Chill Since '93 Review - Beverly Grove - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Despite sounding like an unlistenable podcast your old college roommate started, Chill Since 93 is a solid, London-based pizza spot and one of the few hidden treasures inside the capitalist hellscape that is The Grove. The order-at-the-counter shop is located at the end of a quiet alleyway, which means half the tourists don’t know it exists. That’s a good thing. There’s a big patio with tons of open seating—ideal for taking a breather and eating some semi-thick, Roman-style pizza. We like the heat from the spicy soppressata, but if you get one slice, make it the patate. It arrives topped with gooey mozzarella cheese half-absorbed into the crust and a thick layer of sliced potatoes with charred, mountainous peaks." - Brant Cox

This is really cool small, cozy place where you can try really delicious Italian pizza. Not expensive at all, and I had added prosciutto for £2 and guys added that much as I would never buy in the market for £2. I’ll recommend to eat there

This place is the absolute definition of “don’t knock it till you try it” It’s important to note that the place is a new business completely and is not a reopening of the last place- I enjoyed my experience here because it is not typical pizza it is something fresh and new. The spicy salami pizza is delicious with a subtle hint of hot honey and the chocolate chip cookie I got was as big as my face. It is very good value for money as it may look small but it is actually very filling. There is a generous variety of drinks and desserts as well as focaccia sandwiches (which are huge by the way). The staff is also very friendly and attentive and clearly enjoy working at the place which adds to the lighthearted and chill environment. The waitresses are conversational and clearly very caring and the pizza chefs are hardworking and efficient. I will 100% be coming back here.

The pizza was delicious… I had the salami and thoroughly enjoyed it but what left a bad taste in my mouth was the service. The young woman didn’t say hello when we walked in, didn’t tell us how anything worked (ie. to order at the counter) she was just so rude. Like she went out of her way to ignore us and did not want to be there. So much so that I don’t know if I would go back, which is a shame… because the pizza was good.

Opened fairly recently and always seems quite busy so we gave it a first visit. Will be back! We like their thin crust style of pizza and the topping to base ratio is good. Service was friendly and ambience enjoyable.

Great service. Lovely tasty sandwiches. Traditional Italian. The mortadella with burrata and pistachio is a triumph. Decent price. Well worth the money. Best Italian sandwich via Yorkshire, curtesy of Ben. Definitely be back with a bottle of Hendo’s in tow. Great conversation from staff. A sandwich place with character
