The 38 Essential Amsterdam Restaurants

"This bubble tea shop in the city’s Nine Streets neighborhood began as a takeout concept. While its bubble tea is unquestionably delicious (particularly the brown sugar milk tea with tapioca pearls and the mango jasmine tea with lychee jelly), Chun’s sandwiches are especially worth a visit. Thick slices of fluffy, golden-brown toasted brioche are split from the top, forming a perfect little pouch for lavish fillings. The creamy egg salad toast is wonderful in its simplicity, but you’ll never forget the bulgogi toast: tender strips of rib-eye in a Korean marinade, topped with boiled egg, spicy gochujang sauce, and yuzu mayonnaise." - Monique van Loon

BULGOGI SANDO is absolutely worth the wait! The wait was without a doubt long (about an hour from the end of the bridge) but worth it! Their banana matcha had a super artificial banana flavour but was still delicious! The garlic prawn was good but if you had to go with one, the bulgogi takes the cake. It’s a QR code order system fyi!

We order Bacon Egg Cheese and Rib Eye Bulgogi and they were both delicious! We also ordered matcha banana cloud and flat white and they were so delicious! If you come early you only wait for a few minutes. We waiting for 35 minutes. You can also take out.

Very good halal options. Sandwiches were amazing although most were filled well but there was some that had a lot of bread left at the bottom. Matcha ice tea with strawberry was fantastic. Ques were crazy but that's a compliment I guess.

We waited for approx 35 mins on a Saturday, long but quite orderly. Ordered a bulgogi beef and shrimp avo sandwich. Both were really tasty and well marinated, bulgogi one was our favourite. Also tried the strawberry matcha and it was one of the best I’ve had from various cafes.

The sandwiches are absolutely delicious, matcha and coffee were good too. I would recommend to just get your order to go because the line is insane. It gets very busy during the day and who knows how long you'll have to wait because there's very limited seating. We waited less than 10 min for take away and we arrived 15 min after they opened. It was worth the wait!

Recommended by others on social media. Made a visit on Sunday around 3pm. It was crowded. Had to wait around 30min for takeaway orders. Food menu was around toast and drinks. Drinks were great, food was solid. No regrets waiting.

Worth the hype. Thankfully, we went on a weekday right before lunchtime, so we didn’t have to wait too long for a table. We shared the beef bulgogi sandwich and it was delicious and rich, but we’re glad we shared as we wouldn’t have been able to finish one on our own. The strawberry matcha was also a highlight! Very tasty and visually appealing too.

I waited in a queue in heavy rain with my friends to enter this Café, I didn’t understand what the fuss was about at first. We were given umbrellas which was immediately brilliant customer service. Inside was a cozy atmosphere. Once the food arrived I was taken away by how delicious it was. This place is not just a Café it really tasted like gourmet. The toast was savory and sweet at the same time, I will never forget the joy I felt as it was a perfect match for my taste buds. The bread was not fully sliced which made a difference, it felt like a pocket of tasty ingredients. Limited menu options but expertly prepared.
