Always managed to pass this place by, but not today, I went ahead and decided to order some of their wings and one of their Saam wraps (basically a burrito). Disestablishment is well kept and clean as can be especially with a lot of their stainless steel appliances. The folks there were really helpful behind the counter, especially when it came to trying to assist me in flavor combinations for my wrap and even offering some samples of certain sauces and proteins. Overall, the wings were fantastic, and I had a great savory / sweet flavor. It did have a hint of aftertaste in regards to Fritos like a corn type of thing. The rap was fantastic since it included a base of spinach with the same type of chicken and seasoning that was used on the wings, coupled with some crunchy carrots and some sauteed vegetables of bell peppers and onions. Then, I was topped off with a Verde ranch sauce with sesame seeds. Price wise, I did pay around 31.00, not including tip, and that was for a large wrap and 1 lb of Korean fried chicken wings. In all honesty the portion was fantastic for me in regards to the wings but to me I believe the wings are a bit too overpriced, but if you have the money and the taste buds this place is definitely for you or a special occasion. My overall rating 4.3 / 5. Also I should make sure to note that this place takes card only, they are a cashless business.

I had the #2 K’Pop Chicken Bowl, which was packed with an addictive crunch and bold, zesty flavors. It started with a base of white rice (you can choose brown if you prefer) topped with boneless Korean fried chicken, crisp green leaf lettuce, cabbage, melted cheese, fresh onion, and cilantro. The whole bowl was sprinkled with sesame seeds and finished with a drizzle of spicy ranch that gave it a fiery kick. I also had the Korean fried chicken wings! Super good!

Went to lunch here for the first time after hearing all the great comments about this place. I had their Chi'Lantro B'Bimbap Bowl and it was absolutely delicious!! The meat was cooked to perfection and well seasoned. The kimchi is delicious. Service was great. Thanks, Levi for checking on us while we were seated as well. I will definitely be back!

Google
This was our first time trying Chi’lantro and it was amazing! My boyfriend created his own bowl and I got the #1, both so good! Levi was so helpful when trying to decide and make the perfect bowl!

Google
I tried the pork bowl for around 15 bucks, and it was definitely worth the price. The portion size was generous, and the flavor was solid. However, the spice level was a bit of a letdown. Even though I went for the spiciest sauce, it wasn’t as hot as I’d hoped. Overall, the taste was enjoyable, and the portions were good for the price. I’d recommend this spot for lunch, and it’s definitely a better option than the poke place next door.

Google
Amazing place for a date. Amazing service as well. The prices are perfectly reasonable based on the sheer quantity of food they provide and the taste they deliver on. Tried the chilantro b’bimbap and that shi was bussin. The glaze on the freshly korean fried wings is outta this world.

Yelp
Yummy! Lots of good fresh food. Chris was friendly and attentive. Great customer service!!

Yelp
This location was awesome and Skylar was so helpful! She made the best bowl of any chilantro location we've been to!

Sean M.

Yelp
I ordered a SMALL WRAP. What I got was a small tortilla that was so full, it couldn't be closed, nevermind wrapped like it was SUPPOSED to be... and the contents were spilling out everywhere the literal moment I unwrapped it - check the pic. That's literally how they gave it to me. The woman who wrapped it right in front of me couldn't have had less shame. She truly did not care. Taste was alright. Tofu was actually pretty yummy. But presentation was god awful.

Chris W.

Yelp
Helen at Chi'Lantro provided amazing service! Super friendly and attentive, made sure everything was perfect. The food was delicious, and her recommendations were spot on. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Yum! It's been years since I've eaten at a Chilantro. Love the flavors and the quick convenience model of this place. Beautiful new space next to Madam Ma'am's. Staff was friendly and helpful. Obviously, if you want "real" Korean bbq, then head up north to Chinatown, or down to San Antonio. This is a quick place to grab some rice, meat, fried egg and kimchi. Comfort American-ized Korean food. In line with Chipotle and Panda Express.

Charli V.

Yelp
Sent my husband to get me some soy garlic chicken wings and this what what he returned with. Not photographed are regular fries. I couldn't help but laugh. I went back to look at the menu and this wasn't even on there. The items were good but the fact that there are no menu upon walking up to the counter really bothers me. I always get anxiety about other patrons waiting for me to make up my mind. This is probably why my husband didn't get the wings but these little chicken bites. A container of chicken, regular French fries, and a fountain drink was $15. The service was great and restaurant was clean. Probably won't be back though! Sorry chilantro.

Nancy S.

Yelp
Yum! I love all the options here, as well as the ability to customize your order. It was a bit overwhelming, so I ordered the salad with soy-glazed chicken. So many great veggies and lots of chicken. The dressing complimented it perfectly. The staff was very helpful. My granddaughter gets the kids bowl with chicken, rice and a freshly fried egg on top! It was a little warm inside so we sat at the patio tables. It was very nice! Will definitely be back (and this time, I will study the menu online first!).

Yelp
So, I'm trying to eat healthier so our group decided to try Chi'Lantro. It's a "build it yourself" Korean BBQesque place... set up kind of like a Freebirds or MOD Pizza set up where you choose a base, protein and toppings. I chose a spinach base then spicy pork and pretty much everything else I could add... black beans, 2 kinds of corn, carrots, sesame seeds.... Everything except cooked bell peppers (why would anyone want this taste killer). Perhaps the most interesting thing in the mix is the caramelized Kimchi. My server, Ethan, did a great job of explaining everything to me as I wasn't sure how the process went or what a few of the ingredients tasted like. He also recommended a finishing sauce that was a winner. It. Was. Delicious. Big enough that I saved half for lunch the next day. It was under $15.

Krystal D.

Yelp
Helen was great! very friendly and polite. food was great as well highly recommend the slaughter and Brodie location.

Stephanie W.

Yelp
Perhaps this just isn't my cup of tea kinda food cause chi'lantro is never my first choice. It doesn't taste bad to me, but I feel like every time I've had it it's been heavily salty in some parts and the flavor has just been a bit of a swing and a miss. The sauces don't quite compliment the food well enough so I don't use them much either. I do like the avocado/bean/rice combo but the meats I've always had with it just haven't been quite up to par. Overall the only time I eat chi'lantro is when we get it catered at work, but otherwise I wouldn't go looking for it. I think if you want Asian fusion there are just better options, and if you want actual Korean food there are DEFINITELY better options. But this is a fast food, no frills option if you really just want something vaguely resembling Asian fusion/don't mind fast food ambiance if you're eating inside.

James K.

Yelp
I had their chips & guac today for the first time and liked it. I've had their fries before, and those are solid as well (I would recommend getting the fries with a topping). I couldn't do one of their bowls every day, but it can be a good change up. Prices are reasonable and if you order in advance, the food is almost always done by the time you arrive so that you can skip the line.

Slavizza G.

Yelp
Staff was super nice and bilingual! Place was clean , food was in point as always , perfect for a balanced meal

Taryn R.

Yelp
I love going to this Chilantro! They are always quick and efficient with my orders, and always very friendly and helpful when I go in! The store is always clean and food always looks fresh-- keep it up Chilantro Brodie! You gained a regular here!

Arlene N.

Yelp
This was my first time to eat here. Skylar provided great recommendations and service. We will be back!

Ryan T.

Yelp
Skylar was super nice and the food was great as per tradition. I'll keep coming here!

Karen V.

Yelp
Tatiana and her coworkers were soo attentive and sweet!! They made me have the first best experience at chilantro!!!!

Nayelly V.

Yelp
Tatiana was very helpful & gave us recommendations to ensure we had a yummy experience!

Mark S.

Yelp
The options for each of the bowls are extensive, so customizing them is easy too do. The Kimchi Fries are the BEST I've had! Add an order of wings and you have an excellent meal! Staff members are friendly and helpful, and the bright, open environment makes this a welcoming place to enjoy good food and a book.

Annette N.

Yelp
Just try it. Go for it. It's the Korean version of Chipotle and I'm their biggest fan each week. Their K-Pop chicken bowl gets me every time... literally. They have awesome variations of bowls you can choose from, or make your own. Your meal is done with fast service. Fast and easy lunch/ dinner option to your day! Bravo. See you VERY soon!

Dan C.

Yelp
So much about this place is inviting in terms of aesthetic and concept (that draws obvious notes from Chipotle) -- food is decent but doesn't live up to its subtitle of being "Korean BBQ Inspired". That idea could and should work, but it doesn't... in too many ways, starting with the most key of them all, the flavors of the Korean BBQ. Still, credit for being clean, bright, and relatively straight forward in the preparations. The wings are pretty good. The b'bimbop bowl is an un-cohesive assembly of ingredients that neither wows nor disappoints. Overall, would be more fitting if it portrayed itself as any less specific category of better-than-fast-food but still fast casual American... good enough for a otherwise boring dinner after work.

Ryleigh J.

Yelp
Helen was so nice! Love this place. Very fast and everyone was energetic. Highly recommend.

Texas H.

Yelp
Helen was great, and service was fast. I would recommend this place. Close to bodies lane.

Yelp
very chill staff, good serving portions, really nice authentic Korean taste. the atmosphere was pretty nice i could eat my food in peace. There is a good amount of parking around so it's pretty accessible and easy to locate if you're looking for a spot around Brodie. Loved the burrito and Kimchi fries

Charlee G.

Yelp
Service was great, make it quick and easy to get our food. Will definitely becoming back.

J I.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place but it shouldn't be referenced as a Korean fusion restaurant. It's nothing close to Asian anything & I think a true Korean place would at least have kalbi or bulgogi on the menu as a protein choice. My bowl was mediocre but service was nice & restaurant was clean.

Maddy J.

Yelp
The employees are amazing and so helpful. Will return with my card in hand this time lol. The food is amazing as well.

Jervia B.

Yelp
I loved the kimchi fries! Add chicken or pork or beef for a complete (big) meal. My companion had a bowl with chicken--also delicious!

James J.

Yelp
Avoid this place. You're better off eating Taco Bell next door. The amount of disappointment from my workers when we opened the bag. They give you more tortilla than ingredients. No flavor, all the meats are drier than the Texas weather.

Med F.

Yelp
Other than the wings which were good, the two bowls were absolutely inedible. They unfortunately ended up in the trash along with $44. Avoid avoid avoid..they call it Korean but it has nothing to do with Korean food. It's a Chipotle knockoff and not even close in taste!

Lauren S.

Yelp
Just ok, not great. My biggest critique is that you stand in a chipotle style line that takes way longer, and then you pay double the price. Lunch for just my husband and myself was $50!!!! Also the food is mediocre at best and seating is SUPER limited at this location. I witnessed a couple parties have to take their food to go and were quite upset about it. I overheard one lady say "this is ridiculous." She's right it is! For the price you would think you at least have a place to sit and eat.

Jeremy W.

Yelp
Ordered a jap chae bowl with spicy chicken with caramelized kimchi and carrots. They were out of the "magic sauce" which is what I read was so amazing on reviews. I ended up with spicy ranch with is t What the employee said was most asked for. I should have turned there when he said we don't except cash. I usually do. But ran my card and got my soon found inedible $17 cashless bowl. Never again c Would I come here I wish I could put -5 honestly. Nothing about this place is Korean anything. The kimchi is a sorry excuse. Protein is dry as it was over cooked and held. Flat top grill covered in burnt debris. 9 people on staff with 5 guest and your weeded. Go to a real kitchen line. Lmao

Sam L.

Yelp
This place sucks. Before you eat here, before you order LOOK AT THE MEATS ON DISPLAY. No one would want to eat this stuff. It's a cross between indifferent fast food and a lukewarm, overcooked buffet And they don't take cash money. CAVEAT EMPTOR.

Natalie L.

Yelp
I'm honestly pretty shocked by these reviews! I've only been here a couple times and it was delicious! Flavorful and healthy. I really like the noodles, they're made from a sweet potato starch I believe. It can definitely be pricy especially if you get add-ons but honestly it's worth it to me. Definitely more expensive than Chipotle but it's really good. I love the soy-glazed chicken!

Lisa C.

Yelp
I used to love chi'lantro when it was a food truck and I'd go to it after a night of drinking. But I can't stand it now. It's sooooo sickly sweet and tastes nothing like Korean inspired food, or Korean fusion. I used to order the spicy pork to cut down on the sweetness but it doesn't seem to make a difference now. Everything is just sweet and gross. So sad to see such a great place turn to poop.

Korey P.

Yelp
Like Chi'Lantro, but avoid this location. Been twice and both times left very disappointed. The first time we ordered online. The ordering system said they were out of beef, when I arrived the had beef. It then took 30 minutes past my selected pickup time to get my food. This time, I decided to order (to-go) in person because of my last experience. Got there 30 minutes before closing, and they were already deep cleaning the griddle and out of almost all the proteins and noodles, which is what we wanted. There was only one person in front of me, but took 20 minutes to make two bowls and an order of fries with the precooked ingredients because they refused to make anything new. Doubt we will be back to this location anytime soon. I would recommend you avoid them.

the Chas M.

Yelp
Great food and service. Wonderful ambiance for a family and the variety of menu options will keep us coming back.

Vindhya G.

Yelp
Their kimchi fries with steak were amazingly flavorful and the staff was great. Love their Agua frescas as well. Happy to see another Austin restaurant come to us in South Austin.

Amy O.

Yelp
I love Chilantro as a chain and we were super excited one opened closer to home. Their wings are sooo good but at this location the cook on them are hit or miss so you don't know if it's going to be a great day or just ok.

Adrea P.

Yelp
I'm excited to have another food option in our neighborhood! Props to the sweet staff for doing a great job and to management for doing proper training. Good food, too - like a Korean-inspired Chipotle!

Natalie C.

Yelp
I've always had a great experience here! I love that they assemble your bowl in front of you. Food has always been fresh and delicious, maybe even better then the South Lamar location. Also some of the most friendly staff I've ever experienced at a restaurant!

Sandra P.

Yelp
Oh boy, this location is is just not doing it. Used to eat at the location on the eastside and it's just not the same. Order was wrong, bland and skimpy. Don't see this place lasting if quality doesn't go up.

Zach R.

Yelp
You really can't go wrong with anything you get here. We got a bowl, burrito and the kimchi fries and all were delicious. Our one complaint was that the water out of the soda fountain wasn't great tasting.

Alexia F.

Yelp
it was good I just got really bad diarrhea it made my butthole burn all day but my boyfriend loved it

Marissa R.

Yelp
Ordered for curbside and when I call my call was forwarded to voicemail, I have two dogs with me and did not want to leave them in the car. I had to run in because no one answered my call and all of the employees are gathered around looking at each other's phone doing nothing. Yikes. Do better if you're going to offer curbside service.

Ethan M.

Yelp
Wow, super helpful staff, and the bowl was incredibly delicious. The steak, equites (aka elote), and magic sauce are especially yummy.
