Google
Quite literally my favorite restaurant in Albuquerque. It has the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Super authentic, super yummy! The staff are so sweet The seats are comfortable for people of many sizes. The chairs are sturdy for my larger diners, and the booths are surprisingly roomy. I think the best dishes are the spicy, bacon and cabbage, sesame, chicken, egg, drop soup, and literally any of their noodle dishes. When my friends come to town, this is the first place I always take them to!

Google
The food was great, as suggested by many others. We had chicken egg rolls, chicken fried rice, General Tso Chicken, and sweet and sour chicken. Everyone agreed the sweet and sour chicken was one of the best they’ve had. Service was great and very attentive.

Google
This place is amazing and my new favorite! The service was great, everyone was so sweet, and the the food was some of the best Chinese food I ever had. My new go to!

Google
Silly name; great traditional Chinese fare. They have the gringo standard items, but honestly, their whole menu is the secret menu. Seeing photos online of their Egg Fu Yong with a sauce that I prefer, sold us on a lunch visit. Of course my lunch was delicious, but my buddy's Broccoli Beef lunch special was excellent, as well. And for $8.95 w/choice of soup it had me shaking my head. Those are 2016-2020 prices, that we do not see anymore where I'm from in Washington State. The ladies in the FOH did a nice job taking care of a very busy dining area. Glad these guys are doing well...

Google
This place was recommend from a few people as a really good spot to get some food. This place was busy so I was excited. I do not mind having to wait for service, especially when the place is full and there is only one server. She worked her tail off! I will say bringing us the wrong appetizer and then getting mad at us when we already started eating it (right dish, wrong protein). Then we got our main dish after that. Just everything tasted very bland and greasy. Maybe just an off evening?! This might be good for ABQ, but in my opinion not a place to spend your money.

Google
The beef dish came out in a reasonable amount of time but my chicken dish took a very long time. When it did arrive it was shriveled bits of burned chicken that was not edible. When the waitress asked us if everything was alright (it was pretty obvious it was not) the manager/owner came over and aked I would like to order something else. By that time my husband was finished with his meal so I said no thank you. No apology for a burnt mess that should never of left the kitchen. And it wasn't like they were busy. They only had 3 tables occupied. She did give us a discount but even so it was a very expensive meal. We won't be back.

Google
I love the atmosphere and the service. The service is very friendly and very hardworking people. Charismatic, as well I should say! My favorite dish is their Soy Sauce Pork and House Tofu. This is the place where it proves that Albuquerque DOES have REAL Chinese food. Especially if you are looking for Northern style. I still need to make my friends there. I enjoy every bit of it.

Google
Hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant I. Albuquerque. Don’t let the 90’s era restaurant decor deter you. Ordering from the wall menu is absolutely a requirement—you won’t regret it.

Yelp
Chopstix is located at Lomas and San Pedro in Albuquerque. It is in the "Fair Plaza Shopping Center" by a Smith's grocery store and a few other stores. It is also across from one of the gates to the New Mexico fair grounds, but not the main gate. The chinese food is good here, with only one caveat. The eat-in food is very good; I've dined in many times. On the other hand, the take out food leaves a lot to be desired. I've ordered take out food several times and been disappointed. Point is, make sure you eat in here, for the best experience.

Yelp
I have heard so many good things about this place that I was very excited to try it. Especially since my favorite Chinese restaurant is temporarily closed. I guess being hopeful lead to grave disappointment. The food came out randomly. Two main dishes, then one appetizer, then the third main dish and lastly the second appetizer. The egg rolls are ok. The dumplings were not great. The Mongolian chicken was just bad. All thigh meat that was not trimmed well. Onions were soggy and there was way too much sauce. One good highlight was the Egg Foo Young. It was really good. A nice brown garlic gravy and three large patties. I would recommend this place for the Egg Foo only.

Yelp
Went to try chopstix after hearing many great things about them. The first time we went to try to visit, they were closed even though the hours on their door (and on google) said they should be open. There was no sign on the door to suggest why they were closed... so we were a bit disappointed. We went back two days later at dinner and it was open so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the chicken chow mein which was huge portions. The vegetables were fresh and still had a nice crunch to them. The egg drop soup was slightly lacking. The egg rolls were definitely my least favorite thing about the meal... otherwise as far as the chow mein I would go back to try another dish... the main course was good. Service was quick... the waitress was friendly... was a little hot, as it is mainly windows and the sun was shining right in...

Yelp
Food was made fresh to order and was really good. We had the sweet and sour chicken, beef lo mein, and egg drop soup. Everything was good. Staff were really friendly and patient while we decided what to get. This order was to go but the ambiance was chill. Nice open space and can accommodate a large groups of people. I'm traveling through but this place was a gem for dinner eats. Definitely a must if you're in the area and never mind some of the three stars it's gotten in the past this place is good.
google avatar

Jeff S.

Yelp
Best pot stickers I've ever had in a land locked state. Sesame Chicken was sub par, pork lo mein was above average. Rice was fine. All in all, not too bad.

Yelp
Overall: Go here! The food was just amazing. Story time: My husband and I came here with our dear friend, who is Chinese. It was so amazing to have her order for us here because they actually have traditional Chinese cuisine! Now the secret is you have to know there is another menu. A secret menu. Food: From the secret menu- Twice cooked pork which was spectacular and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. Regular menu- beef noodles. The third item was from the secret menu - it was spicy and specifically ordered for my husband. He said was extremely spicy but flavorful. Service: friendly, professional, and timely with our drinks and food. Ambiance: it's an older restaurant but is like your favorite dive bar without the bar. It's pretty peaceful inside which is nice after a long day. Fyi: There is no alcohol here. I also have to confess that I didn't take pictures because our conversation was way more important to us so my phone was not on the table. Gosh, I love dinners/meals like that.

Yelp
Amazing chicken fried rice and egg rolls. Never needed to add sauce because it was that good! :)

Yelp
This place is very nice. Had a party of like 10 and we all got full. The service was fast and makes food delicious. The place is a bit small. But it's enough to sit 10 people Food +5 Service +5 Environment +3 Overall 4/5 Pretty Decent.

Yelp
Hands down the best Chinese we've had in the city!! Got lunch specials of Kung Pao Chicken and Jalapeño Chicken. Got it extra spicy and let me tell you....yes they was spicy! Served with rice, Hot Sour soup and a spring roll (not good at all) but the roll can definitely be forgiven because the entrees were perfect!! Got there at opening time, 11am. I can see how this place will fill up at lunchtime!
google avatar

Yelp
Tasty Chinese food with a thorough menu. Pleasant and efficient service. Great for a meal before getting groceries! Every time I go here I think I should come more often.

Gwen G.

Yelp
Ah, Chopstix, how I love you. Not fancy, but straight up deliciousness for such a fair price. Our favorite dishes are the MUSTARD GREENS WITH AGED TOFU and the Eggplant in garlic sauce. So yummy!

Yelp
This is my absolute go-to for Chinese food in ABQ. The flavor, speed, and quality are unmatched in my opinion.
google avatar

Alyssa O.

Yelp
Lunch was perfect size for Sara and I. We got sesame chicken with white rice and vegetables perfect. This is right next to Smith's so you can stop here and get your lunch before you get your groceries for the rest of the week. The chicken was fresh and the sesame sauce was sweet and delicious. The rice was sticky enough and moist.
google avatar

Allison T.

Yelp
Not to over exaggerate but this is literally the best Chinese food husband and I have ever had. Hot and sour soup was great, pot stickers were perfect. We got steamed rice with sesame chicken and sweet and sour. The flavor was phenomenal.
google avatar

Lunar B.

Yelp
Soooo salty. Almost inedible, and the pork in the pork buns tasted like it was going bad. Yuck.
google avatar

Lan Anh V.

Yelp
Fellow Yelpers, are you tired of looking for AUTHENTIC Chinese food and then running into this problem? I know when I lived in ABQ, I was real fed up of looking on Yelp for Chinese food and then finding 5 star ratings full of reviews about Americanized dishes like Orange Chicken or cream cheese wontons. If you want the real deal, Look no further. ChopstiX is LEGIT. It's a well known fact that Albuquerque has a shortage of good Chinese food. They have a handful of Szechuan and Taiwanese items on their menu. I highly recommend the Japanese egg tofu, stir fried green beans, bean curd and mustard greens, beef flat noodles, and the Szechuan peppercorn chicken or salt and pepper chicken. You really can't go wrong with what you order here. Even Jackie Chan himself came here several times and created his own dish when he was filming a movie. Go support this local business!

Gil C.

Yelp
We used go go here quite often. I was very good, the staff was older Chinese women and they were very nice and courteous. The last time we ordered take out the food had changed and out order of "vegetable fried rice" was whit rice with soy sauce... They obviously changed owners and went straight down the tubes. NEVER AGAIN!
google avatar

Sheryn M.

Yelp
Great staff. The waitress was very attentive. She kept coming by and asked us how was everything and we need anything. Chicken feet is made Cantonese style. Super flavorful. I was craving some dim sum and it hit the spot. Natural form of collagen. Great for skin. The beef chow fun was on point and was well flavored and not salty. I was not dying of thirst afterwards.
google avatar

Yelp
Legit!!! Taste just like my Chinese Aunties cooking their best dishes for Sunday extended family meal. The first time I tasted the Soy Sauce Shrimp, I said Wow, Delish! I now order it every time! The Vinegar Sugar Spare Rubs is better then my cousin Nettie's (and her version is broke da mouth). The Beef Chow Fun (Stir Fry Rice Noodle) is perfection every time. For veggies we order the Spicy Green Beans and the Mustard Greens with Tofu. The food is consistently great, prices are reasonable and portions are large. When I want Chinese food, this is it for me!
google avatar

Cathleen W.

Yelp
It seems impossible to find good Chinese food in this town, and this is no exception. The eggrolls were rancid and the General Tsao was bland and fatty. Just not worth the trouble.
google avatar

Maggie S.

Yelp
My boyfriend had never been here so we stopped in. Ordered pot stickers, meat pie, jalapeño mushroom with beef and beef noodles. Pot stickers were demolished on site, sooo good. The meat pie is a must. I was torn between the noodles and the Dan Dan noodles, next time I will get that. My boyfriend was hung up on the beef texture being chewy in the mushroom jalapeño. Lol but he enjoyed just different. I love it when your jaw grows tired. the beef noodles were not chewy. I wish their chili oil was hot, I like Sriracha but I also love when it's made in house. The food had lots of flavor thank you baby Jesus. The older ladies serving us were awesome and cute.
google avatar

Audrey G.

Yelp
Fresh food not hours old. Friendly owners and employees. It's just a little place in a strip mall but if you're looking for something that's made to order.... Not sitting in a warmer for days... try ChopStix
google avatar

Todd R.

Yelp
Service is not great. They really do not understand English well. Server would rather argue then just take the order Only one lady taking orders and bring the food, I mean the same lady. She is the one with the attitude. I hope the food is worth the issue with service. I know now a days most places are hurting for workers. Ice tea is tea colored water, hard to mess up tea but they have. The place is small and seems lots of people come here. On the wall are printed menu items with the cost. The cost seems reasonable. There are speakers but no music. I got the chicken egg rolls, they were okay, not one of the best not in my top 5 Mongolian beef stir fry should be spicy, it is not and it is over kill with onions. The meat was chewy so it was not the best cut They do online and phone orders, that is actually a nice thing to know. Pork fried rice had no taste at all. I'm serious, not taste. Even added soy sauce and still very little taste.
google avatar

Rebecca F.

Yelp
Fave place for some takeout when I'm craving Chinese food! My coworkers and I like to order from their lunch special menu, and for everything you get in it, it's totally worth the price (and if I don't gorge myself, I can get two meals out of it). We tend to order a bunch at once, and they're always quick with preparation. The food is always fresh and hot by the time we get there and back to the office with it all. Be warned, you'll likely food coma after! We save Chopstix for Friday afternoons when we know much work won't get done after.
google avatar

Bill B.

Yelp
Authentic Chinese cuisine and fabulous flavors. I got the chili chicken and it was as HOT as it's supposed to be. Traditional Hong Kong delicacies And staff is very nice and accommodating. Don't expect luxury, tucked in the back of a strip mall.
google avatar

Gjermundson Y.

Yelp
The best of all in abq! I would recommend this place for sure! Everything I eat here, I'm always greeted with kindness. The hosts is so nice and willing to help all the time. Food is bomb!
google avatar

Shanti Kiran N.

Yelp
This is the place to go to for all your Chinese food needs. You cannot go wrong with anything you order here. Mmm mmm mmm. Enough said. Dishes tried so far: - General Tao's chicken -Shrimp with lobster sauce -Beef w/ broccoli Recommend all of them and can't wait to taste other stuff on the menu!
google avatar

Doug C.

Yelp
The only Chinese restaurant in abq worth frequenting. Being Chinese myself, I crave good Chinese food, one of my few complaints moving here. My personal favorite, the stir fried beef flat noodles, is excellent here. House green beans with black bean sauce excellent. Their Chinese broccoli and house tofu are also delicious. If you want authentic Chinese food, this is the only restaurant to go to. I'm always wary of 5 star reviews of Chinese places in abq, but look no further! Little far away drive, but worth it every time.
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
Mustard greens with dried tofu--authentic. Oong Choi--authentic. Tomatoes and eggs--authentic. Ma Pao tofu--authentic. Eggplant--authentic. If you're looking for real authentic Chinese food, GO TO CHOPSTIX! I know because I'm from SF and I know authentic Chinese food from a Panda Express, and this is AUTHENTIC Chinese home cooking...
google avatar

Lisa L.

Yelp
Just ordered for the second time. The food is excellent. Had the Garlic Eggplant again, as well as the Mustard Greens with Bean Curd. Yum!
google avatar

Robin B.

Yelp
I have eaten at many wok joints like this located in a strip shopping center all over the US. Every so often you find a gem with food prepared with care and knowledge using fresh ingredients. This is not one of them! The worst Asian food I have ever eaten! Noodles were extremely over over cooked in the Dan Dan noodles. It was so hot (spicy) but not with Szechwan pepper. You are supposed to use Bok Choy preferably baby Bok Choy but they used spinach instead. It was awful. The Muh Shu pancakes were tough, dry and hard to chew. The Muh Shu itself was over soggy, over cooked and had little flavor. The Shrimp Egg-Fo-Young was very wet and the sauce so, so salty. I would not order from here again nor should you. Waste of $50
google avatar

Alec B.

Yelp
Rumor has it Jackie Chan eats here when he's in town. Not sure, but the food is legit. This is easily my favorite Chinese restaurant in town. Lunch prices are ridiculously cheap and it includes soup and an egg roll with the main dish. Everything was wonderful and the general Tao chicken was the best I've ever had.
google avatar

Marie G.

Yelp
This place did not let my sons pick up our order that we placed to go due to not having a mask on. In this restaurant you can sit and dine in with your mask off but not enter and pay/pick up your food? Ridiculous!! They had to drive all the way home to get mask and then go back for our COLD FOOD. Had I known at the time, I would have suggested they don't go back ever. The mandates have been lifted and I will not continue to spend my money with anyone who mandates mask in their place of business!! Horrible customer service. I would give zero stars if allowed.
google avatar

Laura L.

Yelp
Food is really excellent here! Ordered Mixed veggies & stir fried beef noodles (not spicy). It was alot of food...shared with coworkers & they liked it too! Good service& quick also.
google avatar

Whitney W.

Yelp
Not the best beef and broccoli I've ever had. Delivered after 40 mins and it was cold.

Ariel M.

Yelp
The best Chinese food I've had since moving here, food is always delicious, never cold, their serving sizes are always perfect. 10/10
google avatar

Yelp
So, if you're the squeamish type, this place might not be for you. If you don't mind a place that appears to be a little messy but serves up authentic Chinese food options, then you'll love it here. This place certainly caught me by surprise - and I love surprises. Walked in, they were busy as hell...mixed crowd but all the tables were full, none the less. We were finally sat and we quickly ordered from the specials they posted on their wall...literally - Twice Cooked Pork and Ginger Chicken. Both were quite delicious...they do not skimp on seasonings and spices either. I bet there was an entire finger of ginger in the chicken dish and as we found out, they make their own fermented bean curd (Tofu) in house...which was excellent. Very pleasantly surprised and will certainly add this to our..."it's Sunday night and we're jones'en for some Chinese" place...it's been officially bookmarked.

Yelp
This is a lovely place to eat when you have time. It is what I would guess is as close to Authentic as we are going to get in NM. Huge portions, and an older small town feel, the workers zoom around and dishes clang and I love it. I frequent this place alone and at first they were wondering about me but now I am always greeted with a warm smile and hospitality. I think I am and feel respected for my private nature and enjoy the peace. Everything I have eaten here has been greatly spiced Fresh off the stove and 5 star food. Try it. Closed on Sunday & Monday. Enjoy.

Yelp
I so wanted to Love this place because it's across the street from where I work and I love Chinese food. Possibly the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life. My coworkers and I ordered takeout from there last week. I have the Kung pow chicken which tasted like a wet sponge and had zero flavor. The egg roll was the size of my thumb and was terrible tasting. The food was so bad I did not finish it and I ended up getting sick later that day. My coworkers had different dishes and they all the same experience as me. I I am very surprised as the reviews were very good but I will not be back. I was so disappointed I am still in search of great Chinese food. Panda express is better than this place. IMHO
google avatar

Raul A.

Yelp
Was going to give a three due to image of food, but after tasting, I had to give it a 4. Moved to Albuquerque in December and have not had any Chinese cuisine like this since I've been here. Would highly recommend. Lunch special was a great price.

Erin M.

Yelp
This place was recommended by a couple of my husbands coworkers, so we thought we would give it a try. I kind of hope what we ordered is the reason it was so mediocre, but I don't feel we have the confidence to try it again to find out. we had it delivered, which may account for a small percentage of the disappointment, but I doubt it being fresh would have change it all much. My mother ordered Orange beef, straightforward enough. The beef was tender, but the sauce only tasted sweet, and the coating the beef had was a soggy texture. my husband and I both ordered what we expected to be noodle dishes, instead they were both soups. He with the Dan Dan noodles and I with the Da Lu noodles. The noodles were overdone and the broths were nothing to talk about. An overall disappointing experience.
google avatar

Yelp
The food has consistently been great every time I come. We brought our Chinese UNM graduate student friend who we are host family to, and he felt the food was authentic. We started with the seaweed salad which had a nice balance of dressing. We also go the steamed dumplings which were excellent and had a meat and vegetable inside. Vermicelli with ground pork was a dish with its menu posted on the wall. Had a little heat to it, and it was very authentic and a popular dish in China, according to our friend. He really liked it. The English translation of the Chinese name of the dish was "ants on the tree or in the tree"--with the ground beef being the ants and the noodles like the tree. It was very good. Oyster beef and ginger chicken were the other entrees, and both were excellent. I love the oyster beef, and the flavor was perfect--not too little or too much of the oyster flavoring--just right. The beef was tender with every bite. The chicken was also tender. And the portions for the entrees were generous. Highly recommend this restaurant. We thought the staff were quite nice, very busy, and yet attentive to our table.

Adric M.

Yelp
One of our most consistently awesome little mom and pop chinese restaurants. not only do they have a extensive menu, but they also have many off menu items, some are listed on the walls.

R P.

Yelp
Gem of a place. Great fast service, freshest food you can think of. Every item had great taste to it.

Marceline D.

Yelp
Chopstix used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant EVER. How have they fallen from grace. The switch in ownership absolutely destroyed this restaurant. Everything I've had after the switch is bland and miserable. If the new owners want to stop being cheapskates and actually put quality into the food, I'll consider coming back. If the New Owners are reading this, I hope you feel ashamed for what you did to this absolute gem.

Mario N.

Yelp
Solid food, great value, very friendly service. Will definitely eat here again. The lunch combo was perfect.

Anthony A.

Yelp
I ordered 5 different items yesterday (9/30/23) and it was practically inedible. I have eaten Asian food all around the world and have owned several restaurants so I think I bring a certain amount of expertise to my review. The problems with this food are to numerous to mention so I won't waste your time, suffice to say the dog liked it, but he'll eat just about anything.
google avatar

Glade J.

Yelp
The food here was pretty tasteless. I ordered the Orange Beef which you wouldn't have know it was suppose to be orange flavor if it wasn't for the couple cooked orange peels in it. That was about the only orange flavor there was. I did order the egg rolls as well and they were fresh and tasted good and that's why it gets 2 stars.
