Chipotle Mexican Grill

Okay so let’s just cut right to the chase…when I first walked in I was disgusted because the floors hadn’t been swept, tables were crummy and it took a few minutes for a staff member to actually acknowledge my husband and I presence. I was 5 seconds from asking my husband to leave when the young fellow welcomed us and got straight to making our bowls. He wasn’t stingy AT ALL with our bowls and made sure we definitely was satisfied! My husband and I sat down with our baby and immediately started digging in. OH MY GOSH..yall when I tell you this chipotle deserve 100/10 stars for how delicious and fresh the food was I MEAN IT! Forget about the tables, unkept floor, the staff…GO HERE FOR THE FOOD!!! The food is so damn fresh and I haven’t eaten at chipotle in over a year because of the quality going down but once again…this location is the TRUTH! 100% coming back here again for the food alone!!! They might not be doing everything right but the food is chefs kiss ❤️

I am a big fan of Chipotle, and this one didn't disappoint with the food. My bowl was very fresh and flavorful, just exactly what I wanted to have. The ingredients tasted fine, and it was hearty, just like I know it is supposed to be. People at the counter were nice and prompt, even with the rush for dinner. I must take off a star, however, because the bathroom really was in poor condition. You wouldn't expect that from an otherwise very clean restaurant. It definitely took away from the overall experience. This place would easily be rated five stars if only they stepped up maintenance of the restrooms. Still, back for the food!

It was my first time ordering and the staff was nice to introduce to me the various dishes available. Although the bowl looks small, it is still a lot 😅 unfortunately I was unable to finish the food.

This is by far the best Chipotle I’ve visited lately. Portion size - very satisfying, friendliness of the staff - loved it, customer service- appreciated, cleanliness- all five stars.

My wife and I have been to DC several times over the last few years. Our goto place used to be District Taco. However, something has happened to the quality of their food. We were very happy to find a Chipotle nearby! I love my veggie bowl, I love that I can get extra black beans, unlike District Taco.

With least food options around the national mall, visited this place. Service was great, wait time in the queue is around 10-15 mins but tables availability is worst, only few tables available. Especially with kids it’s very difficult to manage, better take out and eat around national mall. Only between 12.30 and 2 pm it was crowded.

Food was on par for most locations but we came during the weekend of the inauguration and the dining area was in absolute dismay. Lots of food and trash on the floor and dirty tables. Like no one was keeping up with the dining area. Then while eating a customer became irate and threatened to call health department on them because they do not have a public restroom for customers; only employees. This was a first! What food establishment does not have facilities for dining patrons. And the staff was lack luster as well meaning they were there to do there job and nothing more, no personality and just borderline rude. I would have skipped this place altogether but it was later in the evening and one of the few places in the immediate area that was open.

UPDATE: service and portions have significantly improved since my initial review. Thank you and great work! (Past review) Very delicious half-servings of Mexican food with generous verbal abuse from the checkout staff. 5/5 for consistency.

Yikes.. Now I LOVE Chipotle, but I'd highly recommend skipping this location. I stopped in on a weekday around lunchtime and expected a line - I don't mind waiting at peak hours. The line was surprisingly fast, but that was the only good thing about my experience. The service was abrupt and rude, and the cashier was downright NASTY. She was yelling at everyone - fellow employees and those of us in line. Chicken was dry, $18 for a chicken bowl with guac (yes I know it's extra.) I recommend Seoul Spice or Potbelly's nearby, both are excellent and have kind service!

I recently had lunch here with a couple of friends, as it was within walking distance of our hotel. It was an okay experience - although it was lunch time on a Friday it was not yet very busy there. I wanted a couple orders of sides only but the employee didn't understand my order. Once they asked someone else, I was able to get what I was ordering. It's Chipotle so there is no waiting, just collect your food pay and sit. We were able to dine in without issue. It was neither great nor terrible. Given its simple menu and convenient location, I would dine again if I'm staying nearby again.

Management: what's up with the paltry portions for chicken and guacamole? I didn't get charged half price for half portions..like barely in my taco. Also the hard taco shells tasted stale. Isn't there a lawsuit or corporate policy regarding this?

Among other food, we asked for a quesadilla and was told can only order via the app. Refused to make the quesadilla for in person orders. Terrible. Manager should train staff to meet the needs of customers that otherwise would have spent money at their location. Instead took all business elsewhere. Take it off the menu board if you don't offer it... If I thought you cared I would contact you via your website...I won't because I don't want a free entree for my trouble. I want your location to learn and improve. Apologize here, not in a private automated message.

Been to this location a few times and it had missed the mark each time. The tables, seats, and floors are filthy. The staff is apathetic and treat you as if you're bothering them when you simply want to order / pick up an order. The ingredients used are not fresh and taste quite a bit off. I had a carnitas burrito yesterday, and the meat looked and tasted like lukewarm canned, shredded tuna. Yuck.

I am sitting here watching workers yelling at customers in line. One woman just walked out because she was berated for not ordering fast enough. I was berated at the register for adding chips to my order. This is literally insane to watch how rude these employees are.

This chipotle has to be one of the worst chipotles I've visited. All the workers seemed stressed out and it seemed like a very chaotic work environment. There was a manager in the back who was putting a lot of pressure on the assembly staff. I felt rushed while ordering and would not recommend anyone come back to this location.

Glad this location is here! Used to be Cosi (I'm not too sad they're gone). Happy to have a location close to my office! Recently placed a mobile order for a bowl. It was ready when I arrived. They were very generous. It was so much that I didn't finish it. I'll probably be a regular here for lunch when I'm in DC.

Employees are extremely unprofessional, rude, and demanding for no reason. I understand the lunch hour can get very busy, however, this is not an excuse to provide awfully small portions (for the price) and to not offer folks simple courtesy. The employee who usually works the register is extremely rude. She should not interact with customers.

Typical food hasn't ever changed other than the prices. Service was good this time. The inside needs a make over. The portable air conditioner at the order counter was weird. The kicker was they didn't even bother making the ICED TEA. However I paid for the cup to purchase the tea. Refund?

I have visited this location multiple times since it is close to my office, but I am upset that today I placed a mobile order for pickup and my order was incorrect. I received a bowl with steak instead of chicken, white rice instead of brown, and beans when I didn't ask for any. I have not had an issue like this before but this is something significant that I wanted to bring up. I think I will go order in store next time for a better experience and a correct order.

This location replaced what used to be a Cosi. The line is usually very long during lunch during the week. You can expect to wait up to 15 minutes to order. I've been here twice and both times various ingredients that should have been hot in my bowls were cold, notably the meat and the rice. Hopefully they work out the temperature issues.

Chipotle is always good. I came here on a weekday evening, got a salad bowl with a little bit of brown rice, pinto beans, pollo asado (which is different from regular chicken in that it has a different flavor), fajitas, pico de gallo, hot salsa, corn, cheese. I felt like the meat portion was very skimpy, and honestly, the pollo asado wasn't very different from their normal chicken. Big store, conveniently located, pretty clean. Good amount of food as usual, fresh ingredients.

Service was horrible! I asked for a quesadilla and I was told I couldn't get my food made the way I want it. Would not recommend

I ordered a taco for lunch, and it was so good. It has been a number of years since I last ate Chipotle. But this location opened recently, across the street from my job, and I got lunch there. I ordered for myself the kids Chipotle Build your own tacos. I got the kids meal because the serving size is perfect for me. The adult size is a bigger portion than I need or want. I ordered tacos, with sofritas, fajita veggies, romaine lettuce, salsa, and 2 Soft flour tortillas. It was perfect. I used the Chipotle app, and I saved this location and the order as a favorite. I'll certainly be getting this again, and I highly recommend it. Great job, Chipotle.
