This was such a fantastic place to visit. The have a grocery story, patio seating, restaurant with vegan options. The serving staff was super friendly. We were seated on the patio and gusts of wind came with rain. Quickly, they took us inside to the warmth and service was never interrupted. We tried the nachos which had a great time flavor and pepperoni pizza which came out piping hot. So delicious!

Table service restaurant and a market, thus unique place is vibrant, busy, and tasty. The result is a love child between The Grove restaurant and a Whole Foods. The restaurant side is priced reasonably for the area, but the market rates for items can be pricey ($1 pastry vs. $5 coconut water). Menu items are tasty, with a variety of fresh fruit or side options. Beer and wine available, and the staff are plentiful and friendly!

Delicious organic food. We popped in for late breakfast and were very happy. The freshness of each ingredient was perfect. The staff was super friendly especially our waiter Jose. He knew the menu and was able to help me pick something I would like. I'm a super picky eater and went with the pancakes with a side of fruit. Jose came by to check on us every chance he could and never forgot that we were there or his other customers. We will be back to enjoy more goodness and wonderful service.

A nice addition to Piedmont Avenue. This café, restaurant, grocery store has a lot to offer for a busy area in Oakland. You can buy a cup of coffee and a pastry, or you can sit down to a full menu restaurant service. The salad bar options are of medium size. The grocery options are plentiful for a very small market. They have a good amount to produce. They also have parking, minimal spaces. Overall it has a lot of options for the many people who live, work, and visit Piedmont Avenue area.

Had the steak & fries and it was delicious. The food is pricey. But, it's a fun once-in-a- while treat. Also, the grocery section has some delicious-looking treats. Last, they get some hard-to-find beer.

Great concept, open & airy. Love seeing a working commercial kitchen sharing walk-in space with a supermarket, and vice versa. Prep-cooks mingle with shoppers as they gather ingredients directly from the market to prepare menu items. Found the very sci-fi looking Romanesco broccolli, one of my faves!

Ambience and decor deserves 5 stars, and so does service. Not everything we tried matches the look and feel of the place or the price. The Steak frites, ok, if you have ever cooked steak, and you serve it medium rare, you should know that you cant cut it into strips right after it’s cooked, it needs to rest. What we got is a full plate of red bloody juice and all the fries soaked in it. This is 101 knowledge of serving red meat.

This location is closing which is a shame. Good food and su h and open and inviting space. Plenty of seating and pleasant staff.
