Chilango PDX

My husband is the biggest hater when it comes to Vegan food especially vegan mexican food. A crime right? Not at Chilango at least. To my surprise on our way to a concert at the Moda Center he pulls up directions to Chilango. There is no menu at the time so we pull up their website and read the options. I don't know if you've been on their website but there is very little information about each dish. My husband orders Chicharrón and I order Tinga. When the food comes out we're both looking at each other like what is this. He tastes it and the first words were "This is definitely not chicharrón but it's delicious". We found a menu and we were both shocked to find out what we ordered. Call me a ditz or just straight up oblivious but until this moment we had no clue. He ate both of our plates and is already asking about when we can go back. Thank you Chilango for turning my husband accidentally vegan. No complaints.

100% Authentically Mexican and Vegan! As a Latina who is also Vegan, I’m so impressed by this place! I thought every dish tasted like a celebration of traditional Mexican cooking — but with a vegan twist. You should bring your non vegan friends here too for great Mexican food. I love how they use fresh ingredients and make everything from scratch. You can tell they care about both quality and authenticity. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. This my new favorite spot for a delicious meal. Highly recommend if you’re craving some real Mexican food that’s just happens to also be 100% plant-based!

best vegan mexican food in pdx i got sopes but just plain with beans and it was to DIE FOR!!! I also got the horchata and gave some to my non-vegan sister and she couldn't even tell it's vegan!!!

This place is what vegan dreams are made of. The food was phenomenal! So much flavor packed into their tacos! We loved every bite and their staff were super friendly! This is a most stop for vegans in Portland! Also, the horchata is amazing, super refreshing on a hot day!

Very hard to find vegan Mexican food in Denver! So coming to PDX and trying Chilango was a delight. The food was incredible and the owner has such genuine and magnetic energy!

The best vegan tacos I’ve had in Portland. The salsa was delicious and I ended up buying two bottles of their Salsa. Really loved the Tofu, Jackfruit and Mushroom tacos. Reasonably priced, great service and super friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this place for trying Tacos, and especially their Salsa!

Best vegan tacos in Portland.... And maybe the US too. We come here a few times every few weeks to catch our taco fix. The taco flavors and fillings are so amazing and inventive. My favorites are the pumpkin seed mole, jackfruit tinga, and hibiscus. Their blue corn quesadilla with extra filling is amazing too. Each item is like a good snack and pretty affordable. Don't miss out if you're in the Alberta neighborhood!

I am so glad that this place took over where the vegan bakery used to be. The menu items are very well thought out in the flavors mix well together. Everything is vegan and amazing. The staff is super friendly.
