I honestly only made reservations to this place because I was getting the Fantasmic package and that they had vegan options. I ate here with my non vegan girlfriend and her family. The server was new and I thought the comment she made to me was so insensitive. One of the first things she said when she came to our table was: "I see we have someone with food allergies here?" Once I said i am vegan, her comment to me was: "So not really a food allergy". I was so shocked by the comment the only thing I could think of to say at the time was: "I'm allergic to many things that's why I am vegan". She didn't say anything afterward. What many people don't know about someone following a vegan lifestyle is that it's not a religion like what people think it is. I can't automatically switch to animal meat and seafood. I will get really sick when I consume any animal meat or seafood. For all menu items, food came with a starter, an entree, and a beverage (alcohol not included). I ordered the only three vegan options: Plant Based Deviled Meatball Skillet (Grits, Mustard BBQ and Peppers, & Onions), Plant Based Roasted Squash (Tomato Sauce, Succotash, Greens, & Tofu), and Plant Based Apple-Cranberry Oat Cobbler (Topped with Baked Streusel and Vanilla Ice Cream). My girlfriend ordered the farmhouse salad, pork chop, and housemade pudding. Her sister ordered the farmhouse salad, blackened fish (bass), and the Plant Based Apple-Cranberry Oat Cobbler as well. Her niece had the chicken skewers, fruits, and housemade pudding. No where on the menu said that all the food had a "kick to it" like what the server mentioned after we got our dishes. My girlfriend cannot eat spicy food so she had to get her pork chop switched out to the blackened fish where she just sliced off the top layers. The pork chop was way too dry even though she tried to cut off the top layers. We were not fans of the food. Only some parts to our dinner was good. I enjoyed my Plant Based Deviled Meatball Skillet and I liked the ice cream. For the Plant Based Roasted Squash, I didn't like the sauce and it just didn't go well with everything else. I only ate the tofu, some spinach, and the squash since it wasn't all mixed with the sauce. That oat cobbler was meh. Too sweet for my taste. My girlfriend and her sister thought the fish and house fries were okay. The chicken that her niece got was too bland/dry and she didn't want to eat it. They liked the House pudding. Overall, I do not recommend this restaurant at all. I don't recommend the food or the service. Ambiance was typical of a restaurant.
