All-you-can-eat Mexican comfort food such as enchiladas and tacos, plus margaritas, and a patio.
"5 Rabanitos in Pilsen is one of Chicago’s best Mexican restaurants. So when we found out that they were opening a new spot in McKinley Park, we were excited. And it turns out that we were right to be because Chile Toreado is just as good as it’s predecessor. The menu is similar, with a selection of tacos, entrees (like enchiladas topped with a rich mole), and an incredibly spicy ahogada torta. But there are some differences, like a roasted vegetable tlatlaya that stays magically crispy till the end of time. The space is brightly colored and casual, and exactly where we want to be eating delicious Mexican food." - Adrian Kane
"Chile Toreado serves up a smaller menu than its older sibling, 5 Rabanitos in Pilsen, but if it’s vegetarian options you’re after, this is the place for enchiladas, sopes, and tlayuda. The tequila menu is also extensive, and there’s a nice little patio on 35th Street where you can sit and observe neighborhood goings-on." - aimee.levitt
"New spot offering crepes, al pastor, and vegetarian Oaxacan tlayudas along with a full bar." - Naomi Waxman
