Church and State is so awesome and pretty unique. It is really fortunate that we have this in Salt Lake City because there are so many start ups and entrepreneurs here. I bet if more people knew we had this they would be totally jealous in other cities because I don't think there are as many of these as you would think.
It is free to go in here and work anytime you want during their regular business hours. It is across from the library somewhat and is an old church. It is multiple stories and there are books that you can read while you're there as well as City Weekly, and other unique business pamphlets at the front.
There is a gym in here as well for Church and State members. So, how do you become a member and why would you want to? Well if you are a member, you can have access to the building anytime you want, even apart from regular business hours. There is free wifi, and you can also get a private working space. It is more if you want a conference center or if you want a larger size office maybe, which some people rent out and that may be beneficial to you.
I have seen a photography studio working on things late here one night because my husband is a member. It is about $100 a month for what he pays, but it pays off considering he has access to all the resources they provide there, and 24/7 access to work there anytime he wants and it provides an incubative atmosphere full of motivated people, with like minded visions and goals.
They have a lot of free resources they give to businesses which I think is one of the most fascinating parts about Church & State and also one of my favorite things about it. They do bootcamps and entrepreneurial incubators, which resource start ups with great resources and just helpful marketing tools, smart wisdom from people who have done all of that and succeeded in it. It is cool because they also provide a lot of networking opportunities for local businesses or start ups, small businesses, and a variety of other visionaries.
