The Best Restaurants In Seattle’s Chinatown-International District | Eater Seattle

"Here’s where to get guilty pleasures made with rice flour. The mochi doughnuts have a texture that’s stretchy and chewy, and that chewiness extends to the batter on the hot dogs — thinner than what’s found on a “regular” corn dog. “Half and half” hot dogs are a great entry point, with mozzarella cheese on top and beef sausage on the bottom. Toppings run the gamut from sugar to ramen to sweet potato to hot Cheetos." - Jay Friedman

This place is SO yummy! It hits every time. I love that they don't limit you on sauces and seasonings, you can make any combination that you'd like. It really does make for some delicious flavors. I always get the mozzarella dog (half/half), my partner highly recommends the sweet potato crust for an added crunch. They did raise the prices, so it is pretty pricey to get one dog. The only downside is that the space is small, so it can be very cramped with people waiting. There are some benches and limited public tables outside to sit and eat, but not connected to the restaurant itself. We normally walk over from Metro town, but we see a lot of people using street parking.

My friend and I came in here at the end of rush hour, thus allowing us to be able to come in with relatively low amounts of people. I’d say the food was really good. However, We experienced a very long wait time compared to the amount of people present. People are who ordered later got their orders done first, while we got ours earlier than some customers. Other than that the food was a great addition to my stomach and I think it was worth most of our money. (My friend ordered the Changchun)

We all loved the experience of having these from our favorite kdrams. However, they are quite expensive at $5.99/each plus $1.99 for any topping. We got the special for 4 hotdogs for $27.99. Three of them had toppings like sweet potato and ramen. One was plain, which we all actually liked and would probably only get next time due to price. The shop is cute but you can't sit down to eat. There are a few places to eat outside but no tables. We ate in the car....depending on the elements you can sit outside but otherwise, more take home. We did like you could choose your hotdogs, so chicken and beef, all beef etc... They give you your number and most people waited outside, but they had a number counter outside so you could see when your number was served. Cute overall, no place really to sit and enjoy, hotdogs were great, but too expensive. We will be back for a plain one.

It's my favorite snack but they made it a bit overpriced 😔 would buy more if it's cheaper or make it bigger with the same price. The place was super small so it's kind of awkward. Have to try at least once! get the half cheese and half hotdog

I haven’t tried other Korean corndog places in the Vancouver area yet (if there are any others), but Chungchun definitely offers a good selection of flavourful, crispy corndogs! With a menu offering corndogs with different customizations, toppings, seasonings, sides and more, I believe that most people will likely be able to find at least one thing they’d like to try- there’s even a chocolate corndog? For me, I particularly enjoy the Whole Mozzarella- the pairing of the not-too-oily, crispy, outer layer with the stretchy, warm mozzarella cheese inside is tasty every time I get it! The Half Mozzarella is also quite good- the sausage has a nice flavour to it, and goes nicely with the batter and cheese as well! As someone who’s a bit prone to acne, I’m thankful for the corndogs not being super greasy :) The interior is clean but pretty small, so when it’s super busy you might have to wait outside as it can easily become super crowded. Staff inside are few, but they try their best to do what they can! During my last visit, it seemed like they’ve added a few foldable chairs inside for people to take a seat as they wait- a really good idea :) Also seems like they’ve changed the takeout box for the corndogs- I have two photos which show the current takeout box (pic with blue bench background) and the past one which is a little more sturdy and “official”looking - but it’s not a big deal, who cares about the takeout box when the corndogs have remained as delicious as they have been 🤷🏻‍♀️ If you’re stopping by Metrotown for some shopping and don’t feel like eating anything from inside the mall, I would recommend passing by Chungchun (it’s really close to the Skytrain Station) and giving it a try! (They do have an app/rewards system, so if you plan to be a returning customer, look into that too!)

If you haven’t tried this Chung Chun Rice Hot Dog yet, you’re seriously missing out! From the moment I took my first bite, I was hooked. The variety of toppings and sauces is what really sets Chung Chun apart. Whether you go for sweet or savory, every option is packed with flavor. The staff is always friendly, and the place has a fun, vibrant vibe. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and the portion sizes are generous for the price. It’s the perfect snack, lunch, or late-night treat. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for something unique and mouthwatering. Can’t wait to come back for more!

Redeeming my b day freebies here for the first time . Cashier were super nice and the entire flow are easy . Do have to sign up and register with phone number to get the hot dog . Very delicious selections they have . I chose the Gamsung( crispy potato ) covering , with honey mustard sauce / honey butter powder and Parmesan cheese . 10/10!

First time trying Chung Chun. We ordered the half mozzarella and half dog on a stick. The hot dog part is on the bottom of the stick and the top is filled with mozzarella. I kind of wish it was mixed together so I could get both hot dog and mozzarella in one bite. The coating is quite crispy and crunchy and very filling. They have sauce and seasoning that you can top your rice dog with. We also ordered their soy garlic chicken wings which came with waffle fries. I'm not sure if they make the chicken in-house. I saw the person at the counter go next door to the Korean bbq chicken store and return with a take out box before giving us our order. It would seem odd for her to order chicken from next door for her own lunch when they sell chicken here. Does anyone know if they make their own chicken or do they get it from their neighbors?
