friendly greeting! we love choices! when Linda mentioned I may omit a veggie from the veggie plate 😋 Linda is quick in taking our order & bringing our order. we recommend the pu pu platter for fun! it arrives with its own mini grill. we also recommend sauteed wonderful chicken & green jade shrimp, thank you taxi service for recommending this gem that has been in Colorado Springs for 43 years. we'll definitely be back. China Village we're a bit fussy please dust the lights next to the tables & inside the bathroom, the walls are dusty. ❤️ the upgraded bathroom sinks, etc. wishing you busy prosperous years ahead

This place is a hidden gem of a Chinese restaurant in Colorado Springs. The atmosphere is awesome and the decor is amazing inside the place. It doesn't lack in flavor on its food either, I've been twice and loved everything I ordered. I'll be going back again and making this a regular on my list. If you're in the area and you want great Chinese food, go here you won't be disappointed!

Google
China Village is a fantastic local Chinese restaurant that exceeded my expectations. A wonderful staff from front to greet and serve you to the back preparing wonderful dishes. We had questions about a delicious vegetable in our cashew chicken and were greeted with a delightful conversation by our knowledgeable waitress and learned a lot more about the vegetables used in their dishes. This family style meal service along with the beautifully serene surroundings made this a wonderful experience. The bathrooms were just as inviting as the dining area. Big bathroom fully stocked and clean with a beautiful decor. If your looking for a wonderful local Chinese restaurant go to China Village!

I was sadly disappointed, I had high hopes after the soup which was very good, my eggroll was under cooked and my chicken was overcooked also my fried rice was stale and overcooked

Update: we went to eat inside for the first time, the chicken was as good as the first time but the dumplings were absolutely nasty. They were cold and mushy, the pork inside was hard and bad. They tasted like they were cooked a long time before we ordered and then maybe put them in the microwave for 30 seconds. Order them at your own risk. Never judge a book by its cover. This was the best Chinese food I've ever had. The restaurant outside doesn't look that great, but, OMG, the inside is beautiful and the food is even better. We ordered takeout 30 minutes before closing, the lady on the phone was really helpful and kind. They had the food ready in 15 minutes and it was still steaming hot when we arrived back home. The Sesame Chicken was the absolute best! So tasty and with a nice crunch and the portion was huge! The General Tso's was also good and it came with steamed rice. We can't wait to get food from here again, we will probably eat inside next time. I recommend trying it and you'll never change restaurants.

Google
They really need to update their website. They have new owners and everything has changed for the worse. Yet their website still has all the old dishes and hours. They can’t even make half of the entrees from the old china village. Such a shame as this used to be the best spot in town

Google
My favorite place. I get food from there at least twice a week. Great customer service. We always have the same waitress when we dine in and she's on top of it. No waiting, very polite. When I call my order in again there's another really nice lady that's always at the register. Same thing really nice. They call me by my name. I always order the (4) beef on a stick. Which is one of my favorites. I'm the picture there's only 2. I got hungry and didn't want to take the picture. If you've never been here I suggest you try it. Especially if you like good Chinese. I go out to eat alot. This place is in my top 3 for Colorado Springs

Google
It's Americanized Chinese food but it's very good. Prices are very reasonable. Portions are good size... Enough for 2-4 people. Food tasted really good... A little salty so if that bothers you, ask for less salt. Was surprised at the looks of green onion pancakes, a traditional dish... It was not made the traditional way but was still surprisingly good and with less oil. The appetizers came out fast but we had to wait a while to get our dinner... It was rush hour so no deductions for that. The restaurant is clean and bathroom is clean and well maintained. The host, I'm assuming the owner, was very pleasant and friendly and accommodating. We were a party a 5 so they automatically added a 20% tip (which was clearly marked)... Just heads up.

Yelp
I placed a order for pickup tonight since the new owners just opened back up. I ordered the Kung Pau beef and my wife ordered the sweet and sour chicken, she said her chicken was very good and was pleased, however my Kung Pau beef was rather bland, not enough spice and virtually no peppers, but yet it's listed as a spicy dish. I've had the same dish with the previous owners for several years and it was a spicy dish. definatly room for improvement. The staff (Jason) was very friendly and ready to accommodate and had a great personality. Hopefully my Kung Pau beef will be back to it's old self again. Oh and now the egg rolls have meat in them.... nice!! I'll still go back there again, thanks China Village for still being there. Ken!

Yelp
Great service, great food!! We have been driving across town to eat at China Village for years!

Lynn L.

Yelp
First time back since the new ownership. VERY DISAPPOINTED! They changed the sesame beef, which is now dry and nasty just like all other Chinese restaurants serve. We live about 40 minutes away from this place and it was our go-to when we wanted Chinese. This place used to be special and have great food, now, it's just like all the other crap around town. NOT IMPRESSED!! Won't travel the 40 minutes for it again.

Yelp
When are you going to reopen? I know y'all needed renovations, but I miss your food. I would be crushed if you never reopened. BTW best egg drop soup anywhere.
google avatar

Christopher C.

Yelp
I'm a fan of this type of Chinese food-- it's oily, it's cheap, and it's familiar. The sesame chicken is crispy and sweet, the shrimp lo mein is greasy and familiar, the combination fried rice is solid, and the Mongolian beef is salty. The service is very sweet. Do not be swayed by its sketchy exterior! Cheers!

Pamela F.

Yelp
My Mother's day dinner was at our favorite Chinese restaurant. Our server is always gracious and helpful. Today as most holiday was busy. We had a reservation and were seated on the quiet side when we arrived at 5:30. The dinner was leisurely served with notice. It was perfect. We agreed we were back in Paris. Where a course is served one at a time. It was ONE of our better experience while dinning in COS. LOW VOICES, no ambient sound above the inability to hear each other in conversation. Our service and food on point.

Yelp
Been coming here over 10 years. Can't believe that the food has gotten so BAD. I've done previous review praising this establishment. It's all gone. Ordered to go, sesame chicken, sweet/sour chicken and veggies low mien with egg rolls. Picked up order within 30 minutes. That's good. The staff were courteous and polite. That's good. The chicken for both dishes was awful. I've never (and I mean NEVER) had chicken so bad. It was leather for both. At least they were consistent. What surprises me, I didn't get sick. Yes it was that bad! I normally give restaurants 2 chances but because I've gone here for over ten years I gave them 3 chances. This was the third time. Three strikes and you're out! Without a doubt I'm done and so should you! Skip this place.

Yelp
My meal was ok, average, but wow, my friend was disgusted by his. He ate about a quarter of his, said he bit into something really terrible tasting, looked really pale threw up in the bathroom. That was a first to witness... It made us wonder if the food was clean in that dish, or fresh. It was pork and another meat which was going bad or who knows what...
google avatar

Billy M.

Yelp
Best sesame chicken. Crispy. Delicious. Not too spicy (unless you want spicy). This review needs more characters.

Joe G.

Yelp
The staff that runs this place are very friendly and accommodating. The food is very fresh and prepared very fast. The service is great. The food is great and the atmosphere is very nice.

Shamus R.

Yelp
Food was not good chicken did not taste good only good thing was egg soup soy sauce taste bad too

C C.

Yelp
This is our number one Chinese restaurant in Colorado Springs. Our family favorites are Sesame Chicken, Mongolian beef, Beef and Broccoli, Combination Lo Mein, Moo Shu Shrimp and Lemon Chicken. The servers are attentive and efficient. The prices are reasonable, especially for what you receive. The atmosphere is comfortable too. We highly recommend China Village.

Janet R.

Yelp
Food was delicious and the servers were so polite. It was clean! Beer was cold and we loved sitting around a large round table!

Hunter L.

Yelp
Honestly very disappointed. Nothing tastes remotely close to what the dish is supposed to be. Just expect a plate of salt with 0 flavor.

Yelp
I have been going to China Village for over 20 years. I love the food, service and ambiance. However, I had lunch with my brother today (a Sunday) and it was so bad. The food and service were terrible. I usually go during the week and never an issue. I ordered the Sesame Sprimp as usual. It had a bad burnt flavor, the shrimp was dry and the coating was extremely hard, hard. I ordered a bloody mary that was to spicy for me after one sip. I voiced my dislike and asked them to take it away after requesting for them to add some tomatoe juice, which they did not have. They asked if I would like pinapple juice, ewk. Not sure if they condisder pinapple juice a substitute for tomatoe juice, so just stuck with hot tea. Upon time to pay the bill I questioned the charge for the cocktail and asked them to remove from the check. They refused. I really do not like giving this bad review but it is warrented. I will however, give them one more try during the week with my regular server and give the food one more chance. VERY DISAPPOINTING, UHG!!!

Yelp
Always awesome!! Can be busy so plan accordingly - well worth it!! Family run Definitely a value play too - not expensive

Yelp
The food is always good at China Village. sometimes even the presentation looks gourmet. Never had a bad meal. The service is always great. The restaurant south is quite adorned and Asian. Not too tacky but pretty what the booths need to be replaced. They are absolutely the worst and they are so uncomfortable. the sink in the middle from so many other customers over the years. But it's a great Chinese, have plenty of parking and a convenient location. over the last couple years, the servers and owners whoever owns it works at manages, etc. remembers me and always talks to me and they like that I recommend them and I bring people there. They get a lot of to go orders too. They're always busy. Even if the restaurant is not full, they're doing to go orders. That's a good sign to me!
google avatar

Monique W.

Yelp
My family's favorite Chinese restaurant for over 30 years. Consistently good food and an awesome staff. You won't be disappointed!

Vanessa C.

Yelp
The food is very bland and the portions are very small. I would not recommend eating here at all. The "orange chicken" should be called grilled chicken and veggies. DON'T EAT HERE
google avatar

Chad B.

Yelp
I haven't been to this place in close to 20 years. Nice ambiance, considering the age and location. They've kept the place decent looking. We ordered the General Tso's Chicken and the Sesame Chicken off the house special menu. Both looked great! Taste of the Tso's was a bit bland. The Sesame Chicken was more memorable. Unfortunately, both had more breading, and less meat, than you get a typical Chinese joint. Service was great. I'll go back and try a different dish.
google avatar

Kristi H.

Yelp
We ordered to-go and was kind of disappointed... the portion sizes were very tiny! We also ordered crab rangoons and those were tiny too! You could eat those two bites... the two dishes that we ordered were broccoli pineapple and a trio dish. On the menu, broccoli pineapple was noted to be spicy... it wasn't spicy. The dishes also came with white rice. Overall, 2/5. We spent $40 when we could've gotten double the food at Panda Express, and it would've tasted the same AND it would've been 1/2 the price.

Yelp
I really don't like leaving negative reviews. I mean I really really don't like it. But when I was ordering for delivery, it sounded like a massive argument between everyone in the restaurant. Four minutes later, I make the order. Also, lemon chicken is cooked with Panko. It's not the same as sweet-and-sour chicken. Please figure that out. Also, fried rice, usually has vegetables in it. This chicken was translucent. Zero spices. No vegetables except for tiny bit of onion. I didn't eat this. The crab Rangoon was burnt to a crisp. The cheese inside was dried up. Such a bummer.

Gary B.

Yelp
Always EXCELLENT! I enjoyed the Seafood Delight, my wife the Kung Pao Chicken and my neighbor enjoyed the Sesame Chicken. Had delivery. It was hot and Outstanding!!!

Michael J.

Yelp
Orgasmic. This place will rock your socks. My wife and I found this place and wow very authentic. Must try

Lil F.

Yelp
great service even tho there's always only one person up front she's always responsive and efficient now the food, the food is something else! always steaming hot and full to the brim great prices too for this current economy if you are in a pinch and you looking for something cheap and delicious definitely go to china village if I could eat their food every day I would!
google avatar

Barbara W.

Yelp
Great for lunch take out! And they have the comfy atmosphere of older Chinese restaurants, not like the bland newer ones in strip malls. Prices are reasonable, too.
google avatar

Pam S.

Yelp
My husband and I visited China Village on the recommendation of a friend and we were not disappointed. I didn't take pictures of everything but we had hot & sour soup, beef egg rolls, vegetable egg rolls, shrimp lo mein and general chicken. The hot & sour soup was just OK, but we're pretty picky when it comes to this type of soup so that didn't surprise us. The beef egg rolls were much better than the vegetable egg rolls because the wrapper was different. The vegetable was listed as an egg roll but it was more like a spring roll. I'd definitely order the beef rolls again. The shrimp lo mein and general chicken were some of the best we've ever had. We'll definitely be back!

Richard G.

Yelp
Best sesame chicken I have ever ever had, and the hot and sour soup. Oh my goodness I can't believe how good it is.

G. J. L.

Yelp
I have been a customer for over 20 years. They had a fire some years ago and it seems like they never recovered. Anything I chose from the menu was fresh - onions, mushrooms, garlic, peppers - all freshly sliced. Not anymore. The food is bland, sesame chicken is always dry and tough, same with cubed beef, mushrooms are canned and onions wilted. They have only one nice hostess that is English speaking, every one else is rude and angry. The prices are good for a quality meal, not artificially prepared pre-packaged stuff they offer. They once had the best hot and sour soup in the Springs, not anymore. I will not spend $32.00 on two small bland entrees again Just sad.

Vere S.

Yelp
Delicious Chinese food! Haven't had such delicious fried rice in ages! Best Chinese food I've ate.
google avatar

Jay S.

Yelp
I came second time for lunch. I wanted to try the Mongolian beef because of Yelpers recommendations here. It was very good and not spicy as I expected. I have never had Mongolian beef before; so I cannot compare it to other restaurants. I would certainly order it again.

Rocky M.

Yelp
We former New Yorkers love our Chinese food and this is our go-to source in the Springs.

Ron S.

Yelp
Been eating here since the 80's and I have to say that after traveling the United States for work for years, they still have my favorite egg rolls. The spare ribs are also to die for!
google avatar

Brigid M.

Yelp
DO NOT eat here. Everyone is friendly but the food is outrageously horrendous. I ordered the spare rib appetizer and the ribs were old, very old, completely over cooked, inedible. How can a Chinese restaurant get spare ribs wrong? Because they don't care what they throw on a dish and put in front of you. The chicken wing appetizer wasn't much better. So dried out, I had to request a dipping sauce to salvage them. Never will I go there again and you shouldn't either.
google avatar

Paul S.

Yelp
We went based on recommendation from friends who once lived in Colorado Springs and we were amazed out how great this place is! Firstly, the hot and sour soup was perfection. Not too spicy and not too sour. The best I have ever had. For entrees, we had H2 Sesame Steak Cubes, #25 Twice cooked pork, and H17 Sesame Chicken. We ate family style and the three of us could not come up with a favorite. Each one was a little bit of greatness. The service was a little on the slower side due to a high volume of take out orders and a large party in another room, however, it was more than worth the wait. The server was friendly, polite and efficient. The best part was when the bill came. It was under $40 for the three of us and we were all stuffed and extremely happy. I look forward to my return to the area. China Village will be my first stop and possibly my final stop during my stay.
google avatar

Rj R.

Yelp
Probably the worst food you will ever eat, the sesame chicken was over cooked and not spicy at all. Plus you will not get a choice to get better food and you still have to pay for the dish. The waiter never came to check on us to see if we were good and the manager was uncompromising with refund. I strongly suggest another place, worst experience ever.
google avatar

Heather M.

Yelp
China Village was extraordinary! Don't let the outside of the building scare you. The food, staff and service were amazing. I got the Sesame Chicken and my Husband for the 3 meat combo This will definitely be our new "GO TO" Chinese food place!

Maggie S.

Yelp
my favorite Chinese for 30 years! Employees are so kind, some have been the entire time. I brought my babies and now my grandbaby!!
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
Terrible musty smell throughout the restaurant. We had high hopes trying here for the first time. Our server had 4 tables and was so stressed and kept complaining. I got the birds nest and the chicken had so much gristle, I couldn't eat it. I received the wrong soup, told our server and instead of bringing it immediately she worried about bussing dirty tables and brought my soup at the same time as my entree. My husband got the duck and most of it was lukewarm like it had been microwaved. No body ever checked on us to see how the food was. We barely ate anything. We told the owner and she didn't care and only took $10 off. Our bill was $50 and we didn't eat anything!!! We will never go back!
google avatar

Makari W.

Yelp
Everything is always delicious especially the sesame chicken. The inside has a really cool vibe! 10/10 would come again.

Dave K.

Yelp
The food was barely passible and while adequate the portions were smaller than the usual Chinese offerings I get. $30 for 2. The bathroom was pretty dirty which I take means the kitchen probably is too. The atmosphere was a dark cave and the whole place needs a refurb. Probably won't go back.
google avatar

Monica D.

Yelp
This is an awesome, funky Chinese restaurant. They serve great food and it's priced just right. The hot and sour soup is particularly excellent. General's Chicken and the Sesame Chicken are noteworthy items. I love the staff and the service is top notch and very friendly.

Kelli V.

Yelp
Have been coming here with my family to celebrate births, birthdays, graduations, and just dinner for over 25 years. Have never had a bad meal. Service is always great. The owners and staff remember us every time we come in. Have recommended many times over the years to co-workers and friends.
google avatar

Karina C.

Yelp
Came here per a recommendation since I work in the area. Ordered take out and they were very fast and super friendly. Ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and an order of egg rolls. I was a disappointed with the Kung pao as it had no spice and lacked some flavor.. friend rice had a lot of egg so tasted that for sure but the egg roll were soo good! I'll try again maybe ask them to add spice or try something else.

Lois F.

Yelp
This was the worst meal I have ever had. The rice was over cooked no flavor , fried rice peas still frozen. There was no taste to the meal. Shrimp was over cooked hard no flavor to the mixed rice. Rogun asked for cream cheese ended up with crab and cream cheese, kids couldn't eat it. Took order back nothing we can do and no refund. Very rude no customer service. Never again could have put my kid in the hospital. Very Unhappy
google avatar

Kylie B.

Yelp
Ordered general's Chicken. It was bland and chewy and GROSS. Asked the server if I could swap it out. Owner said "it's the way we make it here. You don't like it it's not our problem. No refunds. No exchanges. It's your fault for not liking it." What a fu**ing joke. The restaurant itself was dirty and rundown. The food was bad. The service was horrendous. I have no idea why anyone would ever come here. Honestly Panda Express tastes better. That's how bad this place was. Talking to the waiter/cashier who worked there they all had the same "sorry but I have no control" look and tone when talking to me. The owner is a greedy power hungry woman with no regard for her customers. I'll never go back.

Tia G.

Yelp
We went for our first time tonight. We wanted to go out to eat instead of delivery! Customer service was GREAT, food was hot, neat atmosphere, temp checks upon entering, clean bathrooms and GREAT FOOD! Everything sounded so good and everything we got was perfect! Highly recommend. Didn't get a picture of everything, but these are the main dishes we got.
google avatar

Yohan S.

Yelp
Food portion is kinda small, but priced as such. Tasted good. However, in a mandatory quarantine where everything is a take out or delivery, those plastic utensils should be a must. They left those out. and napkins. In a corona quarantine, this is kind of crazy to neglect - all you're doing is prepare take out orders.

C K.

Yelp
Absolutely not. we ordered chow mein and got this weird slimy soupy garbage disposal looking bean sprout soup (see attached photo). And their general tso is most likely frozen, microwaved food. Not a good quality Chinese restaurant. Highly not recommended
