A Banquet of London Lunar New Year Feasts for the Year of the Rabbit

"Celebrate LNY with decadence at this Cantonese restaurant in The Dorchester. An art deco interior filled with fixtures imported from China, crisp table linen and silver-plated chopsticks provide a luxurious setting to ponder one’s hopes for a prosperous year ahead. Those feeling particularly flush can opt for “Five Blessings Descend Upon Your Home,” a dish of mixed seafood, poultry and Japanese abalone to share for £580, or the special menu running alongside the à la carte with Scottish scallop and Chinese caviar, crispy-skin chicken served with fermented bean sauce, and “red lantern’ macarons.” Lion dancers will perform on the weekend starting 21 January, with the menus running until 29 January." - Shekha Vyas

"Like stepping back into old-world Eastern elegance, this beautiful dining room serves exquisitely-executed, upscale Cantonese classics, like their whole suckling pig, which requires 24-hour notice and £150 pounds. It's a splurge but makes for a memorable meal, particularly if it's served in one of the three adjacent private rooms that seat up to 26—Ping, Pang, and Pong—or combined to seat 80. The dim sum, which is less of an investment, is also great, the seafood and veggie sides are as fresh as they come, and they've totally nailed cha siu. A meal here is best enjoyed with an expense account, but you can always hit the swanky bar for one very delicious cocktail. "

I'm not a big fan of Chinese food, but it was late and I was so hungry, so we decided to try the hotel's restaurant. Unexpectedly, we loved everything we ordered. However, we wanted sea bass, which was already sold out, so we came back again after a few days. We weren't disappointed, and everything we ordered was nice.

Traditional yet modern luxury interior and ambience, excellent quality, separate halal food menu and stellar service. We patron here loyally for under a decade now thanks to the blogger "Halal Girl About Town". From intimate birthday dinners to family celebrations, staff making every visit special for us. You can never go wrong with China Tang.

Good choice for everyone who loves Chinese food on a higher level. Duck was very delicious as was the dim sum. I would definitely come back. :)

About best Cantonese cuisine in London. There dim sum is freshly made. Service is friendly. But, the decor is very dated and the entrance is hard to find

Google
China Tang at The Dorchester is a fantastic spot for authentic Chinese cuisine in a refined yet cozy setting. The dim sum selection is outstanding, with a variety of classic and creative options, including excellent vegetarian choices. Each dish is crafted with precision, bursting with fresh flavors and delicate textures. Beyond the dim sum, the menu offers a wide array of Cantonese specialties, and the service is impeccable—attentive without being intrusive. The ambiance exudes old-world charm, making it perfect for both intimate dinners and special occasions. I’ll definitely be returning to explore more of the menu, especially the highly recommended roasted meats. A must-visit for lovers of fine Chinese cuisine in London.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Disappointing Birthday Dinner – Overrated and Overpriced I took my wife to China Tang for her birthday, expecting a special experience with top-tier food and service – unfortunately, it was anything but. The food was incredibly underwhelming. Dishes were overloaded with sugar, the noodles were bland, and honestly, I’ve had far better from my local takeaway for a fraction of the price. It’s shocking that a place with such a reputation can serve food with so little flavour or care. To make matters worse, the service was equally disappointing. A waitress cleared our plates before we were even finished eating – no awareness, no courtesy, just rushed and inattentive. For a restaurant that positions itself as premium, the experience was far from it. I’ll be sticking with Hakkasan next time – better food, better service, and actual value for money. China Tang was a total rip-off. Wouldn’t return.

Google
Underwhelming experience considering the institution that Dorchester is. Service could be improved to be more responsive to clients needs. Food was good but we found the dim sum not so extraordinary.

Google
George is the best bartender and the Kiwi Sour and Shen Yun cocktails were simply out of this world. So incredibly delicious and unique. Food = outrageously yummy and flavorful. Great music, clean bathrooms. The toilet paper was folded and everything is so thoughtfully planned out. 10/10 recommend.

Yelp
Bird nest soup... do I need to say more? If you are craving some true Asian delights, this is the place to go. Duck that is being served at your table with fragrance that will transport you to Beijing, The place is beautiful, the service is formal and perfect. They have an extensive wine list for every flavor and a menu with all the classics. My favorite restaurant in London!

Yelp
Get the duck! It's amazing!!! I can say without a doubt the best Chinese in London, plus the drinks are amazing.... Absolute 10 stars if possible

Yelp
I have dined at China Tang several times over the last decade on visits to London. This was my first post COVID and although having to adjust my expectations somewhat feel that there is work to do to get this restaurant back on track. We had a glass of champagne which was not poured at the table, seemed a little light on the bubbles and a flute three quarters full at the princely sum of twenty five pounds. A polite word with the manager led to them doubling down saying, "this is how we always do this". OK.... The food was not up to par - the chicken squab was tasteless, the prawns though were decent. I feel that whilst a challenging time for the hospitality industry it is likely better to offer a reduced menu at the highest standards than allow things to slide and hide behind the pandemic. It risks regulars moving on especially as new openings gather pace...

Annie W.

Yelp
Extremely disappointing- this dish displayed exactly how it tasted. Everything else lacked flavor of any sort.

Yelp
This place does not bring you back to the Tang dynasty, but it does bring you back in time to the early 20th century. The venue is an enthralling Chinese and art deco fusion by David Tang and is located inside The Dorchester. The stairs down to the restaurant almost give it a seductive speakeasy vibe, and the beautiful cocktail bar and Chinese artwork only add to that vibe. The restaurant is open starting from lunch, and the food is authentic Cantonese cuisine. Dim sum and other dishes are served all day from opening to closing. I had dim sum here for lunch and tried the har kau, siu mai, and congee. All were extremely tasty, though the portion sizes are on the smaller size. China Tang is authentic food in a fine dining setting, and the prices reflect the food quality and ambiance. This is not a casual dim sum cafe where people read a newspaper while enjoying their food, and dim sum carts are not pushed around here. This is a place to go for a unique experience that may be exotic or nostalgic.

Yelp
Came for my parents 40th wedding anniversary. We absolutely loved the restaurant, the service and the food. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Rudest host ever. So unaccommodating on an already existing reservation . My mom was going there at least 3 times a month and bring her guests and family . They have lost good customers

Yelp
Legit. That's all you need to know. I've had dim sum in many countries around the world, including China (of course) and this place is the real deal. A few weeks ago in New York (Hells Kitchen) I had what I thought at the time was the best dim sum outside of Shanghai or Hong Kong. But I was wrong. This is better. I had the Pork Buns, Scallops and Shumai. I ended up ordering ANOTHER dose of those pork buns because HOLY $H!T they were so good. The prices are a little steep - especially the cocktails - but they're strong and after a couple you won't care about the bill. I would have enjoyed this more in a group, as there were mostly groups at the other tables, but hey - when you travel alone at least you get to pick the restaurant without arguments!

Yelp
I am particularly grateful for the warm welcome, accommodating our very young grandchildren, changing our cutlery, cleaning and providing hot towels for cleaning our hands, providing suitable cutlery for our young grandchildren. The food was delicious and the ambience marvellous. I will come again and I will recommend China Tang to my friends. Thanks so much for making my birthday celebration memorable.

Sadia Y.

Yelp
This is our go-to restaurant for family outings. My children adore the food and the atmosphere. It's quite soothing, and the food is delicious. My 6-year-old is a foodie, and he has enjoyed every item and rated them 5*, while my 2-year-old appreciates the tranquil setting. Thank you for the wonderful service China Tang. The only suggestion I have is that you have some colouring books or something for children to keep them busy while we wait for the food.
google avatar

Yelp
@china tang, they charge 22 pounds for lobster dumplings that aren't even full lobster (think fish cakes), and for that price you should get only the real thing. Overall, the food was pretty average compared to any dim sum place, but costs 2-3 times as much as it should for the flavor. Try this other restaurant Bo Lang...way better.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was great. The staff was friendly but definitely looked over worked and tired. I wanted the "China" experience ... but it was more like Abu Dhabi inside
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing customer service, beautifully displayed delicious food with fresh ingredients. We ate series of different foods (can't recall all the names) but my favourite were definitely small dumplings and the roasted/caramelised duck -- absolutely yummy. This place is of course on the pricey side, and also quite crowded but surprisingly isn't so loud and you don't have to shout to communicate.

Yelp
The Art Deco decor is amazing at this restaurant and you must check out the gorgeous restrooms. The bar is also drop-dead gorgeous! Now about the food...I ordered the set lunch menu which was £30 for a glass of white or red wine, a basket of assorted dim sum (Har Kau, Siu Mai, Chiu Chow Dumplings, and vegetable dumpling), vegetable spring roll, tomato and egg drop soup, Hong Kong classic meat and seafood noodles, and seasonal greens (Bok Choi) with oyster sauce. I was really impressed with the Hong Kong noodles that where loaded of perfectly prepared scallops, shrimp, and lobster. (I am craving some at this moment!) I wasn't overly impressed with the dim sum nor the service. I specifically asked for no green onions, which the waitress repeated back, yet I received the soup with green onions. When the waiter finally acknowledged me, it took about twenty minutes to get a cup of soup and the restaurant was not busy. For being located in the Dorchester Hotel and for the price, I was expecting amazing, attentive service. There was a sufficient wait staff but they mainly stood around the room. I should not have to sit at the table with empty dishes and wait for the next course (especially for the fixed-priced lunch.) Also, there where a lot of kids at this restaurant and they where loud in the dining room. Reservations advised. www.chinatanglondon.co.uk

Yelp
China Tang is the only Chinese restaurant in London that comes close to the Chinese restaurants back home, in LA, OC, and San Diego. The two-course Peking duck dish was well done. The chilli prawns was ordinary but the braised pork belly with fermented vegetables made up for it twice over. The pork belly dish was well seasoned, smoky with intense flavour and aroma. The noodle dish was just ok but the fried rice was a good companion to the salty dishes. Other things of note: The wine list is extensive. The bar area is great. The decor is interestingly sparkly. It is dressy and pricey but if you want Chinese food at the Dorchester, you know what you're getting into. I imagine they do dim sum pretty well here.
google avatar

Paul C.

Yelp
Some of the best Chinese food in London. Great location, at the back of the Dorchester Hotel, and the restaurant bar is a good place to start the evening. Sure, you'll pay a lot for the food and drink here, but it's worth it. The duck and the beef were the two highlights, and a good selection of wine. You can easily spend £100-150 per person so be prepared. Certainly recommend for special occasions.

Yelp
Truly unimpressed by China Tang. We were considering having a work party at China Tang so we went for a tasting and man am I glad we had a test run before booking the event here. The food was at best mediocre. Certainly nothing stands out in my mind (except for the truly disappointing and deeply upsetting pork buns) and absolutely nothing came close to knocking my socks off. It felt like Chinese food that you could get anywhere and was certainly not quality, unique Chinese food to match the exorbitant prices. The wine list was also shockingly expensive. Of course I understand this restaurant is in the Dorchester and most clientele are probably less price sensitive, but with the cheapest bottle costing around 60 pounds, I was disgruntled needless to say. I'd also note the service was abysmal. You would think that given we were considering booking a large event at this venue we might receive an exceptional level of service (if only to secure the booking), but we were ignored all night and struggled to flag anyone's attention. I'd never return to China Tang on my own dime let alone on my company's dime. Be warned!

Yelp
First off let me just say that the food deserves 4 stars, but there is a reason that I'm giving this just 3 stars. The service isn't very good at all. I expected so much more from the Dorchester. At an upscale restaurant you normally get service as if you were their only customer. The staff is attentive and affectionate. Always at your beck and call. Well at China Tang they treated us as if we weren't there, as if we weren't special, and as if we were invisible. In fact the only time they really paid attention to us was when they brought us our food. We had to ask to have our wine and water poured instead of them always making sure that our glass was full, and even to order we had to hunt a waiter down. Ridiculous! But like I said before, the food was delicious! So I can't complain about that. I would recommend only for the quality of the food, but as for the service, I won't be back.
google avatar

Amy A.

Yelp
really dressy for a chinese restaurant but appreciated the menu. duck was actually really good, scallops were fresh, prawns had a nice lightly peppered crispy coat. GREAT wine list. was it knock my socks off like food in beijing or shanghai? probably not. and in truth, i prefer a more homestyle experience when it comes to chinese food. so all in all, china tang is a fantastic restaurant for a dress-up chinese meal.

Yelp
China Tang is located in the Dorchester Hotel in Mayfair, London. We reside in Toronto, Ontario, in Canada and we have been eating at China Tang for the past three years when we are visiting London. In the past the food and service were both great. Today, however, we noticed a considerable change in the food. We ordered our usual items; Shrimp Dumplings and Spring Rolls for appetizers, Crispy Chicken, Sichuan Prawns, Beef with Pepper, and Crispy noodles with vegetables for our main dishes. With the exception of the appetizers, and our bottle of Domaine Wachau our food was terrible. The presentation was unappetizing, all of our food arrived at the same time, and the quality and flavour were poor. To make matters worse I still have an upset stomach several hours later. We are very disappointed that the quality of service and food have changed so significantly.

Chelsie G.

Yelp
I absolutely loved my experience at China Tangs this week! Everything from atmosphere, food, drive, and presentation was spot on. I enjoyed a luncheon dim sum with my two children, ages 9 and 7, along with drinks and one of the best dairy free desserts I've ever had in my life. Do not hesitate to bring well behaved, well palette-d children--they will enjoy it. Really remarkable meal. I highly recommend going at lunch as it's a bit quieter and you can enjoy all the unobstructed art.

Yelp
This restaurant may be in a hotel and the food more expensive than your average Chinatown haunt but the atmosphere and the service alone is worth the added premium. I do think it's important to order right from the menu - some are a hit (having lived in HK for 2.5 years - I can say I have developed a somewhat discerning tongue for elevated southern Chinese cuisine) while others may be more of a miss. Dim sum - loved the scallop dumpling and the chiu chow dumpling (that crunchy goodness I can eat forever) for mains we shared a two course Peking duck between two people - very satisfying (speaking for everyone when you had to share a duck among too many people and only got a snack when you wanted the whole meal) and then additional sides of Chinese cabbage in chili vinegar (must - very authentic if you like that spicy sour taste) salted fish fried rice and the fried bean curd - latter two were disappointing. For the dessert we had the sago pudding which I would have preferred the fruit accents to be all mango rather than melon., mango and pomegranate - not all of those flavors need to be in there with the coconut sago. All In all this was a great dining experience and my return to Asian food in London and a really great first one. Excited to try out the other Asian offerings in the city

Yelp
GRIM. From the moment we walked in to the time we left, I cannot describe quite how disappointed we were. First impressions: not the fun crowd we had expected. The seats were far too close together and very uncomfortable. My wife needed two additional cushions other guests just sat perched, unable to lean back! Oh, and no nibbles were served with our drinks. The food was undeniably good. But not exceptional. The most shocking part of our experience was that we asked for Peking duck to start with, an interim course of steamed fish and some rice, followed by peppered beef, a second duck dish, with a couple of vegetable dishes (asparagus, bean curd). After the Peking duck, sure enough they brought the steamed fish. But they brought the beef too. Not wanting to make a scene at that stage, we simply asked the waiter to leave some time before bringing the remainder of the dishes. They still proceeded to bring ALL the other food too. So we spoke to the supervisor who was passing by. I still cannot believe that she offered either to put lids on some of the dishes while we ate the fish or to take the food away and keep it warm for us! We asked to speak with the manager and insisted the dishes were removed and freshly prepared food served to us later. I would expect the average local Chinese restaurant not to serve two diners six carefully prepared (and expensive) dishes simultaneously (on a small table in an air-conditioned room), without checking that this was indeed how they wished the food to arrive. When customers have clearly requested otherwise, this is unforgivable. And when the error is pointed out, the solution should be swift and appropriate. We left feeling completely ripped-off. I have eaten and entertained at Hakkasan countless times and have always left satisfied. If you're looking for somewhere more intimate, try Hunan.

Honest M.

Yelp
Ain't cheap -- And sometimes staff distracted by folks with more money -- But all in all these boys know how to cook --tried over two visits a dozen + dishes and everyone was excellent -- wine list is OK but they make the best cocktails in town
google avatar

Sandy S.

Yelp
We go often to this beautifully decorated restaurant in the basement of the Dorchester. It's like stepping back in time to an extraordinarily elegant period of China's history. More importantly the food is the best Chinese food in London, the Peking duck is perfect! The service is extremely professional . It's always a great place for office Christmas parties which we have done many times and I've even had a birthday party in the private room. We are fans, but only because it's a fabulous place to treat yourself!

Sanskriti M.

Yelp
Best Chinese food in London! Great staff and ambiance. Favorite dish is the lamb and sweet and sour chicken. And chocolate dumplings. Also great to sit in the bar

Bruce P.

Yelp
The service was very good, the food mediocre. Who serves Peking Duck that isn't remotely warm? The vegetable dish was no better than take away. A big decline from when we we last there, three years ago.

Yelp
China Tang was a disappointing experience. I have been to the Dorchester before and have been very impressed by their level of service. That is why the lunch i had here, at the Chinese restaurant at Dorchester, was a let-down. We opted for the set lunch. On the face of it, the offer was very attractive. Two dim-sum baskets, one plate of rice noodles (chicken, pork or vegetables) and a drink (wine, jasmine tea or tsing tao, a chinese beer) for only £15. The dim-sums were good ... and we got a good variety since it was a mixed basket. Then we got the noodles. On asking for the second basket of dim-sums they gave us the most outrageous of excuses. They said that its mentioned as two baskets because the menu was for a minimum of 2 people. It wasn't mentioned anywhere that the set-lunch was for at-least 2 people. Even if it were, the menu is supposed to be per-person right ? Especially since the other courses and the prices are like that. Such an obvious deceit was not expected at the Dorchester. The pork noodles that i got was very good, with a lot of gravy. The chicken that my friend got was crispy, but equally good. But the portions were small ... much like starter portions. Combined with two baskets of dim-sums, it would have been a proper, filling meal. But sadly that was not what we got. The good food and the stunning decor makes me want to come back again. But i strongly recommend anyone dining here to research the offers carefully beforehand.

Matthew M.

Yelp
One of the best peking ducks I have ever had. Chef Ringo does his duck just like they have been doing it for thousands of years. The setting is also opulent just like the hotel. Yes, this is pricey Chinese food, but worth every penny. The also make a mean Gin and Tonic.
google avatar

Adam E.

Yelp
The food is good but not world class. The location and the rooms however is. Go there to it will but sense the life of luxury and decadence! We had the meat mix, spareribs and noodle with a nice medium priced wine. But the waiter was highly attentive to our needs and the bar before the food had the good old classy atmosphere you can't buy.

Anne R.

Yelp
China Tang came highly recommended from a Londoner. We came expecting opulence beyond belief, and service second to none. Our experience left us questioning this particular adviser's judgment. The setting and ambiance were very nice, though not spectacular. The service was nothing to rave about. Our food was delivered at odd intervals and twice we had to ask the waiter where our ordered drinks were. Though, I cannot deny the food was delicious. The Stir-Fried Beef in Black Pepper was prepared to a T. The Snow Pea Shoots and Albacore Fried Rice were also scrumptious. Many of the fruits on the Exotic Fruit Plate were good, however one melon was not ripe enough. Will not be returning, bottom line - overpriced.

Robin S.

Yelp
Please don't hate me for this - but I really like China Tang. Yes, it's a shameless spot for celebrity-hunting and ludicrously expensive, and yes, it's just Chinese food, but people throw their money at Hakkasan too (which isn't THAT creative, despite its Michelin star). The problem is that China Tang is "classic Cantonese", so really it's the food you and I think we know as Chinese takeaway. But the setting... gorgeously ostentatious and shockingly not pretentious. There's no glam factor or clubby music - it's just people enjoying dinner. And it's a lot, lot better than your average Chinese takeaway... just as an example, the stir-fried beef with peppers, the pork belly and the simple chicken in lemon sauce were all phenomenal. Obviously, this is not a place that most people can afford to make their "regular", but it's worthy of a special occasion if you go with an open mind (and make time for a drink in the adjacent bar downstairs - much better than the Dorchester's main bar).
google avatar

Tony G.

Yelp
Very good chinese food. An utterly beautiful restaraunt, very good service, beautiful food. Highly recommended place for a chinese meal.

Bryan C.

Yelp
The service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. The food was nothing to write home about though. I started out with the Double mushroom soup which was good, but not excellent. The pepper beef, which was recommended to me, was cooked perfectly but the flavor was bland except for the overwhelming taste of pepper (i like pepper but i also wanted to taste the beef). The warm chocolate pudding dessert was good but it was just a a gooey chocolate lava cake , and i've made this at home before and it's just as good. Lastly the Mohito tasted a bit like a sugary Robitussen. If you want to go to a place that has incredible service, and overpriced food and drink, this is the place. Otherwise, you can find something tastier a couple of miles away in ChinaTown next to Leicester Square
google avatar

Yelp
This got great reviews, but our experience was one of mediocre food, inattentive wait staff, loud, noisy and forgotten orders. Completely unimpressive.

Yelp
Loved China Tang! The Dorchester is a great destination to begin with. I love the bar, the lobby is gorgeous, the clientele are outrageously wealthy and interesting, it's just one of those amazing destinations. China Tang was amazing. The decor was really cool, kind of art deco Asian. Of course, the people watching was top notch. The food was AMAZING. I had some veggie eggroll shaped dumplings which I believe had snow pea greens inside...they were perfectly cooked and crunchy, fresh and delicious. There's a whole dimsum menu full of that kind of option. We ordered some vegetable dishes, seafood and I think a chicken or duck dish. It was all amazing, just sublime. Looking at the other tables' choices, I saw all kinds of things I wished I had room to eat. I cannot wait to go back. It's delicious and authentic enough without being bizarre, sexy, enjoyable and special. We decided to drink a dessert in the form of a fancy martini at the Dorchester bar instead of ordering one at China Tang, a highly recommended example to follow. That bar has killer service, beautiful decor and great drinks.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and decor, just above average food, long pricey wine list. The bar was the highlight, perfect for a quiet drink on a Saturday evening. Will definitely visit again.

Yelp
Average & unspectacular. At these prices, one would not expect normal food and a less than stellar restaurant - a basement location with low ceilings and cramped seating with inconsistent service. You are MUCH better off going to Hakkasan if you are looking for upscale chinese. A few other reviews on other websites talk about the great 1930's style decorumm, the decor is awful hotel stylings with the pub/casino carpeting. The food is decent, but again you can get much better food at better prices in Chinatown, or in a better environment in Hakkasan. Utterly unimpressed

Yelp
I think going at 9:30 pm on a Sunday isn't going to yield to best results. YMMV but I wasn't impressed by the food or presentation.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about this place. Amazing bartenders and excellent people watching. Celebrities stop in from time to time and the bathroom is my favorite in all of London.

Yelp
This is my favourite venue for dinner and drinks although it is very expensive. Great cocktails, great service, great people watching.

Qype User (ts_c…)

Yelp
Service excellent and very friendly. Dumplings very good (particularly the Shanghai one 10/10). Crispy Peking Duck with pancakes okay, but not more than 6 out of 10. Seating not very comfortable. Lemon chicken 3 out of 10. Peppered beef 9 out of 10. In general it was okay, but nothing special, I will definitely not return as I expect more for this level of pricing.

Laura H.

Yelp
This was a new one for me - and a very posh and yup plush one! It is a fancy upscale Chinese restaurant and bar located downstairs in The Dorchester (swish!). Fantastic, eclectic crowd, you will get to see a lot of crazy rich looking people and perhaps even a celebrity or two. Very good duck and cocktail selection. Just only go if you're feeling particularly flush as boy is it pricey!

Brett C.

Yelp
No1 for atmosphere, food is good and service attentive - providing you are not there on a busy night. Princess Garden just has the edge in food terms, but you can try them both and compare

Eric R.

Yelp
If you look around London, you will find so many oriental cuisine restaurant, but this is The London's Chinese restaurant. Is been in The Dorchester Hotel for so many years, is actually the oldest restaurant inside this marvelous Luxury hotel and looks like, they will stay here for ever. I'm going there for a dinner almost twice per month. The food is very tasty and well made, the winelist, is absolutely one of the best in town. I'm a master of wine and i have to say that the sommelier team here make the difference. They are very knowledgeable people always able to surprise me with outstanding pairing. I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
This has to officially be the worst dining experience I have had to date, and perhaps the worst Asian cuisine I have eaten, even when compared to late night take aways after a student night out. I went there with a number of guests, we booked a restaurant table but they were not ready when we arrived so they seated us in the bar while we waited. They then forgot all together that we had booked a table in the restaurant, took our orders and even began to serve us our starters while still in the bar. When we told them about their error, they were not in the slightest bit polite, instead they were rude beyond belief. they sat us down at a table and no sooner had we all sat down did they tell us we were sitting at the wrong table and needed to move. Not the slightest hint of a please or a sorry. When we were served our starters which was supposed to be a selection of different dumplings to share, we were served each plate of 4 dumplings at 10 minute intervals so we were starving during the 50 minute ordeal. Then we made the huge mistake of ordering duck cooked 2 ways, first serving of duck with pancakes was fine, but second serving of tiny flecks of duck in greasy overcooked noodles was a disaster. We were not made to feel welcome by the staff, the food was not up to standard, and it left a large hole in our wallets. I would not recommend a visit.
