"On the weekends, you’ll find this Vietnamese coffee and pastry spot inside Sandwich Hag, an eclectic bánh mìi shop in the Cedars neighborhood. The cafe window opens at 9am, which is when you’ll want to be there, in line, for the first crack at donuts from Frisco's beloved Detour Doughnuts and an iced or hot cà phê. Go for the pastries, and stay for the warm, welcoming vibes and the lunch menu from chef Reye Duong, which starts at noon." - Tiffany Yannetta

OMG! The coffee is AMAZING! Super friendly staff, and fantastic food. I got the Coconut Vietnamese Ca Phe. He got the Banh Mi Bagel.

Really cool little coffee shop that also sells food. I got the vietnamese egg coffee, but others got Ramen and said it was very good. Has a parking lot in the back so that's a great bonus. They also have outdoor sitting that's cozy and books for you to read if you want.

Found this little gem while in town visiting family! Came back to get work done throughout the week! For coffee, I got the cedars saigon, the coconut ca phe, and the classic ca phe. The selected sweets were also delightful! We had a light pandan chiffon cake with a coconut cream as a snack. Nice place to work; friendly staff! Very clean :) reminds me of the motherland (Vietnam).

The owner Reye took our order and was helpful answering any questions and suggested the strawberry rice krispie (delectable). We ordered the Cedars Saigon that has pandan foam on top and the Coconut Dalat. Both delicious and you can tell it’s made with quality coffee beans. I loved the space, they have a library against the wall to enjoy while enjoying your ca phe

I have been visiting chimlanh coffee shop since it shared the space with Sandwich Hag, and it’s always been great. But this morning I was able to try a new bagel breakfast sandwich, and it was absolutely perfect. Historically, they have mostly had savory breakfast options with cheese pre-added (not allergic, just don’t like) so I typically left with a sugar heavy stomach or just a cup of coffee. If this new bagel sandwich sticks around, I’ll be coming for breakfast a lot more often!

I finally was able to make it over here to visit with the amazing staff and grab me some delicious coffee! This place should be able to allow more than 5 stars cause they are the Michael Jordan of Coffee Shops! Can’t wait to get over and try the breakfast Ramen! I’ll make sure to get pictures my next trip (this week)

One of my favorite places for coffee/cà phê in Dallas! Sang and Chef Reyna were both so friendly and welcoming when I visited this morning. The food and drinks are 10/10, the playlist is always on point, and they even have games and a library if you want to stick around for a while.

Yelp
Have you ever gone somewhere and felt at home? I don't mean that the place smelled like your grandparents' house or that they made a dish that your parents made growing up; I mean a place where you are so warmly welcomed as if you live there, where you are so comfortable having conversation and relaxing, and where you want to come back again and again? THAT'S CHIMLANH! To preface, I had NEVER been to Chimlanh (or Sandwich Hag) prior to this experience, yet everyone was so friendly that I felt like a regular! I was given warm greetings, a menu overview, recommendations, and a full experience when they served my order. All of their drinks are crafted with intentionality and attention to detail that is unmatched! I would consider myself a local coffee connoisseur and can promise there is no coffee like this in the DFW. I ordered the Cedar Sáigón (December Special) & the Cà Phê Trứng. The Cedar Sáigón is a creamy and rich iced Cà Phê with a refreshing coconut & pandan cold foam while the Cedar Sáigón is a hot Cà Phê with and egg cream that gives the drink texture and carries the flavor notes well. In addition the the general dining experience, they also are a great community contributor. At the restaurant, they offer games and books with a focus on Asian authors (like I mentioned earlier, intentionality is so notable here which I love!). They also serve meals to the VA weekly so truly an involved establishment for the Dallas community! I will definitely need to come back to try some of their food offering and recommend this highly to anyone looking for a new go-to coffee spot! P.S. when you GPS there, the entrance is in the back of the parking lot. From the front, I thought I was in the wrong place or that it had closed; however, was glad to see I just had to drive in a little further!

Yelp
Not a lot of Vietnamese coffee around the area, nice to see more representation. A little confusing to get to the area, it's tucked behind a sando shop. Service was great, friendly staff and very informative. Eager to help. Egg coffee came out lukewarm, would've liked it to be hotter, but the flavor was good.
