This is my 2nd time at Cibo Vino on a Wednesday for Ladies night! With a big group I thought the service was amazing, they made sure appetizers and salads came out prior to our main course, however we were there for quite a while. The food and drinks all around were delicious both times I went

Cibo Vino was a nice experience overall nothing extraordinary but nothing negative either. We came for an early dinner. Started with a couple drinks just happy hour whiskey water and vodka water with cucumber. Then started with the bread which was solid especially with some olive oil. We split a Caesar salad. We weren’t huge fans of the tomatoes or artichoke but I enjoyed the amount of dressing, wasn’t dry. I got the starter brown butter fettuccine Alfredo and my wife had the bucatini cacio Pepe. Both were good with a fair portion for the price. Nothing blew us away but it was a nice experience, won’t be itching to go back but wouldn’t say no if someone asked us to go either.

We came to Cibo Vino for a Timeleft event. The atmosphere was fine, but the temperature inside was extremely warm and uncomfortable. Our waitress was fantastic. She was attentive, friendly, and really helped make the experience better. I got the ribeye and it was fine, but lacked flavor. The potatoes that came with it were actually really good. The food overall looked great and was decent, but nothing really stood out flavor wise. It was an okay experience, but I probably would not go out of my way to come back unless a few things improved.

A must visit in the Old Market. Had some friends from out of town and we were thinking of an italian restaurant, it was late afternoon on Friday and we gave this place a shot. I will def be back, food was great, atmosphere classy cool, service was top notch. Not pictured is the Northern Bean Hummus. Guys, seriously, if you are a fan of hummus you need to give it a shot. You know how hummus is usually so subtle you’re okay with it, but its just eh. This was actually surprising. Note, if your family is from the Mediterranean and you have a family hummus recipe, i’m just a dude that liked it. We ordered the Spring Risotto & two of us had the Pappardelle Bolognese. Both were fantastic. Can’t wait to go again.

Cibo Vino provided a truly beautiful and sophisticated dining experience, creating the perfect atmosphere to celebrate my family coming together. From the moment we walked in, the high-quality setting hinted at the culinary journey awaiting us. For my main course, I ordered the Fettuccini Frutti di Mare, and I could immediately tell the pasta was of exceptionally high quality and carefully made. It perfectly held the delicate white wine tomato broth, which, to my delight, was not overly strong, allowing the natural flavors of the seafood to shine through without being overpowered. The seafood itself was cooked to absolute perfection, offering an ideal texture. The accompanying bread was the ideal complement, perfect for soaking up every last drop of the delectable broth. Each bite of this meal was a great experience, leaving a lasting impression. When it came to dessert, we were spoiled for choice and ultimately decided to indulge in one of each: the Tiramisu, Cannoli, and Hazelnut Panna Cotta. The Tiramisu was genuinely on par with the authenticity one would find in Italy. it truly brought back cherished memories and felt like a taste of home. The ladyfingers were soaked to perfection, and the coffee provided a wonderfully strong, invigorating flavor, needless to say, I was thoroughly impressed. As someone particular about Cannoli, I found this Cannoli to be almost perfect. The flaky pastry offered a wonderfully crisp bite into the ricotta filling. My only suggestion would be for the filling to have a slightly thicker, creamier consistency to enhance the contrast between the crunch of the shell and the creaminess of the interior. Finally, the Hazelnut Panna Cotta was absolutely exquisite. Cibo Vino clearly excels at textures, as this panna cotta was a testamento to that, as each bite was silky and creamy. While the texture was flawless, I wished the hazelnut flavor was more pronounced, perhaps more addition of some hazelnut shavings to introduce a subtle textural contrast. Overall, Cibo Vino delivered an exceptional dining experience, perfectly blending a refined atmosphere with high-quality, thoughtfully prepared dishes that made our family celebration truly special.

Wonderful service. I arrived after driving all day, and they were kind and helpful, and didn't tell me they were closing in 30 min! Helped me select a wine, and the food selection was excellent. My fish was a little salty, but spice flavors were good and the mussels were not overcooked. Thank you for a great introduction to Omaha!

Google
Great food and service. We've been a few times now and always had a good experience. Cibo is a nice restaurant for date night or special occasion, (like Friday nights! ) I love their patio when the weather is nice. Great specials during the week, especially for ladies on Wednesdays.

Google
We came here on a whim on a Saturday afternoon downtown and had a fantastic meal! The spacious patio offered shaded comfort for alfresco dining. The spring risotto was particularly delicious and fresh, and the rosemary focaccia was the best bread I’ve had in a while. Our drinks were generously poured and very tasty as well. Our server, Garrett C, was attentive and helpful with recommendations. We will be back as soon as we can!

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't eaten here sooner! A group of 4 of us came for dinner and we sat on the patio. We ordered a variety of food and it was all delicious. Homemade pasta, yes please! For starters we got Mama's Spicy Meatballs, Rosemary Focaccia and Grilled Octopus. All were amazing. The octopus was the standout, so much flavor and extremely tender. We got a couple of starter pastas as well with the Rigatoni Alla Vodka and Bucatini Cacio Pepe hitting our table. For entrees we got the Porcini Beef Tip Penne, the beef tips were cooked well and tender, Fettuccini Frutti Di Marre, loaded with seafood, and Spring Rissoto, so fresh with lots of veggies. A great place to sit and share some delicious eats and drinks. If you're in the fence whether to try this place, you need to, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
I really wanted to love Cibo Vino while visiting Omaha. We ventured for a bday dinner for a friend and made reservations. I would recommend making reservations in Old town for any restaurants for dinner. It tends to fill up. This space looked nice as walking in but then we looked up at the ceiling. It was kinda gross with the spray stuff on all the pipes. Drinks: 3 of us got the Espresso martinis and they were very creamy vs espresso. I wouldn't get here again. There was a lemon basil martini that was better and reminded me of limoncello. Appetizer: Caprese Burrata with a side of focaccia. Their focaccia was awesome and perfect with the burrata. The tomatoes with it were very fresh. It was a small portion for a group of 5. Maybe get 1 for every 3 people? Pastas: - Lobster ravioli - This was a special for the night and it should be on the menu! The sweetness of the lobster was lovely and I enjoyed it. The pomodoro sauce was a little zesty but enjoyable. - Linguine Alla Vongole- the clam flavor shined and it was served with more focaccia... dip it in the sauce! Such a great bite!! The pasta wasn't super "fresh" but it said it was homemade. - Lemon Chicken Piccata- it wasn't really a classic chicken piccata and had more than capers. My friends who got this thought the tomatoes and kalmata olives took over the flavor of the capers. Not their fav. Dessert- tiramisu not that appealing looking but had a good flavor of coffee. The cannolis were too sweet with the honey and strawberry syrup that looked like grenadine. Overall, I feel this place looked better on pics overall. Some things were good but overpriced. We splurged tonight but I don't think I would come back.

Yelp
Gnocchi was great and big thanks for allowing us to switch to the vodka sauce because of my boyfriend's nut allergy. The entrees were mid comparatively, the trout was alright, the potatoes were amazing, the red sauce on the spaghetti and meatballs reminded my boyfriend of his mother's recipe but the meatballs themselves were just meatballs. Limoncello spritz was good. Our waiter Wes was the best part of the night. He's doing great, very nice guy; if I ever come back I hope to see him more confident in himself.

Yelp
My husband and I visited Cibo Vino for Valentine's Day this year. Many other couples had the same idea, obviously, but the crowded schedule of reservations didn't hurt the service. We were seated promptly at the time of our reservation, and started to peruse the menu. The prices were not out of this world expensive, but a tad on the higher side. The ambiance was pretty upscale, with lots of blacks and whites, as well as dark wood tables and black and white patterned booths. There is also a large wall at the back that is a white lighted wall with rows of wine. That was kind of out of place, in my opinion, but others may enjoy it. Our server was excellent, especially with how busy they were. She gave us recommendations, and didn't try to rush us out the door like we have experienced on Valentine's Day at other establishments. After we got our drinks and looked at the menus, my husband went to the restroom really quick, where something very odd happened. There was a large man just standing in the restroom against the wall, glaring at anyone who came in. It really freaked out my husband. I wasn't sure if it was a staff member patrolling the bathrooms or just a random person doing that?! So weird. Anyway, now to the important part of the night - the food! Cibo Vino is Italian, so that is the fare on offer here. We started with the Buratta Caprese and the Hail Caesar Salad. The Burrata was awesome and had a nice tangy balsamic and huge dollop of the cheese. The Hail Caesar Salad was a little dry and could use a tiny bit more dressing. I am a gnocchi fiend, so we also ordered the Starter Pasta, Gnocchi Alla Pesto. I am not usually a pesto fan, but this was a creamy sauce of pesto, which was delicious (some places use pesto almost straight up and it's too much for me!). I definitely enjoyed this pasta dish and recommend it. Smaller, but if you ordered it for only yourself, it could almost be an entree. And speaking of entrees, we ordered our dishes right after finishing with our starters. We were getting pretty full already, but it was Valentine's Day and we weren't leaving without some fancy entrees! I ordered the Beef Tip Penne, and it was a huge portion. Lots of protein, very saucy, and overall hearty without being too filling. My husband got the Fennel Citrus Salmon, and he had a few issues with his dish. First of all it was SWIMMING in sauce, like it was supposed to be a soup? Weird. And then when he did cut into the salmon filet, it was almost raw inside! Our waitress was super apologetic, but then said that the kitchen staff did not agree that it was an issue. Ummm raw fish? No thank you! So our waitress took the item off our bill since we basically couldn't eat it safely. And then she also gave us a free dessert to brighten the mood. We picked the tiramisu (my favorite), and as with all the other items we ordered, it was massive. Nice and chilled, with a sliced cherry on top, which I had never seen on a tiramisu before. We could barely finish it between us, but we put a dent in it for sure. Even with being so full, we made room for tiramisu! So overall, I would say there were definitely some hiccups in our experience, but aside from those things, our experience was nice at Cibo Vino and I would recommend trying it out if you're in the Old Market area and want something a little higher end.

Yelp
Cibo Vino is a great blend of American-style Italian, and more traditional Italian food. Portions are more reasonable, and I haven't been disappointed by anything in the dozens of times I've been there. The bar side has a lot of great large windows. The restaurant side can feel a little dark. And the staff never disappoints.

Yelp
While in an excellent location of the renowned Old Market, I felt the menu was lacking for vegetarian diners. For one, there isn't a single vegetarian entree available (which is surprising given how easy it is to create copious non-meat pasta dishes). So, at the waitress' suggestion, my workaround was to order one Starter Pasta (which is a shareable appetizer) and make it "entree sized." On a more positive note, the Northern Bean Hummus was an excellent new dish for me. Overall, the food was decent, but a bit too pricey for what we received. I'd prefer to try other Italian joints before coming back to Cibo Vino.

Yelp
My husband made reservations for dinner on a Saturday evening for a little date night before we went to go see a movie. We got there a few minutes past our reservation time (and we called to let them know), but they were kind and able to seat us right away. The restaurant didn't look super packed, which seemed odd for a Saturday evening in the Old Market. Our waitress was super nice and helped answer some of our questions on the menu and let us know of the specials. I got the Fall 75 cocktail and it was very tasty! Refreshing and not very sweet, which was a plus. The menu unfortunately doesn't have any vegetarian entrees or main courses. We asked about the starter pastas and our waitress described them as small plates, about 5-7 bites each, but can be made into a full entree portion. We ultimately decided to go with an order of the hummus, a bowl of the gazpacho (one of their specials for the evening), an order of the brown butter fettuccine alfredo, and an order of the mushroom and cheese ravioli, both of the pastas being entree-sized. This was entirely too much food for two people, but it was all very good! The hummus was creamy and the focaccia it was served with was yummy on its own, dipped in the hummus, and dipped in the gazpacho! The soup had a nice acidity that would be absolutely sublime in the summer. The goat cheese on the soup was an excellent choice, which gave it a nice creamy richness to cut through the acidity a little. The brown butter fettuccine alfredo was so good - it tasted more like a "real" alfredo, in that it was light on the super rich sauce you associate with alfredo. And you can definitely taste the brown butter! The pasta was also house made and you could taste the quality for sure! I had a few tastes of my husband's ravioli and it was also a good choice! The entree sized pastas rang in at double the price listed on the menu, which was on par with the other entrees listed on the menu, except the other entrees all had a source of protein and ours were basically just pasta. This seemed a bit overpriced to me. I really wish they had any vegetarian entrees options - even just one or two "token" items would be appreciated. The food we did get and service, however, were great!

Yelp
Omg. So awsome. Just got a glass of wine and the small charcuterie. I have had so many bad/flavorless boards! Not the case here. In fact the menu description sounded pedestrian and I had low expectations. So pleasantly surprised! Thinly sliced meats and way more cheese then expected. Plus just the right spicy mustard, marinated olives,... see pic. Also conrs with toasted bread. Awesome

Yelp
Came here for our Valentine's Day dinner, and it totally lived up to my expectations. The service was amazing, our server was super knowledgeable, checked in often and gave great recommendations. The space is so cute! we got seated in their side room that they normally use for parties, which isn't as charming as the main dining area. It was really quiet in there, you could barely hear the music and I felt like I could hear everyone's conversation, but it was packed for Valentine's Day, so I get it. I tried the charcuterie board, a little fancy for me, but fun to try. The Rigatoni Alla Vodka was absolutely delicious. The focaccia bread was also incredible. Definitely on the pricey side, but perfect for a special night out.

Yelp
Went here for New Years Eve dinner and I was very happy with my experience. The reservation process was very easy and manageable. It's a dark restaurant with alot of space a great place for date night. Our waitress was great she told us all the specials, advised on drinks, and made sure we were taken care of. The food was some of the best Italian I've had in town. We started off with calamari which was very fresh. We split the bolognese and the west coast cioppino, both were great! I will be back!

Yelp
Finally made it here for my Birthday dinner and it was wonderful. We were a group of 6 with reservations and we greeted and seated right away. The hostess and servers were very friendly and helpful. It was Sunday evening and the place was pretty busy but it didn't feel crowded or crazy loud. It was a nice and relaxed atmosphere. We ordered the focaccia bread, hummus and the burrata for appetizers. All of them were really good. I ordered the Veal Scallopini Al Marsala. It was tender and flavorful and I would definitely order it again. When I made the reservation I made note that it was a birthday dinner and when they brought out the dessert they actually brought out one of each because the felt that our dinner service had taken longer than they liked ( we honestly didn't notice at all!) So we got to try the tiramisu, cannolis and the hazelnut panna cotta. They were all very delicious with the panna cotta being my favorite. Overall this was a great dinner experience and we will definitely be going back!

Yelp
Cibo Vino was the holiday girls night dinner of choice, and they did not miss the mark! They were accommodating with our group of 6, we made reservations in advance and were seated right away! The atmosphere was inviting and warm, and our service was wonderful! Our server made every opportunity to get to know us and did an excellent job taking care of us! The food and drinks were delicious, cooked to perfection! I cannot wait to return, it was a night to remember!

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner on a business trip. Coming from the northeast I was skeptical of Italian in the mid west but this place was very good! Also if you use Rakuten and tie your cc for restaurants you get cash back too!! I got the caprese app which was perfectly seasoned and the small plate carbonara which was very good as well. I was seated in the bar area at a table and the bartender was quite attentive. Overall a good spot!

Yelp
I went to Cibo Vino for dinner with a few friends. We had made reservations in advance due to it being a large group, but since it was during the week it was less busy than I'd assume it would be during the weekend. There was lots of indoor seating as well as some outdoor seating. The staff were very kind and timely, considering there were eight of us. The inside had a more upscale feel to it with lots of open windows. The food overall was good. The burrata was incredible, and the star of the night for me. The gluten free menu they had was hard to read at first, but did have a decent amount of options. I settled for the cacio pepe with the gluten free noddles. It was pretty tasty with a nice peppery flavor. The portion was on the smaller side and I would have got a protein added to it if I would have known to make it a bit more filling. Overall I had a nice time with fairly good food. I plan to return to try out their outdoor seating and explore their menu more!

Kristin D.

Yelp
Absolutely outstanding. Our waitress Michaela made the entire experience so enjoyable she was informative made suggestions kind pasted out our meal smart just such a wonderful experience. It was so great that we asked to see the manager after because we so enjoyed our meal here.

Yelp
This is a great spot with a well curated menu and an inviting atmosphere. I really enjoyed the wines and drinks. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. It is clear they make things from scratch which makes a big difference in flavor and quality. The pasta was definitely a highlight. You can tell it was freshly made which I really appreciate. It was delicious though it could use just a bit more refinement in texture or seasoning to reach perfection. The staff were wonderful friendly attentive and knowledgeable. The ambience was awesome with a relaxed yet polished vibe that makes you want to stay and enjoy your evening. Definitely a place I would visit again.
google avatar

Madison K.

Yelp
I loved the vibe of this place I thought it was so cute. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night. The wine was really good. We tried two different reds and they were both delicious. Service was amazing from the second we walked in the door. The only problem was that there were massive shells in my seafood pasta so I couldn't even eat it. But our server was so sweet and apologized and took it off of our bill. The carbonara was okay not the best in Omaha but not terrible. I would definitely go back for apps and drinks but the entrees weren't my favorite.

Yelp
We used Cibo Vino for a Rehearsal Dinner. BEST. DECISION. EVER! Food was excellent, wait staff was superb...went above and beyond and ambiance was just right. We worked with Wendy who provided options, menus and honesty when asked about various choices. She was most accommodating with regard to decorations and working with food needs/requests. We chose caesar salad, salmon, top sirloin & chicken parmigiana. All were delicious but the caesar salad & salmon get top marks and raves from those who had the salmon. I'm ready to go back!

Yelp
In almost every category, Cibo Vino was average during our visit. The salads, appetizers, pastas - all were mediocre without being bad; oversalted but otherwise lacking in nuanced flavor. We were thrilled to find a reservation available on the Friday night of the Berkshire Hathaway meeting at a restaurant with good Yelp ratings. So many others were sold out! Our visit - underwhelming in every way - indicated why Cibo Vino had tables available.

Yelp
I had my heart set on seafood pasta but due to butter in premade sauce I opted for their Calabrian chicken pasta. I fell in love with this pasta. It has real Italian flavors that I would order every time! My hubby ordered the spicy, meatball starter and the small plate rigatoni à la vodka. He was very happy with both of them as a meal. They do have HH Tues-Fri 4-6 & Sat-Sun 11-3, plus ladies happy hour all night Wednesdays. We really enjoyed sitting on their outdoor patio, watching all of the people walking around the old market. I wish they'd open another place out in West Omaha! I would frequent more often!
google avatar

K P.

Yelp
Nice happy hour, with even nicer staff. Server was very attentive without being overbearing. HH drinks were very reasonable and the wine was a full pour. Food was average but fairly priced.

Yelp
So I really wanted to start dinner with soup and a salad, but I did not want the only soup on the menu the Tuscan Tomato Soup so I inquired about the soup of the day only to learn that it was cold tomato soup; Gazpacho soup! How intellectually lazy of the chef who either lacks imagination and creativity, or loves tomato soup! I did enjoy the Cibo Vino salad comprised of Arugula and romaine lettuce, red onions, tomatoes, olives and house italian dressing. Next I tried the highly recommended starter pasta, specifically the Mushroom & Three Cheese Ravioli -- House made pasta in pomodoro sauce and basil -- BLAND! The chef neither adequately salted the water the pasta was prepared in, nor properly seasoned the pasta sauce, other than to add heat to the pomodoro sauce which I don't believe is supposed to be a spicy pasta sauce. For my entree I had the Saffron Shrimp Risotto -- Saffron broth, sauteed large shrimp. tomato relish and basil olive oil for an incredibly reasonable $25. This dish was a star! Surprisingly delicious following the rather pedestrian opening pasta dish. The real winning dish of the evening was the stunningly delightful Tiramisu - Lady fingers, espresso and mascarpone filling - especially when paired with a well made Espresso Martini Grind espresso, vodka, fee brothers fee foam, and coffee bean. Dessert was a home run! The highlight of the night was the decent wine offerings and GREAT service. (Jenn G???)

Yelp
I was traveling in Omaha, NE for work and stayed around the block at the Embassy Suites. The whole experience at Cibo Vino was fantastic! I was greeted with a warm welcome & big smile by the hostess immediately when I walked in the door on a cold day. I sat at one of the high top bar tables near the wrap around windows. It was a great spot for people watching and ample space for me to work on my laptop during the visit. As you can see in the pics the beet salad and mussels were vibrant and perfectly prepared. The $5 glass of house wine enhanced the experience as well. The server did a great job of being attentive & timing of when the beet salad and mussels came out. I will definitely visit Cibo Vino again & maybe enjoy the outdoor patio with a friend or two when the weather is warmer.

Yelp
Cute patio and, partly as a result, surprisingly swanky looking inside. Great first impression! Even coming through the front door is transportive. The bartender then seemed to ignore me. She saw me, the bar was only half full, she saw me again, she wasn't making drinks ... but she just kept cleaning and literally never said a word to me. Maybe her shtick is that people have to come to her? Which I didn't. It made me sigh and think, ah, got it, it's one of *those* types of places: swanky look, snooty treatment. So I walked away. But because I was with a group I didn't leave. Had I not been with the group I would've just left. Ultimately I'm glad I stayed because the rest of the experience was really enjoyable. Our server was awesome - hard working, friendly, got everything right the first time every time. Not easy with a big group! And the house starter salad was divine. I would go back just to eat more of that salad! Seriously addictive flavor. Our entrees were generally good (people really loved the salmon) but it was the dessert that stood out. The cannoli and the lemon cake were mmmmm. Delicious! I'd definitely come back. In fact it could be a really nice date night. But if the bartender pulled that same ridiculousness again I would complain to the manager on the spot.

Yelp
I love Cibo Vino! They have the cutest patio and the yummiest Italian food. It's always on the list when I'm in town visiting my family. I highly recommend checking it out for dinner.

Yelp
Meh. The service was very slow and the entrees were ok. I'd come back for happy hour appetizers and drinks. The recommended hot beef sandwich was ok. Very messy and had half-cooked carrots on top. Hummus appetizer was pretty good. For the price, I expected better food and service.

Yelp
Second time visiting and the food is always delicious! I got a peach Bellini and mussels. Yum!

Yelp
Cibo Vino was great at accommodating a dinner for a large group! They provided us with a private room for our party and everyone enjoyed their time here! Ambiance was nice with all the holiday decorations going on. I believe most of the party was satisfied with their food and I enjoyed the bolognese but pasta was a bit overcooked beyond al dente. Overall everything went we well as could have expected and would love to come by this place again when I'm in the city

Yelp
My first time at Cibo Vino. I haven't been in this building since it was the Passport. It was a great surprise! We started with some Italian margs, octopus, burrata, and beets/goat cheese. Surprisingly, the octopus was my least fav of the three, not because it was bad (because it wasn't), but because the other two were so exceptional! Dinner consisted of beef tips penne, bolognese, veal scallopini, and tea diavlo. I would have to say the beef tips ranked 1. The veal was amazing, and had such a tasty sauce, but would have preferred it with pasta. The sauce on the fra diavlo was exceptional, as was the bolognese. We ended dinner with the pan a cotta, tirimisu and some lemoncello. The tirimisu was epic when eaten with the strawberry, and the hazelnut/chocolate with the panda cotta really completed that as well! Would I go back, yes - esp for the beets and burrata. Drinks took a very long time, but things were mid range price, and a great location for a good Italian date night.

Yelp
Calling all Italian food lovers! Cibo Vino is a welcomed addition to the great restaurant scene of the downtown/Old Market area. Be sure to make a reservation if you plan on dining for a weekend dinner or you'll be sure to have a wait. Even with the busy weekend rush, service was outstanding on all ends! When you arrive, you get a great view of the large, outdoor patio to the left, as well as the huge, vaulted ceilings which makes this place feel nice and open. Their bar area is first come, first serve so we decided to enjoy a drink and appetizer there since we arrived early for our dinner reservation. The cheese and focaccia bread platter was an excellent pairing to our cocktail and wine drinks. The best part about the appetizer - the bread was soft and savory, not crunchy like many appetizer breads. Truly delicious! Our main courses really shined this evening. I chose a classic with fettuccini Alfredo and my wife had the seafood pasta (pasta frutti Del Mar). All the noodles are handmade in house which is obvious by taste, but both sauces really stole the show for us. Not too heavy, but full of flavor! Very filling dishes as you can tell by the pictures. We absolutely plan to be back to try more of the menu and their homemade desserts next time, too!

Yelp
Another great dining option if you're in the Old Market area in Omaha. They offer a variety of small plates, soups and salad. Note that they have a separate menu for lunch so some of their items may not be available. They also have a decent drink menu but limited items for their dessert. Recommend their Fettuccini Frutti Di Mare if you're in the mood for some seafood pasta, as well as their West Coast Cioppino.

Yelp
Great food and even better service! Sat in the bar and the bartender took amazing care of us (I suck at remembering names) she was amazing! We had to have a late dinner but the quality did not suffer from being in so late. She suggested great options and I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
If you want one of the most relaxing space but with amazing food, you cannot go wrong with Cibo Vino. My wife and I went there for a date and we were delighted with the atmosphere, the food and the staff. You cannot go wrong with anything that you order, we really didn't have a complain and the staff were super friendly and explain everything to us and gave us recommendations.

Yelp
Had an awesome experience this evening- service, food and atmosphere was amazing. My server was Lex who let me know as I was ordering a glass of wine that it was 1/2 off bottles so if I was going to have 2 glasses d be better off with it and corking it to go. Started with the panzanella salad- a little different than the traditional one but still good. Then onto Cascio Pepe and the trout- with brown butter caper sauce. Oh my- talk about delish! And the entire time Lex made sure all was well and I was in need of nothing!

Yelp
Checking out some pasta at Cibo Vino. Our first visit to this location was exceptionally pleasant. We had a perfect night to enjoy their outdoor seating area and do a little people watching while enjoying supper. The interior of the restaurant has been redone since the Jackson St., Tavern days, but still offers a wonderful bar area and cozy dining. We were pleasantly greeted and walked through the menu that offered a number of happy hour specials available many days of the week. Check their website for this has it offered some great opportunities to try smaller plates at discounted prices. We also love the fact that a number of their pasta dishes are offered as a small plate so that portions are appropriately sized. Can't say enough about this restaurant and we will definitely be back! A great addition to the old market area.

Yelp
I tried the spaghetti carbonara this time and yum it was so good! Probably the best carbonara I've had in the states. The environment was just as great as it was last time, though I've got to say the service wasn't as good this time. The waitress wasn't the most attentive and messed up our check so we had to wait a long time for her to return to tell her it was wrong and then wait again while she fixed it.

Yelp
We went on an impromptu date here. We didn't have to wait very long for our spot. We ordered some of their cocktails (I can't remember what) but they were great! Our dishes were also amazing.

Yelp
My husband and I split the calamari frits, which were cooked perfectly. I got the carbonara and he got the beef tip penne and both were also incredible. We tried a few cocktails and they were also good! Service was great and the restaurant is on a cute little corner downtown. Definitely worth a try.

Yelp
This is some of the best pasta we've had in so long! Not only was our server wonderful but the ambiance was just delightful. I am a sweet wine lover and typically enjoy a moscato, while they didn't have a moscato the server took the time to recommend a wine that was just perfect with my pasta. A great date night!

Yelp
There are few things I love more than an Italian restaurant with a great patio, so I REALLY want Cibo Vino to make it. The indoor atmosphere is beautiful, and the patio is so lovely with the trees and the string lights looking out to Jackson Street. We started with the cheese board appetizer and rosemary focaccia. I loved the grainy mustard, jam, blue cheese, and salty olives. The other cheeses didn't have a ton of flavor, unfortunately. The rosemary focaccia was good, not great, and I didn't pick up on the rosemary taste at all. As for our meals, I'll start with mine. Since we ordered the appetizer, I ordered what is considered a starter pasta - the pesto gnocchi. It was fantastic. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked and the pesto sauce was creamy and plentiful. This dish alone is enough to make me want to return. However, my parent's dishes weren't great. My mom ordered the brown butter fettuccine alfredo. It's not that this was bad, but it was really missing the mark on incorporating the rich, nutty flavor of brown butter. If it wasn't in the title, I would have just through this was regular alfredo. My dad had the lemon chicken piccata. The flavor of lemon was non-existent, the chicken had a bit of a wobbly texture, and the sauce tasted as though it was just oil. Overall, I think this place is worth another shot (although I'll probably just get the pesto again since it was so great!) I hope these other dishes that have a lot of potentials can really hone into the flavors and make them standouts.

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday for dinner. Sat outside...Ambiance very nice. Unfortunately, the service was very slow from the beginning to the very end. As we were not really in a hurry, we went with the flow. The waitress explained that they were busier than usual and were understaffed. The food was VERY GOOD. We started with the Fennel and orange salad (more orange than fennel and arugula) and the beet and goad cheese salad...both were very good. For entrees we had Lemon Chicken Piccata (which was made in a very light sauce with cherry tomatoes, olives, capers...just right on the flavors) and the Linguini Ala Vongole (lots of clams IN THE SHELL which we didn't expect). Both dishes were VERY GOOD!. We opted NOT to have dessert as the service was so slow....even waiting to pay!

Yelp
My family and I went here over the holidays and celebrated my birthday. We were seated in a back area and our table was too close to the one next to ours. Anybody that passed in between kept bumping my chair which was a bit annoying. The table next to ours was also very loud. It also felt hot in the space. I thought the food was very good, but a little underwhelming. I was looking forward to the bolognese but I think it needed more flavor. The noodles were delicious and seemed homemade to me. I had a dessert which I think was panna cotta and it was awesome. It was a bit disappointing because they ran out of tiramisu, which is a staple, and they were also out of a couple of other dishes, so there were some things we wanted to order and couldn't.

Yelp
The restaurant and bar area are lovely. Warm and inviting, the bar is well stocked and you may order from the full menu. Tuesday night dinner I ordered wine (a bottle from the half off menu, as of 2/13/24) and had the bucatini cacio e pepe. It was rich, with a salty rich sauce from the Parmesan and salted water from the pasta, the heat from the pepper provided a wonderful bite. The hazelnut panna cotta called to me. The texture was perfection, with just the right amount of wobble. The crunch of the hazelnut and the caramel were delightful. Unfortunately, the large amount of Hershey's chocolate syrup on the plate overwhelmed the subtle flavor of the hazelnut and the scratch dessert.

Yelp
I discovered Cibo Vino after reading a review from the world herald's food critic. Prices, for a downtown more upscale feeling restaurant, are very reasonable! We tried a bit of everything - mussels, salads, soup and a mix of pasta and fish for entrees. We were overall very happy with our meals! The spaghetti carbonara was the only miss for me as it was too salty. Our server was attentive and friendly.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of visiting Cibo Vino on Thanksgiving Eve, because who doesn't want to fill their bellies the day before they REALLY fill them up Our server was very prompt, and attentive to our needs. She was top-notch and we had no complaints whatsoever. Whoever was in the kitchen working that night was ON TOP OF IT! Our food hit the table very quickly with no delays at all, and the progression of the meal from apps to pasta apps to entrees was timed perfectly. We were in a bit of a hurry to get to another event - so it was perfect that we weren't stuck waiting around between dishes, and never once did we feel rushed. The menu has a nice balance of authentic Italian-fare, with a few American -inspired dishes mixed in for those picky, hard to satisfy family members. Fret not - if your great-aunt Linda insists on only eating Spaghetti and Meatballs at Italian restaurants - they've got you covered! The Bolognese was hearty and delicious - and the bucatini amatriciana had the perfect amount of spice to make the guanciale really shine. I will say though - the absolute highlight of this meal for me was the Peach Belini. I'm not real sure what they put in this drink that a normal Belini doesn't have - but this completely blew all other Belinis out of the water. Next time I visit, I'll probably order 3 or 4.

Yelp
If you are looking for a place to eat for a big group and good vibes, this is the place! The service is Amazing, they are all super friendly and everything came out very fast. The food was good and the portions were alright, like most Italian restaurant I was expecting big portions, but that was not the case here. Do not order any pastas from the starters menu if you are hungry at all. I will be coming back!

Yelp
Been here a couple of times. The vibe is amazing. It is spots like this that brings life to downtown. It has very wide seating areas, big windows to allow natural light and an overall pleasant atmosphere to have a chat. The lower side behind the bar can echo a bit much but otherwise I've enjoyed the times I've been there. The service is efficient. Food is standard. I think its a kind of place that will guarantee a standard, though not necessarily blow you away. However, the sum of its parts creates a wonderful environment that is desireable.
