"Yes, this South Dupont institution does in fact sell chocolate. Easter specials include fist-sized coconut Easter eggs, molded chocolate carrots and bunnies, and the usual selection of everything from penny candy to imported truffles." - Lisa Ruland

Google
The Neuhaus chocolate was good, I just wish the presentation and selection was better. The plastic liner and slots cheapens the overall look. I’ve tried this and compared it to Läderach Chocolate, the latter definitely tastes better (their praline box has better selection/presentation). I would recommend Läderach over the Neuhaus.

Google
Chocolate Chocolate... so good it has to be said twice! They offer a variety of chocolates, sourced from all over the world. The chocolate pieces look like art! It almost looks too cute to eat... almost being the key word here. It is evident based on the quality of the product, the aesthetic and the atmosphere that the owners/employees put their heart and soul into this local, family-owned business. Even if the chocolate wasn't amazing, I would continue to patron this shoppe for the stellar customer service.

Google
Such a cute gem tucked away! When I walked in, I was greeted by warm smiles and the sweet scent of chocolate. I got the Raspberry cordials, and they were absolutely delicious! Will for sure come back.

Google
The staff are super friendly. The store is very clean and even though it’s small, they have an amazing variety of classy chocolate. I really love the Washington Monument chocolates. They make unique and excellent gifts. Beautiful selection of Easter candy as well.

Google
Searched most of NW for a chocolate shop like this near the metro and Kron closed. Just north of Farragut North and walkable from DuPont circle, has multiple locally produced chocolates sold by the pound. The staff was friendly and helpful. Many other shops mostly sell expensive truffles and hot coco and imported chocolates, which was not what I was looking for.

The Chocolate Chocolate is the oasis in the middle of DC. Every time we go there, we felt welcomed with the smiles and the hospitality of the owners. They have the varieties of the candies and chocolates and also they have seasonal items which usually are lovely! I ordered the chocolates a few times during the pandemic, and they delivered them so well. I am going to order more for my treats!

Google
For some reason, DC doesn't have a whole lot of stores with pick & mix candy walls. This place is one of the only ones I've found, and I really like it! The store is quite small, and the selection is limited, but what they have is yummy. I didn't get any crazy expensive truffle selections, so my little bag of candy was only $2.30.

Ravishankar Sivasubramaniam

Google
Small chocolate store with excellent selection of classic European, eclectic and old fashioned chocolates.

Yelp
Great selection and helpful staff! The Christopher Elbow chocolates are great. Worth a visit!

Yelp
I work for a retirement community in Rockville. We had an afternoon trip planned to drive around DC. The night before I saw a review and decided to add this as our first stop. I didn't get the chance to let them know that we were coming. We parked the bus in front and filled the store. The ladies were very attentive to each of us and the variety of choices to pick from was amazing! If you love chocolate make it a priority to stop there!

Jamie J.

Yelp
I stop by here frequently to get gift boxes when i need them. People really enjoy the chocolates. The owners here are very sweet too.

G C.

Yelp
A gem lost in the busyness of town. Near Embassy row, this little shop is a real chocolate artisan gem. Had the best Neuhaus chocolate in town! Want some delicious melting and ephemeral monuments of Washington D.C. ? This chocolate shop has all you need in the little store. Your eyes will wander the shelves in quest of deliciousness. I recommend the Neuhaus Manon! Awesome butter praline with coffee flavor.

Clarissa B.

Yelp
The people running this business are just lovely. They were airing the store out when I arrived and I'd love to think it is because it smelled too strongly of chocolate (exactly what I'd expect with a name like chocolate chocolate!). They offered to help but I was just in awe of the many types of chocolate. I will admit I originally came because the internet said they sold Laderach chocolate, but I was unable to find any inside. However they had so many varieties and competitor brands that also make great chocolate. I bought some Neuhaus chocolate for friends and family which was very much enjoyed. Overall a great experience and I hope to be back the next time I have chocolate needs in the city!

Yelp
Happiness - 5/5 Deliciousness - 4.5/5 I now work a few steps from Chocolate Chocolate and I'm afraid I'm gonna put weight back on. They make lots of chocolates and chocolate dipped treats. By far the best (imo) are the non-pareils (sno-caps for those who like to use plain English). They have such a deep and rich flavor that absolutely melt in your mouth. My family was literally fighting over them this Thanksgiving. I have sampled a good handful of their other chocolates. While I have come across a few things that didn't leave much of an impression, I absolutely love their peanut butter cups, orange peel chocolates, and chocolate dipped pretzels. On top of that they have a wide array of chocolates from other providers, an affordable bulk candy selection, and some delicious looking chocolate monuments (like the capitol building and Washington monument). But what puts them over the top are the owners and employees. They are quick to greet you with a smile and engage in small talk as you shop. I also read a book authored by the owners loosely based on their parents' experiences in the Korean War and it is fantastic. Talented authors and chocolatiers? My wife may get jealous!

Brandice H.

Yelp
A shop so nice, they named it twice. I was In D.C. for a few days. At the end of my first full day there I found out about this store but it had closed for the day. The next day was my last day in this city. Toward the end of sight-seeing on foot, I just made it; I got hubby and kiddo back to the hotel safely and walked bout .4 miles as fast as my feet would take me getting there 10 minutes before closing. The shopkeepers were very nice and friendly. I got a variety of dark chocolate candies and they are so delicious. I am glad that I went.

Michael G.

Yelp
Nice selection. Friendly owner. Fine chocolates, caramels. Visited while in DC. Will go back again.

Yelp
If you're a downtown DC office dweller and need to pick something up for Valentine's Day or for any other special occasion, the aptly named Chocolate Chocolate is the place to shop. Located in entry way of a nondescript high-rise near Farragut square, the place is indeed teeny-tiny, which makes perusing the wares challenging, since every square inch from floor to ceiling is stocked with chocolate confections. Chocolate bars from South America and Europe, chocolate covered coffee beans and fruits, and an assortment of individual pieces tempt you in large glass cases. I was kind of disappointed that the only items they make on premises are the the house truffles, but these items were delectable. The caramel sea salt and dark chocolate had that rich deep flavor I've come to expect from high-quality cocoa beans, without that cheap almost waxy texture. Since this place carries high-end chocolates from around the world, no surprise that prices are higher here than at your neighborhood Target or World Market. But as the old saying goes, "you have to pay for quality," and quality is what you'll find at Chocolate Chocolate.

Lindsay G.

Yelp
This place is delightful. The chocolates are unique and more importantly, delicious! The owners are super friendly and make the experience top notch.

Nathalie K.

Yelp
Upscale high quality chocolate retailer in what used to be called "old Bethesda". Perfect for gifting occasions of all sorts, their chocolates are elegant, tasteful, and quickly gobbled up. This is the place where $40 will buy you 10 bite-sized bits, but they will be amongst the best chocolate you've eaten all year. Service is quick and professional. And the box the chocolates come in are elegantly wrapped. Chocolate varieties come in milk or dark, sea salt, peanut butter, hazelnut, raspberry, and much more. The place also serves beverages to round out its offerings, from coffees to hot chocolate. COVID precautions as of writing: - signage for masking, required mask for entry, all employees are masked -hand sanitizer available -signage suggested social distancing (but I would hardly call it enforced) -touchless/contactless payment options

Yelp
This place is great!!!! If the manager Koomo ever reads this or any of the owners please know that he was fantastic! I came in here with my mother just because we saw the word chocolate. Thank goodness we did. As soon as we walked in koomo (the manager) was making great reccomendations, telling us the vendor for each chocolate (they were from Switzerland) and just generally being a nice man! If you have a chance I would recommend the passion fruit truffle and the flour del sel which was sinfully delicious!!! The passion fruit was so good we bought two more!!!

Stephen P.

Yelp
Incredibly kind owners, delicious chocolate, they were so patient with us while we picked from the many options. Highly recommend

Carol F.

Yelp
A great variety of quality chocolates. I've ordered several times during the pandemic and everything has always arrived safely and was kept cold, when necessary. My husband brought me my first box of truffles from this shop 18 years ago and I've been receiving and buying from them since. I love that it is family owned - this sounds cheesy, but you can feel the love.

Bob W.

Yelp
I just love Chocolate Chocolate. Whenever I'm in the area, I make it a point to stop in. They have gorgeous truffles and chocolate bars from several different chocolatiers (local, national, international), as well as more humble offerings such as peppermint patties that are nevertheless a cut above the usual. Great people too!

Daniel B.

Yelp
I received a box of chocolates from Chocolate Chocolate as a gift from one of our clients based in Washington, DC. The silver box of 15 chocolates, wrapped with a red bow, was sent from DC to Atlanta. It was a pleasant surprise. I ended up eating almost half the box by myself in my office, but resisted the urge to eat more so I could give away the rest for others to try. The chocolates arrived in excellent condition. They looked great. They were presented in a 3x5 tray. Each chocolate was unique in its shape, flavor, and artistic design (e.g. color, drizzle, texture). Some of the chocolates were individually wrapped in colorful foil. Others had a ridged paper wrapping like a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. Some of the paper wrappings were hard to peel off because they had "ingrained" themselves into the sides of the chocolates. I blame that on the changing temperature conditions while the package was in transit. Like other sampler boxes or tins, I wish Chocolate Chocolate's gift boxes identified the different types of chocolate. Since there was no identification, each chocolate was a mystery and the flavors were a surprise. I'm not sure if that was intentional. I ended up looking up the flavors online and surmised I had received a "Nostalgic Collection" of chocolates inspired by chocolatiers from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Nostalgic chocolate assortment includes: Vanilla buttercream Cashew clusters Mint meltaways Cordial cherries Vanilla caramels Sea salt caramels Peanut butter smoothies Coconut clusters Peanut clusters Raisin clusters The variety of flavors and consistencies was nice from smooth and velvety to chewy and sticky. The cordial cherries really pop in your mouth. The cashew and peanut clusters are nice and crunchy. The raisin clusters reminded me of Nestle Raisinettes, but bigger and more decadent. Overall, the chocolates were quite enjoyable and perfect for the holiday season. I'm glad I was introduced to Chocolate Chocolate. If I'm ever in DC and on/around Connecticut Ave, I'll definitely have to check their shop out.

Yelp
This is a cute little place with unique and upscale, fun chocolates. Before you go, may I suggest that if you are driving you do a bit of planning on where to park as it is on a busy street with limitations. Also, it is a bit set back from the street so watch carefully for the address or small sign on the front of the building. Directions and location aside, it is a small place but filled with a lot of fun. I originally went because they have chocolate (dark, milk and white) replicas of Washington monuments such as the White House, the Capital, Washington Memorial and Jefferson monument. I think they make awesome gifts for people not in the DC area. They also carry a large selection of Neuhas and ligh. Chocolates, both by the piece and boxed. Finally, there are also some seasonal chocolates such as pumpkin and ghost chocolate lollipops (it was Halloween when I visited). I would definitely return again and if I have friends in from out of town bring them there as well.

Cecilia P.

Yelp
DC is fortunate to have such a wonderful chocolate shop with a fabulous inventory of exquisite chocolate. I have shoped there for years and always turn to them for holiday/birrthday presents. Ginger, Francie and Skip are friendly, welcoming and are experts at advising on best choices for my tastes. They truly are concerned about their customers and make sure that we have the best experience possible. They deservedly have a loyal following and I am thrilled that their business survived the challenges of COVID.

Natalia V.

Yelp
I received this as a gift over the holidays. I am constantly having overseas clients come and visit and I am always in the hunt for a little local gift I can give them that won't take a lot of luggage space. The presentation of the chocolates is very sophisticated and the chocolates are delicious. This will be now my go-to client gift.

Kera T.

Yelp
I used to come here way too much when I worked next door a few years ago, so it was a nice treat to be able to stop in when I was in the area the other week. I know the rents aren't lowering in Farragut North, but they've had a few price increases that made it hard for me to justify spending $12 on a small bag of candy. It was still delicious, staff is friendly, but I'd be totally broke if I still worked nearby lol

Andy F.

Yelp
I have had chocolate from everywhere, and if you want the best there is, look no further. If you like your chocolate different colors, or over fruit, or like that, I can't help you - they have that stuff too, but life is too short. I'm talking milk chocolate over caramel, chocolate covered almonds to die for, and don't get me started on their peanut butter cups. THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST

Ash C.

Yelp
OMGAHHHHHH SOOOOO GOOD YOU GUYS!!! My taste buds did somersaults as I bit into the beautiful passion fruit truffle - aaaahhhhh buttery outer layer encasing the passion fruit gelee like filling. Next I bit into one of the house made truffle which just made me regret I tasted it because it was soooo good I wanted to fly back to the shop and get some more LOL the coconut rum truffle is one of house made truffles which the owner highly recommended and so glad I bought it because this just kicks Bounty to the curb and crowns itself the best goshdarned coconut chocolate I ever tasted!!! I asked the pretty delightful owner where the chocolates were from and she said all over - international chocolate from belgian to truffles made in Missouri. This little charming chocolate shop is uper cute and you wont be able to escape without buying a chocolate or two. I'll be dreaming of these truffles tonight! What diet?! :-P

Jim W.

Yelp
Chocolate Chocolate is probably my favorite place on earth. The selection is magnificent, the quality divine, the atmosphere inviting, and the owners are as charming and sweet as their merchandise. I've been a customer in their shop for about 15 years. I recently moved out of the DC area but continue to order from Chocolate Chocolate for every anniversary, birthday, holiday, special event, and random chocolate craving. This shop is what I miss most about the city, no kidding. I'm just sorry that I'm not able to give a rating higher than five stars.

Heather T.

Yelp
Ok, I kinda like this place a lot. They take their chocolate very seriously, from Belgian chocolate, to delicate truffles to almond bark, but they also take their nostalgia candy seriously as well. I'd never had mint chocolate malted milk balls made with high quality chocolate before. What???!?! OMG, so good! This is my go to for mother and mother-in-law birthday/Christmas/Mother's Day gifts because now THEY love Chocolate Chocolate! It's my go to even though it involved a 40 minute drive to DC. Since Covid, I found I could have their chocolate shipped, which arrived beautifully packaged surrounded with ridiculous amounts of freezer packs to make sure it didn't melt. I love this fun little shop, and looking for an excuse to head down town to visit again!

Stephanie V.

Yelp
This is my go-to shop when I want to send thank-you gifts to friends, which I have done a lot recently. Each one has reported the perfect condition of the shipment and how delectable everything was. I LOVE Chocolate Chocolate--and you will too, I promise.

Stacy P.

Yelp
I love good chocolate shops, and Chocolate Chocolate has definitely made my return list. The man who assisted me was very helpful in selecting a box that would travel well back to Denver, and last until mid March (when my chocolate loving guest will be visiting... but I must admit that "someone" has already eaten three of the 18 chocolates in the box I bought.) So, with only three out of 18 sampled, I'm ready to give this place the full five stars. I went with the box from Laderach, made in Geneva. The pieces are exceptional, beautifully presented, and traveled well. Can't wait to share them (but those people better get here on time).

Bob K.

Yelp
Excellent place to buy the best chocolate in Northern Virginia. The prices are extremely reasonable and the service is 5 star. We have been going there for years and have never been disappointed. There packages make terrific gifts for customers and employees. Highly recommend!!!

Ben Y.

Yelp
I love the Lake Champlain truffles they have. Also the many different kinds of chocolate bars and marzipan and such are wonderful. The owners are very helpful and have never steered me wrong with their suggestions. Everyone I have ever given their chocolates to loves them as well. Update - Dec 2012, "So good I had to review it twice!" I have been eating dark chocolate pecan turtles by the pound and my wife loves the dark chocolate covered pretzels. The store has moved since I wrote the first review and they are now down the street on Connecticut Ave. Parking on the weekends isn't so bad. You can find meter parking a few blocks away fairly easily. They also have Saturday hours now, so visit on a weekend when there is parking! The owners are great!

Stacy W.

Yelp
Tiny little store but the chocolate is amazing. My favorite is the creamy dreamy. It is seriously a creamy little dreamy bite of hazelnut chocolate. I also got the chocolate chocolate piece for my mom and she said it was hands down the best dark chocolate she has ever had...and she likes chocolate a lot. I go here at least once a week. The people who work there are super friendly too and are always willing to help out if needed.

Brian L.

Yelp
The best selection of gourmet chocolate in DC! The owners and staff are warm and friendly and treat their customers like family (one big happy family of chocolate lovers!). I placed an on-line order this morning knowing that my chocolate will arrive quickly and safely packed in ice!

Tailor D.

Yelp
Chocolate Chocolate is a tiny gem in the Farragut area (literally across the street from Farragut North, 5 min walk from Farragut West, 10 minute walk from the Dupont Metro). Staff are knowledgeable and happy to help you choose something, but you will probably have to initiate the conversation and ask for help. Bars run from $3.95-$8.95 (which is very reasonable for a DC chocolate store). Truffle prices are a bit high at $2.50-3 a piece, but the ones made in-store are incredibly delicious! I fell in love with the uber dark truffle today. The cinnamon mixed in with the cocoa powder is a superb pairing with the incredibly smooth filling. Totally worth the money. They don't sell the super rare, exotic bars like Chocolate House in Adams Morgan, but they offer a very wide selection of Lake Champlain and Tazo bars (much wider than you will find at Whole Foods and the cost is slightly lower). Note: The store itself is wheelchair accessible, although quite tiny.

Gayle G.

Yelp
Like CJ mentioned in his review, they sell chocolate versions of the most recognizable DC landmarks here. I was at a wedding where those chocolates were the favors and I thought that was very clever. Inside this bright store (it is a nice change to go to a candy store where you can actually see what you want to buy) the chocolate is the main attraction. The store also sells all sorts of sugary treats like jelly beans by the pound. But, like I said, chocolate is the star. So, what to get?? - Peanut butter chocolate patties. So much better than Reese's. Trust me on this one. - Chocolate "bark" with almonds. Nutty goodness. Just ask the friendly staff to box it up for your sweetie or for yourself. You deserve it!!

Daniel W.

Yelp
I first started coming to Chocolate Chocolate 25 years ago(!) when I lived in DC. It's an independent, high end chocolate shop. The owners are passionate about their chocolate and know their product. If you are a connoisseur, this is the place for you. I currently live in the NY area and this is one of my go-to places for holiday gifts.

Karen L.

Yelp
Distinctively delicious - you will find your chocolate favorites as well as special flavor combinations and designs - even DC monuments wrapped in gold. And where else can you buy finely crafted chocolates AND books in the same shop by the same creators??? What a place to strike up a conversation!!

Jim E.

Yelp
This little shop is well worth going out of your way to visit. There is such a wonderful variety of treats to explore; my favorites are the truffles and the almond bark. If it wasn't quality, Ginger would not have it in her store. It's just a fun shop to visit for all ages!

Sasha M.

Yelp
Awesome little chocolate store! Came in to purchase some treats as gifts. Got a variety box of chocolates and got a chocolate bar that's milk chocolate with biscuits. Tried both, very delicious! Customer service was exceptional, the lady who helped us was very friendly and knowledgeable about all the chocolate in the store. Definitely recommend this store to all chocolate lovers!

Vishal S.

Yelp
This is a jewel of a store for all Chocolate lovers! They carry incredibly good chocolate for all occasions at a price that is comparable to the competition. They also carry my favorite brand Laderach - a must try for all :) Their in-house chocolate is good too. The employees are always ready to help and guide you if you need assistance :)

Jewel D.

Yelp
While taking a sunny stroll with my daughter out of the corner of my eye I see the word Chocolate. We make a bee-line to discover the most welcoming, funny and chocolate expert Koomo, the manager. Everything he suggested was outstanding! Sad to leave these delicacies but needing to go home, we popped the passionfruit chocolate confection in our mouths and said goodbye. But wait...it was so good, we turned around in the rain, fought the wind, re-entered the store to purchase some more. You rock Koomo!!!!!

Shera S.

Yelp
Addictive. Seriously, I can't help myself to the mint chocolate malt balls, and I never liked malt-balls before! I started working on this block of Connecticut Ave about 6 months ago and was first introduced to the Malt-balls by a co-worker. The other treats a great as well, truffles, chocolates in the shape of the US capitol building. The one thing I can't do is their homemade hot chocolate, It's just so powerful. I have to add a ton of milk and that takes away from how its MEANT to be. The staff is also great, super friendly. And side note, one of the owners (I think?) wrote some children's books and so they are on the shelf alongside the candy.

Lia M.

Yelp
I've been to Chocolate Chocolate a few times, and really like it. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a good assortment of Taza chocolate, which is mainly why I stop in, but I've had some of the truffles too. Not only are they beautiful, they are tasty as well. I definitely recommend Chocolate Chocolate as a great place to get gifts and treats.

Megan W.

Yelp
Chocolate Chocolate is one of the best kept secrets in the Golden Triangle area of D.C. Behind the glass doors is a gem of a shop packed wall-to-wall with all of the chocolate and other delightful treats that you can dream of. The service is impeccable. The shop is owned by two sisters who always have great recommendations for perfect treats, whether you are looking for a gift for a friend or for yourself (and let's face it, you should always buy chocolate for both friends and yourself). The shop has everything from familiar standbys to more avant garde delights; make a point to try them all. Pro tip: go for the boardwalk crunch in the nostalgia case or the Christopher Elbow lavender caramels. And during these unprecedented times, they are offering convenient pick up service! This place is absolutely wonderful!

Omar S.

Yelp
This is a true gem in the District. If you're ever in need of a deliciously edible gift, this is your place. I don't recall the name of the woman who helped me when I stopped by, but she was very kind and helpful, carefully explaining the subtle differences between the boxed chocolates I was considering. Even though the store is small, it packs plenty of options, with a diverse assortment of milk, dark, and white chocolate. You can select pre-packaged chocolates, or you can pick from the display and individualize your choices. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality of chocolate.

Darin S.

Yelp
Excellent little local candy store featuring many DC made chocolates. Good place to get a souvenir.

Sharon V.

Yelp
I stumbled on this place as I was shopping in the area. I was so excited to find out that this was rated one of the best chocolate shops in D.C. - I left even more excited to try each of my little chocolate surprises. Since it was only me in town, my hubby was expected 3 day later, I tried to be selective. I wasn't very successful though because I ended up buying nearly $25 worth of chocolates. Not sure I consider that a bad thing though. I figured I'd nibble on a few and when he comes, we can enjoy the rest together. I ended up just having a few of them and then got so busy, the bag sat on my desk in the hotel for the next days. Here's what I tried: House Truffle - Divine and one of the best truffles I've had ! it had a dark chocolate ganache center with a generous dusting of cocoa. Usually the cocoa would be too bitter but it balanced the truffle out perfectly with the ganache. in two bites, gone! Glad I got two! = ) I'll save it for later.... Carmel with Sea Salt - this was one of my favorites. Sweet and salty...what a great combination. I knew this would be a favorite of mine and the hubbies so I got 3 in milk chocolate and 2 in dark chocolate. the one I had was great. Almond bark - a house favorite so had to get this one as well. I had a few bites of this and reserved the rest for my hubby to enjoy. I'm a sucker for milk chocolate and nuts so I was all over this. It took everything in me to not eat the rest...I should've! When he arrived at my hotel at midnight, the bag was nearly full. When I woke up, the bag was EMPTY with just one morsel left. I nearly strangled him. Milk Chocolate English toffees - According to my husband, these were great. So much for him being a dark chocolate fan! Other things that I wasn't able to try but I hear were delicious were the Peanut clusters, Hazelnut truffles and a few others I can't remember what I bought and he can't remember what he devoured! I look forward to my return trip back to D.C. so I can get another dose of Chocolate Chocolate. Service was fantastic and I thought the prices were reasonable. Next time, I won't even be sharing with the hubby. He owes me big time! Definitely hit up this spot in D.C. if you enjoy great chocolate. I'm a big FAN!

Racquel H.

Yelp
I work right around the corner from this store and had never been inside. I went in a few days ago and was taken aback when I opened the door to the smell of rich chocolate: the sign of a true Chocolatier. I was very pleased to find that it was a cozy little shop with all kinds of chocolate varieties. I wish I had more time to really shop in there but for my first time my experience was great. I left with 4 chocolate balls with chocolate filling (I don't know what the actual names of the candies were). They were delicious! I was a little mad about the price at first until I started to enjoy them one-by-one and realized that this was a perfect little size for me to enjoy in moderation. I was also pleased to see that the co-owners (I think?) were selling books that they wrote, especially the book about the chocolate store that I was standing inside. It was so inspiring. I will be back again with more money.

Richa T.

Yelp
Hands down, this place has the best chocolate I've tried! For me, chocolate and coconut mixed together is simply heavenly. Knowing I'd been craving chocolate, the so very gracious boyfriend surprised me with an assortment of truffles, coconut clusters- milk and dark chocolate as well as the dark chocolate covered almonds from Chocolate Chocolate. I haven't ever been a fan of dark chocolate....until now. I definitely see why the chocolate covered almonds is a house favorite. It's delicious!! The coconut clusters were wonderful, nice crunchy coconut covered in chocolate...yum!! Since it was a box of assortment, I figured I would nibble on about 2 every day and it would last me a while....but I was wrong. The entire box was gone in 2 days!! Great place if you ever want to treat yourself :)

Monica S.

Yelp
Oh my, I have no idea why it's taken me so long to try Chocolate Chocolate treats, but I am hooked. I am enjoying the chocolate-covered toffees, which are delectable, even though they look too pretty to eat! Also, I am impressed with the ingredients. Well-done, Ginger!

Theresa W.

Yelp
Really nice little shop steps from Farragut North. And it really is little. The salesperson was friendly and helpful--I couldn't decide between the peanut butter bomb or the peanut butter cup. Decisions! He described the merits of each and weighed in with his pick. Of course I was annoying and went against his advice. They have a bunch of candy you can buy by the pound. But the real prizes are the huge assortment of unusually flavored truffles and other chocolate treats like the bombs, chocolate and toffee covered pretzels, and chocolate covered toffee with a nice dusting of almonds. They also have packaged gourmet chocolates including a lot of fair trade chocolates, Vosges bacon chocolate! and chocolate covered potato chips, which I had to try. I would've preferred less chocolate and more salty chippiness, but not bad as a novelty item. Prices are comparable to other independent chocolate shops--expensive. But it's a great place to pick up a present for someone truly deserving or a unique treat for yourself.

CJ M.

Yelp
A lovely little sweet shop located on the entrance level of an office building--adjacent to Faragut North Metro exit on L St. As the name suggests, the store carries a tasty variety of chocolate treats. Some are fairly common, chocolate covered pretzels, peppermint patties, etc, but they also carry higher end chocolates by the piece and in beautiful boxes. My favorite option is their selection of by-the-pound select it yourself candies--Swedish fish, gummi bears, jordan almonds, and many others. It is easy to pick up a afternoon snack for under $2. In addition to a great selection they also have a very, very friendly and helpful staff. What a great combination! HINT--If you are ever looking for a "very DC" gift for someone, this store usually has replicas of DC landmarks (Washington Monument, White House, Capitol) in both white and dark chocolate. You may want to call to check on stock before heading over.
