"Jamaica native chef Chris Campbell includes not just the flavors of the island, but cultural inclusion of the region in his cuisine. The menu features fried fritters made with Bajan saltfish or Bahamian conch, soups such as pumpkin chicken, and the delightfully acidic Belizean lime cucumber salad, along with a selection of jerk and curry dishes. The jerk chicken crispy egg rolls are popular at Campbell’s restaurant, stuffed with perfectly seasoned poultry and shredded vegetables served with a burst of freshness in the side of Caribbean reggae slaw." - Lia Picard

"Born in Ocho Rios, Jamaica-raised chef Chris Campbell includes not just the flavors of the island, but cultural inclusion of the region in his cuisine. The menu offers fried fritters, which can be Bajan saltfish or Bahamian conch, soups such as Jamaican pumpkin chicken, and the delightfully acidic Belizean lime cucumber salad. The menu also features traditional jerk and curry dishes, but why not try the jerk chicken lasagna. Grab a drink from the bar and relax on the patio. Be sure to order the rum raisin bread pudding here." - Mike Jordan

I dined here on Saturday with a friend who was visiting. We wanted to eat somewhere close to where she was saying and she had a recommendation to eat here. This was an excellent choice. The food was delicious, especially the Bahamian Seafood Soup. The portion sizes were great.I live on the south side, but this will not deter me from driving here at least once a month. It is worth it. The young lady who served as our waitress gave great recommendations and was super friendly. I even brought some soup home for my mom and she loved it. Certainly my favorite Caribbean food spot in metro Atlanta.

Google
Picked up takeout from here in early November. My husband ordered two ox tail plates and wings. Spent over $50. We weren’t impressed. The cabbage was flavorless and wasn’t steamed thoroughly; it was still crunchy and raw. For the cost, I’ll stick to my local Jamaican spot that gives more ox tails per plate.

I had a great experience at Chris’s Jamaican bistro! The food was hot and fresh! The conch fritters are Balls if you’re wondering, but they were delicious! The lemonade was good too ( no refills). I’ve been back a few times and the food is even better! Love this place and staff!

Google
Delicious food and great customer service! The restaurant wasn’t too busy when I came in. The ambiance was nice and the vibe felt good. I ordered the jerk chicken egg rolls and the brown stew chicken. Both were tasty and I really enjoyed the cabbage and plantains as well. I’ll definitely be returning :)

My husband and I LOVE this place! The environment, the food, the music, and the service were all great! First of all, the jerk chicken egg rolls were sooo good, but my curry goat with coconut rice, cabbage, and side of plantains were AMAZING! The bread pudding with ice cream was great as well! We will definitely be back with family!

Google
OMG!!! This is the most flavorful work of art I’ve had in years. The flavors just explode in every direction in your mouth!!! I had the oxtail with rice and beans as well is the Island Mango Habanero tossed wings!!!! Oh the sweetness & the heat in the most amazing sauce is well balanced and full of wonderful goodness!!!! Both the wings and oxtail were so tender, fall off the bone!!!! I can’t believe no one has told me about this place!!! Thank you to the chef!!!!

Google
Great place for Carib food. Authentic tasting and the roto was really good!! We’re so stuffed after our meals.... the portions are great and so is the service. The only thing I would recommend is that the place were were sitting the whole seat came off as we stood up. That was a bit weird and awkward. But the food is good!!

Google
The food here is absolutely delicious! As a fellow Caribbean I gotta give this place 5 stars. They are all so professional, the food is authentic, the portion sizes are generous (the way I like it) and the owners love on their customers. Their stew chicken, coconut rice, oxtails and rice and peas are my favorites!

Yelp
We stopped by for dinner and ordered two meals and a side of fried plantains. The restaurant was not busy and the food came out pretty quickly. Make sure to check about food preparation due to allergies. I asked our server and they advised the oil used to fry items for shellfish is used for other items. My plus one enjoyed the fresh plantains while I watched with envy but am grateful I avoided any hospital visits. Once you're done you pay at the hostess area. This would have saved us unnecessary waiting for our bill. Overall, food was great and ambiance was welcoming.

Yelp
I love the food here. I always get a plentiful, hefty plate that's delicious. The temperature of our food was good, the food was flavorful and cooked to perfection, and I was highly impressed with the tenderness of the plantains because everyone can't cook them lol I ordered the curry chicken, rice and peas, cabbage, and macaroni, and it was perfect. The macaroni was SLAMMING!!! Definitely order!! My mom has had the oxtails and love them. The service was good considering the two waitress' weren't getting along too well based on their conversation. It didn't highly effect the service; our waitress was attentive and met our standards. The atmosphere is nice and super laid back yet still professional and gives a nice adult and fun environment. The bar is stocked and looks great, and will be going back to sit and chill especially since there's a tv and patio with music. Oh and the bathrooms are clean, that's a plus. This place is a must try and you won't be disappointed; whether you're ordering to-go or dining in, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
I have followed this restaurant for YEARS! And continue to return because of their delicious food! I strongly suggest the mango shrimp and coconut rice, and the carribean soup.

Yelp
I decided to try this place out after living close by after 3yrs. Why did I wait 3yrs you ask? I have no idea! I did not know this place was even close to my neighborhood. Having grown up in the Caribbean, I wanted what I call "comfort food" and decided to give this place a try. I chose to drive there and order take-out for myself to see the inside of the restaurant. It seemed clean and with the music playing with Caribbean vibes. Unfortunately, I was not greeted when I walked in because the one server was on the phone and typing something on the iPad, which I assume taking orders. I stood there for a good 5 - 8 minutes or more (it seemed like an eternity), until I was summoned by a gentleman at the kitchen asking me what I wanted. The server was STILL on the phone. I made my order, Brown Stew Chicken with Plantains and Rice and Peas (beans). It took a few more minutes of waiting until my order was ready. The server was finally off the phone by the time my food was ready! The gentleman in the kitchen told the server to help the customer (me) since he realized that she has been on the phone the entire time since I walked in. I mean, come on!! How long does it take to make a food order over the phone? I still give this restaurant a 4 star because of the gentleman who helped me from the kitchen and the nice portion of food I received. The food was tasty and I was left satisfied, I just wanted to have for "sauce" for the stew. I will definitely order food from here again, I just hope the server will pay more attention to me when I walk in. I always want to support local!

Yelp
I've been going to Chris' Caribbean Bistro for many many years now and it is my go to for Caribbean food in Atlanta. I love the jerk egg rolls and oxtails, but don't sleep on the jerk shrimp and chicken, roti and seafood stew. Everything is delicious! Can you get Caribbean food elsewhere? Of course. Can you get consistency, great customer service and recipes that are constantly evolving? Probably not. They always have the menu favorites, but as a business they are always looking at ways to improve their recipes and it shows. My family is from the Caribbean (Bahamas) and the rice and peas, plantains, cabbage and oxtails always remind me of family gatherings. If you haven't tried it yet, you need to add this spot to the top of your list.

Yelp
We ordered from Ubereats. Had a craving for Caribbean, specifically jerk chicken. Found Chris' Caribbean Bistro. We chose the Jerk chicken and curry chicken plates that came with rice and peas and cabbage. Both plates had a kick to it. I loved it. My husband who is less fond of spice still enjoyed the food. The chicken literally fell off the bone on the jerk chicken. Great tasting. Only complaint I have is that the jerk chicken had thicken pieces of skin, which I personally didn't eat. The food was well-priced and it was a good portion. The curry chicken has delicious. We are every bite.

Yelp
Boyfriend and I were craving some authentic Caribbean food so we came here based off the reviews alone. We were a bit nervous when we pulled up and the restaurant was empty, but in the time we dinned in their to-go was poppin! Probably 7-10 meals out the door! Speaks volumes Menu was short but adequate. We ordered the tamarind wings (7/10) Could of been a bit more crispy in my opinion. Pretty good size and very generous with the quantity and sauce. The sauce was about the only thing about the wings that carried flavor. The wings looked smoked, but the sauce drowned out all smoke flavor. Wasn't bad, but could be a little better. I ordered the whole fried snapper with cabbage and rice and peas. (5/10) The food came out way too quick to be cooked to order which makes me a bit sad because when you crave fried fish, it has to be STRAIGHT from the fryer. Pretty mild flavor, cabbage was good, rice and peas were a bit dry. My boyfriend ordered the jerk chicken with mac-n-cheese, and rice and peas. He claims the chicken was good with a decent kick. Very flavorful and generous portions. Mac and cheese was good and cheesy! I had the homemade fruit punch 10/10 and my bf had the Bob Marley (cant go wrong with alcohol) Overall, food was alright but service was excellent. Our waitress was kind and very attentive, along with the bartender who wasn't shy to help.

Yelp
We were in the area, and R asked if I wanted to go to Chris' Caribbean Bistro. He found this restaurant on Yelp, and it had a solid 4 stars. Chris' Caribbean Bistro is in the same building as what looked like a very popular bar. Both of them use the same free parking lot, but there are lots of spaces available on Chris' side. The service was kind of slow and not all that welcoming. We stood just inside the door at the entrance, waiting for someone to seat us. A couple of minutes later, an employee told us that we could sit anywhere, so we chose a booth next to the windows. There were only four other customers in the restaurant at the time. The place was clean and well maintained, and everything was in order. The waiting area outside had nice looking and colorful wooden loungers to put waiting customers in a Caribbean mood. There's an outside patio area for customers to dine, and seating inside is comfortable. Finally got down to ordering, and I ordered the Jamaican Oxtails. As soon as my food was served, it smelled fantastic and I knew I was in for a treat! Great mouth-watering flavor as-is. I got a lot of meat on the oxtails, and there wasn't much fat on them. The meat was cooked just short of falling off the bones, and the meat sauce was more stew-y and was flavorful. For those of you reading this review who like their oxtails without a lot of spicy heat, you'll love these oxtails. However, without me asking, our server brought a small bottle of "Very Hot" pepper sauce to the table. I asked him what that was for, and he said it goes great on the oxtails, but warned me to put only a couple of drops on at a time. I did that, and I didn't really get the spicy kick that I was expecting. I threw caution to the wind and poured a little puddle on my plate and plunged the oxtail meat into it. Wow! That woke up my senses and cleared my nasal passages, but it was soooo good! So good that I used over half the bottle during my meal. The cabbage had a good texture to it and wasn't overcooked or mushy. The rice had beans in it and had good flavoring. Although the oxtails were pricey when compared with the other entrees on the menu, I thought it was worth it was a generous serving with lots of meat. This meal was satisfying and filling. Out of all the places that I've had oxtails, this is the best I've had in Atlanta, and the second best tasting oxtails ever.

Yelp
Had rum punch, the Bob Marley and Oxtails with rice and peas! The flavors were delicious. The staff was great!

Leshonda K.

Yelp
This is a great family owned business. The food was delicious. I was with a group of 4 so I had the opportunity to try many dishes. Every thing was made fresh to order and piping hot. Seasoned to perfection. Most jerk is so hot you can't enjoy it but not here. Our server/bartender Rain made the visit fun. She kept our glasses full and joked with us. Ask for Rain to make your drinks you will leave full and happy.

Derrión B.

Yelp
One of the best places in Atlanta when it comes to caribbean food. My favorite is the oxtails. Definitely willing to put them up against other establishments that also make oxtails.

Brett E.

Yelp
This is probably my 3rd time here, and the food has been great every time. I always get the Jerk Chicken Egg Rolls. They are delicious with the chili sauce. Got the Brown Stew Chicken this time, and it was tender, juicy, and the sauce was great. I'm already excited to have the leftovers later

Jacinta M.

Yelp
The establishment is closed on at 7 pm on a Saturday, although it says the business is open until 9pm. No holiday or warning. Just closed. They're already closed on Sunday AND MONDAY. I'm confused.

E K.

Yelp
I went to this restaurant once preCOVID and once after, and on both occasions the food was perfect! Great portions, great food, and great service! When we revisited, the staff members took extra care to make sure we were comfortable, offering hand sanitizer, showing the menus vs handing it to us, and cleaning the chairs outside before we were seated. I'm sure the whole menu's great, but I'm hooked on the pineapple chicken chicken and coconut rice. Lol. My only recommendation is that they consider adding additional, outside seating. There's one, sizable area bit it was monopolized by a party, who were finished eating, but hanging out. There are also a couple of chairs but there was no shade. Anyway, aside from that - go! You'll enjoy it.

Alisa D.

Yelp
Food was delicious, service not so much. We ordered the jerk chicken lasagna, oxtails, and jerk chicken. The jerk chicken lasagna was really good, even has the burnt sides that I like. Oxtails were seasoned well, rice could've cooked a tad bit longer. Really wanted to try the jerk chicken but they gave us brown stew chicken instead. It was actually pretty good and a nice mistake so I didn't bother calling the restaurant back or retuning the order. What was frustrating is when I went to pick the order up, the waitress looked for my order. Asked my name several times, looked at my order on my phone before finally admitting that she gave my already PREPAID order to someone else. She was very nonchalant about it. She said we will just make another one, without apologizing. I guess being busy twirling her hair, had her confused . Food again was pretty good but not sure if I would return because of the poor customer service.

Ronnae W.

Yelp
I hope the food is better than the service. Had the sky not fallen out as soon as we walked in, I'm sure we would of left. Upon arrival the tables were set, meaning glasses and napkins were on all the tables. Tvs were also on. There was even two groups of people waiting inside. But there was nobody that worked in sight. We assumed maybe they were doing something in the back. This placed definitely appeared to be open. There were no signs saying "take out only". There were three of us, so we sat at a table near the counter and just chatted. After a few minutes, we realized more people were coming pinside, but no one ever came to the front and helped. The line was not getting any shorter. A women walked in and asked how long we were waiting and asked if we had call in orders. She then walked to the middle of the restaurant and begin to yell out "hello". Shortly after, a women appeared as if nothing was wrong. She hands the woman a bag on a table. No greeting, not thanks, no apology, NOTHING!!! So this same lady begins to to take orders, but we can hear her telling customers they don't have this or that. It's like 7pm, how are you out of stuff? One customer chimes in and ask, "can you tell us what you are out of?" So it's our turn to order. I got brown stew chicken, rice and peas with cabbage. My friends got the grilled chicken, with rice, and the egg rolls. And the other got the grilled shrimp. My cabbage didn't have one drop of seasoning on it. You can see from the pic, not one morsel of pepper ever saw the cabbage. The rice had a little crunch to it, so I'm going to assume it was a old. The chicken was alright. Not bad, but not really good. It was very tender... almost falling from the bone. But it gave me the feeling it was probably reheated a few times. The shrimp was described as ok. The egg rolls were described as good The grilled chicken was not cooked throughly. The inside was very pink aside from the sauce it was smothered in and the obvious grill marks. Bad service and MEDIOCRE food. The price and what you get don't align.

Mye S.

Yelp
Ordered Oxtail and curry goat. The oxtail had no flavor it just taste like beef. The curry goat was made with indian curry and bot carribean curry. Total bust won't be returning.

Akilah A.

Yelp
I am more than satisfied with Chris' Caribbean Bistro! I ordered delivery and they exceeded my expectations! Days later and my mouth is still watering. Since I was born in the islands and raised by West Indians, I crave some Caribbean food ever so often. I love that they don't just have the typical but they put a fun spin on what I know as traditional. Starting with the rum sauce plantains! Never had that before but loved every bit of it. Oxtails were so tender, the meat was falling off the bones. Curry chicken wasn't too spicy but flavorful. I've had jerk chicken and I've had egg rolls but have I had a jerk chicken egg roll?! - Genius!! The conch fritters had an interesting texture with some veggies inside - I previously only had them plain. I tend to shy away from spicy but that would have been a mistake not to try to the habanero wings - Huge mistake! They were spicy but sweet and bursting with flavor. I've visited before - the service was great and the vibe was cool! I've even used their catering for office event and they were timely and the food was plentiful for a great price. Looking forward to ordering or visiting again soon!

Hena A.

Yelp
Veryyyy interesting menu! huge with tons of options but that potentially leads to quantity over quality. which is what i believe happened here. I ordered the brown stew chicken and i'm sad to say it didnt really taste like anything :/ I would definitely go back - portions are huge and the food was filling.

Bobby Y.

Yelp
Great food and exceptional good service. I often call in my order and it's ready when I arrive as promised. The menu is diverse but offer the traditional Caribbean dishes.

Rita G.

Yelp
Summary: I wouldn't return for the food. Very lackluster and I'm honestly confused by all the good reviews about the food here. The drinks were great, the service was wonderful!!! Atmosphere: My friend and I came here around 5:30 on a Friday. There were some people at the bar having a good time but the way this restaurant is set up...voices carry and we could hear their entire conversation despite sitting at a booth by the door. For a Friday, the music was super low and not much fun upbeat energy in terms of overall vibe. Food: Disappointing. I was looking forward to some really good jerk chicken as I hadn't had any in a long time. This was not worth my wait at! all!! Just nooooo. The chicken was dry and flavorless. No type of kick or jerk action here. The rice and peas were ok, the oxtail gravy I asked to include with the dish was honestly really watery. The cabbage was just ok. I tried a piece of my friends salmon and it was pretty good but verrry sweet. Whatever the glaze was tasted more like a syrup (there is an art to subtlety!) Lastly, I got the jerk egg rolls after my main meal because I was still hoping to be impressed by something and this dish seemed to be one of the most reviewed. They were good but still...not jerk chicken. It tasted more like the pepper chicken you get from Panda Express wrapped in an egg roll. The sauce was definitely more of an Asian inspired sauce. Drinks: Kay's rum punch was too sweet for me but I can see how this would easily be a favorite here. Very fun and light! Next I tried another drink (pictured) and THOSE WERE DELICIOUS!! I'd come back just for those lol.. not too sweet, a perfect balance and visually appealing! Service: Our server (I forgot her name unfortunately) was great. She checked on us constantly and brought us whatever we needed. Absolutely no complaints there!! Great service is a HUGE deal for me so this was a plus.

Lovy E.

Yelp
I've driven by this spot plenty of times and always wanted to try it. Thanks to a recommendation, I did. The choices are all appealing off the menu. Customer service was good. Environment on the outside dining definitely gave me a taste of Jamaica. Now focusing on the food. We ordered Chicken Roti with a side of Sweet Fried Plantain, as well as, Brown Stew Chicken with a side of 3 Cheese Mac. Pros: Presentation was great. Cons: Lacking in flavor ... needed a tad bit more for the brown stew and curry chicken. Mac and cheese was just ok.... didn't hit the way I expected it to. Finally the main dishes did not come out piping hot which was a big disappointment since there were only two customers in the restaurant at the time. So would I go again? Probably not. Nothing left me wanting to go back for more.

Jacinta J.

Yelp
We were craving Caribbean and we were not disappointed ! We ordered the oxtails and jerk chicken lasagna - amazing - they both were delicious! The sides were macaroni and cheese, collards, cabbage, rice and peas and coconut rice. Let me say nothing disappointed us everything was great. Our server Rain was AMAZING ! We will be back - oh we had the fried fish and jerk egg rolls as an appetizer (I know why they are a fave) and of course Jamaican Rum punches were ordered - need I say more - YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Octavius S.

Yelp
I would describe this restaurant as a hidden gem. It's a small low key Caribbean Restaurant that gives great island vibes as the music plays in the background. Every time I visit here my meals are prepared to my liking and the food is very tasty especially their Jerk Lasagna!

Karo R.

Yelp
I'm impressed!!! A Fan! The food is really good! Look out Rodney's there is a new Chef in town -lol My friend and I decided to meet up for dinner and we decided on this spot. Great choice, we came out on a Thursday evening, it wasn't crowded, but I notice a lot of to go orders. The service was great and the $5 passion fruit mojitos kept us smiling the entire visit! (Btw:they have a full bar) The restaurant is really nice, a very laid back vibe, the staff was very accommodating. I ordered the curry chicken, which was $12, not only was the food good, but it was plated well.... I almost didn't want to touch it. LOL. My friend ordered jerk chicken, which was spicy but really good. The plates came with a choice of rice & peas or white jasmine rice and a side of vegetables medley which was basically steamed cabbage and Carrots. Everything was yummy! They also have a great patio area, if they can get some live music, this could definitely become one of my favorite kick it spots, I can't wait to go back and try the salmon.

Randi K.

Yelp
We are frequent diners at this spot and We are always happy. It's like that moment of "Baby, you know we haven't had oxtails in a while moment moment" which brought us back tonight. We enjoy sitting at the bar so we can see our drinks made and see other selections and get instant refills .. no, not lushes.. lol We ordered our regular OXTAILS. See deliciousness of the picture. We also had the egg rolls and spicy mango habanero wings. I miss Jamaica. So the next best thing is enjoying on a Tuesday, a great Jamaican dinner with the Jamaican rum punch to top it off. The flavors were on point. But the rice and beans were slightly dry but we were enjoying all the other previous experiences that it was worth overlooking for it tonight. The customer service was decent.. smiles go a long way. Would we go back, yes....is about the review/feedback to hear the voice of paying appreciative foodies. God is Good.

Aisha M.

Yelp
Great good and staff. Quick service and great Caribbean fare. I recommend everything from the photos loaded.

Fabie D.

Yelp
The Oxtail with Rice and Peas Was My Favorite! I Can't Wait To Go Back & Try Chris' Other Meals. The Server Who Added My Saltfish Fritters To Complete My Order Was Very Welcoming and Helpful.

Sunny D.

Yelp
I have finally been able to eat here after saying I would come here after they finished construction. We walked in on a Monday evening and there was only one other person in the restaurant and he was at the bar. I think many people get their meals to go because the host/waiter asked if were dining in. Of course, we were dining in, I like the full experience. This restaurant is located in a small plaza and is right next to JR Crickets which is stiff competition, if you ask me. I almost decided to go there but had decided to go where I'd not gone before. We were seated quickly because there were no other patrons than the one at the bar. You can see into the kitchen which I like. The restaurant definitely has a Caribbean resort feel which I appreciated. I ordered Jerk Shrimp and my husband ordered Jerk Chicken. The jerk shrimp comes with plantains, a flat pancake style and the fried small piece style. Oh my goodness, I am very particular about my plantains and these were perfect. I had to stop myself from eating it all. I did eat all the shrimp, they were delicious and perfectly spiced. My husband ate his whole dinner. My son did not eat his macaroni and cheese because it had green onions on it. He's a toddler so everything throws him off. The macaroni and cheese was divine! We will absolutely be back.

Adrienne S.

Yelp
I visited Chris' Caribbean Bistro and it was pretty good. The staff is super nice and the food comes out relatively quickly. I ordered the jerk wings and jerk egg rolls. Both of these were EXTREMELY spicy, even a tad bit too spicy for me. I like spicy food but this almost took me out of the game! Now if you like your food extremely hot, you will LOVE this. I didn't send it back because it was still really good. I just had to force my way through them. I asked for ranch to try to drown out the hotness but they didn't have any! They sell salad and didn't have any ranch that day? Man! My friend ordered the Mac and cheese and it was really good and cheesy, but they did come out a little cold. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all on a Wednesday evening, so you will be able to get in and out. The portion sizes are good too, I just think that it's a tad bit pricier than what I would want to pay. I'd definitively come back here again soon and try the oxtail.

Franchesca C.

Yelp
I only gave this a star for the conch fritters. I actually just found this place on Uber Eats yesterday and since passing by it today decided to stop in. All the reviews were so mixed some saying good some saying flavorless and overpriced. I wanted to try it myself and make my own decision, I bought the conch fritters, the jerk chicken lasagna, and the bread pudding. Everything was $34. Conch fritters were over fried but tasty, very bready, ok amount of conch but not filled with it. A little peppery but I thought it was pretty good. Bread pudding was disgusting. It had no flavor literally didn't even see a spec of cinnamon or anything. It was very custard like in texture and just tasteless. The jerk chicken lasagna was terrible. Nothing but cheese, Alfredo, noodle, and tomato. The "jerk chicken" is shredded chicken with no jerk flavor. Concept is good but not executed well at all. Overall, I'm pissed I wasted my money at this place. As a Caribbean woman I was excited to taste the interesting sounding dishes but was very disappointed in it all. I would never return.

Anthony W.

Yelp
Ok where do I start? I came here once before the pandemic and the food was horrible. Me being the the person I am and wanting to give the establishment another chance at winning my business I picked up some food for me and my wife. Why did I do that when I should've just played it safe. Again the food was the worse Caribbean food I've ever had. Now we all know the motto 'happy wife happy life' well let's just say this night wasn't a good night for me. Hopefully they're reading these reviews and do something about the food. WORSE Caribbean restaurant in Atlanta Georgia!

Janelle C.

Yelp
This place is almost a hidden gem! It's in the cut in Smyrna, so it's very easy to miss. I came here on Saturday night, and I loved the ambiance, it wasnt too packed and I saw that they had outdoor seating so I asked the host if we could sit outside, she said they have a pollen issue so they want spray it down first, I said okay np! And we sat down in a booth near the window. Our server came over and he was very helpful, suggested the wings. Didn't suggest a drink but I already knew what I wanted. Their menu is very affordable and you definitely get a lot for your money. Even the drinks were pretty good, I got the Kay's rum punch and my boyfriend the mule (which he loved). I love mine too-- I took off two stars based on a couple of factors. For starters, The jerk wings were great, they definitely had a kick to them but I was a bit upset about the quality, they tasted like the Tyson bagged chicken wings as opposed to chicken wings you get from Publix and cook/wash yourself if you know what I mean. They bring out the food just warm, and NOT hot, so as the fans and ac which are blowing so heavily, your food gets colder by the second. Don't get me wrong the food taste good and they do give you a lot, but nobody wants to eat cold rice. What really pissed me off the MOST was the service, it was very veryyyyyyyy slow. I'm not sure if someone called out BUT wowwww after we got our food the restaurant got a bit packed and our server wasn't very attentive. They only had 1 server for the entire restaurant (excluding the bar). So weird, after we finished eating we waited another 12 minutes for someone to come over and it wasn't even our waiter. He ended up bringing us boxes and before he could leave I asked him to bring the check.. another 6 minutes pass I finally see the waiter as he is walking away from the table behind me, I said excuse me, can we get the check? He said "oh yeah, y'all ready?" ... yes I had asked the assistant to bring the check. He came over with a tablet, and we paid. There was no physical receipt given, just the digital that you see when Checking out. As I'm leaving the restaurant I see a family sitting outside, enjoying their dinner ... what a bummer! I probably won't return and if I do, it'll be for take out..

Yelp
The food was great (well-seasoned, sizable portions), but I really want to shoutout the energetic, attentive, knowledgeable, and engaging Rain! She was the hostess, server, bartender, and all around spirit of the restaurant! She is AMAZING! We'll be back!

Yelp
I've had two deliveries from Chris and both times, the food was exceptional. Yum!!!! Great portions, seasonings, fresh and hot/ready to eat. (Jerk chicken, cabbage, rice/peas, Mac n' cheese, wings, key lime pie). The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I am not a seafood person and would like the menu to include more non-seafood dishes and/or simple foods like spicy beef patties and spicy chicken patties, curry chicken etc. I will order again (and again)!

Yelp
Nice, quaint restaurant. Very clean with a Caribbean vibe. Lots of drink options at the bar. Variety of food options on the menu. Quick service and large portions. Food was flavorful and cooked to order! We enjoyed our visit.

Yelp
We've been looking for a good place to find oxtail for a while and after a conversation with someone we were led to this place. My husband ordered the oxtail and lamb roti and our server recommended the jerk chicken lasagna for me. I did not try the oxtail but my husband said it was delicious but for him it could have been spicier. I really enjoyed the lasagna. It was a mix of creamy and jerk spice that I didn't expect to taste great together but I was wrong. I would order it again. The lamb roti was not what I expected. I expected a couple of pieces of roti with a side of lamb that you could eat separately but when it came it was lamb in rolled into roti, much like a lamb burrito but so much better. The lamb was very tender and the spice level was amazing. We will definitely return to this restaurant to try something else :)

Yelp
Honestly it's the flavor for me! Every time I come here the food is excellent. This time, I tried the jerk egg rolls. Babbayyyyy! So good! It is everything you thing it will be. I also got a side of Mac and cheese. My brother is the Mac and cheese connoisseur and he approves! A+

Yelp
This is a different kind of Caribbean flavor! Delicious options decorate the menu, and I found it difficult to choose. I picked the mango shrimp with coconut rice with a side of candied yams. All delicious. The shrimp was tender and generous. The mango flavor was great. The candied yams had a nice "twang." There are some great cocktail options too. I enjoyed the Island Vibe as a sweet drink with a unique flavor.

Yelp
Food is terrible. Customer service is terrible. Will not revisit.

Yelp
I love love the fried snapper the best. It's like back home in Nigeria. I wish they are open seven days a week.

Yelp
I really wanted some red snapper and found this place. After working all day I didn't even want to cook and decided to try Chris' as it's on the way home. I called my order in about 15 min ahead of time. When I arrived I went to the counter and let them know I called in. It took an additional 5-10 minutes or so on my food which was fine. What I noticed is they had a board that stated how many Yelp reviews they received for the week and the new goal for the week. They had it outlined by stars as well. I really liked that they were setting internal goals to be a great establishment. Now the food. My food was delicious. As you can see the meal comes with two sides and that was fine. My meal was $19 and I split it over the course of 2 days. I look forward to coming back and dining inside as the ambiance and service was satisfactory.

Yelp
While in the area during lunch time on a Wed I was in the mood for some good food and based on the reviews I thought Chris's Caribbean Bistro would be a good pick. The restaurant is located in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking. This bistro has a very attractive appearance from the outside. When I walked in there were not many patrons so I figured my stay would be short since I was going to order something healthy like a salad. The ambiance was cozy not too small, they have a full bar and patio seating. No one was at the hostess stand when I walked in so I walked straight to the bar. After sitting in front of a young lady who works there for about 3 minutes I realized that she had no intentions on greeting me nor asking me if I needed a menu so I had to ask her for a menu. I was given a lunch menu and the items nor the prices were impressive. There was nothing on the lunch menu that I could eat that didn't contain meat and the prices were similar to dinner prices at most Caribbean restaurants. I was then handed a dinner menu and decided on the Bahamian Conch Salad to go. My salad took about 25 minutes to come out and the same rude young lady handed me my bag with no apologies for the wait. The salad was $13 and I had no idea that it would be a small container of chopped up cucumbers, peppers and pineapple with a few tiny pieces of conch soaked in Italian dressing. Totally not worth the price nor wait. I'm thinking I simply ordered the wrong thing, came on the wrong day at the wrong time. I might give this spot a second chance if I ever find myself in the area again.

Yelp
They have to work on flavor I ordered a oxtail platter & everything had the same taste Which is strange for a Caribbean restaurant they are literally so big on flavor / seasonings My rice was mushy my oxtails taste like they were cooked in water and topped with gravy big disappointment as I'm from out of state looking for different things to try . Maybe try cooking in smaller portions to distribute taste to everything Outside of that nice clean setting .... Update new review for second item Whewwwwwww idk what part of Caribbean they don't understand at this location ‍ Don't mean to offend anyone but no way shape of form is the cooks from the islands so upsetting the roti was meatless no peas no potato just bones and more bones. Do yourself a favor and don't set your tastebuds up !!!!!!

Yelp
This review is base in the couple of times that I've had delivery from here, I can't speak to in-service dining. Pictured below is the coconut lime jerk chicken with veggies and rice and beans. This particular dish is swimming in liquid which was not pleasant to look at or to get to the chicken. I was expecting a little coconut lime sauce in top. The soup sauce made it hard to make sure that my chicken was cooked all the way through after cutting into it since once I cut, it was drenched in sauce. The sauce itself was pleasant and I liked mixing it with the rice. I didn't taste much if a jerk taste at all. I've also had the curry shrimp in the last and it was decent but not to memorable. I've also tried my hubby's jerk chicken and it was ok. The rice and beans have always been pleasant, I like the coconut rice the best. The vegetables are mediocre to me, not much flavor or seasoning. Overall, there's nothing that stands out here but I'll continue to support this local business.

Yelp
The food was amazing. The egg rolls were my favorite, but my son loved his oxtails. The salmon was delicious as well. We will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
I chose this spot to celebrate my birthday with a few friends and family. Raven did an outstanding job serving us! Everybody enjoyed their food and raves about how amazing the oxtails were, tender and wonderful. You made some fans today, we will all be back and bringing others!

Yelp
I ordered jerk chicken and I received old baked chicken with watery gravy. I guess that was supposed to be jerk sauce and it was cold as ice. I asked for snapper and shrimp instead. The fish I received was raw. I asked to speak to the manager and I was told he was too busy to speak to me. I paid for my drink and left. That was my first and last time going here. Disgusting.

Yelp
Very pleasant experience! -Wide variety of Caribbean food options -Jerk Chicken Egg rolls were great -Chicken Roti delicious and full of flavor -Goat was very tender and flavorful -Plantains were a sweet, yummy treat -Caribbean mule drink was still sweeter than I expected/preferred, but overall good -Service (Tiffany) was excellent and patient -Restaurant was clean -Patio seating was very comfortable with good Caribbean music playing outside. I did not a couple of TVs on the inside, in case you are wanting to watch a game. -Pricing just felt a little excessive overall -Excited to stop in for desert (bread pudding made daily) on a future visit.
