Chun Café Berenstraat

I tried the rib eye bulgogi sandwich and the iced brown sugar oat latte and both were delicious and fulfilling, actually best iced coffee I’ve tried recently. The meat was sweet and tender, i would like to come back and try the shrimp one. Service very nice and atmosphere nice as well, you just have to wait a lot to get in there, specially in touristy seasons.

The sandwiches are very tasty. The bread is very soft. We ordered the rib eye and the shrimp and both are quite delicious. I really loved the eggs in the shrimp sandwich. The seating is not very cozy and you need to queue some time. Sometimes the waiting time is up to 1,5 hours. The staff is friendly.

Amazing experience! We got there a few minutes after 10 on a weekday and had to wait in line for maybe 10 minutes. The goats are so yummy and filling. Highly recommend and is definitely worth the wait!

This was probably the best place we visited on our trip. There is quite a queue at busy periods so be prepared. We got the beef sandwich and prawn sandwich which were both amazing. Both very flavourful and tasty. We also got a matcha iced tea which was not great but the brown sugar tea was nice but a bit too sweet. It is quite pricey but the taste makes up for it. I would definitely recommend. There is also seating outside but it is limited. Sandwiches cost just less than €15.

Arrived early around 10am, I advise getting there early to not wait for up to a crazy hour in a queue that extends over the bridge. Cost around 20 euros for a sandwich and a coffee I chose the rib eye bulgogi and an oat flat white to go. The rib eye was delicious to a point, the sauce and egg on top was amazing but when I had finished the top part and that sauce was gone. I noticed the ribs eye bulgogi alone was very sweet to eat. I would definitely return and ask for more of that sauce inside the actual sandwich next time round. The wait time inside was around 15 minutes, staff was super helpful and friendly and speedy. The lovely door girl who spent most her day telling people where the start of the queue was and also calling the customers down. Super nice and friendly girl! It was the best oat flat white coffee I’ve had in Amsterdam grab a hot drink or a fresh juice which was also real refreshing.

Such a cute small cafe. AMAZING brioches!!!!! Friendly staff. Yes there is a wait, and it was raining unfortunately but so worth it, never tasted anything like it. We came back twice because we loved it so much. Drinks are also super lovely. If we come back to Amsterdam, we will be visiting again!!!

I came on a rainy Sunday at around 3pm and waited about 30 minutes for a table. The sandwiches are nice but honestly not worth the wait or the price. The highlight was actually the strawberry matcha drink which was super refreshing.

The most amazing strawberry matcha & sandwich. It was an experience and a great one. The flavours in the sandwich were so rich and nice. Absolute 5/5 experience and food.
