First and last time I get from here. I got sweet and sour chicken and worked fried rice. It doesn't smell or taste right. It's not good,it's not terrible and I'm not picky .

Google
Only ordered sweet and sour chicken with lo mein and pork fried rice with crab ragoon costed me 40 bucks for all that is crazy got smaller portions but I got white rice no ragoons not even any fortune cookies. Only got 10 dollars in return for half a order wrong.

The food is amazing, affordable, and was done very quickly! The staff was very friendly as well. I will be coming back here in the future

Google
Asked for soy sauce to be in the bag didnt get a single packet of anything. Ordered 2 gaurts of sweet n sour chicken and got mostly tiny burnt pieces with no chicken inside. Not impressed

Google
Great local chinese restaurant, we love the chow mein noodles!

Google
Vegetable Egg Foo Young is delicious!! I’ve found my restaurant for that!! As for the boneless spare ribs, they had some gristle and there’s nothing worse than biting into a chunk of gristle when expecting yummy boneless meat. That’s all we got tonight. We’ll keep trying other stuff. The egg foo young is my test for “how good is this restaurant”. Lol. The gravy was yummmmmy. Very very happy. Thank you!

Google
Tje service is always good I always order the chicken and broccoli and I kiss u not it be very hot by the time I get back home it's still hot not a hint of cold and I love that about their food, the front desk lady is always kind. My number one favorite Chinese take out☺️

Google
My husband and I are new to Inverness, and this place did not disappoint. The food was hot and delicious. We asked that the General Tso's be very mild spiciness, and it was perfect. They were also very nice and accommodating. We have defintely found our place for Chinese takeout.

Yelp
This place has good food and available to remove anything you dislike for things you like, they can make some things that's is not a combo into a combo, very nice restaurant.

Yelp
I'm sorry I can not rate them they have new people there they made a big mistake with the order and I made as big order. I also asked for boneless rib tips without the sauce due to diabides. I m very honest this restaurant has changed than the high in price for things that was not ordered in the first place I was not really happy

Yelp
I ordered chicken wings with Pork fried rice, well the poerk rice had 3 small pices of pork, I also ordered wonton soup, arrived home, they did not give a bag of hgard noddles for the soup. The rice sucked. The chicken wings were not even chripy at all, more like rotisserir soft. I do not recommend this place.

Yelp
Always happy with our order from China First! We frequently order through DoorDash and our food comes hot and fresh.

Yelp
Food here is mediocre at the best, the reason I only went once. Service is poor. There are plenty of Chinese places that are close buy to get really good food for the same price.

Yelp
Make sure you know what you are paying for, they seem to up your bill. Both people before me questioned their bill and she was charging them double. When I ordered she told me the amount and I said how could it be that much and she immediately dropped it to the right price. Be careful.

Yelp
Some of the worst Chinese food ever from one of the rudest women I have ever encountered. I ordered and was charged for requesting white chicken meat in my General Tso. Instead I got a few small tiny strips of questionable mystery dark meat with probably 90% batter!! The entire meat portion of my food was almost completely batter. I almost feel she had to have been teaching me a lesson for asking for something different. While the other four or five customers were waiting for their food, the same lady tore into several other customers in front of everyone. Beware of this place!!!

Yelp
Order out from here quite often, often enough to use their website to order and pay to make it convenient for BOTH of us. I recently noticed an extra $2.00 charge and asked what it was for and was informed that it was a "convenience fee" Bye Bye China First

Yelp
I have been on the search for a good Chinese restaurant in the Inverness area. The search continues. The good. It appears somewhat clean. Takeout is pretty fast. The window service (now because of covid) is adequate. The bad. If bland flavorless chinese food is what you crave, this is right for you. I've tried this place at least 4 times in the past 2 years and each time I say it's my last, but then the convenience of the location, and my optimism that "Perhaps they have changed, it's hard to wreck chinese food" takes over and I try them again, AND am disappointed again. I rate it two stars, because the lunch is cheap and the wonton soup isn't terrible. I am so sorry this isn't better. I really want it to be.

Yelp
They serve an okay pork fried rice. The egg rolls are small and sometimes too soggy. Some of the time I find my hot and sour soup to taste a bit off and definitely not a consistent recipe. The chicken in the dinners is sometimes too breaded. This place was much better several years ago and a regular monthly pick up for dinner, but not so much any longer.

Yelp
Placed the order online. It said it would be ready for pickup at 6:22. Didn't get it until 6:50. They forgot my fried rice I ordered and the steamed vegetables was basically only broccoli. I will never choose to eat here again.

Yelp
We enjoy Yummy House, but find Ocala too far to drive, so we tried China First, in Hernando. The food was OK. The only thing keeping us from ever going back was the lack of cleanliness. Nothing about the place seemed clean, starting with the front door. If they don't clean the things that are obvious, why should we believe the kitchen is clean or that the staff has good hygiene habits?

Yelp
I love this place. It's more of a take out restaurant but if you wanted to sit and eat there's a couple tables. There food is always fresh. My daughter favorite is the pork Lo mein. The Prague chicken is good and the egg rolls are yummy.

Ed P.

Yelp
Food has been good here in the past but there is no excuse for it to take 45 minutes to get a Chinese take out order. Hopefully they gave us the right stuff... I've gone ahead and upgraded my rating and added to the review. My order, while delayed, ended up correct and the food was hot and good. So, in four visits, the food was always excellent but there was an unacceptable delay on one occasion.

Yelp
Looking for a new Chinese restaurant. Always loved their food and was worried when they got new owners but, it has been ok. Until tonight! Beef in my beef and broccoli and beef lo main was bad. As in had a foul taste. Even my dog sniffed it and walked away. I called and told them about it. They said to bring it back and they would make it again. I'm sorry but I do not want anymore bad beef. I won't be back!

Yelp
food was very good, but I am still hungry, the portion of the lunch special was very small, the egg roll was tiny, this is the first Chinese food since covid-19, today's date is 04/30/20. I was afraid this was going to happen, so I am not surprised at all, I will try another place in Inverness, Fl.

Jane R.

Yelp
Had a combo lunch from this restaurant today. Shrimp lo mein and pork fried rice. Which was 80% rice to 20% lo mein. Which the rice not being very good in my opinion. Reason for my review. I gave them 2 stars because I can tell you they have good eggs rolls. Better luck to you for a better meal than I received from them.

Yelp
When you walk in and look at the decor the place needs a good scrubbing and painting if the front is dirty what about the kitchen????

Michelle M.

Yelp
China First restaurant on Croft and 44 in Inverness Fl. has really dropped in quality since I last ate there a year ago. Rarely get Chinese but since I have been craving it and I have to be on a clear liquid diet for the next 3 days I stopped to grab a last meal on the way home. The food was horrible. The egg drop soup was a congealed mess of flavorless goop the General Tao's chicken was bland the crab ragoons we're soggy and had a sour taste they tasted of an imitation cheese filling. I had some beef and snow peas that was ok but nothing to write home about and for this and some cold fried rice I paid a whopping $37 dollars would have had a better meal at McDonald's and could have gotten a drink and desert

Yelp
Best chinese in inverness. And fresh. Try this place before any other and youll see the difference..

Yelp
If you love Chinese wings, you are no doubt aware that good ones can be hard to find. This place has the best I've had ever since I moved out of New England: 1. Fried Chicken Wings (4) is what you want to order. One wing is a full wing, containing the drummie, flat, and even the point. These are marinaded, lightly breaded, perfectly fried and served in a paper bag. (I only ever got them to go, and never ordered anything else with them.) Quite simply, these are the best wings of this kind I've ever had. These guys don't make any of the rookie mistakes, the sophomore mistakes, or any mistakes at all in their wing production. What can I say? I was in wing heaven!

Yelp
Good NYC style Chinese food. Solid and family owned. Consistent and fast. What more can I say?

Jeff B.

Yelp
Awful food. Ordered the bourbon chicken and in no way did it resemble chicken, either by look or taste. I've had plenty of bourbon chicken at other places and I have no idea what I just ate. Terrible.
