The food, service and atmosphere are exceptional. We have had our usual Chinese restaurants in South Salem forever but their food quality went downhill since the pandemic. Enter Chopstick Bros. The food, in particular the veggies, were so fresh and delicious. The servings are huge so definitely worth it for the price. I had Kung Pao chicken and my wife had Hawaiian chicken. Both absolutely delicious. Along with amazing potstickers for an appetizer. We’ll be back often and we highly recommend this great restaurant.

I stopped by unexpectedly, but everything was delicious, and service from the male server was great! Everything looked so scrumptious that we even ordered a few extra plates while we were there; just to try more. Our favorites were the Lanzhou Noodles (add some of the pho sauce on it), spicy wontons (probably the best I've had), and the Chow Mein was so good They're seriously addictive! 🔥 My only cons were very preference based, like the Singapore noodles were a little heavy on the curry, and the orange chicken is the one that's on the sweeter side! But aside from that, I would 100% go back!

First off, I realize this could be sacrilege or heresy to some, but I've never been a big fan of Chinese food. I find myself looking at the menu and wondering wtf 99% of the food is. If I don't know what it is, Do I really want to take that risk? Thereafter I once again find myself contemplating life as I'm stuck on a toilet for hours wondering how I went so wrong in life to end up at that exact moment. Oh right...Chinese food. Everyone I know generally has the same issue. Can't imagine a household of 10 people sharing one Toilet after eating Chinese food....That's a horrifying thought. Chopstick Brothers however, Totally different story. Other Chinese restuarants, Please take note. General Tsos chicken: OMG!!!! Fn mind BLOWN! So damn crispy, So juicy, literally explodes with flavor as you bite into it. It comes out piping hot with a side of perfectly cooked rice. And yes I have to notate the rice. Many believe "Oh it's rice, how can you screw that up." Don't mind those people, They are simpletons, with no idea of the complexity that goes into creating the PERFECT RICE!!!! I can tell that this fine establishment understands the meaning and depth of the secret techniques behind Perfect rice. Pho: Mmmmmmmm super delicious!!!! You take one sip, Next thing you know the whole bowls empty and your reaching across the table strangling your best friend asking WHO DRANK ALL MY SOUP!!!!!! Later after losing your best friend....You realize, It was you who drank all the delicious soup. but you were lost in bliss, enjoying the perfectly balanced spices and aroma, So how could you possibly have known? It's basically your best friends fault. He should have just bought you another bowl of Pho. That's what best friends are for, right? Service: We were seated immediately and the server was very polite and helpful. After ordering im pretty sure we got our food in world record time. It was literally less than 5 minutes. Most places if I got it at that speed, I'd be a little concerned, But my fears were alleviated after trying it. It was simply just them being hyper super supreme chefs with unheard of and unparalleled speeds, serving God tier dishes at a local restuarant near you!!!! Atmosphere: Clean, Very well put together place, with a great ambiance. I highly recommened this place.

WOW!!! Absolutely amazing! Food was Fresh, big portions, Definitely my new go to for Chinese/noodles. Highly recommend!

Google
I ordered lunch and everything was generally positive. I asked for very little sauce and oil, and what I got was perfect. Crab rangoons were tasty. The hot and sour soup was unique. It almost tasted like they used the broth from Bun Bo Hue. The massive amount of rice dwarfed the lunch portion. It was rice and lots of egg bits. Not really fried, and no little pleasant pieces of onion, carrots or celery. However, the lunch was totally worth it.

Google
The service was good and everyone worked with a smile and great attitude. I really enjoyed the interior look of the restaurant and all of the plants! The food was great and delicious. I would say my favorite was the Beijing zhajiang noodle dish and the tingling spicy beef appetizer. Overall a great addition to Salem, and would love to come back again to try more noodle dishes! My only comment would be the possible adjustment of spice levels on the food. I would have loved an extra spicy option! :))

Google
1st time was nice and clean. Server David was great! The food was super hot and delicious!! Tonight, 2-16-25, we met Austin!! He was an amazing server and enjoyed his follow-up questions..

Google
Came here for the end of lunch. Prices are excellent in my opinion for the amount of food you get and the quality. The food came out very fast and tasted very fresh except for my crab puff, which was actually cold on the inside. General Tsao chicken is what I always order from Chinese food places, and I must say that this is the best flavor I've had so far. I asked to have it extra spicy, which they did, but the spice was still underwhelming. The flavor though was excellent! The egg fried rice was also very good, light and fluffy. The place is very clean and still very new looking. I gave 4 stars on service because it took a while for our server to get around to us, and there were only a few tables seated. We were also forgot about when we asked for extra sweet and sour sauce. Other than those few nit picks, I can't complain. I will definitely come back to try some other food items. I would recommend this place to everyone to try.

Yelp
The food is good and service is fine. It got four stars instead of five because everything is just average. A nice dinner, but nothing particularly notable.

Yelp
Driving through town and stopped here for lunch. Came in right at noon. Please was not super crowded. About half the tables were seated. Took a couple of minutes for someone to notice me and seat me. It took probably another 20 mins before someone came to take my order. The waiting staff seem a little overwhelmed. But my waiter was nice to answer all my questions and make recommendations. I tried the spicy wonton and the Taiwan Beef noodle soup. The spicy wonton was underwhelming. I specifically asked for no cilantro, and as you can see in the photo, it's covered in cilantro. The sauce was heavy on soy sauce and light on spice. Wontons were ok. At this point I was quite unhappy. Fortunately The beef noodle soup came very quickly and is very flavorful. Probably the redeeming point of the whole meal. The meat was hearty and well cooked. The soup is well balanced. Definitely recommend. So - please add a few more staff members during lunch. I don't think normal folks have that much time to wait during lunch hour.

Yelp
It was chinese food. The wait staff weren't overly friendly, but were pretty available for drink refills. I'm not really sure what style of decor they're going for. Inside it's sort of....fake Asian restaurant? Like, it seems to be Chinese food but not from a Chinese Restaurant, except kinda? I don't know. Not that it matters, I just am hard pressed to describe it. The food itself was alright. I had sweet and sour chicken, and my kids had General Tso's. They all came with white rice. It was okay. I mean....it was okay. I wish I could say something more about it. We ate. We got full. We left. We paid 70 bucks, roughly. (for four meals, their friend got an entree but he didn't tell me what he thought about it so I'm not putting his in here). I don't really see going back. But if we wanted Chinese food and were in the area, it's significantly better than Great Wall Buffet. Parking lot is...awkward and cramped. Not very well designed.

Roy B.

Yelp
Never again, I was not after a Mexican version of Chinese food , I wanted kung pao chicken, not sure what they served me, the meat was dry and the dish was mostly peppers, the price was up but the portions were down. I used to eat there in the past and it's really not worth the money now.
google avatar

Ruby A.

Yelp
First off, the restaurant is clean and open to light. The service was fast and the food came out quickly. The food was amazing. The egg flower soup is quite hardy. It had a ton of extra stuff in it that most people gf flower soups do not. My friend got the sweet and sour chicken. The breading was light and crispy and the sauce was delicious, not that fake neon pink stuff. I got the garlic chicken. The sauce was delicious, and the veggies were crisp. The egg fried rice was so good that I didn't need to add anything to it. I also got their Lanzhou beef noodle soup. I haven't tasted it yet, but the presentation was gorgeous. We both ordered off the lunch menu. You get a TON of food and the price is exceptional.

Yelp
First time to this beautiful little gem! The inside is clean and warm and very friendly! Reminded me of the lunch spots my husband and I used to frequent in Thailand. The service was fast and wonderful. The place was full of customers and our food was before us after 10min from ordering!! Amazing! Jim ordered the Won ton Soup. Boy was that delicious! Tons of wontons and the broth was wonderful. It was a pho brother very good! Was very close to what I make at home. I ordered the Mongolian shrimp lunch special. It came with hot and sour soup( fantastic) 2 crab ragoon wonderful tons , friend rice and a huge plate of Mongolian shrimp. It was all delicious. I have enough for 2 more meals! The rice was so good. More like a Thai friend rice. Which I love! This family knows their stuff! Bravo!

Brian V.

Yelp
This was sad because Chopstick Bros is usually consistent and dependable but the food today was terrible. We got food to go - Completely bland - the wonton noodle soup was just chicken broth lacking even salt. No ginger or garlic detected. Mongolian beef was tasteless - just slightly sweet no other flavor- ended up throwing it away. Not sure what happened but I'm disappointed.

Erogf F.

Yelp
Tasty food, meals served very quickly by friendly staff. Clean and freshly renewed dining area! Take out is easy. Great spot.
google avatar

Neko K.

Yelp
This place is busy. Waiters are not conversant with the menu items flavors. The ambiance is a blend of Asian and mall cafe. For most locals or Midwest transplants the food will be a step up from most long time Salem Cantonese restaurants. If you are a noodle head, lived in a city with housemade northern Chinese noodles or like intense flavors this place will disappoint.
google avatar

Junie P.

Yelp
The food tastes like salt water. I think that's the only seasoning they use, salt. Don't recommend
google avatar

Ishaan S.

Yelp
Their lunch special is so affordable and delicious. The hot and sour soup especially is my favorite.
google avatar

Sara Q.

Yelp
Clean, quick, excellent service, nice booths to sit in and the food was amazing five stars! Everything was fresh and delicious. I had the cashew shrimp which was the best I have ever had. He had the orange chicken which I also tried and it was perfect. Pork fried rice is full of meat. The crab puffs are great and so was the tempura shrimp. Will definitely be a regular stop :)
google avatar

Phil C.

Yelp
Ordered food for pickup. It was done on time and the transaction process was pretty simple. Ordered the chicken chow mein, General Tso chicken, and Kung pao chicken. Chicken chow mein was light in flavor, while Kung pao had some heat. General Tso was sweeter than others I have tried. Overall, it was decent. But, after reading other reviews, I was surprised not to be more impressed. Portion sizes were okay. Not huge as stated by others.
google avatar

Teresa R.

Yelp
Very clean and bright restaurant. The food is delicious and decent serving size. There are no combination meals that are typically common.
google avatar

Lana G.

Yelp
We have now eaten at Chopstick Brothers several times. We have found the food to be delicious and reasonably priced. The service was timely and helpful, even when I was with a larger group of several people. My current favorite is General Tao's chicken.

Yelp
This was our 4th visit to Chopstick Brothers. We were seated quickly for a Friday. The special was Walnut Shrimp, so we decided to give it a try. We started with potstickers, steamed, then pan-fried. They were served on a bed of shredded cabbage. They were delicious as always. The Walnut Shrimp with steamed rice arrived shortly after we finished the potstickers. It was so good! The shrimp were tempura battered and fried, piled in a mound above a ring of steamed broccoli, sprinkled with candied walnuts and drizzled with a creamy honey sauce. The restaurant filled up quickly and there were plenty of lively conversations going on. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because we had to wait longer than expected for our leftover container, fortune cookies, and check.
google avatar

Max M.

Yelp
They had good service, but their food borders on bland. They calamari we ordered and an appetizer was just that. Fried squid with batter, but no sauce and virtually no seasoning. I had to ask for some sweet hot sauce to go with it. I ordered their general's chicken. It was just battered chicken with sauce. No bell peppers or any other vegetable. Overall, my expectations were high, but they didn't meet them. I will go again to give them a second chance. Their restaurant is beautiful and their service was good. The parking is a little tight.
google avatar

Nanci K.

Yelp
Got take away last week & it was just delicious! The noodles were so good & everyone really enjoyed everything we ordered. The wonton soup my mom had was just right with chicken & veggies, and the stock was amazing. Dad had beef pho which he thoroughly enjoyed. I tried the Beijing Zhaxiang Noodles with spicy pork, carrots, bean sprouts & green onions all in a spicy and super tasty sauce. I know the folks have been in and love the service and the atmosphere. Definitely great modern twist on traditional Asian dishes!
google avatar

Jei M.

Yelp
Service was meh. Food was not good. Didn't seem clean as there were fruit flies flying about. I'm wondering if anyone leaving a positive review has ever had good food because I can't in good conscience leave higher than 1 star. We left this place utterly disappointed.
google avatar

Ruth B.

Yelp
Super tight parking. Big pickups don't fit in the spaces and make it hard to maneuver the lot. One way in...loop around parked cars and back out the way you came in. Very clean and modern building. Great job on the remodel. Food was hot and tasty. Ample portions. I am starting to see a trend where some restaurants are shrinking the height of the dish for a cup of soup to cut costs. Not these guys, they still have the traditional cup so that was a plus. Very common menu items. Curries, sweet sour, General Tao, Kung Pao etc. No Egg Foo Young which is what my dad was hoping for. They do have several noodle bowls to choose from. There was nothing extraordinary about the menu selections or the food itself. Service was okay nothing really to comment on for that. I do like that the to-go boxes are reusable containers and not styrofoam.

Aiden R.

Yelp
Food is very great! Pho doesn't even take long to cook, Thai tea is very delicious, and staff members are nice too! Not to mention one of them is family members of mine so it helps with review! The inside of the restaurant is VERY nice in my opinion. You don't have to go to this place but like I'm still gonna eat here
google avatar

Charlena B.

Yelp
Food was delish. Ordered some yakisoba. The sauce was tasty, the veggies were perfectly cooked, the chicken was moist. Looking forward to going back when we are back in town.
google avatar

Tiffany D.

Yelp
If you're looking for solid Chinese food, look no further. I've been disappointed by a number of locations around town but I was so pleased with Chopstick Brothers. We were also with a picky eater who was impressed. I ordered Kung Pao Deluxe (steamed rice not pictured), the Crab Rangoon appetizer (delicious), Sweet and Sour Chicken (also delicious), Spicy Beef and Mongolian Beef-- which I didn't try but was given the thumbs up for both. Im looking forward to going again, likely to try a lunch special!
google avatar

Dana H.

Yelp
They are not cheap, but they are definitely kind of an upscale Chinese place. And so delicious. The portions are large enough to have some to take home. Just really yummy. Sadly, we always seem to wanna go on Tuesdays, when they are closed! I like the menu item with, like, every kind of seafood in it. It even has scallops. My daughter and I both liked the General Tso's chicken. Very yummy if you can afford the place.
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
I love this place. I always see mixed reviews on Facebook but I've yet to have a bad experience. The ladies are always kind when I come to get my take out. I love that they serve Thai tea. My favorite go-to order is the General Tso's chicken with fried rice as well as the crab puffs. I'm definitely going to be back again as well as looking forward to trying more things.

Dana V.

Yelp
First time to Chopsticks Brothers yesterday foe lunch. Clean. Well lit. Comfortable. Service good. Food Amazing! We started off with chicken lettuce wraps and we so happy with them. They are just as good as the PF Chang's lettuce wraps. We ordered deom the lunch menu. Each lunch comes with choice of soup l, egg flour or hot and spicy plus fried rice and two cream cheese puffs. I had the double mushroom with shrimp it was perfect. Veggies cooked perfectly with some crunch. The rice was fluffy not greasy. My husband had the Mongolian beef. He loved it. We are foodies and we five this restaurant 5 stars! It was so much food we had leftovers. Later around 630 we said "lets go back for dinner!" We would have but we live 22 miles from Salem. We will definitely go back! Clean
google avatar

Paige S.

Yelp
Decent American-Chinese restaurant in Salem. I do wish they had a vegetable dish or two. I enjoy their food, but it is quite greasy, so some vegetable dishes might add some balance. Having said that, they offer great mandarin chicken. Their spicy wontons are a favorite in our house. I love their chow mein, I even find myself craving the celery in it. Wonderful service, and many familiar faces from Momiji. Great ambiance as well. Lately I've noticed some inconsistency in their food quality, but this could be an anomaly as they are typically consistently good.

Terese D.

Yelp
The food is mediocre, and the price higher than most places. But service was good. I also liked the ambience.

Nina R.

Yelp
Great food and customer service! Love their Thai tea so creamy! Not too bad on the wait when you order food.
google avatar

Dillon W.

Yelp
We visited for a weekday lunch. They have a lunch menu which is priced $2-$3 less than dinner entrees. The lunch includes wontons (2), soup, and fried rice which is a perk the dinner entree doesn't come with. The food arrived quickly and was nicely prepared. The food tastes good but a bit more bland than I prefer. A bit more spice or seasoning was desired. The restaurant is clean, well laid out, and has a simple / sleek decor. The parking situation takes patience but has ample space. Definitely worth a try and will be back!
google avatar

Lorna V.

Yelp
Great tasting Chinese! Fresh with lots of veggies! Nice ambiance and very clean! For some reason it's hard to call in an order, they were having problems with their phones so go on their website!

Ashley C.

Yelp
Always great service and food! Came for the second time tonight, 45 minutes before they closed. Food and service was wonderful! We don't live in this side of town or we would visit often. Highly recommended.

Arthur M.

Yelp
Generally this restaurant is good. This week, we had beef and broccoli for takeout. The dish did not have any flavor. The beef and the broccoli was cooked tender enough, but there was no oyster sauce flavor...not even any soy sauce flavor.
google avatar

Craig H.

Yelp
First time diner at this place. Fast service, generous portions, and delicious food spiced just right. Very attentive servers and extraordinarily clean place. The chairs are very uncomfortable, so we asked to be seated in booth which was 100% better. 5 stars for food and service but minus 1 star for terrible chairs. We will return, but wait for a booth.
google avatar

Yama Y.

Yelp
I was really hungry for some good Chinese food. I found this restaurant on Yelp. The parking lot was packed. We ordered takeout. Service was quick while we waited in the seating area near the front door. For those that dined in, they sat at tables. The menu is limited in choices, but each dish was tasty. We had the shrimp tempura and Kung Pao Chicken. That was lots of food for the two of us. If you want a quick place to grab some quality Chinese food, this is a great spot.
google avatar

Michael E.

Yelp
Had an early dinner here. Very clean and great service. We had the Mongolian style with chicken and the Mandarin Deluxe. Both were delicious with fresh veggies and a little spice.
google avatar

Carmen R.

Yelp
Hi! i came here for the first time alone, and the second time within the same week with my niece. staff was amazing and super attentive of the customers dining in. The layout of the restaurant is really nice, they even have an open concept where they serve the tea and drinks from. The food comes out hot and always just what i was expecting. even better. the thai tea is worth getting just super good and creamy. my favorite has to be the sweet-and-sour chicken. biting into the sweet-and-sour has this amazing crisp you would expect to get. I would recommend eating the sauced parts first. Mongolian beef was good, but not my overall favorite, I just enjoy stuff like broccoli beef more. I just love broccoli a lot, and this dish really represented. my niece wanted the vegetable chow mein, she said she mainly dug for noodles, so when I got to eat the dish, I got the straggled ones lol. No complaints but a lot of their dishes including the Mongolian beef have a lot of vegetables which really tie into the taste. if you're like me, and waited to come here, just go. it was worth it and added a new restaurant to my list. :)
google avatar

Jodi H.

Yelp
I understand that this is a newer restaurant so I always try to give some grace as the kinks get worked out. We arrived and were seated quickly. The ambiance was pretty generic. Noticed that there were no chopsticks and non were offered, seemed odd as "chopsticks" is in the name of the restaurant. Our food arrived in record time which was a plus, especially if you have kids or grandkids. I had the Wonton Soup. The broth was clean but missing salt and was bland, think the difference of homemade bone broth and boxed broth, do depth of flavor. I had asked for chili oil and added a bit of soy sauce which helped. The wontons were tender as well as the shrimp. My husband had the sizzling shrimp and chicken with fried rice. It arrived in a bowl that was placed on a hot plate so that it would sizzle when the food was placed on it. Again the food was bland, needed salt. Veggies were a little too crisp, leaning towards raw. Now for the fried rice, it was very underwhelming. Definitely not traditional fried rice with peas and bbq pork, just egg and again, bland. When you think of a noodle house you think that they would be heavy on the noodle dishes not just noodles added to dishes. Salem could really use a great noodle restaurant with homemade noodles, they are so much better than premade.
google avatar

Erica J.

Yelp
I ate dinner here with my 3 kids after we did their school supply shopping. We ordered steamed potstickers and tempura shrimp as appetizers and chicken lo mein, the sizzling chicken and shrimp, and the Beijing Zhajiang Noodle for our main dishes. The appetizers arrived very quickly and were hot and delicious. The main dishes arrived shortly after we finished and we loved everything. Nothing was greasy, the vegetables were crisp and fresh, and all of the meat was perfectly cooked. The restaurant has a ton of natural light and was nice looking. The service was helpful and quick. We were impressed and will definitely be back.
google avatar

Debi D.

Yelp
I heard a lot of good things about Chopstick Brothers. We came at lunchtime and ordered the lunch specials. The egg flower soup is fluorescent yellow and taste overwhelmingly of sesame oil. The crab puffs were thick and chewy, not crispy. Food looks great, but it was flavorless. The rice was very good. Three of us all ordering different things came to the same conclusion, bland and flavorless. The sauce for the Marfar Chicken was nothing, just the ketchup type squeeze bottle on the table we were told was the sauce for everything. So disappointing, we had high hopes. I will give them one more try, everyone claims the noodles are good. I do hope so. Service was good, the place is newly remodeled and very efficient.

Joanna S.

Yelp
So tasty!!!! My dad and I went for an early dinner. Surprised at how busy it already was, but that didn't impact our speedy service! We ordered the fried potstickers, Scallops & vegetables (served with white rice) and tea. Everything was great, and surprisingly inexpensive. Sized perfectly for two with no intent to take leftovers. Based on the previous reviews, I was expecting that the vegetables with the scallops might be lacking variety, but that was not the case. Zucchini, broccoli, celery, and onions oh my!! But the sauce.. that was spectacular!! Notable mentions: The restaurant was very clean and comfortable. Looks like they had a big take out business as well!
google avatar

Matt C.

Yelp
So happy to have this restaurant in Salem. The food was delicious, the staff was amazing. The restaurant is clean and new, everything felt high quality.
google avatar

Beth H.

Yelp
First time visiting and we will be back! Super friendly staff! Huge portions! We have leftovers for days. We got the fried potstickers, tempura vegetables, sweet and sour style chicken, chicken fried rice and a gigantic wonton soup. We really like everything. My picky kid even ate the tempura broccoli. Considering the size of the portions, the price is very reasonable. The entire restaurant is clean and well laid out so we didn't feel like we were sharing conversations with other tables. I think this will be our new go to place.
google avatar

Dani T.

Yelp
Super good. It was really busy when we went and we were still in and out in an hour. Big portions.

Patricia L.

Yelp
It was our first visit at this establishment and as soon as we walked in the hostess barely turned and said 2. Not hello no greeting. Never gave us silverware or napkins when we asked for some she responded from across the room, yes. She asked a question it was answered and husband asked can I have napkins she snapped, do you want these shaking the chopsticks in his face and walk away to get a fork. so my husband asked our waiter can I get some napkins. She snapped again I heard you. When we were finished the check was left on a tray at the table. Husband paid left the ticket in check try with tip at the table. No one ever mentioned it had to be paid at a specific place. When we were outside she came out running with a male waiter yelling causing a scene did you pay. Husband said yes it's on the table in the check tray. She just said oh ok. No sorry my mistake. It was so humiliating. Without checking the table where the check was she just automatically assumed we walked out without paying. I ignored her rudeness and her horrible attitude, walking around with a superiority complex. But that accusation was the last straw. Will never be back. They definitely need a hostess that actually has an idea or the bare minimum of customer service. Worst experience ever they don't deserve even a star

Sidnee B.

Yelp
Super yummy food!!!! Great service, and large portions and I had plenty for lunch next day.
google avatar

Katie S.

Yelp
I have eaten in and gotten take out several times since they opened. Everything is fresh and delicious. My favorite is to have a bowl of 1/2 egg flower and 1/2 hot & sour soup. They're both delicious on their own, but I like the combo!

Steve S.

Yelp
My wife and I moved from California to Oregon nine years ago. One of our biggest disappointments has been the lack of high-quality Chinese food. We finally found one, Chopstick Brothers. It is our only go-to Chinese restaurant.

Yelp
we craving somthing new omn friday nignt as they were it. the fried rice was delish and the chicken was amazing. will be coming back
