"This establishment brings the flavors of Dongbei, a region consisting of three provinces that make up China’s northeast corner, right to the heart of Malden. It’s a family-run business that started in Belmont in 2010 and moved to Malden in 2017. Come here for the housemade Northern-style dumplings, which offer fillings such as suanicai (Chinese sauerkraut) and sanxian (three umami, typically a mixture of three ingredients which can include shiitake mushroom, shrimp, and carrots), as well as fish dumplings." - Valerie Li Stack, Eater Staff

I just ordered a make your own plate. The chicken finger batter was under cooked. The boneless spare ribs wasn’t chewable. The rice wasn’t fresh. I decided to call them about it. They said next time ask us to cook the chicken fingers longer. And said they couldn’t do anything about the ribs. I said no worries I will not be coming back to there establishment again.

I always buy at this restaurant and everything was fine. I stopped buying because the prices went up a lot. but today I bought a special rice and when I opened it it had several small cockroaches inside, imagine how disgusting and unpleasant it was to find that. The good Chinese food for me is Mei-ling in Medford

Google
Very tasty. Highly recommend the crab rangoons, scallion pancakes and shrimp lo mein late night :)

Google
Ordered spicy but food turned out to be non spicy. Happened couple of times, don’t think they understand what does it mean by spicy. Just Ok restaurant but quantity is worth the price. They only take cash.

Google
My parents, siblings, family members and friends have been ordering here since the 1980s for Birthdays functions and holidays they have great amazing foods and prices for all your American Chinese food cravings a hidden gem 💎 of my own here in Malden...!

Jessica

Google
Food is okay. Generous portions. Sometimes the service is quick and sometimes you have to wait a while even for takeout.

Keith Bettencourt

Google
Added crab Rangoon to lunch order that was 10$$ added 14$$ for 2 rangoons don’t go there

Google
My favorite Chinese take-out!!!! Best egg rolls we've ever had. It's strictly a take out place, No tables, It's not pretty, but their food is so very tasty! Cash only!

Thomas S.

Yelp
lousy taste very dirty cooking area used to be good went way downhill they are off my list of takeout chinese food

Tiffany R.

Yelp
Lo mein was great! Fried rice was a bit dry. Portions were good size. Had to Uber to pick it cause they only deliver local

Brenda L.

Yelp
Best old school Chinese takeout in MA north shore. Best boneless, chicken fingers, and egg rolls. General gaus is white meat with pineapple, not those mystery chunks you get everywhere. Yes, it's cash only. Prepare accordingly.

Kathy K.

Yelp
I have been going to China Garden since my boys were little and they are now 50+ !! The food is fresh and consistently good. Pork fried rice is tasty and portions are better than most take-outs. Also chicken wings are cooked well - not bloody. I generally get the luncheon specials. Prices are reasonable and staff are courteous.

Gail A.

Yelp
I always went to Tiki Island but, now they are closed for good. I thought I would try China Garden. I had my order delivered . OMG!!! The chicken fingers were dark brown, chicken was dry. Pork fried rice had hardly any flavor. Rice was all stuck together. Hard to find the pork in it. Was it because it was delivered? I will NEVER order from there again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michael L.

Yelp
Have gone here for many years and it has gone downhill over the past few years, I guessing the new generation of owners work there and are really rude

Raymond L.

Yelp
This ancient joint just offers cheap Chinese takeout, that's all. Don't expect decent Chinese foods there. There are much better Chinese foods around metro Boston, I know. Those of you who praised this joint just have no clues as to what real Chinese food is like. Go to Chinatown in Boston if you want real good Chinese foods. This joint sucks and I do know it, trust me. They only accept cash because they have been evading taxes from the IRS since day one. I used to work there for a few months, so I know. They are cheaters. IRS, go check them out!!!

Frank D.

Yelp
Best eggrolls anywhere!! Great boneless spareribs! I have been going here for around 40 years. Food has been above average most of the time. better than most places. I would highly recommend!! Cheaper than most too!

Colin M.

Yelp
I've heard about this place from family and a few friends but had never been in so my girlfriend and I were in the area and were craving Chinese, so we thought we'd give it a try. We were not disappointed! They have a very affordable lunch menu offering all the favorites. I had the number two which was chicken wings, boneless spareribs, and fried rice which was all heavenly. I don't go into crazy details because I have a life and being an Elite yelper is not it. I DO highly recommend China Garden though however. Lunch for two was $18 with plenty of leftovers. You can't go wrong. We can't wait to go back.

Kimberly G.

Yelp
This restaurant has been in Malden for many years, and they never disappoint. The food is well made, their customer service is excellent. Their restaurant is clean and they care about if the customer is happy.

Celina M.

Yelp
I lived in MA my whole life until three years ago, I moved to NYC I been to many Chinese restaurants all over The east coast and this particular restaurant is for sure in my top 3, Great prices, large quantity of food, Combination #13 is my favorite, whenever visiting MA always make it my way to this restaurant.

TheDragonB B.

Yelp
I'm cool with this place. Their Boneless ribs have a nice char to them. Their Egg Foo Yong is okay, but needs improvement on the sauce (gravy). Needs some flavor. Their Garlic Chicken Wings are AWESOME! The sauce is super flavorful. The fried rice is standard. If you need a quick spot with low prices, China Garden hits the spot when needed.

Annie G.

Yelp
Not very happy with China Garden. It used to be the best place around. Don't know if it's new owners but the food has gone down hill. Man taking order on phone was very rude when I asked him a question. The food was not good quality and tasted like leftovers from the night before. I will NOT be going back anytime soon.

Elyse B.

Yelp
Love china garden! A wonderful local staple. The food is prepared quickly and fresh even late at night. They often repeat the order for accuracy I appreciate that level of service. I wish they offered a weekly deal or some type of loyalty card for regulars!

Lonnie H.

Yelp
I enjoy American Chinese food occasionally and usually I'll just want some appetizers and takeout and China Garden is the place to go. I've been coming here fo take out for as long as I can remember my friend used to own a bar around the corner and it was guaranteed At least once a week back in the day now the bar is gone I've stopped drinking and cut back on the once a week Chinese food. But I gotta tell you it's always delicious it's always the same it's always fresh and this is dating back years it's no wonder they're always busy. I get pretty much same thing give or take usually all appetizers like this time however I've gotten dishes which were always terrific so you cant go wrong with anything dishes or appetizers. On this night I got boneless spare ribs I like them a little burnt got couple orders Pee King Raviolis couple orders Chicken Fingers and large order egg rolls. I get extra hot mustard and duck sauce. Everything is prepared right in front of u kitchen is wide open it's clean and I like that u can see everything plus over all the years I've never had a bad meal not 1 single time that's a lot of meals. If your looking for American Chinese takeout you will definitely be happy that's for sure

Cassie D.

Yelp
Can someone explain to me why this place acts like Duck Sauce is made with flakes of gold and can't be given out ??!? My husband and I ordered from here at least once a week. I guess it was out of habit since their food is exactly like every other Chinese place in Massachusetts. After last night I will never order from here again. I got my usual Pork Fried Rice and Scallion Pancake. My husband decided to try something different from his usual and ordered some beef and broccoli dish (did not look appetizing to me). I went to get my plate out after the food arrived and realized there was no Duck Sauce. Are you kidding me? It is bad enough when we usually get it the container is filled half way so I have to be careful not to use it all at once so I can have some for my leftovers but now there is NONE? No, but we do have 2 different kinds of soy sauce and spicy mustard!??! Great! I can't eat pork fried rice without duck sauce. Do you know what this pork fried rice is without the duck sauce? Dry and disgusting. I am really mad, my dinner is ruined. I call the restaurant and tell them they forgot the duck sauce. The RUDE MAN on the other end of the line tells me that they only give us duck sauce if we order an appetizer. WHAT?!?!? I have been eating Chinese food for 30 years and now you want to make up your own rules about duck sauce and when you do and don't give it out??????? I said, I have Scallion Pancake right here, where is my duck sauce? He then says, no you need a different appetizer. This is insane. I will tell you what he should have done. He should have apologized for forgetting the duck sauce and told me that they'll send some out the next time the delivery driver goes out. Instead, he argues with me about DUCK SAUCE to the point where we will never order from them again. Lets see... about $40 a week, (plus my husband always tips very well so tell the delivery driver you're welcome) $160 a month, $1920 a year. Because you just had to keep your duck sauce. Good luck to you. I would also like to mention the "compliment" I received from Narin that I have posted. I wonder if this Narine works at China Garden, is possibly the rude man on the phone or is somehow related to someone at this place but I think it speaks volumes on the type of people this restaurant associates itself with. I am glad I have enough self esteem as to not take your petty comments to heart, however, you should realize that diabetes is not a joke and it doesn't only effect heavy people. Please educate yourself and know that by calling people names on Yelp because you don't agree with their review, really does not reflect well on you or the business.

Melquan M.

Yelp
This is probably the worse Chinese I've ever had. The orange chicken was horrifying. Slimy and no flavor. They gave me 10 pieces of chicken fingers but little to no rice. The boneless spare ribs were mainly all fat. Definitely won't be ordering from here again.

Michelle M.

Yelp
We ordered tonight. Ribs were all fat and chicken fingers were all dough. When we called they said there is nothing they could do and wouldn't refund us. Will be calling the board of health for under cooked chicken

Adam L.

Yelp
This place is probably one of the best chinese take out places i've been in a while. Its surprising to see a chinese take out place that is rated more than 3 stars with over 10 reviews. Surprisingly a lot of people order from this place, so it must be pretty good I got what seems to be their specialty. I got the #18 which came with fried rice, egg roll, 3 chicken wings and 2 spare ribs. First of all the fried rice that usually comes with take out restaurants taste like shit. They are usually hard and tasteless. This fried rice was actually very flavorful and quite soft, which always makes a meal more enjoyable. The chicken wings were hot and sizzling when i ate them which you know they make them fresh. Now time to try the spare ribes which was the bread and butter of this restaurant. What i imagined it to be was tough to chew and tasteless, what it actually tasted like was very flavorful, tender, and sauced! It was very pleasant to eat and chew. Never really tasted anything like this but it was something worth paying for. The place is cash only so i recommend you having enough cash before you come to this place. With that being said, this place is def worth coming back to and trying other things on their menu.

Jay L.

Yelp
I've been eating here for years. They are Cash only!! I recommend family style. Delicious and fast food. They are also open late which is great! Side note: They were in the movie the patriot !

Rachel M.

Yelp
As my husband keeps saying "quality and quantity"! We loved the dishes from China Garden. The prices are decent, and when you consider how much left overs you will have, it is well worth it. *thisis a CASH ONLY place. You can also call ahead and avoid the crowd and the wait. We ordered the hot and sour soup-- gobbled it down. We also got beef chow mein and sweet and sour chicken. Both excellent choices. Everything is freshly cooked as you order and they are so effecient that you'll wait no more than 5 minutes during rush hour.

Nereida B.

Yelp
The food was not what we were expecting it was really greasy tasted awful. I don't recommend this place if you want good Chinese food.

Bill K.

Yelp
I've come to China garden for almost 30 years. They have an open kitchen so you can see the chefs as they cook your food. One time they had forgotten something from my order and I returned and they were really apologetic. I've lived in a West Roxbury and methuen and still have driven to China garden for my chinese take out. Cash only

Darla S.

Yelp
MSG MSG MSG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought I was going to die. They use this old type food additive. Most people do not even know why they are sick or blame it on the food. NO its the MSG. Food wise they are great but using this additive is so unnecessary it todays foods.

Steve X.

Yelp
This place is by far the best Chinese take out place I have been. The price here is unbeatable for the amount of food you get. I mean the food is very very good. One mistake you should not make is to try to sit down here. This place is take out only really unless you are with a group of 4 guys. Then there will be space for you. What i mean is don't get deceived that you can sit down at this place, it is literally a hole in the wall, and one table. So just order the take-out, get stuffed with food, and feel good afterwards about life. Also the guy who takes your order, cracks me up everytime. Why? Go check it out for yourself.

Dave C.

Yelp
This place is THE PLACE for egg rolls and bad for you appetizers! I usually never eat egg rolls from Chinese restaurants, but after you've had one China Garden, you'll definitely want more. Their chicken wings are superb, and they taste even better the next day. Can never go wrong with the crab rangoons, as they are out of this world as well. Top it off with a house fried rice and a shrimp lobster sauce with fried noodles and you're all set for the evening of watching tv and kicking it back. This is a family run place and has its share of regulars. Just writing about this place is making me crave its egg rolls! Too bad they don't deliver to my neck of the woods, or I'd be ringing their phones off the hook!

Amanda Z.

Yelp
I'm very sad to say that we barely liked any of food we ordered. The won ton soup had snap peas and other pieces of green leaf vegetables in it, turning the traditional broth into a snap pea tasting fiasco that we ended up not getting beyond a couple of tastes. The only saving grace was the fried rice. But, that didn't make up for the weird looking and tasting general gau's chicken, "chicken fingers", and crab rangoon. Also, who sends sub-like rolls with chinese food? The one definitely good thing that I can say about China Garden is that they have fast delivery and their delivery guy was nice. Note: If you're getting delivery and want to pay via card over the phone, that's a no-go here. They only take credit cards when you're doing pick up. So for all you delivery junkies: cash only.

Sam O.

Yelp
I have to say... I've been trying Chinese Food all throughout Boston, New York... and China Garden is still by far my favorite. Everywhere else I go, I find myself saying... "It was good, but it's no China Garden." I've moved away from the area and cannot find anything comparable near me. It is not gourmet, and maybe it isn't real, authentic Chinese food... but they have my favorite boneless spare ribs, rice, and chicken fingers. I've never had food from here that I haven't liked. I like their crab rangoons, too, but there is 1 other place who I like them better from. The guy who answers the phone is awesome, too. He's really friendly and upbeat. Oh, and if you like hot mustard, China Garden's is really good. Check this place out. Everyone I know who has been there loves it. Get takeout or delivery because they have next to no seating, but that doesn't detract from China Garden's awesomeness at all.

Annette M.

Yelp
Ew. Just ordered from this place. I think the people who left good reviews, were paid to do so. So after ordering out from a menu I found on Grubhub and getting the receipt at arrival, I realized that the prices were raised, since the time the menu was uploaded. I didn't mind the price regardless, but it was totally not worth what I paid! 1st of all, the food was luke warm/cold upon arrival. 2nd of all, and most important, the quality was awful. I've never had (american)chinese food this bad, not even in the mall food courts. I ordered two of their combination plates; in total they contained white rice, lo mein, orange chicken, boneless bbq spare ribs, fried chicken, egg rolls and crab rangoons. I am going to expand on this. The lo mein is not the typical kind you'd have. They were made of a thin rice noodle and not the usual egg like noodles. Although they weren't the type of noodle I expected, it wasn't bad. Not to mention the white rice was dry. How could someone mess up on making rice?! Like seriously..you're a chinese restaurant. We expected the orange chicken to have a nice crisp fried look, with a sweet tangy sauce on top. Instead, the chicken wasn't even fried in a batter before hand. It was more like it was stir fried just in the sauce. Where's the crunch that we all love in the generals chicken and orange chicken? As for the all the rage over their egg rolls; they were nothing but the standard sucky egg rolls you get at most chinese places. They were filled with veggies and very little meat. They had so much overcooked greens in them. I was overwhelmed with a bite chalked full of celery. The crab rangoons weren't the best, but also not so bad. I think that the only way you could enjoy them is to make sure you have that dipping sauce (plum sauce?). I think it would've been better had they been warmer than when they arrived and just a bit crispier. They had the chew but not the bite. NOT trashing everything I had to eat. I did think that the spare ribs and fried chicken were up to standard, and not so bad. 3rd of all, the cost is totally not worth it. They automatically assumed I wanted the large order of the rangoons instead of a small. They didn't even tell me the cost before hanging up on the phone and all the other additional charges. The taste and quality of food was just not worth it Overall, I think if my food was warmer, this review wouldn't be so long. haha I also suggest you try a different place to fill your chinese food fix. this is the outdated menu i found http://www.grubhub.com/boston/china-garden-malden/

Andrea H.

Yelp
An old favorite! I grew up eating this Chinese and the place is still great. I think this restaurant is as old as the city of Malden! Seriously. Well at least 30 years old. This area of Highland Ave has seen better days, but this place has still survived. You have to understand what it is to appreciate it: a basic Chinese take out where appetizer items are the best. You walk up to this standing room pick-up counter and that's it. You can see them cooking in the back. They are known for their spare ribs, pork strips, egg rolls, and chicken fingers. So that is what you order there. Throw in a box of rice or lo mein and you make a meal out of it. Trust me, just pick a few items from the appetizers or no-brain it and get the pu pu platter. They are all reasonably priced so you can get several items and will probably have a few left overs. This is NOT the place to attempt to order some kind of Chinese main course dinner or you will probably be disappointed.

Zac P.

Yelp
Shanghai Moon was closed so I came here. It looks super shady. it tasted super shady. It was amongst the worst Chinese food I've ever had. That said....it met my expectations! 3 stars. Keep MSG'in, my man. You guys are taking the mediocre train to a whole same level. Ever drop a 10 dollar bill and can't find it later in the day? Buying from here is just like that. No big deal as long as you can keep paying rent that month.

Chrys C.

Yelp
Yummy food. Good prices. Great lobster sauce! I live in California and the Chinese food in my area is crap! I grew up in the east coast and nothing taste better to me than "Boston style" Chinese takeout (: i pretty much got a little of everything on the menu while I was there my last trip. I had to take advantage of it before coming back to the west but my only complaints is the 5 lbs i gained and the fact that its CA$H ONLY was a bit inconvenient.

Claudio O.

Yelp
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE !!! I saw some good reviews in the internet about this place, and I ordered orange beef. The orange beef was looking like vomit, a tasteless ( I mean literally tasteless, no kidding!!) white vomit!!!!!!!! I call the guy to complain about the food and he was very rude with me. I don't recommend to my worst enemy to eat in this place, its really, really, really terrible. Run from this place !!!!!!!!

Liana K.

Yelp
While the eggs rolls are pretty awesome, you failed at hot and sour soup, it was all sour mix that tasted months old. Yuck! The meat on a stick was yummy, but I need my soup!

Emma A.

Yelp
I tell you what, if a zombie apocalypse ever hits and you can break the windows to get in and cook food with what was left, then definitely go here. Otherwise, don't waste your breath ordering, time waiting, or "cash only" money. I called and ordered delivery at 7:00. 8:00 roams around and I'm starving. I call to check in and hear, "Yes, it's on it's way. We don't have it in the system because it went out." Oh okay, coolsies. EXCEPT IT WASN'T. It wasn't coming, and by the time he called me at 8:30 to tell me he never placed my order but can send it now, I was hangry AF. But if it's free it's for me, so let's let them deliver. HA...they still wanted me to pay for it! Yeah um, NO. Moral of the story: Order from Great Chow. You're welcome.

Middleclass R.

Yelp
I go there when I am craving lobster sauce over fried rice. Their sauce is nice and thick dark and just the right combination of sweet and salty for me. It's as close as you can get to the lobster sauce I grew up eating from the Gold Coin in the seventies. Rice is typical east coast greasy fried rice the way I like it. Nothing fancy... walk in order and its ready in 10 minutes. Not high end like All Seasons Table but exactly what I expect from chinese takeout. The Beef Terriaki is good too.

Mark M.

Yelp
First off Food is pretty good! Great lunch specials. Not much room to eat inside as its meant for takeout. Same beatup table and chairs from the 1990s. I moved to Arizona and was back and excited to have my favorite chinese food but really not best service. Guy at counter seemed sour. Maybe a bad day but I got the impression like i was bothering him? Do they not want my business? God forbid you say hello or thank you after handing me the food. Again.. Great food but work on your damn people skills if you expect people to come back. Typical arrogant Boston attitude.

Davyn W.

Yelp
I have never been more disappointed in a restaurants service or their food in my life. I ordered some food for my roommates and myself tonight, including some egg rolls that everyone seems to rave over and an order of General's chicken. My order ended up far more expensive than I expected, partially because the man on the phone (who kept talking over me and took forever to get my address as a consequence) did not verify my order or give me a total before hanging up on me. The food arrived in a timely fashion, although I'm not sure that counts for much since the food failed to meet expectations. First, the egg rolls. I DO NOT understand why people rave about them; the ingredients inside are loosely chopped, look like they were prepped by someone with little to no experience with a knife. The entire thing is kind of soft and floppy, very hard to eat because of how loose it is. It is, without a doubt, the WORST egg roll I have ever had. And WHO PUTS CELERY IN AN EGG ROLL? Moving on, the General Tso's chicken. This was the biggest disappointment of it all. I do not know how anyone can mess up a dish THIS BAD but they somehow managed it! There's a sort of weird texture to the sauce, it coats your mouth in a floury way when you eat it. It is unpleasant, to say the least. Oh, and did I mention the pineapple? And the distinct lack of broccoli or any spice? Now, I know that General Tso's chicken is not traditional Chinese cuisine. But there is a sort of unspoken rule that General Tso's chicken is A. Spicey and B. Comes with broccoli. That's why, if you put it on a menu, people will order it and know what to expect without much guesswork. It's a pretty universally understood dish. So, noting the lack of these two universal elements, I assumed there had been some kind of mistake. Here comes in the nail in their coffin, and the final reason why I will NEVER buy from them again. I called the place back up, hoping to clear up what had happened with my order. I was willing to forgive the mediocre service from earlier and the atrocious egg rolls (I was, after all, promised by the good people here that they were good). However, the man on the phone insisted that General's chicken had pineapple, and no broccoli. And insisted that it wasn't supposed to be spicy, and that I was wrong. I told him that on the menu, it said that it came with broccoli. He then told me that they had no menu! All in all, this place is incredibly unprofessional in their customer service AND in their food preparation. I would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE. I feel like I was majorly swindled out of money tonight. If you are thinking of getting food from here, I beg you to reconsider.

Shann K.

Yelp
Having just moved to the area we are in the process of testing out all the new local faire. We decided to give China Garden a shot and do I wish we just passed. The orange chicken tasted like flour, no flavor at all. The chicken fingers weren't cooked long enough and the batter wasn't cooked in the middle, it was all soggy and gross. The crab rangoons were bland, puff pastry with generic cream cheese filling. The rice was dry. The only saving grace were the boneless spareribs, they were actually pretty decent. But other than that the whole meal thrown away. Waste of money.

Taylor S.

Yelp
China Garden is one of my favorite Chinese restaurant! My personal favorites are the homemade egg rolls and the crab rangoons. The restaurant is very known for their delicious eggs rolls. I recommend you guys to dip the rolls in duck sauce. The prices are reasonable and the food is fast and ready. I also like how I can watch the chefs cooking.

K H.

Yelp
Very reasonable prices, and they give you tons of food. The food itself is pretty amazing, always delicious. Oh, and they are very quick to deliver. The biggest negative is that it is cash only, so please be aware about that before going to China Garden. Other than that, they are pretty rude and the exterior and interior of the building are kind of a mess and off-putting.

Theresa J.

Yelp
This place is worth at least 8 stars so even the bad things allow them to still get a 5. Just wanted to say NEVER and I do mean NEVER order the garlic chicken wings. I did not taste any garlic. All I tasted was 500000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 milligrams of sodium. OMG!!!!!!!

John P.

Yelp
I had a bad experience back a few years ago with the food, but I just recently started going back to China Garden. I was going to Real Lucky or should I say Real Yucky and the food went down hill there. I said what the heck let me try China Garden again, and I'm glad I did. The egg rolls are excellent, and the Beef Lo Mein is superb. I love the Lo Mein noodles that they use. I only wish they had Beef Chow Foon. I would recommend trying China Garden.

Amy M.

Yelp
Usually, we can find a place that does great junkfood-Chinese food (chicken fingers, egg rolls, chicken wings, etc.) and another place that does good meal-Chinese food (lo mein, entrees, soup, etc.) but it's rare to get both needs at one restaurant. We've been on the hunt for THAT place for a long time (so one delivery can satisfy multiple cravings). The egg rolls are as good as everyone says. They taste home-made. The wrapper was really fresh and it was PACKED with a ton of cabbages, onions and tender (not overly dry and stringy) pork. The duck sauce was NOT all applesaucy in its consistency - it was great. They *were* a little soggy but hey -- that's delivery. Find me a restaurant that can deliver deep-fried food in perfectly crispy condition just like I was in the restaurant and they can have a customer for life. For delivery, they were better than usual in terms of crispiness. The lo mein noodles are either made fresh on site or ordered daily from a fresh noodle supplier -- either way -- superb noodle quality. I didn't eat the shrimp with lobster sauce by my partner declares it, "DELICIOUS!" We also ordered egg drop soup which we were too full to eat last night - stay tuned for an update. One note of caution: the soups come in "one size only" and that size is QUART. Mind you, I am not unhappy to have two quarts of soup (I freaking LOVE soup) and the price was fair for that size but do keep that in mind if you don't want twice the soup you are expecting. My only complaint: canned mushrooms. Usually rage-inducing, Chinese food is the only cuisine where I have forgiveness for canned mushrooms if everything else is good. Everything else was good but still, I feel an obligation to put it out there. I look forward to giving other menu items a try based on the quality of last night's meal. The lo mein and egg rolls are a DEFINITE repeat and I'm especially excited to try anything noodle-based if they use fresh noodles in all their dishes.

Yelp
I live close by been going here for years it is consistently good tasty and hot. If you want good clean takeout this it the place to go. best egg rolls around. Ok just ordered their again let me say this place is my go to Chinese food place but they could put more meat in their dishes all veggies and sauce and the beef dishes are always tough But the apps are always very good !

Yelp
good, greasy chinese food! Love the noodles they use for the lo mein, medium thickness and perfect! My go to take out chinese in the medford/malden area. The one negative is cash only.

Yelp
I have gotten take out from here a bunch of times. The egg roll and boneless spareribs are excellent. Their vegetarian dishes are also very good along with their orange beef and other stir fry's. I would give it more then 3 stars if it wasn't for their fried rice which I did not care for and their moo shoo which is only so so. That being said the other things I have tried have been good. If you are looking for cheap fast take out that's open late you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
I decided to try this place after reading the reviews and It's a solid greasy spoon Chinese place. Sometimes I like authentic and sometimes I like Americanized. As stated in other reviews the guy who takes your order is all business with an upbeat attitude, food's always ready when I get there and the order's are consistently accurate. I don't normally care about egg rolls but theirs are very good. Like some have said, I think they're made there. There appetizers are all good. Tried the Lo Mien, Beef and pork fried rice, all very good. It

Yelp
Just ate there again. I get food there on random occasions. I determined that the food is consistently good. Big fan of the egg roll, It may be home made. The generals chicken is one of the best I have eaten. Again, I highly recommend The Generals Chicken all day special meal. The chicken is not overly battered and is tender. It is your typical take out restaurant. Nizze an Greazzy That's all I have eaten.

Yelp
Quick fast service - I try to order basic white rice dishes - this is the only good place to order chinese junk food. The customer service is excellent and they know how to introduce new dishes from the menu for us to try out.
