I came and did a to go order… I had a lunch special… very good amount of food it came out to be $19 plus I left a tip. The fries are good and fresh, the sandwich is good and the service was good not expecting a 5 star dinning experience. Yes it’s on the pricey side but the food quality is better than any bodega or fast food joint! Definitely worth it!

Any time I order from this location it has been consistently fresh and tasty for me. Is it pricey? Sure but not by much and everything around here is. I rather eat this than McDonald's who are way more overpriced and not even freshly made like it is here. And when I compare to what I'm getting here vs the fast food options this is worthy of my patronage. Also the staff is genuinely friendly whenever I come.

From its modest origins as a food truck to its current brick and mortar, Chiddy's has carved a niche for itself that has been over done, but the difference is that Astoria/Sunnyside residents get to enjoy a decent Philly that isn't overpriced. The ambiance at Chiddy's is a warm and inviting atmosphere that is playful but not tacky decor. Whether one opts for a cozy dine-in experience or a quick takeaway, I'm sure you'll enjoy what they have to offer. Chiddy's truly shines with how each cheesesteak is meticulously crafted, merging the great ingredients with traditional techniques to produce a symphony of flavors that will make Gritty tackle someone. Despite their growth, they have managed to retain the essence of their humble beginnings. With that being said, Chiddy's understands that they aren't trying to reinvent the wheel. They take what they do seriously and that's something that needs to be appreciated. If you're craving a Philly cheese or any type of finger food drenched in cheese, pay a visit to Chiddy's. Also shout out to the staff working there, they were incredibly nice and made the experience more inviting.

It should be called Shitty and not Chiddy’s. was disappointed with my experience at Chiddy’s. Unfortunately, the sandwiches didn’t taste fresh, and I was concerned about their quality. I hope the restaurant takes a closer look at their ingredients and food preparation to ensure a better experience for customers.

3.5 stars. Chiddy’s Cheesesteaks started out as a food truck a decade ago and now has many locations throughout New York. I’ve only ever tried them in Citi Field, but they recently opened a new location in Astoria. I ordered the below: Beef and Cheddar Empanada, Cheesesteak Empanada and Banana Nutella Empanada (3 for $5). The dough was crispy, light and was perfectly fried. Not at all greasy. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed these. My favorite was the Cheesesteak Empanada which was sooo good! Followed closely by the Banana Nutella Empanada. The bananas were slightly too ripe, in my opinion, but the fried Nutella made up for it. It was very messy to eat but so delicious. Junior Chiddy’s Signature with just onions and cheddar ($12). It was a bit pricey for the Junior, which was 7 inches long, but it was also very filling. It had thinly sliced steak mixed with sauteed onions and a couple of slices of melted cheddar. The roll was soft and chewy and held up while eating. The meat with the cheddar was slightly too salty for me. I should probably have gotten the cheese wiz instead. Small order of Sweet Potato Fries ($7). Delicious and not too greasy. I usually like to dip sweet potato fries into ranch dressing, so I was really wishing it came with some dipping sauce. Alas, it did not. With a purchase of cheesesteak and any side, you get a free drink, and I got a can of sprite. Overall, I was very satisfied with the meal. I wasn’t wowed by the sandwich but really loved the empanadas. Will be back to try some other items on their menu. Best cheese steak I’ve ever had with the Signature. Great fries + mozz sticks + dessert empanadas as well. We also love the all day breakfast menu. Can’t beat it!

I got a Mac cheesesteak. It wasn’t bad but some bites were dry. Little more cheese sauce on the roll would’ve done the trick. The meat quality is fine. It just needed some additional salt pepper. Price wise it is expensive. I also paid for onions and mushrooms which I never got so it was disappointing.

Chiddys opened up recently, so I was expecting a more vibrant staff. Not that they were bad just seemed off for a new spot. Giving this place an optimistic 4 stars.. Food was very good from my experience, the 1/2 size was stacked the top, crispy chicken was delicious. Pictured is the Chipotle chicken option. Looks better in person. In terms of price... a little overpriced. Almost $15 for a 1/2 sandwhich, $8-10ish dollars for fries? I most likely wouldn't go back as it's both a novelty and priced high.

We got the classic sandwich, and the cowboy! Both loaded and really good! Definitely recommend

I first had Chiddy's when they were under a ghost kitchen in Sunnyside as a late night meal and I guess they were doing good since they they opened up their own storefront! I usually order their junior classic cheesesteak 7" for delivery when it's late at night and I need something protein packed / filling and it usually does the job... it's pretty quick, tasty and fresh! but today, I was so hungry and decided to order the "full" 10'' for the first time thinking it'd be packed I was so disappointed. I picked it up and couldn't wait till I got home - I opened the container, I took a bite, it felt like I was having mostly bread, cheese & "a dash of meat". I don't know if it was a bad day or if I should stick to the junior the next time? :(

Chiddy's is a great innovation regarding cheesesteaks in Astoria. Chiddy's, which took over the old Cuban restaurant last year, was recommended to me by a friend. We ordered the Pig in the Whiz and Falafel cheesesteaks, which were very good and filling. The restaurant is much smaller than the Cuban restaurant, which now has a facade of a cheese truck where you order. Would I be back? Maybe!?

Delivery from here was awesome. Signature sandwich, onion rings and buffalo tenders. So great!!

Pleasantly surprised! Sandwiches could be a little bigger but they are super flavorful, nonetheless!

The food was good for being new. The price may be a little high but it's worth every penny. Customer service was very good, very friendly people, ask you how your day is, if you need help with anything. The store is classy, it goes with the name cheesecake, all yellow but overall this store is very good. The chicks on ranch(15$) which is 10 inch, very good. You can make your own cheesesteak and add whatever you want also the fries stacked to the very top so when you get the fries you will be very happy with the portion. I will be coming back to this amazing place and you won't be disappointed.

this place just opened up very close to my house i was excited to try it the menu seem to fun like comfort food fun we ordered a variety of things $50 seemed excessive but worth it for me to try something new and fun close to the house i don't know if it was the time that i ordered was close to closing or what but they just decided to send me their most basic item which i am sure they have ready at all times a cheesesteak with nothing on it so meat on a bun that i did not order i waited a long time for this but that was more that i was waiting for the driver to pick it up but ultimately i waited more than a hour for a restaurant to give me something they wanted to give me rather than i ordered because it was late and when i called to try to correct this they told me oh i'm sorry we're cleaning up already i literally don't write reviews cuz i don't think people should care about my experience but this level of service is so heinous i don't know what to say thank you for opening on this quiet street, you can see from my review history i don't write many reviews but this one was just necessary to share welcome to the neighborhood thank you for wasting my time

I only had the classic cheesesteak, but it was delicious, had that Philly cheesesteak taste, and the service was friendly and quick. I was also able to customize more to my liking, which was clutch. Definitely a great and satisfying cheesesteak and worth returning again.
