"The vaguely Victorian decor may play more to boomers than zoomers in Bryan. Still, the fine Texas cuisine will appeal to every palate. If the parents are paying, order the gorgeously marbled wagyu New York strip. There are indoor and outdoor dine-in services." - Brandon Watson

Randie, thank you for making my dinner special and being a great waitress! Your kindness will definitely be remembered and valued! My friend and I were heightened with energy and you allowed us to enjoy ourselves freely! S/O to Jillian as well for assisting and ensuring our dinner was PERFECT! Speaking of perfect, my friend was allergic to shrimp/shellfish and Randie ensured her meal was safe! OUTSTANDING SERVICE & FOOD. Great memory for my last day in Bryan, TX!

Solid choice for any occasion. Went there with my parents to celebrate mother’s day. Food was absolutely great, especially steak and wine!

Came here for the first time with my wife and friends. We ordered the Delmonico Steak, Beef and Shrimp Chipotle Pasta, and the Bacon Wrapped Salmon. For appetizers, we ordered off their 25th year Anniversary special menu. We ordered the Mrs. Pham’s Vietnamese Spring Rolls and the Smoked Duck and Applewood Quesadillas. They were all very delicious and flavorful. My steak which I ordered a medium, came out perfect. There were parts of the steak that were perfectly medium rare-ish, but weirdly dry and bland. I had to rely on the red wine butter sauce for flavor because I was too embarrassed to ask for some salt lol. Definitely will be back on special occasions because although delicious, it’s still pretty pricey. Our waiter was very friendly and fast. There was a female staff who accidentally spilt (out of all dishes) a little bit of the fish sauce that came with the spring rolls, onto the floor and partially on my feet which made my toes kinda stinky and sticky so that was a bummer. Their ambiance is a bit dim, but beautiful and romantic. Lots of parking and overall great service.

I have to say, this was one of the best, if not the best place I have been to for dinner! For starters, the menu choices were awesome and interesting, I wanted to try everything! Food, drink, and service was just awesome, will definitely be back there when in the area! You definitely will not be disappointed!

Wonderful experience! Thank you Christopher's World Grill for making our son's graduation day so special. Food and service was outstanding. Everyone in our party loved their food and cocktails. Our waiter was very attentive. We could have not asked for a better place to celebrate. We just found our new favorite restaurant in Aggieland when we are back in town!!! Can't wait to come back!!!

Living in Fort Worth, I haven’t eaten here in a long time, although last time I did it was excellent. My review is on customer service… My parents were headed there yesterday evening to celebrate my dad’s birthday with friends. I called very last minute to see if they could send a bottle of champagne to the table. Despite the short notice, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate the request, ensuring every detail was perfect. In an era where outstanding service is increasingly rare, Christopher's commitment to making their dining experience special deserves recognition. Many thanks to their team for their exceptional service and for making my dad's birthday celebration memorable. Kudos!

Christopher's World Grille in College Station offers an extraordinary dining experience that my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and welcoming, setting the stage for a delightful evening. The blackberry sage martinis were a particular highlight, with their perfect blend of flavors making for a refreshing and unique cocktail. I’m even wondering if there’s a Happy Hour so I can get my hands on more of those delightful martinis! The house filet at Christopher's World Grille is truly one of the best meals you can find in College Station. Cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor, it's a dish that showcases the restaurant's commitment to quality and culinary excellence. Every bite was a testament to their passion for great food. For the past half a decade, Christopher's World Grille has hosted my company's Christmas events, consistently providing an exceptional experience. Their service goes above and beyond in every way, ensuring that each event is seamless and enjoyable. The staff's attention to detail and dedication to making every guest feel special truly sets them apart. Whether you're planning a special celebration, a corporate event, or simply looking for an outstanding meal, Christopher's World Grille is the perfect choice. Their commitment to excellent tasting food and exceptional service makes it one of the best dining destinations in College Station.

Amazing food each & every time we visit. Service is impeccable. They made our Andrews family reunion so very special. Growing up in this ranch house & seeing it restored to this fabulous restaurant is so special to me. You’ve done an amazing job Christopher Lampo & the Andrews family thanks you.

Yelp
Started out with a Blackened Shrimp & Crawfish Fondue the perfect way to start off our dinner. Had a great taste and was light but flavorful. Also grabbed a Blueberry Mocktail which helped set the palette for the meals to come. Overall, these two items were the reason for not having 0 stars. Our dinner party had the Lobster Pasta, Field Salad, and Bacon wrapped Salmon. The pasta was not well seasoned and was lacking sauce, and the lobster was okay. The bacon wrapped salmon was quite dry and had no depth. The field salad had more of an apple cider vinaigrette base. Overall, this is a steakhouse so I recommend going for steak or meats. For dessert, the bread pudding was fantastic and had a balance of elements. The ambience and service were great, for a birthday dinner or even a date night.

Ken G.

Yelp
Over priced, small portions that aren't nothing to write home about. Service is slow and if the place is empty they will sit you next to someone else to keep you from talking to your dinner date. Save your money.

Kelly M.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful date night or special occasion venue. Delicious food and drinks. Amazing service. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Food is awesome, service is impeccable, and ambiance is fantastic. Menu never changes, though, but there's a selection for everyone.

Yelp
March of 24, 2023 Came in from Galveston to visit a friend that lives here. Our waitress was Karen who was friendly, knowledgeable, and hardworking. We started with wine, had some fresh bread... tomato/onion focaccia (too mushy-needed more baking) the white bread was good. The olive oil and pesto spread to dip the bread in was tasty. My friend got one of the specials: Chilean sea bass w/garlic mashed potatoes and I got the redfish topped with crab meat with lots of different veggies/potatoes on the side. Both dishes were excellent. We split the fresh almond crisp neopolitan of berries soaked in rum with white chocolate cream - YUM!

Yelp
I'm not one to write a negative review, but I'm sharing in hopes that management will see this and reconsider how they treat staff. We had a reservation for May 7 at 4pm to celebrate my husband's graduation. We were kindly greeted by a young lady who promptly took us to our table. Immediately after being sat, the briefly phone rang and the Manager (Patrick) yelled "the phone is ringing, where is my hostess?" loud enough for us to hear. This was deeply humiliating, and after trying to explain to the manager she was attending to us his response was to double down and reiterate that she needed to "not leave the host stand for the rest of the day". Our table was 10 feet away from the host stand. We were the only customers in the restaurant and we were in awe this is the way Patrick speaks to staff when he thinks no one is listening. Previous to today, Christopher's has been our restaurant of choice to celebrate special occasions: my graduation, our engagement, and every anniversary. Today was our last visit as we are relocating out of state and we are deeply saddened that this was our last impression of the establishment. However, knowing the way management speaks to staff was mortifying and had we witnessed this before, we wouldn't have returned. Service and food were wonderful as always.

Yelp
Delicious! Food and good service. I taught Christopher when he was in seventh grade, and I am proud of who he has become and what he has the ability to do.

Chris T.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in Brazos Valley! The food is outstanding, the staff is awesome and the building is an old farmhouse remodeled and incorporated with the newer structure.

Beth G.

Yelp
Naomi was a fabulous informative waitress-the ambiance was remarkable like you stepped back in time ( turn on the fireplace would have helped as it was a cold night in Texas)! The food was way over priced for the quality. We got Waygu and it came in 4 thin slices -2 ounces was complete fat no meat! My husband got Filet which was average. The dessert was great.

Dee Dee R.

Yelp
It has everything! Beautiful & relaxing atmosphere, great service and world class menu!

Yelp
Reservations are easy to get just call. Nice quiet atmosphere, the staff there is exceptional. The staff is the reason they got the 4 stars. Food is more like a 3.5. Let's talk food. The bread service for 7 bucks. The white and wheat bread was dry. Like really dry. It needed the olive and olive oil. My wife got the Redfish. It was amazing. I should have ordered that. I got the special surf and turf. The lobster tasted "frozen". I guess I expected a cleaner, fresher taste for $65. It was really gamey. Part of me thought it was going bad. I wouldn't get it again. And I know, I'm not in the NE, but at a fine dining establishment, your lobster should be better. The steak is only cooked to rare, medium or well. They don't do a rare plus. I got the rare because I like it red in the middle. I also thought that maybe they would let the steak go to room temp before the cook, but it was a little chilled in the center. It was really chewy. There was also no real flavor. I guess I was hoping it would be seasoned? The fat was rendered at least. I spit a few pieces of steak in my napkin because I couldn't chew them. The asparagus was cooked asparagus, nothing fancy, and I wasn't a fan of the potatoes. My wife had this acorn squash purée that was killer. Our friends had the filet (he enjoyed it) and his wife devoured the Redfish. You should get the Redfish. Mixed drinks were good and well crafted. Desserts missed. My wife got this chocolate ganache cake, we took two bites and left it. The crème Brûlée was not good. I wouldn't get it again. The outer shell was good, but the custard wasn't creamy and smooth. It was almost falling apart and looked grainy. I should have taken photos. Our group of 4 with drinks came to about $440. I was really disappointed. Maybe a little too hyped, maybe my expectations were based on the pricing? The Republic Steak House is better.

Yelp
The food is outstanding. The service is impeccable. The ambiance is cozy and elegant. The menu is filled with many interesting and delicious items that are sure to become favorites. I highly recommend Christopher's World Grille.

Yelp
I use yelp enough that I figured I ought to contribute once in a while, right? This is, I hope, for the restaurants benefit! Service: 4.5/5 attentive and kind staff Ambiance: 5/5 Food: 1/5 - I hate to say this and I'm not sure what was going on that night (or if there is a new chef?) but, the food I ordered was inedible and just plain inaccurate. For example, I ordered "fondue" and it came out as super heavy cream dip with unidentifiable and indecipherable chunks of things in it. It came with with sad and very buttery bread. It looked like and had the consistency of frozen garlic bread. The flavor of the whole dish was flat. I also ordered a bisque... and I'm not sure how they could claim it was one considering the super watery consistency. I left hungry and unable to order an entree because of how the starters were! The person I went with ate what they could and we left pretty shocked considering all the amazing reviews and the awards lining this restaurant's walls! Hope y'all get this menu/quality issue sorted! Would love to come back if it were because it's such a gorgeous restaurant.

Yelp
Everything is very good and the ambiance is well balanced with soft music and calm, peaceful atmosphere!

Yelp
I had my wedding reception at Christopher's world Grill in February 2023. We invited our family and used their private dining room. The atmosphere was good. The service was even better. Everything went as planned. The food and drink were wonderful, with the exception of the steaks. Thank you Christopher's for a wonderful evening.

Danny J.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants I've been to in awhile. 5 stars all around. All the food was cooked perfectly and the seasoning was on point. Incredible service from Brandon. This is the perfect place to celebrate any occasion.

Mack M.

Yelp
I admit I made a mistake! I made reservations at Messina Hoff for Valentines and the food and service were terrible. We left without eating and went straight to Christopher's. Rafael was fantastic, assuring me of course he would seat us. Not only did he seat us, Karin was our server (always our favorite) and she made our night incredibly special. The food was, as always, fabulous! The new smoked shrimp added to the bisque made what I thought was perfect...perfectly sublime. Thank you Rafael, Karin and the amazing team at Christopher's for saving our Valentines...I won't go anywhere else for special occasions again! My wife asked that I add, the sticky toffee cake with Guinness ice cream is the perfect end to any meal.

Lee S.

Yelp
Five star review but I'm offering a little critique. I had the beef and prawns pasta and everything was well executed, but I would ditch the beef and add more prawns, maybe a little crispy pancetta or bacon on top. Pasta and sauce were as good as it gets.

Brandon K.

Yelp
This hot spot was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday night. Glad I was able to make a reservation before hand. Was seated quickly once we arrived and was welcomed by our outstanding waitress Kaitlyn. She was able to share the day's specials and make some great recommendations. We started with the redneck cheeseboard and bread. Their wine list was on the smaller side, but they had some home run selections available. I went with the chef fish special. It was plated so well and looked amazing. The whole dish was significantly under seasoned, but not overcooked! Wonderful experience and perfect date night spot.

Andrea K.

Yelp
Outstanding and unique cuisine. A must to try when in CStat. Look forward to visiting again. One of the best restaurants I have ever been too!

Yelp
I came her for my birthday dinner and it was a great experience! We reserved a table in advance and were seated quickly once we arrived. The hostess and our server were attentive and really nice. Now I will admit when I saw the menu I was a bit underwhelmed. There were few options it seemed and I wasn't instantly excited about the choices. But, and I'll get back to this, I'm glad they have the menu they do. We started with the almond crusted Brie. And wow! It was sooo good. I didn't expect such a simple appetizer was so tasty and fulfilling. Around this time they also brought the complementary olive tapada and bread. The tapada had really great flavor and since it's paired with various breads you enjoy different bites. Overall this was pleasant start to the meal. Our main entrees were the ribeye steaks. I have to say that was one of the best steaks I've had in a really long time. It was cooked exactly to our preference (mine medium well, hubby's was medium). It was flavorful and the steak a good size. We chose the potato au gratin as the side since it was highly recommended. Personally, I found it too rich, especially since we had such great flavor from the steak. Lastly, we had dessert: the chocolate cake and créeme brûlée. They were okay. Perhaps since the rest of the meal kept impressing us we had a higher expectation but unfortunately the dessert wasn't anything I'd order again. Now, back to my point about the menu options. After indulging in the food I realized the menu was limited, it was carefully coordinated for the guests. So, during the meal it ended up feeling like the chefs real thought the menu through and created a culinary experience for the guests. It wasn't a menu filled with a bunch of foods everyone likes. It seemed that the meals were selected for well rounded indulgence. And, I'd say this was successful, maybe with the exception of desserts. Sorry I love eating desserts and this didn't fit the experience.

Yelp
I had the worst experience of my life eating here with my wife. The food was disgusting and extremely overpriced. The service was awful and I wouldn't ever recommend anyone eat here

Annette G.

Yelp
Amazing and exceptional service from beginning to end. I love the great customer service from the moment you walk in the door.

Myranda K.

Yelp
I attended a dining etiquette event hosted there. The food was fantastic. The highlights were the duo of entrees which was a juicy, well-seasoned filet and a flaky, tasty red fish. Pretty much everything on the plate was perfect as a stand-alone dish which included steamed spinach, roasted carrots, asparagus, and creamy mashed potatoes. The service of each course was impeccable. The peach cobbler cheesecake was generously portioned. I hope to come back soon! This place is a gem.

Cyndi R.

Yelp
Love this place! Can't wait to return Had sons rehearsal dinner. The staff was so helpful, polite and professional. The food was over the top. Every single person (60) had only rave compliments!!

Beth J.

Yelp
First time here! I love porch chops. I was fortunate enough to have the Pork chop special last night! It was by far the best I have ever eaten! Tender, juicy, and sauce spiced perfectly! Fresh roasted veggies accompanied the meat! Our server was great! The wine was great! The company was great too! Do not pass without going in! I promise you will not be disappointed!

Virginia M.

Yelp
I have always had a wonderful experience at Christopher's until May 12, 2023. We had a party of 6 for Birthdays and Mothers Day. Our waiter was a big man I've seen there but never had as our waiter. He was rude and condescending. My steak wasn't good but I was never asked how the food was.

Rob N.

Yelp
When I travel to different cities, I enjoy going to restaurants recommended by locals. When you hear, "oh you have to go here", I try and go. Well tonight I listened and took my coworkers out to dinner. I ordered the Salmon and side Caesar. It was delectable and presented with the highest standards. It looked like art you could eat. The salmon was perfectly prepared and everything on the side was just as good. All of us at the table cleaned our plates. The atmosphere was really eclectic and the service made us feel welcome. We will certainly be back when I'm visiting again.

Pax S.

Yelp
We were some of the first guests inside as we made a 5pm reservation on a Wednesday. We ordered a blackberry martini and an Italian margarita (frozen, upon request) and they were both incredible. We got bread service and the focaccia was the best of the three (the wheat needs some help). We ordered the Almond Crusted Brie which was decent (my mother loved it while I found the apricot-mango chutney to be a little too overwhelming). For my main course I went with the special of the night, a Sautéed Yuzu Halibut with Bok Choy and Carrots over purple sticky rice for $48. It was incredible! My mother got her favorite, the Zihuatanejo Redfish. I tried a bite and it was out of this world. The portion size of her plate was huge. We ordered bread pudding to-go. Our waitress was super attentive even when service picked up. We had a cute lad named Cole who filled up our water and wished me a happy stay here in College Station (which was so so sweet). The communication between the staff made the experience so much better! I will point out that the building does smell musty, my tablecloth had a quarter sized red stain on it, and the silverware had visible dust but nevertheless, these things did not take away from the experience. Mr. Lampo was there to say goodbye on our way out (I went to school and played sports with his grandchildren).

Ira R.

Yelp
Over the past three years, I have been there 3 time in the past 3 years. Only the first visit would approach any of the hype around this establishment. The dining area is "cute" and "trendy', the building is an old house and adds to the atmosphere, the HVAC air handler could use work but it is in Texas and the heat is unprecedented (most places in town are experiencing this right now). The door staff were very friendly and nice for all visits. However, the waitstaff could use some structure. On visit #2, the waiter was near insufferable and the meals were a disgrace to quality of ingredients, price of the meal, and my time. The fish was returned to the kitchen because it was not properly cleaned and filleted for the type of fish. This lead to a poor flavor and defensive wait staff, to the point that the check was politely paid and our party exited and went to another establishment in town for an at least 4 star meal (there are a couple of other options in BCS for the same price and raw product quality). The third and most recent visit was not on my dime, so no word was said on my part to influence the group decision (not my dime and I had food at home). This time the staff were overly busy by no fault of their own. Again, everyone left feeling disappointed. The food this time was far from Houston 5 star good (FYI, I'm not a Houstonian but cant argue about the restaurants there). The long-short: at one time this place was the best thing going in BCS. There are more options now and Christopher's must have let their game slip. This is a shame, but if you expect 5 star food and reasonable "cook" and staff, go else were in town or drive to outskirts of Houston. If you want a good cocktail and dont mind the average tasting overpriced appetizers made with good quality ingredients, give it a go! Personally, I want them to meet the hype because it is a nice venue and most of the staff are 5 star!

Chandler R.

Yelp
The best place to eat in Bryan college station area. Fantastic food fantastic service.

Andrea G.

Yelp
We came here for a special occasion and we left very satisfied. For starters, I suggest the shrimp & crawfish fondue it was amazing and warm perfect for a cold evening. The service was great the entire time as our waiter was extremely attentive, kind, and very professional. I decided to ordered the Christopher's filet and my boyfriend ordered the a Delmonico Ribeye. I am always a fan when sides come with plates it make it all so much easier. The plating was perfect and it all complimented each other. The ribeye plate came with some au gratin potatoes that were so creamy and delicious -- I definitely have never tasted anything like that. 12/10 As for my steak, it was deliciously cooked medium like I had requested and was laying in a bed of creamy spinach that was truly cooked to perfection. We finished off the evening with a apple cheesecake dessert and an Espresso martini both really great options. I would say this is one of the best fining dining spots in college station you really can't mess up with an outing here. I appreciate the quiet and welcoming atmosphere, especially on a Saturday night.

Candy F.

Yelp
Amazing food, and equally amazing staff. The food was perfect, they have full bar, and quaint decor. Will for sure go back, next time I'm in college station!!!!

Kevin C.

Yelp
Dang good food and even better atmosphere. If you are looking for fine dining in the area this is as good as it gets. Pricey but not any more so than any other fine dining restaurant.

Lauren K.

Yelp
The food was good as usual. However, the service is painful. There are so many servers, yet everyone seems confused. Our server was extremely inefficient, slow, and not socially aware at all. Hopefully she is new. Also, the girl who dropped off our food to the table couldn't answer when I asked what the dish was. Please train your servers for the sake of other guests, because I will not be back.

Tiffany B.

Yelp
Delicious food and wonderful service! Attended an event in the private dining area and could not have been more pleased. The filet was cooked to perfection!

Karen V.

Yelp
Tasty and upscale! One of the few places that takes reservations which is nice on game days. White linen fare was a real treat!

Jennifer Y.

Yelp
It was pouuuuuring when I came here with a friend. There's plenty of parking space, and the front of the restaurant has a bit of an overhang walkway so you won't get wet too wet if you're dropped off. Once you enter, you walk down a little hallway to come to a hostess who seats you. There was a mishap even though we had a reservation and they took us two separately to different wrong tables before ending upon the right one. They were pretty gracious about it, though so no hard feelings. The restaurant itself is a large space divided up in several different dining areas. It seems like a rich person's home turned restaurant based on the layout and decor. Came here for brunch which I'd never tried before and had the enchiladas which were muy delicioso. Beef Tenderloin Huevos Enchiladas (Fried eggs over stacked beef enchiladas with roasted serrano sauce, pico de gallo and lime sour cream $17.95) First off the bad - the waiter set the plates down making a comment about how their dishes are always perfectly seasoned. The potatoes were grossly underseasoned. So no. But the rest was amazing. The tortillas retained crisp even in all the egg and sauces. The serrano sauce was absolutely lovely - recommend asking for extra on the side when you order it. Lime sour cream gave a nice refreshing touch. And of course the beef tenderloin was savory and cooked perfectly. Before your meal they set down a basket of bread. The house made ones aren't that great in comparison to the store bought ones. Recommend skipping the bread - you save calories and belly space for your stellar meal! I've been here for dinner before and it seemed like a 5 star experience, but that was many, many years ago and I don't remember much at all about it so I will refrain from divulging any further on that.

Sara S.

Yelp
We had a wonderful dinner and they allowed us to sit outside even though no one else was. Isabella was our server and so sweet and took great care of us! The food was amazing as always - I had the fondue for the first time and it was very tasty! I had the blueberry mojito special and it was good, not too sweet but sweeter than a normal mojito. Will definitely be back!

Tom M.

Yelp
The go-to restaurant in College Station. I have never had a bad meal there. Everything on the menu is excellent. I return frequently, however, to the Christopher's filet--a great tenderloin filet over crème spinach, in an irresistible dark sauce, and topped with crawfish. Highly recommended.

Mindy S.

Yelp
The experience here was wonderful! We came for a work group gathering, which was great. I would definitely come back to this location for a date night if I were ever in the area with my husband. I ordered a bacon wrapped salmon with a variety of vegetables, and WOW! Amazing! I do have to say, that even though our group ordered many different plates, we were all very pleased! I greatly enjoyed hearing about the story of what makes this restaurant unique, the expertise of the Chef and specialized attention to sauces from experience in Zihuatanejo, I believe... if I have that correct and having been there, it made it special to hear this. Thank you for the superb experience and I hope to return soon!

Outsourced N.

Yelp
A much vaunted place but disappoints on many levels. First the good : very cool place that is in a refurbished house and slightly old fashioned but nice decor. They do make pretty decent cocktails and have a wine list that is alright, but a bit all over the place in terms of markups. The bad...the food just always leaves you unexcited and not really satisfying. Everyone aggressively tries to up-sell you starting from offering a drink to , apps, wine and through dessert and then to have to listen to the chefs story is a bit much. I will say that I had decent brunch, but its hard to mess up eggs. But a duck breast once time had flabby skin, steak overcooked and had to be sent back and then the next one was blue inside, pastas are overcooked (I can forgive this because people seem to not like al-dente pastas!) but too much sauce. Overall not my favorite place and I avoid hosting business dinners there or joining anyone for business dinners there

Andi G.

Yelp
Love going here when I'm in town! The ambiance is wonderful, the service is top notch, and the food is divine.

Steven P.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere! The House filet is definitely my go to on the menu! Great variety of food and quality is top notch.

Kathy R.

Yelp
Quality food and presentation and excellent service. Great for celebrating special occasions.

Yelp
Amazing food! Great rotation of seasonal menu and always has exceptional options! 10/10

Don B.

Yelp
Excellent food and great service. Great for special occasions. Everything is a bit pricey, but of excellent quality.

Dwight G.

Yelp
Wonderful gem! A true culinary experience! Expertly prepared food and a warm ambience! I am sure you will want to return again and again!

Jordana G.

Yelp
Very enjoyable service, food, and ambience. The sea bass amuse bouche on a crunchy wonton wrapper with arugula was a lovely little bite to start the meal. Our cocktails, a perfect Bellini and an ok Old Fashioned were served quickly. The bread basket was a surprise because of the quality of the breads and the super flavorful green olive tapenade served with it. I usually don't eat bread at meals because it fills me up, but the bites I took of the wheat and sourdough were great with that olive dip. The apple and gorgonzola salad with walnuts was beautifully prepared with a light dressing and very fresh ingredients. A really nice light salad with lots of texture and flavor, but not too much for a big entree later. The star appetizer, though, is the Shiner Bock onion soup. OMG. Just order it, you won't regret it. Both our steak entrees, the Campfire Delmonico and the House Steak, were straight up delicious with top quality meats. The sauces on the house special steak were beautifully prepared and the fried crawfish were a weirdly awesome and unexpected addition. I probably would have served it with more of the Bordelaise sauce and a bit less of the port reduction, however, since too much rich port sauce overwhelmed some of the other items on the plate. The rub on the Delmonico was spicy and complex and seared really well. They could bottle that stuff. I subtracted some points for a dull creamed spinach that accompanied the house steak but I'd still order this entrée again. If you aren't a sauce person, order the Delmonico. Nice wine list and the dessert selections are impressive. We got a small Guinness Stout ice cream and a fresh peach cobbler topped cheese cake. Yeah, over the top. I mean really, who does that? I also got the blueberry macarpone tart to go - plan to eat it for breakfast .
