Wow! I love this place! I've been missing japchae noodles, but found them here. Everything was hot and delicious! I had Create your own bowl, small. They have Step-by-Step choices to build your own. The best part is the whole lunch was very reasonably priced! I ended up taking a lunch to my daughter at work! I will try bibimbop next time! If this review was helpful, please give it a ❤️ or 🙏

This is my wife, and I fourth or fifth time at this exact chilantro, and every time we are just blown away by the great service, and the great food this place has. You can tell everybody that works. Here is extremely happy. They love their job. They're teaching each other. They're patient with each other. They have great service with every single customer. Highly recommend this place, and the food is great.

A great alternative to other fast food. Unique tastes if you want them and more traditional tastes if that's your preference. The kimchi fries are awesome!

One of Austin’s best restaurants! Such good food, and makes me feel happy when I eat here. Like a treat! All of the locations except this one are ludicrously busy, so it is wonderful that this new location is not only closer to my home but also more reasonable since there is rarely a wait unlike the other locations.

Absolutely love Chi’Lantro and absolutely love that this one opened off of 620 not far from Cedar Park. Of the growing number of establishments offering various quick service bowls, Chi’Lantro is among the best. I would recommend the steak B’bimbap. The meat is super flavorful. The pork Japchae con queso was also delicious and the queso is legit. We ordered the famous kimchi fries and they were a little too spicy for my taste but still really good. Clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Fantastic lunch. Cheers, Chi’Lantro!

The original kimchi fries is a must try. The tofu noodle bowl is super nice. Peach basil lemonade on the side is a perfect thirst quencher!

I’ve tried they location twice in the past couple of weeks and it’s a no go for me. 1. why have someone who can’t communicate in English taking the orders at the counter? This lady clearly had no clue what I was trying to order both times. 2. Both time I asked for a little sauce and she drowned my food making it inedible.

The staff is always friendly and never messes up my order. Crispy chicken and crunchy veggies, so yummy!

My gosh, I was so hungry, and I knew that Chi'Lantro would 1. Full me up. And 2. Be satisfying throughout my 3 hour class. I decided on the carnitas bowl. The employee greeted me promptly. He was very polite with the southern "what can I get you ma'am" he started my bowl, and passed it down to the next section where a women continued to complete my bowl toppings. She asked if I would like a sample of their dumpling. And I said yes, I would love that. After paying for my bowl, I found a seat and dove right in. The toppings are all fresh and crisp. Everything had its own bountiful flavor. I did get the sauce on the side. Which I later added after I ate about half the bowl. The sauce was such a nice flavor enhancer. I did like the dumpling sample she gave me. It was crisp on the outside and delicious on the inside. Not over cooked to mush. Was really a nice well made dumpling. The restaurant is clean. Tables are kept up. The self serve soda machine is clean. Outside seating is nice. It's out on the sidewalk, and out by the parking lot. It's a bit chilly today to eat outside . So inside it was. Parking lot, is a small shopping center, you should find it easy to park. Spaces are a little tight, but it's not bad. Had a great meal, great service, I will come back again!

Quick, affordable, fresh, and healthy (if you want it); all the pieces of a solid weekday meal. While it's not the height of culinary achievements nor particularly memorable, I've never walked out feeling disappointed. The jap chae noodles, kimchi, and fried tofu are absolutely clutch, no matter what else you get. Don't miss the new-ish dumplings too, which are fully fried and crispy, with a satisfying veggie filling. The dipping sauce is mostly vinegar and not great, but thankfully, they don't even need it.

We walked in and were immediately greeted with smiles and warm feelings. The gentleman making our food was so happy we walked in. My wife is pregnant and has been craving this place. They took great care of us. Right off of 620, you do not need to travel far off the road to eat here. The place was very clean. Restrooms were clean, everything wiped down, and great music playing to enjoy your time here. I believe this location is way better than the South Austin location. Thi location has more room, and the vibe seems way happier. Way cleaner and overall better experience. This is one of my wife's favorite places. And when you have guys with smiles, it just makes you want to come back.

It was my first time visiting this chain. Didn't know what to expect. I was very disappointed. The food was not great and the meet was not fully cooked. I hope I don't get sick.

I'm so glad a Chi'lantro recently opened up by my house. I ordered the B'Bimbap rice bowl and kimchi fries. We ordered both with all the ingredients, but if you're not into spicy foods, I recommend skipping out on some of the sauces and picking your protein wisely. Their drink fountain is also fun too with different flavors. I ended up getting the agave cream soda, which is always delicious. The employees were all so kind and trainings new employees at the same time. Everyone was seriously hustling during the dinner rush. There is not a lot of seating inside this location, but we didn't have to fight for a table. There were a ton of takeout orders being picked up while we were there and they make it easy with a pickup shelf right next to the door. Every time someone walked in for a pickup, it was already ready to go.

Who has 2 thumbs and too many errands after work? This mom. That's why I was delighted to discover this newest Chi'Lantro location just a few blocks down the road from my teen's swim team center (Waterloo Lakeline). Rather than make another regrettable greasy drive-thru dinner stop, I can easily order "fast casual" takeout meals for the family through the Chi'Lantro smartphone app while I watch my son's workout, then pick up our tasty Korean BBQ-inspired dinner on our way home. My go-to meal here is a bowl with tons of greens, veggies & kimchi with a spicy protein over the japchae (GF) noodles. It's usually enough food to make 2 meals for me, and it's great hot for dinner, then cold for lunch the next day. My picky eater son will take the kids' quesadillas and we'll share an order of queso fries. If hubby is along, the fries get upgraded to spicy beef/chicken/or pork fries - so gooooood! Can you believe we now have 10 Chi'lantros in the Austin area? So proud of these guys for their success after their early days in 2010 as a single food truck. We were meaning to go to another restaurant when we saw that Chilantro was still open. We decided to try something different and it seemed like a good option. The place is clean and very well lighted. All the time, there was someone cleaning the kitchen. The food was very good. Very flavorful and the portions were big. The only thing is that the food could be a little warmer, but overall it is a very good option.

When you are craving beef bulgogi and crispy french fries (which I seem to oddly crave way to often), there is only one place to go. Before this location opened, it was a bit of a pain to get Chi'lantro so it seemed to only happen if I was out and about. But now, they are 4 minutes from my house. This is going to be dangerous. I've been a fan of the kimchi fries since I moved to Austin over 8 years ago, and they still seem to impress me. The portion is huge, and they don't skimp out on the protein. If you are craving something else, I can definitely recommend the queso. It was the perfect constancy and packed with flavor. All in all, the service was fast and the food was great. It was a bit loud in there so it was definitely hard to hear the people behind the counter but this was also opening weekend so it may have changed since then.

SO SO good. I attended the soft opening this weekend and inhaled all the kimchi fries and bowls and they were just as good as I recall being introduced to them years ago when I graduated from UT and enjoyed kimchi fries after a night downtown with their food truck origins. Enter my now adult self, living in our home in the suburbs of northwest Austin, and a parent to a toddler entering their fine brick and mortar establishments, surreal to see Jae's vision and success of a fully grown success of delicious noms! With Chilantros opening right across from us, I plan on enjoying bowls that are quickly made fresh, assembly line style, and there are a ton of different options for all dietary preferences which makes this a great choice for all meals! The staff who welcomed us were all extremely pleasant and accommodating to our needs, and I really love the drink selections presented. We can't wait to be back and support them all day, everyday!

We arrived early at Interstellar BBQ hoping to beat the line but alas with afternoon meetings we could not stand in line for an hour, with hope that they would not call "86 the Brisket". My bud did a quick Yelp search and said Chi'Lantro BBQ is nearby. So we opted for Korean BBQ over Tex BBQ. I've never been here before but my coworker said it's good fresh food. My first impression if you like Chiplote you will like Chi'Lantro. My spicy pork bowl was absolutely delicious. Portions were more than adequate and I was only able to plow through two-thirds of the bowl. Is Chi'lantro better than the offerings at the food court in H Mart, no? But it is a great option for quick fulfilling lunch. Pro tip: If you are like me and like something sweet after spicy food Dairy Queen is right next door. Pro tip 2: Cashless CC only to pay.

Twas a cold and cloudy night and all I yearned for was chilantro. Luckily, we happened upon their 620 location. We had the spicy pork curated bowl and an order of kim chi fries with spicy chicken. Both were delicious but we both gave a slight edge to the flavor in the pork as it was great. They made a great combo with the heavy carbed fries and then the bowl with some greens, kim chi and queso. I think it might have been my first time having queso with Asian flavors. We both had plenty and even had some of the bowl left to take home. Overall, a fantastic experience with my only small suggestion being that I wish the bowl were mixed for us or served in a bigger vessel so we could mix it ourselves.

Happy to discover this place. The workers were A+. Attentive, patient, informative, and kind. And they did not short us on the food! As for the food...delicious! I'm so happy to discover this place. The owner, after I researched his story, seems like a great guy too. I'll be happy to add this to the list of establishments I frequent. Also their lemonades are good...unique to your typical lemonade tastes...but good!

Best Burritos in town. Starting to prefer these to the Mexican burritos. Awesome that they now have a location in this area. Love the ingredients they have available. Whether you are in the mood for bowl or burrito you will love veggie and meat options that they have available. This stuff is good. Service is great.

The food never misses. Consistent and delicious. My wife and I eat here nearly weekly. Tons of healthy options if you are into that. The food is awesome. Great service! The guys working there are very kind and helpful. I recommend this place to everyone I know looking for a quick bite.

I ordered the kimchi fries. This is exactly how it came. When I opened the box sauces flew out it was a mess but that wasn't the worst part. I had only about 10 fries and the rest was tortilla chips, they skimp on the beef which is now a $4 up charge. I spent 15 dollars for no fries and no meat. This was my first time at this location and they did not impress. I recommend not ordering a pick up order because it's always hit or miss. I have ordered this before at many other locations and it has never looked like this and it's usually filled with fries. I'm getting a refund because this was just ridiculous.

Jesus! and excuse me for invoking his name in vain. But daaamn, those kimchi fries with Korean bbq beef are like crack. Ok, I never tried crack, but I think it tastes like kimchi fries from Chilantro. Hallelujah

What a great little location!! I have been to the original ChiLantro location twice with my grand children but they have really expanded and there is even one out in the Cedar Park area now .....which is close to where I live. I was lucky enough to be chosen for this elite event, and went into try one of their new bowls. Well -I chose the Umma's (Mom's) Salad $9.97 Your choice of Korean BBQ, green leaf lettuce mix, spinach, avocado, red cabbage, carrots, kimchi, cilantro, onion, pickled veggies, sesame seeds, & carrot ginger dressing. You can also add a fried egg which I forgot to do and the only thing I changed was no cilantro. I had the steak for my protein it was a little dry, but still very tasty. I enjoyed the salad tremendously. The ginger carrot dressing was perfect. My dining partner ordered the Signature Large Ssäm $9.87 Flour tortilla, your choice of base, black beans, cheddar + Monterey jack, onions, lettuce mix, cilantro, lime juice, magic sauce, sesame seeds. Also, meant to add a fried egg, but forgot. He had the Korean BBQ Steak for his protein. He nixed the onions, lime, juice, magic sauce, and sesame seeds. The meat was not spicy I promise you however he thought it was a tad spicy... you know everybody has their own opinion. It was very good, and the Ssäm was very unique. Definitely plenty big for a meal or possibly even TWO depending on your appetite. We had to try the chicken wings so we also ordered a half a dozen of those, sauce on the side. Wow, I think I could've eaten a couple dozen. They were just that good!! Thank you so much, Chi'lantro for a tasty and delicious meal!

Easily one of my new favorites. Lived in Austin all my life and this immediately took the cake. Clean place, great food and options, very Austin-ey. Cool place for tourists or those out of town.

I was quite hungry when I came in but this place was so bad I could only take 4 bites before throwing it away. Ordered steak bibimbap. Beef had no seasoning whatsoever; just tasted burnt. Nothing else in the bowl had any flavor; requires their sauce to impart even a modicum of flavor. However, they didn't put enough in; just a drizzle. Either the person making my bowl has no handle of how Korean food should taste or they're pinching pennies. Might be a bit of both, honestly because the portion are tiny for what they charge. My wife ordered the k pop chicken bowl. The chicken was stone cold and tasted more like panda express than Korean fried chicken. I'm not sure if it's this location or chilantro in general but this is a far cry of what it used to be. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. H-Mart food court is just down the street. Any of those will put this place to shame.

Delicious umma salad is my favorite. Started as a food truck and now they are a restaurant now. Fresh foods that are full of spices.

Always love coming here. Service is always great, the serving size is massive and is great for next day leftovers. Kimchi fries are absolutely delicious.

Ok so the steak is really good, 5 stars worthy. The reason overall is a 3 is because the options are so little here... i feel they are lacking on essential korean veggies. They offer kim chi, carrots, corn, spinach... but no radishes, no cucumbers, no jalapeños, no sprouts, mushrooms etc. I just felt like what are the options, my bowl was pretty sparse. but they did have shredded mexican cheese and black beans like what... Healthy enough but i want my veggies for the price and for a better experience.. Idk 3/5 is what i think is deserved..

Wish I had photos to share... food was too good, I gobbled it up. I had a bimbpap bowl with the steak and a fried egg. First time trying this chain and wow so good! Great service too. Now if only they had more locations closer to me.

Their kimchi fries were ok/so-so but the wings left a lot to be desired. It was just fried wings with sauce basically and not crispy. They are newly opened location so may be just need time to perfect their menu? Overall satisfied with flavors, can use some improvement with texture of the korean wings.

I like Korean BBQ and Mexican food, but you can easily find better Mexican food and better Korean food for the price than this place. I really didn't think it was very good or special. Service was a bit impatient with me even though there was maybe one other customer present in the whole place. Everything tasted fresh but just not that great.

Food and service were excellent. Staff was so kind. Food was delicious. They serve Whole Foods with great flavor. It was fairly late but they swerved our group of eight without hesitation. The establishment was very neat and clean and I appreciate that as a mom whose kids are always touching everything.

SOOO good! Love the curated bowl from this Chi'Lantro location in NW Austin. Absolutely delicious and loved every bite. Highly recommend the beef as protein. The ambience is clean and festive. Great for friends or family!

I was so excited this place was coming and 1 min away from me. I love this place. Was a little disappointed because I ordered a queso and got home and it was literally half way filled. I paid full price for half a container. Not half container price queso but a large queso. Other than that it was great. I'll be back!

Glad to have a Chi'Lantro BBQ close to home! I got the Bowl with the Korean BBQ Steak over noodles. Warm and cold Kimchi are my favorite toppings.

Food is fresh and relatively healthy. Good option for V/GF. Really nice to see people with melanin behind the counter.

So excited to finally try this Korean BBQ! They started by saying they were out of rice, noodles, and most protein. Someone said they could have... something in 11 minutes. I said great- I can wait 11 minutes! Then we proceeded to order the kimchee fries which they DID have! They did not have the wings for my son so we ordered a chicken bowl, then they just continued the 4 bowl entree orders w/ brown rice instead of white & we told them to make 2 bowls how they'd order them since they didn't have what we wanted. No biggie. I believe they said something about pork... to be fair they offered a discount since they had decided not to make enough food to last till closing because there was a 5 minute rain storm tonight. I think we would have been happy w/ the food if we'd actually gotten home w/ the kimchi fries- the one thing they supposedly had in stock. No such luck. Seriously?? Plus my entree had one 2 inch piece of brown meat that I could find and some very hard inedible rice so was mostly trashed. I believe everyone's rice was crunchy/hard & there was very little meat so I can't say what was or if it was good. Nothing tasted bad, specifically, but I can't say I'd rush to return.

Delicious. I've loved everything I've had but I recommend the spicy pork for the fries and the beef or chicken for the bowls and wrap. Great stuff!

We showed up at this location about 15-20mins before closing and still had an amazing experience! Jay one of the team members, greeted us with a smile, was super friendly and very accommodating! I didn't know about the wings being $20 however, with them being delicious and prepared by people with great attitudes/energy. Totally worth the $20

former fans of other locations, we were excited to give this new, closer location a try. food & feel here are indeed brighter, fresher, less heavy/greasy feeling - like it used to be elsewhere. hope it continues this way ... environment, cleanliness, service, staff & manager Elizabeth are all super; a top notch location, we'll be semi-regulars!
