At CHIKO, enjoy a playful twist on modern Asian fare with a fast-casual vibe and a not-to-miss tasting bar that offers a front-row culinary experience.
"We’re obsessed with what Chiko calls their “orange-ish chicken” (actually, the whole city is), which comes topped with crispy garlic and candied mandarins. The tiny Chinese-Korean spot on Barracks Row (they also have a Dupont location) is our go-to for weeknight ordering, but their dishes are so flavorful and complex that it doubles as a move for impressing out-of-town houseguests. Chiko has counter seating inside, as well as a few tables with backless chairs, but we typically opt for ordering out. photo credit: Rey Lopez" - Madeline Weinfield
"Get ready for the Super Bowl with ChiKo’s wing and dumpling packages. Indulge in ChiKo buckets with soy glaze, Buffalo, blue cheese, and ranch. Choose from $50 (wings) and $50 (dumplings) packages, available for in buckets and catering pans. Its sibling spot, I Egg You, has a Super Bowl party package for pick-up until 5:30 p.m." - Vinciane Ngomsi
"If you’re meeting up with your friend of a friend after work and you find yourself in Dupont, Chiko is a great fast-casual option. Service is quick, and entrees average around $18. The popular Chinese and Korean fusion restaurant serves some seriously good food like their bulgogi stir fry which you can hover over while awkwardly avoiding eye contact. Since there’s an after-work dinner rush, the place can get pretty packed which is good because the momentum can help drive the conversation if things get slow." - Omnia Saed
"ChiKo’s double-fried party wings are back for this year’s Super Bowl, and they’re also adding bulgogi hoagies alongside a variety of pickles. Score 20 party wings with buffalo, soy, garlic and blue cheese sauce with two hoagies and pickled daikon and celery for $75. A smaller, $40 box yields 20 wings with all the same sauces. Pre-order by Friday at 2 p.m. for pick-up at all five locations after 4 p.m. on Sunday." - Vinciane Ngomsi
