Love this place. I came here with my gf last night. She studied in Spain and she said this reminded her a lot of her time there. Authentic little cafe. Our waiter was super sweet. I got confused about something I ordered and he was super patient and sweet about explaining how their chocolate sizing works. You can even order a chocolate drink which is like a fancy hot chocolate. They make the drinks so beautifully.

My husband and I absolutely love coming here for a indulgent date night. It’s a cozy little shop with Latin flair. The churros con chocolate is our favorite thing to order! We even end up drinking the last bit of chocolate caliente when we run out of the churros lol the owner is such a sweet and funny guy! We look forward to visiting again and again.

I can't believe this awesome Place has been here for over 14 years and I never knew of this restaurant , I guess you could call it a Hidden Gem . We tried the Chicken and Steak Sandwich it was amazingly Tasty with great quality . We also tried and Loved the Churros and the Hot Chocolate . The owner and the staff really take care of you and provide excellent service. , we will definitely Be coming here more oftem especially since they are open late .

I had left the ER in Santa Monica at 10:30pm desperately wanting a good coffee. Churros Caliente was the only place open. Something frustrating about West LA is everything closes by 9 ish. The service ,as soon as I walked in, was helpful without being overly enthusiastic. The waiter was spot on in his recommendation for me. Ordered Cafe con Leche. And a stuffed Churro. Both absolutely satisfied and soothed my tastes.. I was delighted by this little cafe. Did I mention the music? Salsa on TV large enough to be part of Cafe without being obtrusive. Im also happy to have a place to meet a friend late at night. Savory items on menu too.

Curros Calientes offers a mixed experience with delightful churros that stand out, but the ice cream is rather ordinary and the sandwich is somewhat disappointing. The patio seating is pleasant, though the presence of many homeless individuals can be unsettling and detracts from the overall dining experience. The restaurant needs to address this issue to ensure a more comfortable visit for its customers.

A small restaurant selling delicious churros and that creamy, dreamy hot chocolate that pairs so well with the churros…a must try! The reataurant has a small selection of savory food as well.

Stopped in for churros con chocolate, staff is very warm and fun, the churros were fresh and the chocolate was good and not overly sweet. I agree it's a little pricy for what it is, but I'd probably return for the environment and good service.

Best churros in Los Angeles hands down. Perfect way to end any evening is with a churro and latte from Churros Calientes. The service has always been excellent, ever since we first started coming here years ago and the owner is a very welcoming and hilarious gentleman. Just keep in mind that the gratuity is already added but they do such a great job with the food, service and ambiance that it feels wrong not to add a little more on there.

Decided to get dessert here tonight after dinner and it was perfect. We ordered Tres Leches cake and churros as well as Tres Leches cappuccino to share and they were amazing. Coffee was delicious. Never had bad service here. The gentleman has always been friendly and polite. The place is small but charming. A great place for a date night. Love the music. We have been coming here for churros for years. Never disappoint.

This is one of my favorite places in LA! Such a cozy and welcoming cafe with the BEST churros con chocolate. Always busy on a friday/weekend but we have always been able to grab a seat at the bar or tables. Parking: meter and free neighborhood parking close

Came at night and it was bustling. The biggest problem was service and taste. We sat down as we were told by one of the two men working this night. We waited and waited for about 15 minutes but the older man kept helping and taking orders from walk ins and those who sat on the bar area. We signaled and he seemed to acknowledge us but kept working and never came to take our order. Mind you this is a very small establishment and we sat inside the corner by the window. After we noticed he helped 3 - 4 parties and one take-out I walked over to place my order to the bar! The order is placed with the portable machine that also takes your payment. I tipped as well to later notice there really wasn't service provided. He never came to the table and never came to ask if we needed anything else after. The thick dipping and sipping chocolate was rather insipid. It was not rich in flavor, just plain thick. I'm sad to say I was very disappointed since I came in with high expectations. The churros were fairly plain too and nothing out of the ordinary. Dipping the churros in the chocolate made it even less tasty for some odd reason. It wasn't complimenting each other at all. Pricy for non-existing service and sipping chocolate without sufficient chocolate flavor.

Churros Calientes, you were an integral part of my UCLA school experience. Thanks for being there for me with all the delicious cafe mochas, hot chocolates and especially the churros. The guava and dulce de leche toppings are great. But definitely get the classic Churros Con Chocolat. Haven't been back in years, but I think back on this place fondly a lot. I bet parking is still a pain too.

I am not sure if this is the same place but I remember going to a churro place on Pico?? We got the order of guava churros. The guava sauce was drizzled on top. I thought it would be in the middle/ inside the churro. Looks like they prefer cash payment but venmo is an option as well. No complaints. Churros were hot and fresh, tasty, good size and good toast / crunch level.

A total gem that I'm sure many drive by and don't even notice. This small family establishment service up amazing drinks, desserts, and other dishes. The atmosphere is charming, relaxing, and simple. Everything we ordered was delicious. The service was excellent. I didn't catch her name, but she was charming and spoke very little English. Yet she was awesome on getting our order and providing us service with a smile. Don't pass this place up. Come on in and enjoy the moment.

churro was amazing. however the owner was rude and told me i was a liar because i told him there is no Nutella inside. i took a photo of it. there was very very very small amount of it on the side but no filling and i paid extra for it. its also $10.00 churro. i been coming here for 8 years but now my mind will think twice. my cousin was in town and wanted to show her a good churro place and get the dream works of a filling. owner should be nicer to clients not call them a liar and yell at them on the phone. all he had to say was i am sorry come back ill fill it for you. guess he doesn't care to lose a client.

I had a fantastic experience at Churros Calientes; their desserts are delicious, and they offer GREAT customer service. Both indoor and outdoor seating, but the place is small and cozy. The owner is from Venezuela and is a super friendly and down-to-earth guy. After having dinner at EN Sushi, just a few blocks away, me and my friend were craving something sweet. We stumbled upon this gem through Yelp. We tried their Tiramisú, which came with four delightful pieces of churros. The menu ranges from churros and hot chocolate to homemade sandwiches, soups, salads, and organic coffees and teas. I highly recommend Churros Calientes for a unique and trendy dining atmosphere shared with family and friends. It is a must-try for anyone searching for a delightful culinary adventure!

Hands down, best hot chocolate and churros! The chocolate caliente was so thick and creamy, absolutely delicious! The churros were soft in the inside and crunchy on the outside, they also have different dips but my fave was the dulce de leche, yum! Still fantasizing about this, should've bought more for take home. Their filet mignon sandwich was also great, highly recommend Churros Calientes. Such a wonderful little gem in LA. Owners were also very friendly, love the ambiance! Will be back !

Food is hot fresh and crispy. Prices are good. Chocolate is delicious and tasty. Service is good.

Great local spot for after dinner dessert!! Fun vibe with music playing to transport you and get you in the mood for a tasty treat. Attentive and friendly staff. Churros are crunchy and not oily. Hot chocolate is thick and like a warm hug of chocolatey goodness slipping down your gullet. Delicioso! :)

So much yes. Great, kind owners. Good, price appropriate food. Cute little outdoor seating area. Consistent service. Late hours. Probably my favorite go-to place for the last 10 years. Yes 10!! Went by on a drizzly Saturday evening at 5:10pm. The website says they open at 5:00pm. The gentleman opening the store seemed to be wiping down the tables out front. I asked if the store was open and he said in 10 minutes-no other comments, no do you want to see the menu, etc. I wasn't in the mood to wait, it was a teeny bit drizzly and I just wanted to make a to-go order, so I left. I've had churros and hot chocolate here before- it's pretty good, but the service this evening fell flat.

Love these churros! They're perfectly fried and crispy. I paired mine with dulce de leche and it was delicious! I do wish they had cinnamon sugar on top but it seems like they just use sugar but when paired with a sauce you don't really notice too much. Service was fast and friendly.

This is my favorite place to get churros in all of LA. The service here is always top tier and the ambiance is always just right. I've been coming here for years and but sometimes I'll go a few months without going since I'm no always on that side of town but every time I'm always greeted by the older gentleman and always makes me feel welcomed. I just recently moved back to LA and this was one of the first stops I made. You can never go wrong with the churros largos with some dulce de leche and the mango juice. I will keep coming back again and again.

The place was very cozy with a great staff. The sandwiches were good but the Spain like churros were even better with chocolate' dip.

Found this place after craving something sweet and my roommate and i decided to check it out I love their turtufo chocolate gelato and churro plate It offers the perfect balance of chocolate ice cream and a crispy light churro I havent had a chance to try their sandwiches but they come highly recommended by my neighbors This place is my go to when im craving something crispy and sweet

I got the churros and chocolate...very simple but I actually really liked it! The churro is not too sweet, and the hot chocolate was just right. Reminds me of Spain. Cute/intimate interior, and the staff is courteous and fast.

I was craving churros and hot chocolate and this place was just what I was looking for! I ordered a chocolate latte with oat milk and a churro filled with chocolate-- savory, warm, and delicious! I checked out the menu and they have a variety of tasty paninis, too. The location is small and cozy, making it a perfect date spot for desserts. This was my first time visiting and the staff was friendly and welcoming-- I will definitely be coming back for more churros!

I almost don't want to give it 5 stars so it stays a hidden gem. What a special place. This is a fabulous place for coffee, tea, sweet treats or churros after dinner if you have conversation you need to keep going. The staff was warm, personable and charismatic. The inside felt cozy, comfy and like a small coffee desert shop in Spain. What a cool place to have in a place like LA.

I have been here a handful of times. It is definitely a hole in the wall. The service has always been kind, and decently fast. Parking was a little tough, but manageable. Ordering the churros is a must as a late night snack or dessert. There are plenty of options for churro flavors, sauces, and fills. I would definitely recommend if you are in the area and if you love churros. I want to try their drinking chocolate when the weather gets cooler.

I've been twice already. Definitely the churros are great BUT if you are a coffee lover like myself. Then this is definitely the place to go for a late night cup of brew. I recommend the dulce de leche coffee, it's so creamy

This is a small but cozy place. The chocolate is thicker than your usual hot chocolate. The churros paired great with the hot chocolate whether you dip them in the chocolate or sip on it. I will definitely be back for a late night sweet tooth.

Wow what a spot! Cozy, small seating areas inside, and good acoustic music playing in the background. Friends and I went here for dessert to get a batch of churros and four servings of 6oz. hot chocolate. The cacao combination with sugar and milk was excellent balance, tasted like mexican champurrado! This was a busy spot around 9pm on a Thursday.We were lucky to get the only 5 person booth inside.

Got their thick churro and churro on a trag and yea its nice. Drizzled with caramel and condensed milk for and and ordered strawberry filing with condensed milk on the thicker one. Such a delicious mouthful. The strawberry sauce is surprisingly good

The perfect dessert, even after a big dinner! Light and airy, crunchy, sweet, but not too sweet ! They are thin, they're not sick and chewy, I can actually eat like six or seven of them !! I love that, because usually just one true, and I feel sick, with these, I can eat a whole order and half of my friends too ;-) I like a side of chocolate sauce, or a hot chocolate, I don't know what it is it's like a hybrid, it's not to think it's not too thin it's just perfect! And a side of their authentic caramel, both of them are just dreamy together.

Let's keep yelp real!!! The rating is strictly for the churros. And as I always say, if its a 5 I will come back but next time with more people. This is my go to dessert place when I want something hot and not overwhelming. Definitely not the churros I am accustomed to eating but they make you feel less guilty somehow. This is a great place! I wandered in here randomly just before seeing a movie next-door and was very pleased to find that they have Spanish style churros. I realize these are actually Venezuelan churros, but they are very similar to Spanish style churros especially if you asked for them without sugar, Sandro sandra is a very welcoming guy and the ambience is friendly and fairly hip. The chocolate they give you to dip the churros in is just the right amount of sweet.

Yelp page says open on New Year's Day and they were not. Called phone number and had to wait for it to ring 10x before vm said they are closed for the holidays and will not be open until January 8th. Next time make a little easier for people to support your business. This was a fail

Location: no indoor seating, only street parking. but they are open late with some tables outside with a couple of heaters. Order from table at front door. Food: Menu has extensive coffees, teas, and juices along with the churros. I really wanted to love the churros, but they are thin and crunchy. I love my churros crunchy on the outside but with a good amount of chewy inside. I wish this was thicker. I think I'm spoiled because of the great churros available by me in East LA. We ordered the regular churros with Dulce de Leche. My cafe cubano was excellent.

OMG, I LOVE this place! It is definitely my FAVORITE churro place. This is the churro spot I will go out of my way for because of how amazing and great it is. It is a small location and they only have outdoor seating. I really do not mind because even during winter they have heaters and since it is small, they keep you warm. The service is always great and if you ask for recommendations, they are more than happy to provide some and answer any questions. I always get the Churros Con Chocolate. It comes with six churros and a small cup of chocolate to dip them in. I cannot explain how amazing it is. You MUST try! My boyfriend likes the churros that come with Ice-Cream. I also get the Cortadito and the Cafe Cubano. Both are great. It does get busy, especially in the winter, but since it is something quick you will find a table. I have also noticed a lot of people order to go. Parking is a little tricky because it is street parking. There is usually plenty of parking at night. I am not sure how it is earlier in the day. I really like that they close pretty late compared to other churro places. :) They do not only have churros. They have food, fresh OJ, smoothies and plenty of other stuff to choose from. I will post pictures of the menu shortly.

Absolutely in love with this place!!!! A small cozy place with great seating and lights. We came around 11:00 and it was busy. We got the og churros with hot chocolate. Churros was crisp from outside and soft from inside and not so sweet. The hot chocolate was straight up chocolate and it was literally very hot so be careful while dipping or sipping on it. We sat there for a long time and people were just coming non stop.

This place is super delicious and cozy. They offer take out and dine in on their patio. Note: - if you order online or by phone make sure you say it's a phone order and what name it's under. - if you order there, they'll call your number. When I got there they asked if I ordered already, but didn't ask my name. We ended up waiting for a bit before we clarified. But the quality of the ice cream and crispness of the churros made everything better.

Tiny little place to get churros for a dessert. Piping hot chocolate and crispy perfectly fried churros. We ordered one to start and wound up getting two more orders. Yes, it was THAT GOOD. There are little tables outside but it can get really packed. We were there on a Sunday night at 9 and it was hard to get a table for 3. You can get to go order and should be fine as the hot chocolate was piping hot.

Soo yummy! Great attentive service. 10 stars. Got two orders of churros and drinks (americano, iced mango tea and a milk for the little miss) to go with it. The staff working tonight were so so kind and helpful, that just added to the positive experience. Setting was perfect. We ate indoors with our toddler and she had a great time as well. Everything is made fresh to order and we look forward to the next visit!

This was a fun dessert stop at the end of a date night. We asked for a recommendation and had the churro filled with dulce de leche and topped with guava. It was so good and an unexpected flavor combo!

Delicious but super sweet had headache after the yummyness..lol! Next time, I'll just order churros without the hot chocolate! Nice service, but they don't have their own bathrooms, so one has to go next door. No issues if you're young, but my mother is older, and it just inconvenient, but overall, I recommend this place Enjoy

We loveeee this place! Second visit here and still Best churros ever My eyes are bigger than my stomach here but mmm, churros galore. Highly recommend the churros con chocolate (sipping dipping hot choco), churros grandes (stuffed churros- you can't go wrong). The churros here are so toasty and crispy, perfection in a bite. Definitely coming back again for more- hopefully the churros con ice cream. The drinks menu is great too! We love strawberry forever and ordered it again, but there's a Ghiradelli hot chocolate here that looks delicious.... Next time. And don't hesitate to grab a sandwich here while you're at it!

The owner if very friendly and fun. He gave good recommendations and also gave directions on how to properly eat the churros with the hot chocolate. The churros with the hot chocolate are beyond yummy they are decadent, warm and chewy, crunchy and fresh! You will not be disappointed! There's small sitting area on the sidewalk so there's lots of traffic noises. It's a cute little place. It's a must try!

This place is better than Spain! I love this place for hot chocolate and churros. You have to try the chocolate caliente. It really grows on you. So warm and cozy. Staff and service is also so friendly. Parking is street parking. I will be returning!
