"Eric Church takes self-glorification to a whole new level, as he covers nearly every square inch of this bar with his name. It feels like you’re stepping into a giant diner jukebox and the whole place is a vibe, particularly a loud one that’s stuck in 1985 Texas. Bands on the first floor tend to jam rather than play songs with distinct beginnings, middles, and ends. The second floor, when open, is built like Eric’s personal church, where the band is the preacher and the stadium seating is built to worship appropriately. A nice touch, however, is a booth by the front door that sells pulled pork sandwiches and burnt ends from Rodney Scott’s restaurant on the fifth floor. Stick to beer, canned cocktails, or hard seltzers, and don’t order wine. It comes in small plastic bottles and tastes like vinegar and tears." - Ann Walczak
"This live music bar and barbecue venue from musician Eric Church is offering up some of the best of what Nashville’s honky-tonk scene has to offer. On the food side, the fifth floor and rooftop restaurant (the uppermost level is perched atop the bar’s six-story building) pulls from Church’s Carolina roots, with a menu from lauded pitmaster Rodney Scott on offer. Rodney Scott’s Whole Hog Barbecue at Chief’s offers brunch, lunch, and dinner service, as well as a walk-up order window that operates in the morning and at night. Find dishes like pig skin nachos spiked with Alabama white sauce, sandwiches loaded with meats like prime brisket or pulled chicken, and the pitmaser’s signature whole hog plate." - Kellie Walton, Eater Staff

"A 45-seat, high-end sit-down cocktail bar tucked into a 123-year-old NoDa home, scheduled to open in early to mid-June. Intended to be more upscale and intimate than the group’s breezier South End concept, the bar will showcase meticulously prepared cocktails at a level compared to service found at the Ritz-Carlton, with Bob Peters heavily involved in creating the program and service experience." - Kayleigh Ruller
"Eric Church’s new six-story live music venue in historic downtown was designed with Church at the helm and will include Rodney Scott’s Whole Hog BBQ overlooking Broadway from the top two floors. The building houses 4,000 posters from Church’s career, will feature Scott’s rooftop concept “Hell of a Q,” and represents a multi-level entertainment and dining destination on Broadway." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones
