Chronic Tacos Vero Beach

Second time visiting and my expectations were met. Came here at the right time and the restaurant was not as packed, so I was able to get my food and take it to go. For this visit I had the bowl-rito with pollo asado as my protein and I got it with spanish rice, pinto beans, with the Baja style which constited on lime, cabbage, cheese, pico de gallo and baja sauce. I also made my order a combo and got the chips with medium sauce and a coke. Came home with a warm meal and everything was delicius. As for teh restaurant, the place was kept clean and the staff was super friendly. Unlike the other competition the prices here are fair and dare I say better quality in portions and in flavors.

Decent taco joint in Vero Beach. Tacos have plenty of protein and other toppings. Tortillas are thick. Refried beans are flavorful. Burritos are HUGE !!

Ok not spectacular food. Guess we got there just before closing - chairs were noisily being stacked and floor swept while we’re sitting there eating. Do not need to return, we tried it and “so-so”

The food was very good and very reasonably priced. The restaurant was clean and the staff friendly. While we had enough to eat with 2 tacos each, we originally tried order the two taco plate with rice. The staff member waiting on us had a difficult time fully understanding our order. I do not believe she's really comfortable with English yet, but she was very friendly.

Food was horrible and tasteless. Mexican rice was half done and had no flavor. Will not recommend to anyone.

The food was really good. Portions were big so we had to take food to go. What I didn’t appreciate was the fact that the waiters were rushing everything which caused them to forget to bring me my water like a couple of times… However I can forgive them that because I really liked the food.

Ate take out but got the California burrito and it was so good with French fries. Solid choice if you are in the mood for burrito, they are super big and yummy. Restaurant was clean. They have inside or outside seats. You order at the front and they build your food as you order ...

Food: so good. Blows chipotle and Moes out of the water. The Spanish rice and sauces amped up the flavor just enough. I had the surf and turf which was so tasty. The shrimp were made to order so my burrito was warm and so good. Service: very good until the owner thought we were lying about getting the surf and turf in order to get the free churros. He questioned us but in the end gave us the churros. Kind of embarrassing. The manager (not the owner) was super nice and kind as well. Ambiance: typical but fun murals. Why the 4 stars vs 5? Because of the churro issue and the fact they do not have a baby changing station so I had to change the baby on the bench where everyone was eating.

Deserves five stars since we went in at 10-5 minutes before closing time. I thought they closed at 10 but it was nine and usually you don't get the best experience that close to closing time but the staff was really professional and cool and the food was still high quality. So due to my own oblivion what would be a solid four star review is now a five star review due to the professionalism of the staff

Customer service is a 10/10. I had this male guy who helped me out during the progress, and he was super friendly. Everyone else is also very nice and the food was good. Will definitely come back with my family next time!

Food was tastier the chipotle. However, it was ruined by the service. It felt as if the employees were annoyed and then refused to redeem our yelp voucher for free churro bites. So we paid the $4 for the bites which were delicious yet very small serving.

I expected more taco options, instead I realized its a fake chipotle. I told the girl it's my first time here and she ignored me and didn't offer an recommendations. I ordered the Surf & Turf burrito. She went over the toppings and told me to have a seat. The cashier told me she forgot to charge me and called me back up. When the food was ready, the lady making my burrito didn't know I had paid extra for the guacamole. Looks like a disfunction burrito place.

I always enjoy the food here. As long as you ask for extra, they give you a generous amount. The service is decent. They no longer have cups of water, which forces you to buy a drink. In my opinion, this isn't right. I like their selections of cheeses. The pinto beans are my favorite, but all the bean options are really tasty. The pico de gallo is packed with flavor.

First time here and I was not impressed. Food was ok. Service by the male employee was subpar. Never really engaged and was extremely slow. By the time we got to the table the food was luke warm. 3 times while eating, observed male employee, touch his eyeglasses and face with his gloved hands. Did not change them. Manager needs to retrain employees on sanitation.

Chronic Tacos is an upfront let down. When you hear the word chronic you expect to walk in to place with Dr.Dre playing in the background. Or people smoking chronic. What I actually found was employees were chronically bored out of their mind. The artwork on the wall is really great! I was super impressed by this mostly because I'm not too good at Art myself. The floors Paris metallic epoxy. Metallic epoxy is an awesome finish except when the person who does it doesn't do a very good job. For some reason you can see roller marks in it and lots of dots were there spikes were penetrated. Now what you do epoxy you have to roll and walk in a way we roll over spot you were just stated in to avoid all the spike marks. You also want to make sure that you roll until the epoxy is laying flat I'm floating in the epoxy you should not see roller marks. Now the price in here was actually pretty expensive. At least a portion size was pretty fair. Even with the coupon I still spend more than I would at Chipotle or Moe's. It was unclear if their food was on the same level of organic as Moe's. The food itself tasted good. It didn't stand out but it also didn't Stand Down. The real killer for me with all these Taco pop ups is that the prices keep going up are the services Meh and the food isn't tasting super great. What if I take myself down to a small taco stand or food trailer in the area the price is almost a quarter all these people charge the service is just as good what the food stands out and taste amazing it is a flavor explosion in your mouth. It's likely Chronic Tacos was open by some people that were chronically smoking I have chronically bad taste buds. I imagine turn the menu preparation it pretty much went " yeah bro this taste dank" " these black beans come out of a super cool can bro, you totally heat them up and sell it in burritos dog" but when you taste buds are clogged up with chronic and your brain is under enhanced living experience mode it all tastes great. I might come in again as a service is really great you are greeted bye beautiful faces. Friendly staff and clean bathrooms.

I wish I had taken a picture before I ravaged the carne assada and the pollo assado tacos. Loved the GF options, and all the toppings. Bathrooms were clean and service was great. Had to go back and order more tacos. So delish.

I had high hopes... I really did. Not a fan I can say. The place is very clean, everyone is very nice and prompt. There are a lot of options for your meal also. We had the following. 1 pork taco - corn and one beef taco - corn and one sautéd fish small burrito. They warm the tortillas up but not enough so that they are crispy, which I wish they were a little more done. They put two of them together, because they fall apart while eating them, this is the reason for 2 shells. Flavor was also lacking, even with the salsa on. I just expected more of a "wow" flavor from what I had read. The burrito. Small, compact and filled with whatever you want. Fish was "fishy" tasting, and lacked flavor a depth. I love tacos, burritos, really anything Mexican, but this just fell pretty short of it being anything like that. I seriously am disappointed.... And it wasn't inexpensive... all those for $17

LOVE the flavor of food. However, if you're going to order from them, do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT order it online or with a delivery service. They skimp on portion size big time.... no way did this satisfy my hunger or my 1.5 yr old daughter... I can't believe they left this much space in the bowl especially paying $19 and some change (including tip) for this ... this is a joke. Now I have to go and spend more money on some other food because they want to skimp on portion size. I called and was told the manager was busy and he'd call me back .... Still hasn't called me, even though they're closing down right now.. I recommend going in there so you can monitor what you're paying for, more than likely won't go back ...

Food is just okay, service poor, ambiance just okay but many dirty tables in restaurant. The reason I went to this location out of my way was that I had coupon the the enjoyment book that I paid for. The book was $35 and offers many coupons from restaurants and other activities in the treasure coast. When I got to the front counter to order I showed the coupon and they said they aren't accepting them. They said they never gave permission to list the coupon. I have spoken to the enjoyment book people (save around) and they told me how the coupon works with the restaurants. The restaurant signs a legal agreement to put a coupon in the book at no cost to the restaurant. They get renewed automatically unless they notify the enjoyment book. The enjoyment book sends out notices well before new publications are done in august every year. Apparently, this restaurant chose to not comply with the legal agreement hence I received no discount for my meal. We asked for glasses of water and they said they don't offer glasses of water, we would have to buy something. I think that is pretty lame also. I don't drink soda and am very ok drinking tap water.. but that wasn't an option I guess. I left them with a very bad taste in my mouth. Not going back. We have so many other places closer that is delicious. I was trying to save a buck and I guess I deserve the horrible experience

Modern concept in a clean, accessible spot. Service was OK, friendly if a little robotic and we had to repeat ourselves several times - not sure if it was due to the noise or inattention. Food was also OK. Seemed to be a reasonable amount of food, but the tacos were pretty lacking. Little bits of protein and even less toppings. Overall, just OK. Lots of better tacos in town for my money.

Wasn't impressed at all. Won't go back. On the up side, it's in a convenient location behind Olive Garden.

So I thought this place would be just like chipotle... I was wrong... WAY better than chipotle to me. Veggies look more fresh and everything has better flavor.

Let's cut to the point here. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. We used our free churro bites coupon that comes when you check in through the yelp app (they were amazingly fresh, warm and DELICIOUS). My one qualm I have is that the portion sizes are not equal, my boyfriend and I each got the burrito-bowl with the same ingredients but two different servers and I got wayyyyy more food than he did. My server listed off each ingredient and went over them with me, his just asked and scooped. For $22 we should be getting the same amount, right?

I've been here a few times and the food is just ok. The proteins are bland and under seasoned. Ive tried the mahi mahi tostada salad, chicken, fish and shrimp tacos. Today my order of Baja shrimp tacos and rice and beans was a better choice. the crew is friendly. The food is always fresh and the guacamole is a hit. I spent $13 so its pricier than other fast food joints. The portion size is adequate.

I went on a Monday when the special is a dollar off Burritos so when I was ready to order I asked the girl taking my order if this special applied to the small burrito also and she assured me it did. But of course when I got the register to pay it rang up at regular price, so I inquired! The cashier responded very quickly no, she was wrong, in which I responded then there needs to be better communication amongst the team and told her then someone needs to explain how the promotion works to the girl taking orders. All this took place in ear shot of who appeared to be the manager, who walked away once I began to question the process. As I write this review nobody took the time to explain the promotion to the order taker. The low review is not about the $1.00 but about the lack of trying to correct a mistake for the customer. I doubt I will come back as the atmosphere is too much like Chipolte Grill and I prefer the vibe Taco Dive much more.

had the food uber eats, thinking what could go wrong. Burrito was ripped open. Burrito didn't even taste good. Ultimate fries we're ok but still not good. Definitely won't catch me eating there again. spent almost 40 dollars on disappointment

better than chipotle! I got an Al pastor burrito filled to it's breaking point with all good things in this world. The queso was unbelievable and it made me insanely happy.

I was on vacation down here and was very happy to find a Chronic Tacos as I really enjoy their food. I ordered ahead in the app for pick up and we drove over. Upon entering I noticed they were very crowded and quite busy. I walked up to the counter by the registers and waited for someone to acknowledge me. When the personworking the register finished with a customer they asked how they can help and I told them I had ordered in the app. They took my name and went to check for the order. While I waited they personally prepared the order. I asked if I could get jalapenos on the one item since they were not in the app. She said it would be no problem. All the employees were wearing masks and working to keep things clean. We were the only customers who were wearing masks or even appeared to have them. The staff was very friendly and efficient and did an excellent job on our order. We got to burrito bowls and one salad and everything was prepared very well and tasted fabulous. we were very satisfied with our food and service from this location and would definitely come back.

Great food portions. Totally customizable to everyone. Vegetarian& gluten-free. Kid menus available too. Busy lunch rush though. Near petco side don't get lost

Menu is simple & easy to order from, and the food is delicious! Also very affordable... food for two with drinks totaled under $30. This will easily become our go to spot for Mexican food in Vero!!

From the outside this place looks like it's going to be a hit plenty of people inside and out . Walk in clean and beautiful but it's all about the looks . When ordering the worker kept assuming I was finish so she was giving herself extra work by having to write more tickets instead of asking anything else before handing ticket to cook . I ordered chronic fries a burrito a potato taco and a beverage total was $27 for the quality of the food it's definitely not worth it . There's a chipotle in the same place which I could have gotten the same dishes and paid a couple bucks less for better food . The other two young ladies who were doing toppings and register were also very clueless as the kept getting distracted by others around them . This place is just a fancier wannabe chipotle whose food is subpar not to mention not a single employee was wearing a mask

We tried this place for the first and last time. We're not impressed with anything we tried here. The food was simply nasty! Rice wasn't fully cooked and wasn't very flavorful. My fish and shrimp tacos were nasty plus very spicy tasted terrible. My husband likes hard tacos and was very disappointed as they only have fried flour tortillas used as there hard version. Also The meat was nasty tasting to boot! Chips were stale and the salsa was not at all good either. Definitely not worth the hype that my friends give this place

Came to this place for the first time and and i was not expecting much however i was surprised when i took the first bite. I had the steak and carnitas tacos and they were both delicious. Not only was the food really good but the service as well. The lady that helped me was soo genuinely nice and very inviting. I will definitely be coming back.

The tacos are small the tortillas they just warm them up not even like a little brown just straight warmed up and the portions of meat extremely small and the chip bags are a joke seriously for fifteen dollars it's a rip off and definitely not Mexican more tex mex if anything

So, it's awesome that Chronic offers a variety of vegan options...but I just wish they would prepare their Beyond Beef better. The last three times I have ordered tacos from them the "beef" is cold. Today I watched to see when it would be sat on the servers window after the cooks in the back prepared it...rather than calling me up to finish building g the tacos they sat until the rest of the line was taken care of. I loved this place when they first opened but quality is slipping FAST. They either need more employees or the people who are there need a raise because no one is inspired to actually take care of their guests.

Best Tacos in Vero Beach, hands down. You can get them 3 ways, traditional, street style or Santa Fe, or make it your own way. Inexpensive. Friendly staff and nice environment. they have specials every day of the week. Example, Tuesdays is taco Tuesdays and it's a dollar off each taco you order.

I really wanted to love this place. It's close to my house and I love taquerias. But I was underwhelmed. This is a copy of Moe's or Chipotles. I ordered a torta. The Al Pastor (spicy pork) was very flavorful. The retried Beans were the consistency that I like, but lacked flavor. I will try it again with different selections, and maybe I'll have a better lunch.

It's great to have something here that I remember from Southern California. Yes, it's a fast food joint comparable to Moe's but personally, IMO better. You can get breakfast. Since moving here, I have missed chorizo breakfast burritos so much. Chronic Tacos has em'!!! Yay! They have a Chronic Fries, yummo! Street tacos with corn tortillas, yes! Toppings that top it all off, cohetta cheese, cilantro, and pepper sauce. New location so they're working so kinks out but overall, great experience. Staff is friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Place has a SoCal vibe. Unfortunately, once I go out the door, I'm nowhere close to home. Would recommend though.

Must have been here at least 15 times since they opened, still tell myself I'm going to try something different but am stuck in the fish tacos. I travel on a regular basis and try fish tacos every so often, but haven't found any better than here. Glad they came to Vero,

The only thing I miss about California is the Mexican Food. Chronic Taco helped satisfy my craving for taco truck style tacos. AND they are open for dine in.

Ate here last night. Food was excellent and fresh. Had tacos al pastore, guacamole and chips. Ordered online and picked up in 15 minutes. Clean restaurant. Would definitely eat here again.

Well, they do not honor the check-in coupon on Yelp. So right off the bat I'm irritated. I got the sautéed shrimp soft taco. Spicy! The churro dessert sticks were good. But this food was a biit pricy for what you get.

Chronic tacos come with chronic price tag and weirdlocation. Decent fixings to select from, but they need to adjust their pricing. Yes, we know the guac is extra, so is everything else. It's a glorified chipotle at best.

First time coming here and it was amazing. So much better than Moes or chipotle. Everything tasted amazing and the queso was very good. Will definitely be back.

It reminds me of all these taco shops like triple layer or some of the other ones where you stand in line and order it wasn't anything that special they really need to work on their meat habit more flavorful may be cooked better they rest of the ingredients were very fresh the restaurant was very clean and the staff was very friendly just all of their proteins they need to definitely work on

We were down in Vero Beach and decided to try this restaurant as we heard one had just opened in Orlando but we hadn't tried it, yet. I wish that I could say that I enjoyed this place because I love tacos (who doesn't) but with all the competition out there nothing I tried really stood out. Upon entering the order queue, I didn't encounter any employees that were particularly helpful. They just stared at me while I stared up at the menu trying to make a decision. The beef tacos were ordinary and the fish tacos were dry. My daughter and I did like the guacamole. Next time, I'll stick with my local go to for tacos and stop trying to find something better when I already have the best.

Sad to say. Worse place for a taco in vero. Customer service is par if that. The street tacos were not even close to street style. I gave this place 3 tries. They struck out.

Not very good - bland, tasteless, boring food. A rural Midwesterner's idea of what tacos are. Zero flavor and zero character. Dirty tables, sticky floors. Didn't get sick from eating there so 2 stars it is.

This place goes downhill more every time we go. The staff is rude, it was dirty and they allowed a dog in line and it was not a service dog. It had on a cutsie vest that said I love my Mommy in rhinestones. Hello? Board of Health?

Value for your money. Food is fresh, crispy lettuce and very high quality meats. Authentic Mexican food, easy to find. Staff is really nice. Salsa is delicious.

Much better than Qdoba or Chipotle. They have a fairly large menu with numerous options to customize your meal. Everything tasted very fresh and full of flavor. Great place for a quick meal, I'll be back for sure.
