When I think of a small hole in the wall Chinese place, this is what I want. Barely enough room to have dine-in tables, the staff barely speaks English, low price while not compromising food quality or quantity. This is the experience I’m looking for. Aside from that….I can not get over the cook snorting up loogies, sneezing, coughing it the fact that one of them went outside to smoke, then returned to cook without washing his hands. The food itself was delicious and hot. I wouldn’t say it’s fresh as there’s literally a pile of egg rolls and chicken that has been pre-fried next to the register where the customer can see. I would return

UPDATE: (1/31/24) I visited the place again with my husband and we were both very happy with the food and service. I’ve added two more pictures of the food we ordered. I received a flyer from this place and decided to try it out. I ordered from the lunch special and I must say I was extremely pleased! I wasn’t expecting so much for only $8.75! Wow! Not only that, the food was delicious. I chose a hot & sour soup with my lunch special instead of a soda. The soup was really good! I’ll definitely be going again. 🙂

Google
Great service, but the spicy orange chicken was NASTY, I really wanted to like it, but it tasted completely rotten. The rice was yummy, but that was about it. I am very disappointed in how the food tasted. The atmosphere was cute in a cheap chinese restaurant kinda way. Had 3 table but that was it.

Stopped in last night with a friend. We both ordered the House Special fried rice (has beef, chicken, and shrimp - only $10.95!!). When I say it was the best fried rice we’ve ever had, I am not exaggerating! Before you move on to another review, I want you to know that we have never had fried rice with more delicious meat in it than what we got at China Wok!! Literally meat in just about every bite. The portions HUGE!! We were both starving, ate until we were stuffed, and still both took enough home (basically half) to enjoy it for another meal today. We also got an egg roll each and they were extremely freshly cooked. I asked if they had any homemade hot mustard and the gentleman there gave me two biiiig cups of the best, strongest hot mustard we’ve ever had! It was great! We dined in and enjoyed that very much. It’s very cozy, with only maybe 4 tables? The tables are stocked with chili oil, sriracha, soy sauce, and the staff will move quickly if you need anything else. So happy we stopped in, and look forward to eating there again soon! Keep up the great work, China Wok!!

Google
I’ve been to several Chinese restaurants in Frisco and this is by far the best! Everything we ordered was fresh and cooked perfectly! The restaurant itself was super clean and all of the employees were very friendly and helpful! I highly recommend this place!

Google
customer service was great! the chicken on the stick was the best i’ve had in a while, don’t really care for the rice. i ordered the lunch special!

David Goodnuff

Google
First they messed up the order and didn't include the pan cakes or the sauce with the moo shu. Second the chicken in the cashew chicken tasted old and dried, completely unedible. Third the fried rice was hard and overcooked. We literally threw out both entrees after one bite. How are these people in business?

Sarah H.

Yelp
We ordered several dishes tonight, including two sides of fried rice -- or so we thought. What we got wasn't fried, wasn't white, and definitely wasn't brown. It was more like plain rice politely introduced to soy sauce. As for the rest of the meal? Let's just say a mall food court buffet could teach this place a thing or two about flavor. To top it off, one lonely fortune cookie for the whole order. Seriously? Sorry, China Wok -- we gave it a shot, but between the wrong order, bland food, and stingy cookie count... we won't be back.
google avatar

Jusli B.

Yelp
I love this location. While I live in Aubrey I stop by on my route just to have this deliciousnesses. The service is amazing. I wanted to purchase fortune cookies but only had a card although it's expensive for the owner to process something $1 the gentleman said it's ok. I instead purchased more food

Yelp
Love this place for a fantastic array of authentic Chinese food. Very fast food prep with amazing fast service. Ambience is of a to-go place But definitely try atleast once and you will not regret it.

Yelp
Food is authentic the employees are very helpful and friendly and! Fast definitely a keeper and will return

Dirshelle W.

Yelp
The first time I came here around 8/9 PM I ordered combination fried rice and orange chicken, and the food was hot, fresh and delicious! My second time here as of today the exact same order is flavorless and bland! On top of that, they gave me a different portion of orange chicken that was not fresh and have stopped including the egg roll and chicken stick with said dinner, apparently it's only on the lunch special now... so I didn't at all get what I expected. Tried to satisfy a craving and just wasted $35 HOW COOL
google avatar

Lance W.

Yelp
First time for carry out tonight - sesame chicken, egg rolls and fried rice. Wonderful flavor, large portions and incredibly friendly service! I will be back!
google avatar

Racheal F.

Yelp
This was my first time here. I had the shrimp egg foo young. It was just okay - but not the worst I've had. You get three large thin patties. The patties were a bit too thin for me. When placing them on another plate, they're so thin that they basically fall apart. There was not enough filling to cover the small shrimps inside the patty. Love that the shrimps are inside (supposed to be-they were falling out) the patty. Very good customer service! I'll give them another.

Yelp
Good takeout (mom and pop) Chinese. I have been going here for the last seven years. Prices are reasonable and food is good. Kung pao shrimp, shrimp and mushroom are my favorite.
google avatar

Georgia L.

Yelp
My favorite Chinese restaurant. I've tried several dishes from here since 2018; I am yet to be disappointed. Service is prompt and the meal is always hot upon delivery. I've always done delivery, so cannot comment on the ambiance.
google avatar

Mimi J.

Yelp
Customer service here was great! I ordered the lunch special, and the chicken on the stick was honestly the best I've had in a while--super flavorful and cooked perfectly. However, I wasn't a fan of the rice, it just didn't stand out for me. Still, the main dish more than made up for it. Overall, it was a solid meal with excellent service, and I'd definitely come back for that chicken!

Edwin D.

Yelp
This is was a great little joint fast and efficient service definitely worth it if you're starving on a lunch break. A little small but mighty. Would come again if I'm in Frisco again.

Yelp
I have found multiple pieces of plastic and something that looks like a thick strand of hair in my fried rice. I found a few pieces on the night of 4/6/24 when I ordered it. And I'm still finding pieces in my leftovers on 4/7/24. The plastic looks like pieces that melted when the rice was being cooked. I can see the ink that was printed on the original package on the pieces of plastic. I can also see where the plastic packaging was sealed. I would not recommend this Chinese restaurant. They clearly do not care about the quality of their food or the safety of their customers. There's better Chinese food in Frisco that tastes better and has better quality.

James C.

Yelp
Went downhill, I can't tell if it's chicken or beef. The meat is definitely not healthy, it's just little nuggets of battered and fried meat. The veggies and rice are good.

Jim M.

Yelp
This is the worst Chinese food since I tried Henry Chin (which I also threw in the garbage). The Sweet and Sour Pork was disgusting. It is mostly breading which is retched and you would be hard pressed to find any pork. The lo Mein is pretty much tasteless. The spring rolls are loaded with garlic and little else. They threw in a couple other things I didn't order that were terrible and an insult to my taste buds. I spent over $70.00 for my family to have a meal but we ended up throwing it in the garbage. Don't waste your money. Any burger doodle is better than this waste.

Yelp
4 stars for service and one dish and 2.5 stars for another We decided to try this place as our regular chinese place is closed on Sunday. Our order was ready on time for pickup, and they had an interesting installation right by thw door for a contact free pickup We got the chicken lo mein extra spicy and singapore noodles no meat. The lo mein was great, it had the right amount of heat and good taste. The singapore noodles has dry curry powder sticking out, I have never seen such a dry noodle dish before, it had no salt or any flavor really. The tinned veggies like bamboo shoots, water chestnuts and baby corn had a funky taste. I would not recommend this dish at all
google avatar

Chan T.

Yelp
Will never order from this place again. Food and sauces were flavorless. Mostly breading with tiny pieces of broken shrimp. Wontons we're not stuffed with cream cheese, more so smeared with cream cheese and also flavorless. Tasted like chewing a cardboard box. Deliver driver was rude as well. Terrible waste of money. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Faith M.

Yelp
Honestly, I hate to leave a bad review on any establishment because I know that they can be detrimental but I feel like I kinda have to. Let me start off with the positives: great customer service and greeting, food was done fast, and the food had a great flavor! The negative: the "chicken" they gave us was.... not.... any meat I'm familiar with. We got chicken fried rice and kung pao chicken and Honest to god it was like breaded nothingness. There was no meat. Not to mention i went inside to pick up the food, and nobody was wearing any type of gloves and cleanliness was not great.i wish it was good, but its just wasn't

Yelp
We decided to swing by because we had heard that this restaurant provides authentic Chinese food and my sister was hankering for it. If not for the fact that our main courses weren't piping hot, this rating would be a 4. There is a 5-minute pause after striking the plate, but it is not frigid. Ultimately, the food was tasty (but not all). This small Chinese eatery will do the trick if you're in a pinch.

Yelp
Excellent take out Chinese food. Very fresh either high quality ingredients. Large portions, high protein and fantastic vegetables! Ultra fresh with authentic New York Chinese style
google avatar

Samantha S.

Yelp
We got this flyer in the mail at our apartment so we have been wanting to try this place out!! The orange chicken didn't really seem like it was chicken.... hard to chew. The chicken fried rice had no flavor and it was very dry. The white rice and spring rolls were okay but it was very disappointing.

Yelp
I was in the mood for Chinese takeout and came across a different restaurant and they just so happened to be closed on mondays. So I found this spot on yelp. They have a huge variety of lunch specials which was great! I got the Mongolian beef and my hubby got the garlic sauce shrimp. I placed my order through the actual restaurant not on door dash, so I was unable to see when it would arrive. The lady who placed the order said it would be a 45 minute wait, however the driver took over an hour to get to me so I had to take a star off. The food was delicious though, I was really surprised by how much they give, it seemed more like a dinner entree then a lunch item. The combo comes with your protein choice, rice an egg roll and even a fried chicken wing, your choice of soup or a soda and wonton chips. That's a lot of food for only $8.65. I'll definitely order from them again but next time through door dash so it won't take so long.

Yelp
This is the perfect neighborhood Chinese take-away in the heart of Frisco. Has all your Chinese-American favs like Kung Pao, General Tsao, LoMein and fried rice, we were impressed with the quality for the price. These days a burger meal costs more than a prepped meals with fresh veg/protein. TIP: Have them use low sodium soy and reduce the sauce to control the sodium intake and tofu over beef -- always a very healthy choice!
google avatar

Candace D.

Yelp
3 stars for the great food, however, the delivery guy was extremely unprofessional. I had barely just opened the door to grab my order before he rudely demanded a tip! His demeanor was very hostile and combative, totally caught me off guard. Can I grab my food first sir?! Jeesh! I'll be picking up my order for now on. The lady who takes the orders is always very polite and I always tip so the delivery guys behavior was very unnecessary!
google avatar

Ugenia G.

Yelp
One of the better Chinese takeaways around. Still looking for the best DFW has to offer.
google avatar

Amber X.

Yelp
found this place and decided to check it out. the moment you walk in you're greeted in the nicest way upon ordering they answer your questions. food didn't take too long it was for to go, took about 15-20. came back home and the food is absolutely fresh and smells amazing. i would most definitely recommend this place if you want some good true chinese food. their lunch plates are AMAZING $7.25?! you got your entree, with a wing, pork egg roll and a soda! i will definitely be back. lots of flavor the only thing that was lacking taste was the egg roll.. but i personally like veggie spring rolls more!
google avatar

Aaliyah W.

Yelp
My experience with China Wok has been good so far. I've only visited twice and ordered the lunch shrimp fried rice with wonton soup and hot & sour soup. The fried rice is pretty good actually surprised they have veggies in the rice. A lot of places around don't add veggies which is quite weird. Anyhow the wonton soup was delicious as for the hot & sour soup, I enjoyed the mushrooms but it really wasn't a fav. The chicken wing & egg roll is also a nice touch; any place that can be unique gets points in my book. Is it the best Chinese I've had? Not exactly but the customer service & quantity makes up for it. $6.44 for a lunch portion that can actually be lunch for 2 days is a plus. They don't cheat you out your money!
google avatar

Bryan B.

Yelp
Excellent lunch place. It's your standard American-Chinese food, but man those lunch plates are insane! $7.88 after taxes as of 03/28/2022, but you get: your entree a scoop of fried rice a fried chicken wing an eggroll and a cup of soup or drink The food is good too! Can't go wrong with any of the fried chicken dishes (General Tso, sesame, orange) and the Mongolian beef is really good. I never finish all the food, it's usually a lunch and dinner portion when I go. Lady who runs the front of the restaurant is super friendly as well. My coworkers and I order online so often that she recognizes me now when I go pick up everyone's orders, kind of embarrassing! Is it the best Chinese food ever? No not really. But for less than $8 are you really gonna care?
google avatar

Tyrese B.

Yelp
The service was fine and the cashier was friendly. However the food was not good at all. I ordered the general tso chicken with friend rice and vegetable egg roll. The chicken lacked flavor and tasted as if it was cooked and then refried for my order. The fried rice looked like it had potential but also lacked flavor. The egg rolls were greasy and mushy on the inside.
google avatar

Faith K.

Yelp
Desperately looking for a great Chinese place, but not so much here. The best part of the meal was the rice (asked for fried rice got brown rice instead but still not bad). The sweet and sour chicken was so over breaded there was barley any chicken to be had. The sauce was so so at bes. The Mongolia Beef and Mongolia Chicken, flavorless and questionable on how old the product was. The pork egg rolls were over fried and again just so so. Was worth a try but do not recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
China Wok is ok, not great, not bad, just ok. I ordered Egg Drop Soup (small) $1.50 and Fried Noodles ($0.50) along with Mongolian Beef. I few things first about ordering online from them. Lunch was advertised through Sunday till 3 PM. I ordered at 2:30 PM on Sunday and was unable to make good on the lunch special Mongolian Beef at $6.95. I was pumped about the lunch special price but unfortunately was unable to make good on what was advertised. Anyway, bought the $9.95 full dinner portion. At checkout for take out it added $4 to a $ 13 order making it a 30% tip. First off, it's pickup, and if you are like me, you view this as a non tipping scenario or 10% tops. Certainly not 30%. Luckily you can change that. I changed it to zero. When did pickup in this country start becoming a tip situation? Covid ? Really, isn't handing the customer their food a minimum requirement for pickup?? I mean can you do less ? Anyway, I digress. As for the egg drop soup, it was on par with what you would hope it tastes like. Believe it or not some places can't even get that right ( example Meso Asia, tasteless there). The 50 cent noodles ( came in two packages) looked burnt but when mixed with soup went well. For $2 I could have filled up on that alone ( when somedays I am not so hungry) rather easily so thumbs up on that item. As for the Mongolian beef with fried rice, it was a bit on the heavy side with the onions. The onions were also a bit too thick and not cooked enough. A little less beef as a result compared to some other places but not too bad. The beef seemed to be a mixture of real beef and some other meat that looked like beef but required little to no chewing. Not sure what I experienced there. The taste of the non chew beef was rather not there, could have swallowed it whole without chewing with no ill effects honestly. Perhaps a beef mixture used in order to keep costs down. The beef parts that chewed more like tradition beef was ok while the non chew beef was just filler and bland. After eating the meal ( lot of rice and onions left for sure) you are left feeling just sort of partially gratified. This beats some places where you are grossed out and feel sick afterwards but not the sort of unzip your pants (because you're about to pop ..belly that is...keep it clean )and pass out on the bed sort of gratified that you might have hoped for. I will say that for the same item it's about 50% more at dinner as opposed to the likes of Meso Asia or Kitchen Master in Frisco so if you want to feel sort of gratified and not have your wallet emptied this isn't a bad option but if you want a fully gratifying Mongolian beef experience I would say pay up and go elsewhere.
google avatar

Val K.

Yelp
I give this place a 0-10. Seriously wondering who's in the kitchen back there. Food is absolutely flavorless. Panda Express is better. If you eat here make sure to add your own seasonings...i got the Mongolian beef with rice, absolutely disgusting. I also got the orange chicken with lo mein , the noodles were edible. Overall this food is barely palatable. Try at your own risk.

Yelp
Broke my ankle. Craving Chinese found this place close to home. Ordered delivery (which I never do). Loved the speed of delivery and the food was delicious. Egg drop soup needed a little salt. But everything else was great. Best Chinese I have found in a long time.
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
Fast, cheap and good Chinese food! Try the lunch special entree, soup, egg roll and can soda for less than 10!
google avatar

Susan M.

Yelp
This was the only Chinese delivery open on Monday so we got delivery. It came quickly within 30 mins! Mind you, we live right down the street. Great customer service but this place is okay. Have I had better Chinese food? Yes. Is it convenient and decently priced? Yes. We got a free order of crab Rangoon which barely had any filling in it. I'd skip out. Spicy orange chicken was too sour for me but I thought the spice would offset that. The beef and broccoli was pretty solid. Chicken wings were large and crispy... get the original flavor!
google avatar

Shane W.

Yelp
The food arrived to my hotel very quickly. I ordered the Happy Family, Orange Chicken, Beef & Broccoli and some pot stickers. Everything was Hot, Fresh and Delicious. The sauces (which make or break Chinese food) were perfect. The rice was hot and steamy, they provided all of the napkins, forks, chopsticks, extra sauces and some fortune cookies. My tab was like $45 bucks w/ tax and tip. The portions were awesome. Every tray was filled. This was enough food for 4 adults. I do recommend this restaurant and I will order again when I visit Frisco, TX again. Nice Job China Wok !

Yelp
Currently our favorite Chinese take out lunch spot. Not the best Chinese food we have had BUTTTTTT.... they are SUPER cheap compared to other nearby spots. Lunch special - $5.65 which includes your choice of main dish, choice of white/fried rice, egg roll, fried wing/drum, and either soup or soda. Recommendations: General Tso Chicken (favorite item on lunch menu) Beef and veggies Fried chicken 8 pc - $5.30 --- super good and crunchy!!! Hot and sour soup (other soups aren't as good as this) White rice is so much better than fried rice They take both cash/credit. We always do pick up because it's nearby, but they have fast delivery, too. Food is made to order and always hot when we pick up. Very decent sized portions for lunch. Always leaves us full and satisfied. Never have tried dinner so can't comment on that. They are very busy and only few tables in lobby. Best for delivery/takeout unless you are eating alone or with a friend. Not recommended for family eat in. Will continue to patronage this establishment. Would highly recommend for easy, quick lunch during those busy week days.
google avatar

Carlton V.

Yelp
Food is disgusting and cold, do not eat here! Some of the worst Chinese food I've ever tasted, ordered orange chicken which was cold ,soggy and tasteless. Also ordered crab Rangoon which was also terrible.

Whitney E.

Yelp
Do NOT order an extra ranch or dipping! Not worth it. The Spicy Teriyaki wings taste different every time and after looking at the sauce, it's made up so there is no consistency. I was really starting to like this place but I think I will not be back for awhile. There are other places around! Do not be fooled by a good day

Yelp
Ordered delivery from here one night which ended up being a carb overload, but it was good. We got the combo lo mein, shrimp fried rice and shrimp rice noodles. The lo mein and shrimp rice noodles were really good and the portions fed 3 adults and we still had leftovers. The 3 star is for the shrimp fried rice. We asked for no peas and carrots, and somehow they interpreted that into no veggies, so I was disappointed to see my food looking really bare. I LOVE onions and bean sprouts in my rice and I judge chinese restaurants by their SFR, so they can't get a 4 star from me until I try that again and its made correctly. Overall the food was good (lo mein was bomb), portions were nice, delivery was quick and it was cheaper than other restaurants in the area.

Luanu'u M.

Yelp
Great and fresh fast chinese food. Fresh vegetables and quick service. Love their lunch combos and dinner platters. Nice to feed big eaters. One bathroom in back and it's clean. Friendly customer service. Hope this family restaurant stays in business. Love them!
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
Good food, good prices. The broccoli in the beef and broccoli was really fresh and everything was very warm when I picked it up. The wonton soup was pretty standard around here, not the best but still edible, but with the pricing I definitely didn't feel like I was being ripped off. Everyone was super friendly when I went in to pick up my food and the place was really clean. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick Chinese food fix at a decent price.

Yelp
Finally a place in Frisco TX that serves "authentic" American Chinese food! This place is great and has awesome flavor. My wife and I have lived in Frisco for almost 3 years and we have not had any luck with finding a good causal Chinese food spot until we ordered delivery from China Wok! Their dumplings were fresh, food was flavorful, soups were delish and the food arrived pipping hot! Will definitely be our "go to" for Chinese food!

R H.

Yelp
Two stars for the first two times ordering it was really good... unfortunately these last few times it was so bad. I usually spend $30-40 and get a bunch of food. Out of everything I got the plain rice was the only thing that was edible... last time it sucked but I was hoping it was an off day. This time it was soo nasty.:/
google avatar

Barrah C.

Yelp
Went here for lunch... prices are super reasonable/cheap for what you get... for example, I ordered General Tso's Chicken... came with cup brown rice, crispy fried wing, pork egg roll, and a canned soda... all for $5.45! The quality was also excellent...friends had similar experiences... crab rangoon was a bit sweeter than I prefer and not as crisp as I like, but the appetizer wings (buffalo) were really good... Now for the bad news...there are only 2-3 small tables and the place is really designed for and caters to takeout/delivery. Eating there was *miserable*... cramped, loud, and hot...I'm not talking warm... it was 90F today and when the front door opened, it was briefly like feeling the fridge door opening... so, yeah... get it to go.

Esme P.

Yelp
I would come here again. Found this restaurant on Yelp and reviews led me here. Wish I would have ordered egg rolls. Don't forget to ask for sauces and plastic wear. Good food!
google avatar

S L.

Yelp
I'm conflicted with China Wok because it has probably the best sweet and sour chicken I've ever had, but the worst fried rice I've ever had. That's coming from someone who grew up with parents owning a Chinese restaurant too. The fried rice was hard and incredibly bland, but they do give you a ton of it. Their portions and prices are amazing. The lo mein was the darkest noodles I've ever seen for lo mein. Taste-wise it wasn't bad. Wasn't the best either, but it'll do. As with all lo mein, the taste lingers in your mouth even after brushing your teeth and using mouth wash.
google avatar

Tasha L.

Yelp
Zero flavor in the fried rice. None. There isn't even a vegetable or a piece of egg in it. Beef and broccoli was $8 and mostly broccoli. Delivery was fast and friendly but I would never eat here again.

Yelp
Food is ! Great price, lunch special is $6-7 and prices range from $7-12. Super delicious and the woman is super nice! Great place

Yelp
Great food! I enjoyed it. I ordered delivery and everything arrived hot. Great flavor, generous portions and good amount of meet in the fried rice.
