Google
What a FUN place!!!! I could easily spend a whole day here! Biggest and most expansive beer selection I’ve seen in awhile! As well as ciders, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages. And not to mention all the food and snacks that are available to purchase. They also have ice cream and pastries…they seriously have it all!!! Plenty of seating, both kid and pet friendly! They have games and pinball machines in the back. It’s right next to Third place books. Just overall very chill and fun vibes. What more can you ask for!

Google
Always love a Chucks! Great beer, delicious food, chill Seattle vibes. It has indoor and outdoor seating, games to play if you’re so inclined, but no pet dogs inside FYI. They have an internal kitchen, with pretty decent smash burgers, cheesy tots, and a plethora of Korean style treats. The katsu burger was nice and crunchy, just a little on the thin side.

My and my besti got the Italian soda. It’s tastes like plain lacroix and a splash of cream. The most disappointing thing I have been apart of and it makes me sick. DO BETTER! Cause look these drinks are two different colors 😞🙏

Love the ambiance and community feel of this place. Stopped for a visit after an evening at the lake. We were shocked by the burger prices with so little meat and decided to share a cheesy fry. It was unfortunately a cheese soup- so much cheesy sauce, lovely caramelized onions and a bit of beef. The wax paper broke due to all the cheese and fries became soggy . Dish needed spice or acidity- not well balanced nor prepared with care to proportions. The passion fruit Italian soda didn’t have cream and just tasted like a watery juice with no fizz. We ended with cokes and cream ice cream which was delicious while perusing books. Come here for community, an incredible book store, a beer and Umpqua ice cream- ditch the hot food.

I'm sorry, but the vibe here is: Whites only! Had a friend meet us here the other day and before we arrived, she was treated so uncomfortably, she had to leave before we got there. She was only there for 6 minutes. If you have any color on your skin, don't expect ANY sort of customer service from anyone here. Just keep walking, You are not welcome and the employees tone and customer glares will make sure you know that! Food here is nothing special anyways. Better burgers across the street at Bent Burgers! Show them some love!!!

Google
I came here for a craft social. Super cool that they host them here! I ordered a matcha latte which was normal and an egg and cheese sandwich which was surprisingly very yummy! The food didn't take long despite having a big crowd, they must be running a well oiled machine

Google
This used to be a PCC store. Very good selection of books for sale. There's a beer and beverage garden with plenty of seating. Small parking lot on site and also free street parking available. They do NOT accept cash ( cashless only )

Google
Great location, busy place, nice selection of drinks on tap, service was average, the food was just okay.

Yelp
Fun place. Good beer and food. Nice people. Love the bookstore and the activities. Easy to get in.

Yelp
Great spot! Lots of local drafts. Friendly beertenders. Attached bookstore. Hang out spots downstairs. Lots of canned pints downstairs too. They hosted a trivia while we were there which was fun. Parking limited but seems to be plenty of street parking if you don't mind getting some steps in. Food was fantastic as well which complimented the beer. Korean Spicy Wings (5): Legit korean fried chicken flavors! I would've liked it a little spicier but they were still good. Crispy. Good Flavor. Moist wings. Decent size. Double Bacon Smashburger (5): The smashburgers here are legit! They really smash the patties which crisp up the edges nicely. Because its a legit smash, you gotta get a double. You can add a patty to any burger. You can even get an impossible patty as well! The bacon on this thing was thick cut and crispy. Everything was great. Overall great spot to hang out, grab a beer, decent grub. we'll be back!

Yelp
I have been here many many years ago and boy, this place became something else since! My buddy and I came here to try the Veil, Other Half, and Monkish Collab beer (which was amazing - the name of the beer was Hey Hey Echo Echo) and we really enjoyed the outdoor seating and the atmosphere. Service is great here. They got like 50+ taps and probably over 1000 beer bottles to go. Dog friendly. They always have a food truck if you get hungry. Highly recommended for all craft beer lovers.

Yelp
I love this place. It's one of my favorite spots. Beer is great. Cool vibe. People that work there are nice. Epic selection of snacks. Very kid friendly which is nice. Seems very pet friendly also. Food is fine (and I eat their food often) but not the reason you come here. Sometimes they have a rotation of food trucks which is a nice touch. It has a bookstore next door (see my other review of the bookstore). Sometimes we order coffee and pastries and they're great also. Their espresso is a little on the lighter side but very good. Pastries are always exceptional. No complaints. Love this place.

Yelp
The service is amazing, it's great to have beer, coffee, ice cream, and a bookstore all in one and the selection of fears unbeatable . terrible food. Great selection of beer. the food can be horrendous. I been coming here for a while and thought I was savvy when is comes to what to order and still I get hit with a curve ball now n again. The $10 breakfast burrito is terrible, it's like one of those frozen burritos. The wings are good and the monster fries are mid but give you the most bang for your buck. the burger is Dick's size but not Dick's price.

Yelp
Great beer and great service! The outdoor patio is dog friendly and a nice place to enjoy your drink. I definitely recommend trying the smash burgers!

Yelp
In the secluded Seward Park, this CHS location is most unique on its own ~ BEER & BOOKS! Shared building space with Third Place Books, it is a destination for beer or book geeks. 50 taps, rotating food trucks everyday, ginormous selection of wine & beer, pup & family friendly. The intention is to come here to sip and read; end up playing too much pinball lol. A must stop after hiking around Seward.

Yelp
A bookstore-brewery combo which I absolutely loved -- I stopped in to browse at Third Place Books and ended up spending the evening at the brewery. I've been to a Chuck's before but LOVED this location! They have such a great variety to browse and choose from and the bartenders are very sweet and helpful. I'm appreciative of their color-coded list, which helped me find some ciders and IPAs that I really loved. They have tons of seating upstairs and downstairs and their beer shop (apart from being so much fun to look at) had tons of fun picks -- a personal favorite is the Old Man Yelling IPA from Cloudburst brewing! I hope to be back to the Seward Park location soon!

Yelp
Super chill and attached to a bookstore! You can go downstairs and play pinball while you browse their endless selection of beer, cider and wine. The food was also great, my friend and I got their burger and tots and it was pretty tasty! The staff are very nice and helpful and will be back again!

Yelp
Great prices, nice staff, gluten free utopia, gay friendly. Might be my go to burger place for the summer!!!

Yelp
This shop is awesome. 50 taps, enormous cold storage of all the beer styles, cider, kombucha, etc. Literally everyone should be able to find something that interests their taste buds. Everyone working was very welcoming and knowledgeable. Cool set up in that there were on-site food options, a book store, as well as the drink options. Video games downstairs can keep you entertained for hours. Really enjoyed myself and will be back

Yelp
Love my neighborhood Chucks! Walking distance and the people working there are great. We come probably once a week. We love the rotating food truck, spacious seating (indoor - even got a downstairs and outdoor), various snack/drink options. Found a new favorite chip flavor! Also to top it off, love that they also serve ice cream from full tilt. Flavors are also rotating and how can you beat a $2 scoop these days? They also can do 4 ounce pours, which we like to do and get a cider flight that way. Last but not least, dog friendly! Even inside. Our dog Tobi loves it here. They even feature Polaroids of dogs on their wall inside.

Yelp
Service was horrible. Person taking our order seemed like he doesn't want to be at work and rude. Cold brew is trash, sour and bland. Sour coffee comes from shops saving money and using lighter coffees. My fries were stale. I had the special burger and there wasn't anything special about it besides it being an over priced and $8 (3oz) burger. I haven't tried any of the beers on tap yet so will update review later.

Yelp
This was one of our favorite places to stop by on a weekly bases. They use to have a different food truck on site each evening. I would wonder through the bookstore that is attached and often buy a new read. They did away with the trucks and now have an in house smash burger. Eh. It's okay, nothing amazing. And when the juicy and delicious Bent burger restaurant are across the street it's an easy decision to go to Bent instead. Chucks does have a nice outdoor area perfect for the spring and summer with your pets and kids. We also use to come in the fall and winter and sit inside with our small dog. However dogs are no longer allowed inside. So sadly, between the trucks being gone and the Seattle rain and cold weather coming back we likely won't be visiting chucks anymore.

Yelp
This is a terrific find. It's a tap house, with 48 beers on tap and a video menu. It's a tavern with great tavern food including smash burgers. They serve ice cream. Espresso. And there's an advanced level beer bottle store downstairs WITH A WALK IN COOLER! Kids are allowed. And there's a bookstore. It has a chill vibe, nice staff, excellent beer, really good tavern food, just a huge all around win. Nice outdoor seating area and its own parking lot. Ordering is cafeteria style. This is my new neighborhood hangout. It's the same "Chucks" that operates in Greenwood and the CD. Recommend very highly.

Yelp
Very cool spot that I found when I stopped in to Third Place books. Located near Seward Park there is a hidden gem where you can choose from a HUGE selection of beers as you enjoy your reading materials. They had an expansive menu for beers on tap and a downstairs area with fridges full of different drinks. You can buy some to go if you're not planning to hang out. There was a lot of seating available there in the upstairs and downstairs. I appreciate that there's a parking lot just outside the shop. Cool spot!

Yelp
This place is raking it in as a dual daycare/taproom. Seriously, what a concept! It seems to be a haven for weary parents who finally have a place to let their kids run around unattended, the little tykes free to whine and shriek and bite ankles whenever they need to. I mean, why hire a babysitter when you can crowd this space in the after-school hours to get a buzz on in the presence of your precious angels. Seriously, there are more children here than there are adults; it's so heartening to be in a place where the little tykes rule the roost! The open concept allows the noise to permeate the entire shared space including the corners of the neighboring bookstore. Okay, jokes aside, the place is amazing with so many taps and bottles to-go to choose from but OMG the parents need to rein in their spawn.

Yelp
update: thanks for putting in some non alcoholic taps. I appreciate being able to feel like I'm coming in and getting a beer even if I'm not technically doing so. I won't even be mad if you take it off again because it's not making any money. it's especially nice there during the off hours when its quiet.

Yelp
This place was already near perfect, but now CHUCK'S BURGER PRESS is the best simple cheeseburger in all of South Seattle. Check ahead for hours since they're not always serving and you might just have to get a food truck meal, which is usually fantastic.

Yelp
I love the Chucks hop shop in greenwood so I thought I would try this one too while I was in the neighborhood. This location is interesting in that it shares a space with Third Place Books. This branch of trucks also has a huge amount of taps; I think probably 40 to 50. They have several bottle cases as well as a walk-in fridge that you can go into to see six packs and some other beers, but they do seem to have a smaller overall bottle / can collection than the branch in Greenwood. So, if you're looking for rare packs to take home, you might be better served by a different location, but if you just want some great craft beer on top then you'll be well served here.

Yelp
Here to review as a regular at Chuck's. I go to chucks 3-5x a week to work and I rarely drink (I'm there in the AM primarily). They are a hop shop so they have a robust selection of tall boys and beer on tap. They also have coffee, soft drinks (ask them to add a flavor if you want to make it a little more fun), kombucha, you can even get an affogato. While Third Place is an awesome book store, I love the combo of the two together. The staff at both places are awesome and are another reason I keep returning. Thanks y'all for curating such a unique environment to get buzzed, get shit done, or both if you decide.

Yelp
Stopped by on sunny Sunday afternoon and this place was packed! They have tons of seating inside, downstairs, and outside. Downstairs they have packs for purchase (didn't see fridges like the one in the CD). What's nice about this location is you can get food (was a 30-45 min wait), coffee/cafe items and beer/seltzer. Will be back but would get here earlier for a table! Also-bathroom is gender neutral single stall which I appreciate!

Yelp
Food came out fast but burgers and tots were both cold and dried out like they'd been precooked a while ago.

Justin W.

Yelp
Great selection of beer, and clean, well lit space. They close the taps at 9:30. I tried to fill a growler at 9:45, but the taps were closed even though they close at 10 technically (lame). Also, the book store is awesome!

Yelp
Happy to see Chuck's Hop Shop in the old spot that was formerly Raconteur. Plenty of seating inside and outside and good beers on tap. Gets pretty busy on weekends.

Jen F.

Yelp
In a lot of ways, it's the perfect combination (a bookstore and great beer!) The beer selection is amazing and staff are generally really helpful. It's a laid back atmosphere with outdoor seating, plus the whole place is kid and dog friendly. My complaint is the food. They used to have amazing food trucks and for some reason they no longer have any and only have the "burger press." The burgers are cheap because you get a paper-thin burger - it's mostly bun. There is a vegetarian option, but same goes. Since the food trucks stopped, it doesn't really feel worth it anymore. They have snacks (chips, popcorn, candy...) at the register, but the only meal is the "burger press." I used to go here ~once a month with friends but haven't been back since the burger press became permanent. Sad to lose what used to be one of the best hangouts on the South end.

Yelp
The staff here is amazing. Shoutout to Carmen who helped my stressful self put together a lil shindig for my husband last minute - she was SO helpful, sweet, and went above and beyond. Our friends mentioned how she checked in with them and felt very well taken care of. I didn't catch the names of the rest of the staff but they had THE BEST energy ever too. Oh and the beer was good too obviously lol.
