"A posh fine-dining restaurant that serves Asian food with haute French culinary touches. The menu includes dishes like poussin stuffed with claypot rice and Nam Yu braised beef short ribs, with a focus on seasonal ingredients. The restaurant resembles an intimate private kitchen with a tight menu to focus on imported produce." - Kenneth Goh

My first visit to this unique restaurant in MBS. Walking in with a warm welcome by a lady staff. Great lighting, great ambience and peaceful. Wonderful feeling till a male server came to our table with an "unfriendly" attitude. Was feeling so disappointed and uncomfortable by his unprofessional service at first... :( However, we gave him the benefit of doubt, we proceeded to order our Set Dinner. =) The unique Franco Asian cuisine finally made our day and we had a wonderful time enjoying the food and ambience. A friendly lady staff came serving us with a smile (even she was on mask) we felt the sincerity and positive vibes in her. Maybe the male server just need some boost on his soft skill training. Overall he doesn't seems to be a bad server. Price is reasonable with such a lovely setting. Will visit again! Thanks chef JQ for creating this concept that I enjoyed most!!

Service staff are friendly and made us feel welcomed. Glad to be able to enjoy the whole restaurant to ourselves before it starts to get crowded after 7pm. The restaurant is well furbished and feels like home. We went for the Experience Menu which is a 6 course meal, comes with 10 dishes in total excluding the bread & truffle butter. I am blown away by the truffle butter. I could have that for breakfast everyday. You must try it if you have not. I like that JQ staff have tasted and knew the food well as they explained each course to us so we get to appreciate the effort that went into making each and every dishes which were all very tantalizing. The portions are just nice and you get rather full after the whole course. But there’s always room for dessert. The crisp raspberry meringue just melts in your mouth. The secret? It is kept in the dehumidifier box until it is required. I could still vividly remember the taste and texture. We will definitely visit again when they have a new Experience Menu.

The waiter was a bit arrogant saying “oh, so you can’t speak English?” I felt assaulted by such kind of speech. Regarding the food, they were brilliant. The cheese was a unique flavor which I have never tried before. If you have a bite of the cheese and bread, you will fall in love with them. Foie gras has always been one of my favorite dishes. And the chief made it taste great. I was completely satisfied by this dish. The pasta with lobster was also great. Steak was cooked properly in medium well. Tender and juicy. Next time we shall try the set menu. Hopefully I won’t encounter the arrogant waiter again.

Beautiful French fusion restaurant in The Shoppes. We’ve come here a few times now and it never disappoints. Good choice to go with a set course menu as you’ll be fully introduced to the flavours of this place. Service has always been excellent and the decor of the restaurant is very tasteful.

We had an amazing experience at Chinoiserie, French cuisine perfectly blended with the Asian flavors, Top! All the dishes were perfectly served. Already placed the Chinoiserie restaurant at the top of my preferred list in Singapore. For sure we will go back there soon!

Had the Asian Deluxe Menu Set Lunch. The food and ambience was overall very good. They started the meal service with freshly baked buns which was delicious with the Truffle Butter. Next was the Amuse Bouche which was two light canapés which was interesting and a great appetizers. After that I was served the Salad with Soft Shell Crabs. Wasn’t the best but the soft shell crab was very crispy. Following that, was the Freshly Caught King Prawn Wok Fried Hokkien Noodles. That was really delicious. Hokkien Noodles done right! Super flavorful and noodles cooked to perfection. Finally, we had the Wagyu Minced Beef Cube. While I didn’t really like the carrots and seasonal greens, I thought the minced beef was good. The minced beef made into meatball likes shape was very juicy, lightly sweeten and full of flavors all at the same time. The dessert was not the best. While I liked the Chrysanthemum Sorbet and Qing Teng was very ordinary. My friends had the other menu which is the Deluxe Menu and it looked really good too. Service was great. Staff was attentive but tends to cut conversations a little too abruptly. The host/manager of the restaurant was super friendly and accommodating as well which is absolutely fantastic! Definitely recommend this place and will be back.

Our 3rd time visiting and we enjoyed the food as much as we did the first 2 visits. We really like that the menu keeps changing and gives us a reason to keep returning. We always have the Deluxe menu which is quite value for money, and this time tried the Decouverte menu which is more costly and also delicious. The waiter even remembered us from our previous visit!

2nd time visit: the menu is changed and we were disappointed at it. The ingredients were good but the taste and flavor were simple and had no depth. 3 dishes of the course had almost the same creamy taste. 1st time visit: We ordered 1 Prestige set and 1 Decouverte set. Every dish looked and tasted nice. Pretty standard fine dining experience. I felt they should add some more “wow” factor into the menu.
