The customer service was amazing. The burger is juicy and has great flavor. The chicken is moist and tasty. Fries are seasoned and crisp. I really enjoy the vinaigrette for the salad. Everything was made to order. And the night ends with a sweet note, a frozen treat Mango gelato and Pistachio baklava.

Chirping chicken is like an Upscale Chicken Spot. The food is fire! I've made 4 visits so far, I had the burger meal, Chicken breast, rice and beans, Caesar Salad, and the last time I was there I got the Fish Filet, Baked Sweet potato, and mixed salad. Everything was fire! And the portions are hefty. You really get a good bang for your buck. The atmosphere is chill and low key. You get a lot of hard working people who stop by to take a load off from work and get a good meal. Update 5/3/2023 Just got a chicken Caesar salad again and it was bomb.

I have heard good positive things about the Chirping Chicken. So I went there today for lunch. I was impressed with the layout and cute little tables outside, the guy at the counter was very nice. I was happy about the prices until I got my Chicken Nuggets and Fries. It was not fresh chicken but frozen! I don"t mind the French fries being frozen but the chicken. Sadly to say it was inedible. It tasted exactly like chicken nuggets TV dinners. This neighborhood place got good reviews. I don" t like giving bad reviews, but it is what it is. Will I go back? I dont think so. The Chirping Chicken is located at 1560 2nd Ave ( on the corner of 2nd Ave and 81st Street)

My order today was spoiled the chicken fingers. They sent me a replacement and they still tasted spoiled. This has never happened before. The guy said he would refund me but I didn’t get confirmation. He seemed mad. This is a health risk.

Rack of lamb riblets are noticeably not from New Zealand and too small. Include pita bread only if we ask. Rice is some kind of bland yellow and not really seasoned.

The food was very delicious but the service has room for improvement. While the cashier was polite and professional, one of the other workers was quite the opposite. I understand everyone can have a bad day but there’s a minimal level civility that should be maintained at all times. If you can’t do that, maybe that job isn’t for you.

I tried calling them to give them the heads up but they made me wait 3 minutes so now I post. Ordered today a platter, it came with a tine side of cucumber sauce which I look forward to but this time it was spoiled they should check their products before serving them to their customers. Makes you think what else they are overlooking. I will not be ordering here and anymore

Whole chicken for around $20 is such an incredible price. Meat is super clean and tender and perfectly charred. A whole chicken can last multiple meals. Love the naan on the side as well. Super clean and healthy overall. Incredibly quick delivery

had the baby back ribs, a whole rack, a dry rack that was well done, being able to bite the charred meat off the bone, absolutely "delish!"...am about to order again today and in the future...the palce is an UES Gem!....S.Somers....i would give it 5 Stars out of 5, or 10 out out of 10!....

Never disappoints. Fast. Relatively inexpensive until you add on the delivery app service charges and tips and all the other stuff. Great food. Timely. The chicken rocks!

I first experienced chirping chicken in the early 2000s when they had a restaurant in Astoria. At the time, it was a bit a novelty (at least in Astoria and for me) to have chicken cooked whole on a gigantic grill. It was amazingly good at first. As their popularity (and novelty, I guess) wore off... their food quality declined. Fast forward to ~2013, we, at work, started ordering lunch from them ~ weekly. To be honest, I am unsure as to which of their locations. Food was hit or miss. Some times their chicken would be nice and juicy and other times you'd be getting a dry up, room temp. chunk of stuff. We have recently rekindled with this business. Again, at work, we have ordered 2X form their Upper East Side location. Their menu has grown. They even have some seafood items. They give you choice as to "how you want your chicken"... Moist, Juicy or Extra Juicy, lol! I have tried both juicy and Extra Juicy and have found no difference :D I used to think that their tomato sauce (not ketchup. Not marinara) was the bomb! Would almost rival the green sauce they give you at the Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken restaurants. Either my taste buds have changed or they have changed their recipe (Still not a bad sauce, but they now charge you $1.5 for it). Unfortunately, I can not speak for their ambiance or service since we didn't dine in. Out of 7 of us who usually part take in these office lunches, 3 (I am one of them) give them 4 stars and the remainder give 'em 3stars. They have labeled our melas and bagged them separately every time and have delivered timely. I find them to be a very good value; the 1/2 chicken dark meat individual meal comes in at under $18! It's a lotta food for the $ (especially in the city!)

The choice of light OR dark meat makes this my favorite go to for delicious take out.

Great place for a quick bite. The chicken is flame broiled and that makes it taste soooooo good. I had a chicken souvlaki with feta and it was extremely satisfying. Definitely a place I recommend.

Yesterday I ordered 2 whole chickens And Xl salad. We enjoyed it so much But after we done with lunch I then realized that I didn't see wings And breast In both containers. I gave a benefit of doubt. The packer Could have forgotten. But in both order? Hmm. The Chirping chicken Has to be more careful on this online order orders. I am going to order again to see if they can do better

Bad service! I order a Chicken Gyro and there was no sauce in it! The food is expensive and very poor service.! This is the third time this has happen! Always in the weekends, today on a Sunday! Fix this!!

The chicken was beyond flavorless and was so dry that some parts felt more like bones than chicken. The pita bread was ok but I won't ever go back; I've never had chicken that dry and tasteless.

Was looking for a quick lunch so came here and ordered a quarter chicken meal with baked sweet potato as side. It was affordable. Nothing to brag about but it satisfied my craving for roast chicken & salad.

We ordered chicken and salad with mozzarella in it. Delicious meal and efficient service. I 100% would recommend.

I have eaten here for years and the food is real value for the money. One star for disrespect towards customers. The young lady who takes orders on the phone, says "stupid man" after she hangs up. She better learn where her salary comes from. It comes from her paying customers. No excuses.

5 stars for superbowl chicken wings plus sides!!! We ordered via phone and everything was perfect! Checked 2 days before that the order was correctly placed and voilà! Chicken wings delivered on superbowl day around 7pm (the time we requested!) Wings were reaaaally good, exceeded expectations, still warm and really crunchy on the outside! Beware for who can't eat spicy, they were a bit spicy (i guess the pepper?). It came with the 3 sauces (hot, bbq and ranch) on the side; they told us they always provide it on the side to avoid bland wings. So it was perfect! We also had fries (perfect), super crunchy and yummy onion rings, coleslaw and corn on the cob. This is the place!!!

I've been wanting to try this food for awhile now. Chicken was slimy, no flavor not crispy. Fries were OK, they would have been inedible if I had order this to go. Fries weren't hot even at the restaurant. Mac and cheese was absolutely disgusting. No flavor at all. The most bland Mac and cheese I've ever had. Terrible food. I spent $23 on a disgusting "meal".

Ordered food for lunch (i will say it definitely is not the most healthy thing xD)! Craving for a bit of chicken nuggets and it's pretty good value for 8 pieces and it is crunchy and delicious but I would prefer it has a bit less salt. The gyro platter was HUGE, i was only able to eat a small corner and felt full! Pretty decent place for a quick lunch place!

Chirping chicken is consistently good about their chicken! I've been a big fan for a while and have tried a lot of their locations. The chicken is flavorful, juicy, tender and cooked perfectly! This particular location has really nice staff that always seem to have the most patience when dealing with any customer no matter how demanding. I used to get Mealpal from here, my favorite is the Greek salad with the quarter chicken. Their portions are very generous so I usually have leftovers whenever I order from here. If you're a chicken fan I would highly recommend trying them out and sticking to the chicken with bones. I've had the grilled chicken breast and the flavor is fine but doesn't compare at all to the amazing taste of the regular chicken.

Chirping Chicken is a decent place to grab a quick bite. I arrived around 4:15pm on a Tuesday and the location was about half full (can seat around 15-20 people for dine-in). The cashier was friendly and as a bonus they were playing holiday music which was a nice pick-me up. I ordered a small portion of the chicken fingers with fries ($12.50). The small came with five chicken fingers. While the chicken was cooked well, it lacked flavor. The breading also was missing seasoning so overall, this dish depended on a dipping sauce to enhance its taste. I just made do with ketchup, but ended up using a substantial amount. The fries were also well done, but could have used a little more salt. The crispy exterior allowed to fry to hold its shape, yet the inside maintained the fluffy, potato texture. I would say even though the food portions are generous, the flavor is not worth $12.50. Overall, I feel like Chirping Chicken is intended to be more upscale than your neighborhood diner, and the taste of the food did not measure up to its price.

I got the half chicken white dinner with a salad and red beans. Everything tasted amazing and the pita was hot and soft and so so good!! I didn't want to eat the pita but I couldn't help myself!! I ordered at 8:07 on a Sunday night and it was at my door by 8:20! I was thrilled because I was hungry!! I tried the gyro last week and it was really good too!

Wish I could give a zero. Ordered online at 7:10 PM. Small order, burrito and chicken fingers. Online site said 30-45 minutes. At 8:10 I called and asked where my order was. After a bit of delay, the girl answering the phone said curtly, "be there in 10 mins" 8:45, my last order from Chirping Chicken arrived Review update: 9/13/2019. Friday night,ordered from CC on the way home from work. Order of wings and chicken strips sauce on the side. The order came a half hour late despite me advance ordering an hour and half earlier, Next the wings were too spicy despite ordering BBQ wings. Called up and spoke to someone who said he would send out plain grilled wings. Watched TV for an hour before I called them since they hadn't arrived. I was told by the voice on the phone, they're out for delivery. Was another half hour before I made an egg sandwich cause i was getting Hangry. Now, the rub, THEY NEVER GOT DELIVERED!!! So Chirping Chicken are COMPLETE LIARS!!!! WILL ABSOLUTELY NEVER EVER ORDER FROM THERE AGAIN, even if they were the only place on earth with food. Wish I could take their star away. They don't even deserve that. So if you want to play Russian roulette with your dinner choice, don't be disappointed if your food doesn't arrive. I will just say I told you so. And nobody ever wants to hear those words...

I really enjoyed most of the dishes I had here. We got the chicken gyro and it was amazing. The grilled chicken was fresh, the pita was warm and the yogurt sauce was a great compliment. We also got the chicken fingers and even thought they're expensive, the portion is huge. For 75 cents you're better off getting the large. My husband had the wings and also really enjoyed them. The only thing I didn't like was the Greek salad. There was so much water at the bottom of the salad bowl. I would probably get everything again except the Greek salad.

Fire Mexican food heavy on meat that ends up tasting like home cooked food. Valuable place for clean gains. Roughly $15 a meal. 5/5 stars as a lunch spot.

Chicken nuggets: 5/5 Crispy, tasty. Wish they had dipping sauces. Fries: 3/5 Crispy. No flavor, no salt. Chickem schaarma: 5/5 Tasty, pita bread was fluffy.

I love the Chirping Chicken!! I am going to add this on the list to come visit on the usualllllll. Service was was friendly! Casual dining. You order your food at the counter, they give you a number and bring your food over. The grilled chicken is absolutely delicious!! The sweet plantains are ripe and sweet. I opted for sides. Cons: I wasn't crazy about the macaroni and cheese only because the noodles were really well done. I do know that this is typical though for this type of food. Everything else was so great that I couldn't make it a 4 star review. Greek salad platter was a great combination. The grilled chicken, salad, rice, pita ($12) the olives were tasty and pitted. Sweet tea wasn't too sweet and it was made well ($3 each)

We ordered directly from the chirping chicken website for lunch. We ordered the whole chicken and wings, order came perfectly! I was worried as many people have experienced issues with their orders and delivery however I had the complete opposite experience. I even called the restaurant to confirm they had received my online order. Food was great! The chicken is extremely juicy and the sauce was very good! Ordered the fried chicken wings because we needed to indulge a little! Wings were tasty however it could have been crispier however I think that is probably the result of cramping them together in a plastic container trapped with the moisture. Otherwise, great food ordering experience and excellent chicken!

Great place for a quick bite, delivery or whatever. I usually order the salad with grilled chicken or the wings, strips. Either way, you can keep it somewhat healthy here with options. The Greek salad is pretty good.

The chirping chicken is such a great name for a chicken joint. I've ordered from here a couple times and it's consistently quality food. I think I'd order from here more often but it's surprisingly pricey for being a fast food place. I always get the roasted chicken which is always flavorful and juicy, esp when dipped with hot sauce.

Two stars. Have been a customer for years and wish I could order more often BUT the service sucks so bad and the ordering/delivery process is frustrating (and usually incorrect) 9 out of 10 times. Doesn't sound too appealing. The food is excellent and could be something I order 3-4 times a week easily, but I have serious dread every time I order because I know something will get screwed up or left out or there order will take a very long time for no reason (like over an hour). In addition, the phone etiquette is lacking. Not in terms of politeness but in terms of professionalism. I am hoping someone in upper management sees all these bad reviews and makes the necessary changes, so that I can spend my money here again.

Look it's still what it is. Food hasn't changed since the 1990s and that's a good thing. But prices have gotten very high. This used to be a place to get a cheap lunch but now it costs the same as everywhere else. $20 for a chicken. I have lots of other options at that price.

Just ordered the rib-eye and potato salad from this place thru Uber eats. Both were rancid and inedible. Both were very sour. The rib-eye made my teenage son sick. We also filed a food safety report with Uber eats as well. Do not order for this place!

I wish I can give this place a zero.My first time going there I'm waiting on line to be called to the front to order. A Guy on the side of me ask did I order yet because I suppose he was next.I said"No"..The guy at the front then proceeded to ask the guy what he wanted.I had to stop him and let him know that I was first.SMH.Then I order and the food took 20mins to finish mind u it was only a chicken Kaboob.20 ppl orders were ready wayyyyyy before mines.I stood there for 20 mins.The females was rude the whole staff was rude.They need better customer service .And I'm talking about Chirping Chicken in Grand Central Terminal.They get 00000000000 stars..

We had gotten take out roasted chicken with sides and it was very good. We decided to try eating at the restaurant. It looked like a deserted bus station in Allentown, PA. Had minor communication problems with the people at the desk. There was surprisingly good bottled beer available. The roasted chicken was as good as always. I made the mistake of ordering the "hot wings" without getting more specific information. They were breaded and deep fried, with hot sauce on the side. They weren't very good. I'm sticking with take out and roasted chicken only, although a few people were eating sandwiches on pita bread and seemed to be content.

The food is decent, but charging $15+ for basic chicken tenders and fries is absolutely absurd. I thought the girl was joking.

The food is okay came here to have lunch with my boyfriend I got the special 8 bbq wings and sweet mashed potatoes... I asked the cashier if it was good because this was my bf and me first time trying the food and she seemed like she loved the sweet mash potatoes. I was not a fan, they put raisins in it eww messed up the whole sweet potato, the wings were okay. My boyfriend got the chicken burrito bowl it was really yummy and he was happy with his choice, he also got sweet potato fries they were okay had to throw some salt and ketchup on them because they were regular. If I ever go back I would definitely stick to the burrito bowl it was pretty good.

Food is great and came out fast. Had to ask for dressing for a salad and the only bathroom is out of order. In my opinion if I eat dinner at your restaurant and can't use the bathroom, management has failed.

Ordered delivery and they never brought it. Called them and they said they had sent it. Called again 20 minutes later and they said they hadn't sent it yet and weren't going to send it.

Smaller portions and poor quality lately. My family has been ordering weekly from Chirping for a few years. Recently we've noticed that they've changed how they prepare the chicken and are giving much smaller portions. We called to complain as we felt ripped off by how little chicken was sent in the entrees and the manager advised that we weren't the only people to complain and the changes were the owner's doing. I suggest that they rethink these changes or they are going to lose repeat customers!

Solid choice for some fast casual style meals, focusing around chicken as a main protein (although other meats are available, not just chicken). I was surprised by how many differently types of options Chirping Chicken had on the menu - ranging anywhere from ribs, rotisserie chicken, wings and gyros. It's not exactly the cheapest quick meal, so you'll prob spend in the $10-15 range, but the quality is there. I went with the plain large wing plate (10 wings) and a side of black beans. The portion of black beans were huge! If I had known I'd get that much, I would have sizes down to the smaller wing plate (6 wings). It was all very good, but next time I'd get the spicy wings or another dish to try something else. Only thing we found lacking was the Mac and cheese my husband got. It tasted like easy mac. Other than that, the place was clean, the service friendly, and our food came out pretty quick!

The food here is solid and in very generous portions, which makes up for the price. The cost of a meal here is in the $10-$20 range, which is average NYC prices, but a bit on the pricey side for rice, beans, and a type of protein. The meat here is flavorful and service is quick. You order at the counter and they give you a number stand to place on your table. We waited about 5 minutes and our food was on our table and we were out the door in the next 15 minutes (we ate fast because we had a movie to catch). It's a casual dining fare so by all means enjoy your time there.

3 stars because last week I went in to order the Large Wings w/ Fries order and was out of there in under 10 mins with the best chicken I had in a while... -2 Stars because I ordered the exact meal as a delivery order yesterday and I didn't get the same experience. Here's why.... The delivery guy was playing dumb in the front of the building so that I would be forced to go down stairs for my food. I care for a baby and had to run downstairs carrying her to get my food. When I opened it... I realized that it was less wings than when I ordered it just a few days earlier, fries were soggy and box was resting to the side when handed to me.. in all with tax and tip I spend 27 dollars... was it worth it? No!! I won't order delivery next time. I'll pick up if I need chicken in the area.. for now I'll order takeout from another restaurant... too many places in the area, for me to be unhappy.

I called and ordered a chicken gyro with JUST ketchup. When I arrived, the hostess/cashier was on the phone, distracted. When I got home and opened the gyro, it had everything BUT ketchup. Lots of yogurt and salad, which I explicitly said I didn't want. I ordered another plate, that was alright but still, very disappointed with the service and the attention they pay to orders.

All hail!!! Chirping Chicken is the best!!! I I had "CC" yesterday for the second time. I want to be sure the first order was a lucky shot "on the grill". Savory is a pale word to describe this chicken "masterpiece". The juice running down my arm made me smile. Ps Order s yam as a side dish. It's "marrrrrvelous!!

It's A-OK in my book, but had to dock a star for a delivery that didn't come. These things happen, I guess, but it's hard to forget when the problem is acknowledged late and the solution was to offer only a modest discount... and another wait. But that's a whole other story and by no means should you not go here for one snafu. The food here is as advertised, chicken on the go (although they do have outdoor seating and serve beer/wine). The chicken ain't bad either. It's easy to nom out and finish a half chicken before you realize what happened (and all the people staring at you). Stick with the simple chicken and sides and you're golden, deviate and it's on you, hombre. I tried to warn ya. Speaking of, another warning: the chicken gyro is a chicken breast and then gyro toppings, not the traditional 'chicken gyro' you'd expect.
