Had shrimp chow mun, pork and mixed veggies, pork fried rice, egg drop soup, and egg rolls. Between two adults and a 2 year old we took home half, and paid around 25$. Fast service and food was hot, delicious, and served with a smile. They have child seats if needed, and water is self service. For the price, this quality of Chinese food is very good.

Great chinese food. Good portion size for the money and tasted great. We had generals, strawberry, and orange chicken. Order of crab rangoons and the lo mein. All excellent choices. Not much dining space, so plan this for a take out or delivery.

For $27, I was able to get two large containers of food and an appetizer. Specifically, the Eggplant with Garlic Sauce was too salty, but was balanced out by the steamed rice. The Singaporean Chow Mei Fun was also good but the chef over cooked the curry powder, rendering parts of the dish quite bitter. The appetizer, Hot and Spicy Noodles with Minced Pork was decent. Taste wise, the food had some adjustments they could (and should) make. However, I am giving them a 5/5 for their huge portion sizes.

Beef lo mein lunch special, egg roll, crab ragoon, sweet and sour sauce. I would have liked less white rice and more noodles. They have Pepsi, not Coke. ❤️ So far my favorite Chinese restaurant!

I had the General Tso's lunch special it was ok. It had large chunks of chicken that were crispy and full of flavor but it was drowned with sauce. I would eat here again. My co pilot ate the shrimp and broccoli lunch special it as good enough I couldn't get a picture with a shrimp in it.

This place kept me fed through grad school! Friendly owners, fresh food, and very clean restaurant. Great prices and portions too.

Used to come here all the time, but moved away a few years ago...had the opportunity to come back here for the day and HAD to stop back by and eat! She remembered us and the food was as delicious as ever!!! I LOVE that they can make any meat dish with tofu (substitute)! Got our usual, general tao tofu and tofu with vegetables ❤️😁👍

Tried the General Tso, Orange, and Sesame chicken dishes with rice and noodles—all were delicious and freshly made. The lunch special is also an awesome deal and you get a good portion size, including an egg roll. Great place and should be a go-to for (American style) Chinese. Jan 2023

Was traveling from CA to Indiana and decided to order Chinese for delivery to our hotel. The food was just okay. Not bad but not great. If ordering from a hotel make sure to put in remarks as my order came with zero plates, utensils or napkins. That was fun trying to eat.

We had our food delivered. It was excellent. The only downfall was we ordered the the SHRIMP in garlic sauce. Looks like we got shrimp & vegetables. I had only 4 shrimp. The rest was broccoli & carrots & mushrooms. I didn't order shrimp and vegetables. I should have gotten more shrimp with the shrimp in garlic sauce. Disappointed. Please make it clear on menu what we are getting with the garlic sauce. Tooo many vegetables.

I ordered the "Sweet and Sour Combo". The price was good and they definitely didn't short me on food. It was prepared quickly and the service was excellent. The reason I didn't give them five stars was because although the container was overflowing with the meat was there was absolutely no vegetables (peppers, onions and pineapple) that I expect in my sweet and sour dish.

Love their Generals chicken and crab Rangoon both. . Wife loves the chicken lo mein. Haven't tried much else.

My favorite Asian restaurant in Columbia. Food has always been great and the staff are always friendly and fast! Best of all, they right on my way home from work!! Very convenient and always looks clean.

Pretty standard American Chinese food. Super fast for pickup, extremely large portions, and hits the spot if you're craving Chinese food. It's decent for Columbia, but nothing to write home about if you've ever lived somewhere with better options for Chinese.

It seems like most of the problems with this place in previous reviews is their delivery. I can't speak on that as I ordered online and pick up in store as I live only about a mile away. That being said their website is easy to navigate and the food was hot and delicious when I picked it up. I got the dinner combo orange chicken and it was HUGE. To my surprise it also came with fried rice instead of white and the chicken was all white meat. Both of which are positives for me. I also got a pint order of lo mein and it was also pretty good! The prices are also on point. Everything was cheap and had at least 2 servings (at least for my appetite). I always keep in mind that these kinds of chinese places are basically fast food places. You're not gonna get anything stellar but when you're craving that greasy chinese food taste, it's pretty good. I'll definately be back!

I ordered spring rolls and spicy tofu through doordash. It was delivered hot and crispy... beautiful rolls... and the tofu (bean curd) was delicious and extra spicy just like I requested! So rare that restaurants actually make things extra spicy when requested! I don't usually rate restaurants I've not been inside ... but this was so great... I have to! Yum! If I lived here I'd order it all the time!

Really good crab rangoons and orange chicken. I was hungover and it cured my need for something grease

Ordered the chicken wings, and wonton soup. The chicken wings had no flavor tasted like there was no seasoning added, just blan. The wonton soup broth tasted greasy, and the wontons both had no flavor. I gave this restaurant a second chance. It failed both times! I don't know whom is giving this place good reviews. Because the food is horrible!

The best Chinese food in town. I don't eat anywhere else for Chinese. always fresh and always huge portions. House fried rice and crab Rangoon is my jam every time. Can't go wrong! Thank you for great food!

The man cooking the food was not wearing gloves and picked his nose and rubbed his face multiple times while making the food!!! These were full blown nose digs. He even looked right at me during one of his pickings!! I was so shocked I couldn't say anything, I walked out speechless and will probably need counseling.

AMAZING Chinese food. Coming from out of town just looking for a quick bite to eat and we were blown away. We had Kung Pao Chicken and General Tso's Chicken, so much food, so delicious.

Horrible. Ordered online. Received a call that they could not accommodate a item on order and was told the food was on its way. Food did not come for almost 2hrs. Called 3 times. Spoke to manager/owner said that food was on its way. Called again after 30 additional minutes. Delivery driver shows up. Food was cold-ish and had a HAIR in it. Would like a full refund but the people are so rude that's not likely to happen. So mad my family was starving and only could eat a 1/3 of our order.

Really good food and you get a lot for the price. Had my father in law in town. He's very picky about Chinese food and he loved this place. Quick delivery!

Fried rice is not brown rice. Human beef way too spicy. Chicken with vegetables very good. Fast. Will try something less spicy next time.

My boyfriend and I are new to Columbia and we miss ordering Chinese takeout from our favorite place back home. We took a chance with China Moon and it is even better! The portion sizes are excellent and the flavors of the dishes are absolutely delicious. Every dish seemed to be made well. This is definitely one of the best Chinese take-out we've had. We can't wait to order more!

Read reviews, was hoping to get Cashew Chicken like what is served in Springfield, Mo. The food came out hot in temperature, but no other taste. The fried rice was not appealing either. Friend had Beef dish, theirs too was undesirable. We will not return. Too many children in kitchen where food being prepared, hand washing was not done and make putting together food was touching child , then food, no gloves. Was told by client that she got food poisoning from take out and spent the night in ER.

I was 2.5miles away from this place when I did my delivery order. They said they werent busy when I made the call. It took them more than 50mins to deliver my order. The delivery fee is 3$. The minimum for delivery is 10$. The taste is ok.

Actually I was torn between 3 and 4 stars because the food was OK but the portions sizes were so generous, I decided to go with 4 stars. This place is recently opened in a brand new building so it is not like your typical local "hole-in-he-wall" Chinese food place. It looks just like them, but everything was new and very clean. It was about 20 degrees when we went there and we planned to dine in, but the table area was small and the entrance door closed slowly so, rather than eating in the cold, we opted for carry out. I had an egg-roll, egg drop soup, and Szechaun chicken for lunch today. This was a LOT of food and I could only eat about 1/2 and it was under $7. The egg roll was freshly cooked. The veggies were crisp. The flavor was OK but a little soy sauce helped. The egg drop soup appearance and consistency was spot (it was missing green onion though) on but it was seriously bland. I am hoping this is because the place is new and they are working out the kinks. I will try this again as the prices are so reasonable that if I don't like it, it is not a financial hit on my wallet. The szechaun chicken was OK, a little heavy on the oyster sauce for my liking, but there was a ton of it in my carry-out container. They also used a lot of chicken which surprised me in a positive way. The szechaun chicken came with a lot of fried rice, which was also about average, but was greatly improved when I blended in some of the szechaun chicken to mop up the excess oyster sauce. I will try this place again.

Can't rate this place highly enough for a relatively cheap local Chinese joint! My last three orders have been perfect and ready within 20 minutes for pickup! Food is always hot and packed to the top of the container!

What little flavor there was, tasted slightly fishy. We didn't order shrimp, so.... Really, no flavor. Two packs of soy sauce didn't make a dent. Smallest dumplings in history, fried rice really funky brown. First and last time ordering there. Delivery guy was great!

I've tried several other Chinese deliveries and this one if the best by far. Get a lot for your money and it's delicious!

This place is the classic no frills chinese food place. The service is great and the food is always hot! I have tried a couple of there dishes but I keep going back to Beef Lo Mein! So tasty!

We love China Moon! They are always hot, fresh, yummy and in half the time they say it will take. Fantastic food and polite staff. Plus you can order delivery right through Yelp which is super convenient.

So, I ordered here again last night, because I was craving their chicken dumplings again. And they were good. However, I ordered the plain lo mein instead of the chicken. It tasted like fried rice, and was burnt to the point where I threw the rest of it away. Every bite had a burnt taste and it was just unpleasant. The spring rolls have an odd, sweet, almost cinnamon flavor. And, I ordered delivery, it took forever. They said 45 minutes, it was an hour and a half before it showed up. Will I order again? Meh. Might just stick with something closer to home.

We've been going to China Moon regularly for the past 4 years, and with ABC gone they are now our go-to Chinese takeout place. Nothing fancy, but the food is consistently good, and equally important: they get the order right every time: nothing forgotten, nothing substituted incorrectly. Delivery is also fast (mind you, we only live a mile away), and their prices are totally reasonable.

My husband and I order from here frequently and definitely think it's the best Chinese food in Columbia. Everything is always hot and fresh when we receive it. The portions are always very generous. We usually order through a delivery service but it takes no time. I would definitely recommend China moon.

Excellent beef and broccoli as well as chicken and broccoli. Fried rice was a seasoned a bit heavier than I was used to but still delicious.

I would say NO stars if this site would allow it. I did NOT get all the food I paid for and ordered. A friend and I were also sick for THREE days afterward. I had the worst stomach cramps, vomiting, & diarrhea I've had in my whole life. NO LIE!!!! I'm making a report to the Department of Health hopefully before they kill some one with their food!!!

On a road trip from Denver to Columbus and stopped in Columbia for the night. Most of the local delivery options were pizza, which I wasn't in the mood for, so I decided to order China moon. Upfront, the food was actually pretty good. I was impressed, I didn't expect decent Chinese from a little restaurant in the middle of nowhere. The only thing that irritated me was that it took an hour and a half for my delivery to get to me because they delivered it to the wrong hotel. How does that even happen?

The Moo Shu Beef is burnt. And I also don't kike the Sesame Chicken. U could only order the buffet when u have over 20 people.

Love it! We ordered because it was snowing and didn't want to drive to the store on slick roads. Service was fast and friendly despite the bad weather. We ordered the chicken curry, cashew chicken, broccoli and vegetables, vegetable lo mein, and krab rangoon. The chicken curry was very spicy and flavorful and had a lot of vegetables like peppers, carrots, onions, water chestnuts, and corn which were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. I do think they should have mentioned the vegetables on the menu, as some picky eaters may not like this dish, but to us it was a pleasant surprise.The broccoli and vegetables and vegetable lo mein also exceeded expectations. Best lo mein I have ever had. The cashew chicken was a little plain and disappointing compared to the other dishes, but still good. The krab rangoon needed more filling, but was otherwise good. The white rice that comes with the main dishes was cooked perfectly. I don't think we'll be ordering pizza anytime soon!

Ordered delivery through Yelp while visiting family. It was awesome! Quick delivery, all our choices arrived hot and tasted delicous.

I have eaten here 4 or 5 times and really liked it. deliveries always good 30 minutes or so but is last Saturday's food I think gave me food poisoning. I'm sick I think it was their noodles.

On a road trip from Phoenix to Springfield IL. Stopped in Columbia MO for the night and ordered food delivery from China Moon. I ordered Hunan Beef, pork fried rice and garlic wings. The order arrived early and the food is delicious !! Oh My Gee ! The best pork fried rice I have ever had . Nice smoky flavor and just the right amount of onion crunch! The Hunan Beef has the perfect heat - - just enough to compliment the flavor and the brocolli is done to perfection-- not limp and mushy like some places serve it.. The wings were good also. Big pieces with nice flavor. Hmmm, I wonder if they would deliver to Springfield ?! Seriously - this rice !!!

Actually the best chinese food in Columbia. the lunch specials are an AMAZING deal. you get 2 meals worth of food for like $6 after tax, or one giant meal and you can slip into a food coma for the afternoon. I've placed maybe 50 orders over the past 3 years and they've only messed up my order once. I swear on all I hold dear this is not exaggeration, I just really love this place and I'm gonna miss it when I move. Do yourself a favor and try it, it's actually the best

I have to say I have had some delightful meals from this restaurant in the past, but tonight we had the worst Chinese food we have ever experienced. Absolutely without flavor or seasoning. Even the General Tsao Chicken was without spice!

Went back to give this place another try. Pulled up and a employee was outside the door smoking. Finished his cig and threw it to the ground and stomped it leaving his trash. Sorry, if they are this nasty in public how nasty will they be in the kitchen?

We went here to try the food when they first opened and we eat in. The food was finished quickly, and was very good. The dinning room was also clean but the tables we sat at were a little wobbly. We have been back to China Moon several times for a to go order and we are never disappointed.

Well I can literally say,i had a real sh*tty experience! Got my sweet and sour shrimp and there was so much breading I couldn't find the shrimp. Then when I did, I got a mouthful of sand and sh*t! They didn't devein the shrimp! when I got the shrimp and broccoli, that they gave me for my bad experience it was a whole lot of broccoli and a few shrimp! Never ordering from here again!

I have eaten here more than once and have had an average experience, however, last night I ordered sesame chicken and came home to find a dead fly in my food. Furthermore, the chicken was dry, covered in breading, and the sauce was disgusting. Sad to say, but I will be warning my friends not to eat here.

This place has over charged my credit card several times and i have now had to report them to the BBB and to American express for fraud. When you call to let them know their delivery man forged a tip or changed the amount on the receipt they do absolutely NOTHING about it. no refund, no apology nothing. the food is alright but definitely pay with cash and count your change. they do not know what they are doing with credit cards or really money at all for that matter considering i always have to tell them they didn't give me the correct amount of change when paying cash, but that is an easier fix than a card

I'm very disappointed with the food. It was horrible, not even my children ate it. And I spent $50. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

It was pretty good. But the fried rice is a really dark color, almost brown and tasted a little funky. Other than that, decent. I'll just get the white rice next time. Very nice people working and they seemed to be working hard with a lot of business on an early Friday evening. Fast and friendly.
