concept! It reminds me of my mother's chicken salad which is the best in my opinion! If you're lucky enough to have a mother, a mother who cooked well, or anyone in your life who cooked for you with love, it is a special thing when you find a food that reminds you of someone you care for. I have been itching to visit this location on Weslayan since they opened (I believe it was in 2023). I entered the restaurant and placed the order for coworkers and myself (four meals total), paid, and went to their clean restrooms. By the time I was out, my order was ready in a few minutes. While I was tempted by the display of desserts, I resisted this time because I was looking forward to the sugar cookie that is served with each meal. I had the salad entree with dixie chicken salad (the one with onions) & poppy seed dressing. SO amazingly delicious!!! My colleagues also enjoyed their meals: chicken salad melts with bacon and loaded baked potato soup.

I've only gotten delivery from here, but oh my goodness! Each time it's better and better. My husband and I have tried several different flavors and just love how fresh and delicious everything is. I particularly love the Fruity Fran! So glad to learn one will be closer to home soon! The iced sugar cookie with the meal is a 'sweet' addition, too!

Cute theme and very clean restaurant. The cashier was super friendly and explained everything cause it was my first time. He recommended the flavor of chicken i got and it was pretty good. The sandwich was pretty decent idk it wasn't amazing but the soup was very good and so were the crackers somehow?? idk why or how but the crackers and cookie were the star of this meal. I really liked the soup too tho. Sandwich was the least exciting part but i will definitely be coming back. It was affordable at $10 for a good cohesive lunch.

Love coming to the spot. We usually get it delivered or pick it up to go. Today was our first time dining in and the staff was very kind and welcoming.

The classic chicken salad sandwich was delicious however the croissant was hard and dry for the afternoon. The tortilla soup was too salty for me. Great customer service at register the guy giving the food was offended I asked for a water cup ugh be grateful I came in. The restaurant was spotless with a nice atmosphere.

Yum! So many fun different kinds of chicken salad. Who knew. Wish we had one of these places where I live. The service was great. I got the most popular one. Wish I would have ordered a couple more to try. Cute restaurant. Service was nice. We got there 20 minutes before it closed and we were not rushed and they were all polite. We felt bad arriving so late so we ate quick so we could be out before they closed. The cookie they give you is amazing!

I love love love this place. I have eaten here multiple times. Everything I order has been delicious. You can't go wrong

Spoke to a Carlos who claimed to be a store manager at this location. I called the store before placing an order at this location to inquire about the door dash / uber eats tamper policy. They said that everything would be sealed when placing the order. This is my first and last time ordering from this place. Why? Of course it came to my home with the bag open and not sealed. I called the store back to let them know that I wont be eating the food since it was not sealed and was asking why they would lie! Had to explain to him the above scenario three times with him trying to place the blame on door dash and to get a refund from them. Ummmm you're the place packing the food! You're the ones lying to your customers. I wont be going back and worst birthday ever. Thanks chicken salad chick now I wont have cake on my birthday! Hope your business becomes a reflection of how you lie to your customers.....o and i recorded the conversation as he hung up on me.

I ordered my lunch using Lunchdrop. The croissant was hard, like it had been microwaved then it hardened. I tried to eat it but had to stop. Didn't taste fresh. Disappointing. They also forgot my chips.

Friendly service. Good parking. Large selection of chicken salads and pimiento cheese. Quick service and a very clean restaurant. Make sure you get an extra to go, which is packaged nicely. Even the soups are easy to take home. The potato is a favorite.

A cute lunch spot for delicious chicken salad. You can order a scoop or a sandwich for a meal with a side and pickle. I opted for the broccoli side with a fancy Nancy chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. I would say it was probably the smallest croissant sandwich I've ever had. The croissant itself was relatively small, and the amount of chicken salad they scooped was not that much, but the perfect amount for the sandwich itself. The broccoli salad was ok but it was on the sweet side. I would've opted it to be savory. Seems like there are already quite a bit of sweet options. I also ordered a few bags of chips but they didn't have the flavor I wanted. Kind of disappointing for a sandwich shop. Quick service, clean place and convenient location.

What a cool concept. Decided to try them for lunch one weekend as they just opened. I like the variety of egg and chicken salads. I opted for the originals of both this time. Will be back to try the more custom/fun varieties.

This was my first time here and I would like to say it was a very pleasant experience. And the food was fresh and delicious!

I just had to put in a review for this place. I've been here a few times over the last few weeks, and every time I've tried something new. They've let me sample different flavors each time, and always seem to have recommendations. It also always seems to be the same faces whenever I visit, which is nice to see, especially since they tend to remember me. I try to stay away from too many carbs and this place is perfect for that. The crackers they give with scoops really aren't that bad if you just have a sensitivity. And they do have celery instead that you can get. None of the sides are deep fried or greasy, and seems to be much fresher than similar places. Overall highly recommended.

I've never sat down inside to eat at this establishment, but I've ordered delivery and pick up at least 100 times. I love their chicken salad. The Barbie Q and Olivia's old south are my two favorites. Other members of the family love the original. I haven't met a bad chicken salad flavor at chicken salad chick. My only recommendation is to open a chicken salad chick in Montrose.

We all decided to see how many ways chicken salad can be made....12 according to the menu boards. I enjoyed the classic on a crescent roll that did not make the cut, I'm deducting a star for the stale crescent roll, the girls loved the Olivia's old south salad, with sweet pickles and eggs, I got a taste and it was very good. My wife got a cup of poblano soup and our d in law got the loaded baked tater soup, also 5 stars. I felll off the keto bandwagon with a rice krispy treat on steroids.....very tasty. All three meals also had a nice little frosted cookie and a pickle spear. We'll be back for more....like tomorrow.

The actual chicken salad sandwiches are adequate. Not good, but they taste ok. The sides are awful. The overwhelming taste in all of them is sugar, and in particular the bizarre sweet salad I got. I can't imagine enjoying that monstrosity. I know I'm not the target audience, so I'll leave the twee decor alone. In a place with such good food, this is a miss.

Friendly, cute new restaurant serving excellent Chicken Salad in a variety of flavors. You can also walk in and buy chicken salad from the refrigerator case and take it to go. Servers were very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. The sandwiches are a generous size, and chicken salad may be ordered on a BLT (which we will try next time.) Yummy pickle spear and scrumptious cookie come with the order. Highly recommended!

Fresh, delicious and filling! I got the jalapeño chicken salad on wheat with Mac & cheese and potato soup as sides and all tasted homemade! Mac & cheese reminded me of old school Lubys Cafeteria which is delicious. Also Carly at the front took our order and was so kind and helpful, and gave great suggestions! Will definitely be back!

The food is awesome and the customer service is top notch. They always greet you with a smile.

Came here for lunch recently and it's a great experience! Excellent service, delicious food and a great amount of food for your money. The owner is there often and is super sweet and you can tell she really cares about her businesses. I'll definitely be back!

Finally tried this place after my sister raves about it for years. Wow! I am soooo impressed with their chicken salads! I got the classic Carol and the jalapeño Holly. Both were just fantastic. I will definitely return to try their other flavors!

If you like chicken salad, Chicken Salad Chick is the place to go! From its menu, Chicken Salad chick has maybe 10 different kinds of chicken salad, and, because it was my first visit, I went with the simple, basic chicken salad (maybe called Carol's chicken salad) on wheat bread. The chicken salad was very good--not too moist or runny, a good balance. The meal came with a little iced cookie and a side--I had the broccoli salad and liked it, and the cookie was a nice treat too. I didn't realize the meal came with a cookie, so I ordered a rice krispie treat, which was made with chocolate rice krisipies--it was over-the-top sweet and very good, if you like sweets!

Just recently heard about this place, had to try it. Now I've eaten here 3x this week TRIED: Grape Salad (I would order this by the pound! Delicious!) Bacon and cheese Chicken salad (Salty / tons of Mayo. Not my fav. But wasn't terrible) Regular chicken salad with pickle (great) My FAVORITE the Chicken salad BLT w/ Cranberry & jalapeño!!!! This one is amazing. The bread is wonderful - I ordered toasted. I think they use a panini press or something because the bread is toasted perfectly but the texture is smooth not scratchy to your mouth. And lastly the Watermelon Ice Tea

Love this place! So many options to choose from. Easy to order from the app for pickup, and pleasant atmosphere for dining in. We average eating Chicken Salad Chick about 3 times a month. Service is quick with friendly staff.

Chicken salad chick is a place that I will always return to as it feels like home. All of the different types of chicken salad is so delicious! The Only thing that I would recommend is for people like me who need gluten-free bread that should be an option for bread. Other than that, I can't get enough of this place!

My mom has brought back dinner from here a few times and likes it. Tonight she was eating the chicken salad and found a PAPER CLIP in the chicken salad!! I don't know how a paper clip could get into food but my mom has said she will not be going back.

Finally tried out this place and I was impressed! I tried the sassy scotty and buffalo barclay. I'm already a fan of chicken salad so these were so good! I can't wait to try other kinds of chicken salad they offer.

Very nice place. Schae or whatever her name is is just a nasty person who seems to hold a grudge against everyone. Shame she's ruining this amazing place. Just love Chicken Salad Chick. Recommend this place highly.

Where have you been all my life? I frequented another place in Houston (initials F.C.) which provided food to the UT School of nursing cafeteria on Bertner & Holcombe a few years ago. I believed FC had the best chicken salad I ever tasted (white meat, creamy, amazing). Because FC is primarily a catering company for businesses, their restaurant on Main closes early. That said, I was on Uber eats searching for a NEW chicken salad in the hopes that somehow I'd run across another place that was just as good. Low and behold, I stumbled across 'chicken salad chick' with a 4.9 rating, which is unheard of on Uber eats and WOWWW!!!!!! THEIR CHICKEN SALAD IS BETTER THAN FC. I was overwhelmed and excited by the multiple chicken salad options and visited their website for the ingredients, since Uber eats did not provide a description, only the name of each salad. I settled on QUICK CHICK (a small side of Dixie Chick (onions only) which looked like 2 or 3 scoops, Classic Carol (onions, celery), and Buffalo Barclay (buffalo sauce). What I love most about this gem from heaven is that you can order ONLY chicken salad in a small or large comtaine OR a nice lunch. Because I was undecided and HANGRY, I ordered both. The prices are reasonable. I got the blt sandwich on croissant with dixie chick chicken salad (you choose the chicken salad option) and a bag of chips. I don't think I've ever had bacon on a chicken salad sandwich---amazing. They also gave me a cute complimentary shortbread cookie with icing that was so good. Thank you Food Gods for answering this foodie's prayers. Dear 'Chicken Salad Chick' PLEASE DON'T EVER CLOSE, change recipes, or take away my three new favorite chicken salads. My total was a little less than $25 but that's because I used UberEATS. If you visit in person I'm sure it'll be much cheaper. I have enough to last me another day or two. Congrats. You just got a regular customer!

Always a hit at this place. I'm never disappointed. Foods always fresh and nicely presented.

Although the food is just amazing. The employees at this location are out to get you. I experienced one of the employees tipping herself about $30 as my meal was roughly $29, which causing my meal to be $58 . I DID NOT put a tip as she just took my order but 3 days after I was there, my transaction amount updated and stated I spend more than I actually did. I am very disappointed and I will NOT be returning to this location.

The chicken salad is good but I will NOT be returning. I went on a Monday to order lunch. They charged my card a second time on Wednesday for the same amount. I absolutely was not there the second time and did not authorize the charge. Both transactions posted on my card. The first transaction purchase method was swiped. The second transaction purchase method was unknown. It seems someone manually entered in the second transaction. It could be a mistake or it could theft. I'm leaning towards theft due to the unknown purchase method and another reviewer having a similar experience. Pay with cash if you decide to go to avoid unauthorized charges on your card.

The selection of chicken salad is great. I ordered the Combo with a chicken salad sandwich, broccoli salad and their potato soup-- it was delicious. I will definitely be going back.

Great addition to the neighborhood, affordable, good food! Me, the kid and wife got 4 different varieties of chicken salad, and the traditional pimento cheese. All were good. The jalapeño will be my go to with the croissant, daughter enjoyed the fruit salad as well.

Excellent food, great service. So glad they are close by. I highly recommend the Jalapeño Holly.

This new place has the best chicken salad I've had in Houston lately. Environment clean and pleasant looking and smelling. I give it a five star at this time.

I'm soooo happy they are finally open. I was starving so I popped in and had a scoop of the classic and the lemon basil and a cup of the chicken poblano soup. All of it was delicious, including the watermelon iced tea! They even gave me a free slice of pumpkin cheesecake and a cute little shortbread buttercream cookie. I couldn't eat it all so I took half of it home. I'm looking forward to coming back often as I live around the corner. And their catering menu looks great!

We like the chicken salad choices here, and the sandwiches are excellent as well. My favorite is Cranberry and hubby likes Olivia's Southern (?) with boiled eggs. Service is quick and courteous. If the deli case is out of any chicken salad to go, they'll prepare a container while you wait. The app awards my frequent purchases and I have enough points for a to-go container of chicken salad. Smiles!
