Chip City never disappoints! Their cookies are always fresh, gooey, and absolutely delicious. Every time I stop by, I have to get my favorite flavor—Confetti. It’s perfectly soft on the inside with just the right amount of sweetness. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The staff is always friendly, and the shop smells like heaven the moment you walk in. Hands down one of the best cookie spots out there!

Stepping into City Cookie UES is like entering a sweet sanctuary where the air is rich with the comforting aromas of sugar and butter. The warm welcome from the staff sets the stage for a delightful experience. A special shoutout to Mary for her impeccable recommendations; each cookie was a masterpiece. Here's a delectable rundown of the treats l indulged in: * Confetti Cookie: A festive delight, this vanilla sugar cookie is generously mixed with vibrant rainbow sprinkles, offering a playful crunch that complements its soft, buttery base. * Chocolate Chip Cookie: A timeless classic executed to perfection. The cookie boasts a golden-brown exterior with a slightly crisp edge, encasing a chewy center laden with rich, melty chocolate chips. * Brookie: The best of both worlds—a harmonious blend of a fudgy brownie and a chewy cookie. This treat features a marbled swirl that delivers the deep cocoa flavors of a brownie with the satisfying texture of a cookie. * Reese's® Peanut Butter Blast Cookie: A peanut butter lover's dream. This cookie is packed with chunks of Reese's® peanut butter cups and mini Reese's Pieces®, creating a nutty, chocolaty explosion in every bite. * Cookies N Cream Cookie: A creative twist on a beloved flavor, this cookie incorporates pieces of chocolate sandwich cookies into a rich dough, resulting in a delightful mix of textures and a creamy, chocolaty taste. * Banana Cream Pie Cookie: A nostalgic nod to the classic dessert, this cookie captures the essence of banana cream pie with its moist, banana-flavored base and hints of vanilla, evoking memories of homemade comfort. * Each cookie features a buttery golden bottom, slightly crispy edges, and an irresistibly chewy center-a testament to the bakery's dedication to quality and craftsmanship. I wholeheartedly recommend City Cookie UES to anyone seeking a cookie experience that transcends the ordinary. With such an array of flavors and impeccable execution, it's a place that beckons for return visits. I'll be back soon to continue this sweet journey. “Food that feeds the soul, beauty that speaks volumes, and travel that tells a story always through the eyes of Italy Loves India.” — Alyson Savino

Google
Chip City cookies ($5.50 each, plus tax) have a crisp surface that contrasts nicely with the moist, chewy center. The shop (as well as their packaging and merch) reminds one of a child’s room…playful and charming. The service is equally cheerful.

Google
Chip city has a good variety of cookie flavors depending on the day of the week. Sign up for the points & you get a free cookie on your birthday. A bit on the pricey side @ $7 a cookie.

Google
Kids enjoyed their cookies. S’mores, cretzel, Nutella cinnamon are our favorite treats. Friendly and welcoming staff with cool options to choose from.

Google
I went into Chip City for the first time today and was so pleased by the cheerful atmosphere and smiles on the faces of the young ladies. We asked which were the best sellers and we purchased a box with the top three. We all agreed that the Tiramisu croissant was the best. It was like taking a bite out of a of heaven. So much so, that when we were done with our restaurant reservations, we returned to buy two more boxes each.

Google
Great cookies, better with milk. Absolutely amazing staff the girl who help us was kind, chatty, and gave great recommendations. We tried the regular chocolate chip, s’mores, Oreo cookie, funfetti cookie, double chocolate peanut butter, macadamia nut cookie, and the cannoli cookie. The only one bad cookie we had was the double chocolate peanut butter cookie as it was entirely burnt. We’re assuming it was just a bad batch as everything else was delicious.

Google
Insert new cookie place. Chip City is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Definitely better than Crumble. Every cookie has it's own identity. Not like Crumble where every cookie has a sugar cookie base
google avatar

Yelp
Emma Chamberlain is right. Best cookie in NYC. Way better than Levain. Of note, there is no restroom for customers.

Yelp
Friendly and efficient customer service, but these cookies were just way too sweet for me. The crisp and gooey/soft center were spot on but the cookies just aren't my type of cookie. I enjoyed my first bite but really couldn't get through the rest without feeling like I was going to suffer for it. The cookies are huge! If you love a very sweet milk chocolate taste or just higher sugar content in your cookies, Chip City is an excellent choice. I lean towards dark chocolates so it was harder for me to enjoy. I do love that they sell milk on tap here - what a perfect combo.
google avatar

Lizzy K.

Yelp
Smells delightful, huge cookies, interesting flavors! Fine service and vibes. Definitely can cut up the cookies for serving.
google avatar

Phil H.

Yelp
Make sure to drop by weekly or even daily as they always seem to have a few different cookies to choose from. Now they will have seasonal varieties. So good.
google avatar

Stacy T.

Yelp
We went to the store to pick up. Not a huge space, but you don't need much space for cookies. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I got the triple chocolate crookie. The cookie portion was not too exciting. Only a small bit of the cookie was present. The croissant portion was also not too exciting. It was more like a danish that did not rise. The overall sentiment was "Do you want a cookie or do you want a croissant?" Just pick one and go with that. However, I will come back and try their cookies.
google avatar

Crystal L.

Yelp
I love cookies! I've only ate chip city 3 times and I've definitely only liked the confetti, chocolate chip, and peanut butter/chocolate flavor. The thin cookies are better if you don't like huge cookies and just want to help with your sweet cravings. The staff was very helpful and patient as well! It also helps that this location has other known sweet and savory spots on the next block!
google avatar

Varsha T.

Yelp
Chip City delivers an indulgent cookie experience, and the s'mores cookie was a highlight. It had the perfect mix of graham cracker flavor, a gooey marshmallow center, and plenty of chocolate. At $6, the cookies are large and served warm, making them worth the price. While there's no seating inside, I was able to stand and enjoy my treat while soaking in the delicious aroma. The service was quick, and they offer a wide variety of flavors, including some thin crispy cookies and vegan options.
google avatar

Yvonne C.

Yelp
I came in on free cookie day and while the shop was crowded with a line out the door, the two employees that evening handled it like pros! They kept the line moving and ensured everyone had the cookies they ordered. I had the confetti cookie and it was absolutely delicious, I will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
If you don't hear Tyga's voice in your head every time you come here, we probably can't be friends. (Boomers and Zoomers: tell Siri to play "Rack City". You're welcome). The cookies here are thicc, delicious, and come in all sorts of varieties. Don't be distracted, stick with chocolate. The cookies are warmed so the chocolate center is perfectly melted and gooey. You just don't get that effect with ginger or pumpkin spice or blueberry bramble, no offense. I also like to order milk too for dunking purposes. I understand that is lactose privilege, but I have it so I might as well exercise it. If you follow my lead on this, I also recommend finishing your milk precisely when you finish your cookie. If you don't, you may find yourself wandering New York with a 16oz cup of 2%. That's not a strong look for a 35-year old man.

Yelp
I'd been hearing about Chip City for a while but never got around to trying it till recently. Had the chocolate chip cookie and it was quite floury and lacked a nice crunch on the outside. Sure, it's huge but I found the flavor very simple and although the chocolate was gooey, there wasn't a great contrast in texture so it kinda felt like eating cookie dough to me. I think Levain or many other bakeries have a more interesting and delicious cookie--this one is definitely not top tier! Maybe their other ones are better :/
google avatar

Chelsey T.

Yelp
The cookie choices we amazing. The service was amazing and welcoming and inviting. The ambiance was clean. The taste of the cookies that we chose was amazing
google avatar

Yelp
Yummm I love Chip City. I got their Blueberry Cheesecake and Chocolate Chip cookies. I think their chocolate chip cookie is much better than Levain. They're also huge and worth the $4.75 price. You can eat it 3 times, no need to eat a cookie in one sitting (unless you want to). The staff is so nice and friendly and convinced me to sign up for the rewards program. I'll be back to try different cookies.
google avatar

Dimpie S.

Yelp
One of the best cookies in the city! Love this location because it's never busy with quick and friendly service. I've gone multiple times and tried the Halloween holiday cookies and regular flavors. They never disappoint! Always a fun spot to grab dessert and enjoy a warm soft cookie.
google avatar

Kathy K.

Yelp
Stopped by this cookie shop in the Upper East Side of NYC. We ordered two of the classic Chocolate Chip and one of the special of the week. Each $4.75 and they are huge, decadent and delicious. Great service.
google avatar

Ilana Z.

Yelp
As usual, Chip City always hits the spot. I tried the fluffernutter cookie late at night. It was still super warm and ooey gooey. I remember when the cookies were $4 and now they are $4.75. Inflation! I'll still keep coming back for my cookie fixings.
google avatar

Munesu C.

Yelp
I love this place! What helps me is that they have a different menu every week. I usually stick to my usuals and try and new flavor from time to time. I would recommend checking on their website what's on the menu that week just to save you the trip. Everyone i have introduced to this place loves it. I have been to a couple locations and the service is always great. There little to no seating there but other than that the ambiance and decor is welcoming
google avatar

Christie S.

Yelp
Came here for national cookie day and my boyfriend and I each got one cookie for free by ordering through the app. I got the s'more cookie and he got the regular chocolate chip cookie. While the cookie was not warm (which was expected since they had a lot of orders that day), the marshmallow in the s'more cookie was still gooey and melty! Cookie was huge and one cookie could be easily shared by 3-4 people. Both of the cookies have a lot of chocolate chip in them and they were delicious! I didn't realize the s'more cookie was a graham cracker cookie and not a regular chocolate chip cookie and it had a hint of cinnamon. I wasn't a big fan of that cinnamon flavor so I preferred the regular chocolate cookie more. Nonetheless, both of the cookies were good and I will definitely come back in the future!
google avatar

Honor G.

Yelp
Pros Yummy cookies Large cookies Keychains Freshly baked cookies on site Seasonal cookies Colorful aesthetics Cons $$$ Limited selection
google avatar

Alexa L.

Yelp
I was sucked in by the cute marketing. They only had four or five flavors to choose from, and you have to order ahead if you want the mini size. I watched several people come in and out while I was deciding, all who had ordered ahead. Seems to be the way to go. The customer service was excellent. They've got some really great people working here. However, I was not a fan of the cookies. It was very much a cake consistency. Not like a soft cookie, but almost like a Madeline. I was really not a fan. If you are looking for the best cookie in NYC, I would recommend Levain.
google avatar

Andre C.

Yelp
A brookie and a glass of milk = say less Staff were friendly and helpful Smells like a sweet getaway inside the store
google avatar

Azarel B.

Yelp
Giant cookie but sometimes less is more. The cookies were just too much. The filling inside made the cookie feel underdone and there was just too much of it. I found myself breaking off the outer edges before I decided to just cut my losses ( a whopping $4.50 a cookie ) and trash it. It wasn't worth starting over my diet for the 40th time that night. I will say whoever is on the counter late weeknights, great vibes. I'd go back just to tip him even though I kinda hated the cookie.
google avatar

Elyssa G.

Yelp
I'm still giving this place a 4-star for service and selection, but it's just not my type of cookie. Chip City cookies are soft and gooey in the center with just a slight edge of crispiness (like Levain but not as raw as Levain). I like my cookies more baked and crispy.
google avatar

Michael V.

Yelp
Good cookie flavors with good consistency. Cookies are well baked and gooey without being underdone. They usually have 5 to 6 different flavors with a few of them rotating on a weekly basis. Glad to see they've been expanding.
google avatar

Novella N.

Yelp
I've been a fan of Chip since the beginning! I think it was fate because the OG location opened not even two weeks after I moved to Astoria. The days of long lines at Chip are now over, as they have expanded and now have spots in every borough. (Still waiting on a Westchester location!) My favorite flavors are the cookies and cream, chocolate peanut butter, and s'mores. Go get yourself a dozen, or more! Note: they also cater parties and weddings!
google avatar

Shirin B.

Yelp
Note to self: do not sit down and eat an entire cookies and cream cookie from chip city otherwise I will have a major sugar rush. But also completely worth it. Chip city has good cookies.
google avatar

Yelp
Chip City is a brand new cookie store on Second Avenue between 80th and 81st Street. It's a little over a half mile walk from my apartment. I learned about it reading UES an online neighborhood newspaper. After I ate lunch today I decided to take a short walk to see the operation. There's a very nice employee working the reception and register. He greeted me as I came in. They had two other employees on duty. One to handle your order and one in the kitchen baking cookies! They offer Four Flavors and other than the standard Chocolate Chip the flavors change daily. I took a photo of the price board on the wall. I ordered one White Chocolate Cranberry Oat. If you pay cash you save so it was $4.36 with tax. It's double wrapped in a bag inside another bag. If you order a large quantity you get a box. The cookies are huge at 4oz. When I got home I sliced a small piece. It's going to be at least three more servings. I found it to be very very sweet. I loved the tiny pieces of tart cranberry. The flavor combination was very good. I could taste the oats. I recommend you try one of these huge City Chips Cookies. You won't get bored since flavors change. Customer Service is great and they bake them fresh daily on the premises. I'm sure I'll return periodically to check the different flavors! The atmosphere is very welcoming and the decor cute.

Yelp
I LOVE expecting nothing and getting everything. I've seen Chip City's cookies all over the place but haven't been able to try them myself. I came on a day where the cookies were chocolate chip, funfetti, chocolate chip peanut butter, and lemon berry. I ended up buying a box of six (buy 5 get one free), which came to around $22, and got 2 of each excluding the chocolate peanut butter. First of all, pretty good deal. I love me a good free cookie. Second, these things are so hefty. Third, and most importantly, I'm obsessed with their rotating menu. The fun of looking up cookie flavors of the week so you can plan out your day around a cookie OR the surprise of walking in and not knowing what exactly you're going to be getting? Priceless. I think the idea is amazing and also just keeps things interesting for regulars. Sure, I'm disappointed that I wasn't able to try the oatmeal apple pie or the s'mores, but that literally just means I have to go back another day which is exactly what they want and I'm not mad I just played directly into their marketing scheme. The box says to warm them up before eating, so that's what we did (DEFINITELY recommend doing this, even for cookies like the funfetti that you wouldn't think would need a shot in the microwave). The chocolate chip and funfetti cookies were good enough-- filled with chocolate and sprinkles respectively. The chocolate chip was super gooey after the microwave blast and I just love sprinkles in general. But those are pretty classic cookies. What got to me was the lemon berry cookie which was made up of SUCH a good lemon cookie base and had a layer of jam in the middle. And WARMED UP? It slapped. The texture of Chip City's cookies are crunchy on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside. You really get the full spectrum of cookie texture if you're one of those people who can't just decide on one or if you like eating the crunchy with the soft together. Truly the gift that keeps on giving. These were definitely not an everyday cookie, but for a special occasion I can see myself getting a variety to share (or munch on in bed alone)
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
9th location! A great spot on the UES, with a crazy line down the block for opening day, for the always smart free cookie promo. Go get the great Black & White Cookie special here and all the other classics.
google avatar

Sam R.

Yelp
Small cute spot on the Upper East Side, NY. Cookies are super fresh. My favorite is the chocolate chip and white chocolate macadamia. I wasn't to crazy about the strawberries and cream. Only con is I wish the selection was better. Very small variety.
google avatar

Dathan C.

Yelp
These cookies are delicious, but oh so heavy. Apparently this is a brand new location for Chip City. I was recently in NYC visiting friends and we got this to go along with pizza for a simple, "I haven't seen you guys in forever" reunion meal. We got a mix of cookies, from chocolate chip, sweet potato smores, White Chocolate Macadamia, and Pumpkin Spice Latte. We followed the instructions to heat them up in the oven and they came out so warm, gooey and delicious on an autumn evening after some pizza. Definitely not something you'd eat on a regular basis, but a nice treat.
google avatar

Sandy Y.

Yelp
Time and time again, chip city does not fail. I was so, so happy when I saw they were opening up in the area. Before the weekly menu, I always looked forward to the "daily specials" that was offered. Given the new weekly menu (from Thurs - Thurs), it def let's me pick and choose without time constraint.
google avatar

Ken C.

Yelp
fantastic cookies Recently stopped by and was impressed. The aroma of fresh baked cookies hits you as soon as you walk in. I got a half dozen with one of each variety and was impressed with the quality. The chocolate chip was my fav - soft and chewy with the right amount of sweetness. Staff was friendly and efficient as well. My main qualm is that there is limited selection and it is a bit pricey. Def on par with Levain Bakery IMO.
google avatar

Madeline A.

Yelp
Love the cookies from here! They are always so warm and fresh. Each day, they have different flavors, up to 4 per day so check their website first before stopping in. They're $4.50/cookie and $22.50 for 6 cookies. It's only a storefront at this location, no tables so grab and go. So far, my favorites have been the classic chocolate chip and the pina colada cookie. The peanut butter and jelly and cookies and cream were also good. In my opinion, better than Levain! Check them out!
google avatar

H L.

Yelp
DELICIOUS cookies! We ordered via Uber Eats to our hotel for a family snack. The cookies are HUGE and they even arrived warm.
google avatar

Dave F.

Yelp
I've seen Chip City online for a long time. Finally just happened to walk by one and stepped in to grab a few to try. They are thick like Levain and come in many more flavors that rotate daily. (See their website for the flavors of the day.) May be slightly bigger than Levain IMHO. Got a chocolate chip, PB & Jelly, and a Hot Fudge Sundae. Each cookie was $4.50 except for the hot fudge, which was $6.50 splurge. Very good cookies overall. Slightly hard exterior and chewy interior. The HFS was their chocolate chip cookie with hot fudge and sprinkles on top of it. I would go back when in the mood for a thick, chewy cookie.
google avatar

Tiffany F.

Yelp
If you like thick cookies you will enjoy chip city cookies, we tried chocolate chip and the teddy graham cookie. I would say the cookies are pretty good and about 4 to 5 Oz each, which is why each cookie is about 4 servings (170 calories per serving). The chocolate chip cookie had a nice crust on the outside but some in the inside, it had a nice amount of chocolate chips. The teddy had sprinkles and tasted like cinnamon , it was topped with buttercream and had two teddy grams on top. I think this was my favorite of the two. I had had/made better cookies but I think this cookies are pretty great for chain cookie stores but

Yelp
AMAZING chocolate chip cookie -- better than levain imo. stopped by to grab a cookie and was choosing between the classic chocolate chip and then brookie and the cashier recommended chocolate chip and i have no regrets. it was absolutely delicious and warm and gooey on the inside and i really do think it's better than levain. i saved half for the next day and the inside was still soft. highly recommend!!!
google avatar

Anna K.

Yelp
Great alternative to Levain's cookies. The menu changes every week and they have seasonal cookies. They're big and gooey and definitely keeps you full!
google avatar

Sarah P.

Yelp
Had dinner down the block with a friend and was CRAVING something sweet to end the night. CHIP CITY was the perfect bite! Their cookies are very big, warm and down right delicious. Damn it I'm suppose to be on a diet. Great job Chip City, I will definitely be back for some more ooey gooey goodness. 4.7/5
google avatar

Les E.

Yelp
These cookies are amazing. Not only do they taste good but they are also huge! I haven't actually walked into the place but I have ordered from this location many times. Great spot for a late night bite or if you are craving cookies!
google avatar

Karen N.

Yelp
Chip city opened this shop on the UES a few weeks ago. They were very organized and service was fast and efficient. Their selections change daily, and can be found on Instagram. We tried the sweet potato smores, pumpkin spice latte and chocolate chip. Cookies are $4.00 , and well worth it. They are large and plump. Definitely cannot eat a full one at a time. The sweet potato smores was sweet and had a touch of cinnamon. The pumpkin spice latte is unbelievably moist and has just enough spice, but it does not detract from the pumpkin. The chocolate chip are amazing. They were just out of the oven, still warm and the chocolate chips were melted, what a delight. Since we ordered three they put them in a cute box for transport and it includes instructions how to warm them. They said they are on the fast track to open more stores, so be on the look out.

Esther O.

Yelp
This was my first time ever trying chip city cookies after hearing so much amazing things about them! My friends and I decided to order 4 different flavors to sample as many as we could. I am definitely a huge fan of their cookies, probably one of my favorites in the city. The chocolate chip and strawberries and cream were my favorites out of the bunch. They were not too heavy/cakey but still pretty thick. I would say these cookies are a lot lighter than Levain. Definitely plan to check them out more to try their other flavors and I prefer these to Levain. Only con is the price so took off a star.
google avatar

Jennifer P.

Yelp
Nothing beats a warm cookie. We just grabbed the chocolate chip cookie and it was delicious: for being a huge cookie it had great taste and wasn't heavy. Service was quick
google avatar

Sabrina P.

Yelp
I LOVE getting Chip City in WV and Williamsburg, but this time fell flat in the newly opened 3-weeks ago Chip City in the UES. It's definitely the smallest location of the 3, which is fine, but what bumped it down 2 stars was the cold cookie served to me (I got the sweet potato s'mores marshmallow one) and the fact that they ran out of chocolate chip at a good 1 hour prior to closing. I was just very disappointed by this, unfortunately. I would maybe return since I come to the UES frequently, but its a shame their cookies were cold, as if they were just sitting out there all day - I never had an experience from Chip City like that before. Usually they are a bit warmer even if it is towards the end of the night.
google avatar

Gloria T.

Yelp
They charged a service fee because they couldnt take cash. To be exact, they needed exact change...i'm baffled. I was never charged a service fee from other chip locations before. Since I had to use credit card to pay since i only had $20 bills, they never informed me there was a service fee. I also saw $21.78 on the screen when I entered my credit card. I saw there was a service fee once I got the receipt via email. I shouldnt make a big deal out of this but I will because i felt they overcharged me and didnt inform me about the service fee. PLUS i didnt see a service fee charge on the screen as I entered my credit card. In regards to the cookies, I got a box of 6, mixture of chocolate chip, white chocolate macadamia, sweet potato smores and pumpkin spice latte. Not much pumpkin flavor for the pumpkin spice latte. Friend likes the white chocolate but too sweet for her taste buds. We all liked the sweet potato smores more. Heavy cookies. We loved them all but I dont like how Chip charges customer a service because THEY dont have change for customers paying cash.
google avatar

Bijal R.

Yelp
Blows any soft cookie shop out of the water. By far the best cookie shop I have ever been to. The cookies are huge (approximately 4 oz), fluffy and perfectly warm with melted chocolate. Baked to perfection and addicting. Best when warmed up with a side of milk. Flavors rotate on a daily basis. There are multiple locations throughout the city, along with Long Island City. Wish i could eat these everyday!!
google avatar

Casey S.

Yelp
These are good! I'm so glad chip city opened a location on the UES. I missed opening day but made it a few days ago to try the cookies that drew a line down the street. Sadly for me they were out of the Rugrats anniversary cookie at the time but we picked up the other options: monster cookie, chocolate chip and peanut butter & jelly. These are big, thick cookies that are almost a meal in themselves. The peanut butter and jelly is actually stuffed with a jelly inside which was so good since peanut butter cookies alone are kinda boring. The chocolate chip had tons of chips but not too many. All the cookies were golden brown on the outside and a bit soft and gooey on the inside which is the best. Great addition to the neighborhood and worth sampling from their always changing menu!
google avatar

Lenny S.

Yelp
Visited chip city with my friends from passmeanapkin and we did not regret it the cookies were soooo amazing I highly recommend this place I can't wait to go back and try so many yummy co

Jonathan V.

Yelp
Cookies and cream was the best! The lady behind the counter didn't seem friendly at all and her vibe was just horrible. I like that they were open pretty late. The same lady said their coffee is really good and boy was that a lie! Warm and watered down! Just go for the cookies!
