The 22 Best Restaurants In Florence - Florence - The Infatuation

"This see-and-be-seen cafe in Sant’Ambrogio is straight out of a Wes Anderson movie, complete with an aloof staff and red velvet interiors. It’s an all-day establishment, but the action always seems to happen in the morning, which is when you should visit. Join the locals who stop by for creamy cappuccinos and custard-stuffed budino before heading to the nearby market to shop. Lunch on the terrace is also a good option, where you can watch the neighborhood action before digging into some turmeric-infused yogurt pudding dip or a creamy plate of cacio and butter pasta." - coral sisk, georgette jupe

Hidden little gem away from all the tourists. Quiet little spot to catch your breath and relax for awhile. We sat outside and it was perfect! The chicken cesar salad was truly exceptional (best we’ve EVER had). The pasta perfectly cooked and was also fantastico! We will definitely be back when we visit Florence again ❤️

My brother insisted this was the must-visit restaurant during my 3 days in Florence — and he was absolutely right. I’ve traveled to Italy several times, but this was by far the best pasta I’ve ever had. It was so good that I came back again just before flying out. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and Frederica, Alfonso, and Julio welcomed me with a smile each time, making the experience even more memorable.

We had such an amazing time at this beautiful restaurant! The service was so warm and friendly, and the staff were so knowledge and passionate about the food. Every single dish we ordered was wonderful. Don’t miss out on this down to earth gem - highly recommend! 😊💛✨

Had a lunch here during our trip to Florence and it was so cute. The caffe is very cozy, historic and tons of locals come eat there too we noticed. We got their famous tagliolini Cacio e Burro pasta that made it to the top NY times best pasta dishes and Cavati all’Elbana (tuna pasta) and both were delicious! The tagliolini pasta texture was amazing and perfectly cooked. The pasta sauce is VERY decadent but delicious nonetheless. The star for us was surprisingly the Cavati all’Elbana - so fresh and tasty. Service was amazing, they have high chairs but it is very tight at this location. They gave our toddler a book and loved him! Highly recommend this place, especially for lunch or even a quick pastry!

The pasta here is so good I literally ate it twice in one day. We had the famous tagliolini cacio e burro (NYT wasn’t lying—best pasta in Italy), the bassiate alla pomarola (tomato sauce), and my friend had the liver special with crispy fried sage— they said it was unreal. My partner had the steak filet for dinner and loved it. We hadn’t planned on going back, but when our other dinner plans fell through we thought, “why not?” Zero regrets. I even flew my leftover pasta back to SF, reheated it with olive oil, and it still tasted like Italy. Will definitely be back next time in Firenze!

Our last night in Florence, we made a quick detour to Cibreo, we had a seat on the outside terrace, service was friendly & accommodating, smiley and caring. We spoke with Christina the manager and she had wonderful stories to tell. We ate pasta & tartare Hache, pastas were simple ingredients cooked impeccably well, we thoroughly enjoyed them all. Our best pasta in Italy so far. We will be back for sure! Thank you for a beautiful evening

My first and last meals in Florence were at Cibrèo Caffè - one planned, one not - and I can’t think of a much better way to bookend my time in the city. CC is a relaxed environment for elevated takes true to the roots of its region, but also just a really warm, welcoming, and classy environment. Terrific staff hustle in formalwear, but also take the time to share stories and opinions, make suggestions, earnestly ensure that everyone is satisfied. The food speaks for itself. Most notable is the taglioni cacio e burro, a dish that simply should not be shared. The best way I can describe it is to say that it is the most refined, perfect, and luxurious distillation of Easy Mac one could possibly create. (Trust me on this, Americans - you’ll see what I mean!) I also appreciate a place that does not treat tourists differently, and CC certainly qualifies. It is the cornerstone of a humble Cibrèo culinary empire richly deserving of its stature.

Atmosphere is very cute, and food pretty solid. However, the service is just abysmal. We had a 1pm lunch reservation. Got there a few minutes after 1. Stood in a queue. After 5 minutes of no one helping us a passing waiter said “oh do you need seated?”. Gave our names. It’s now 10 minutes after our reservation. Nothing too surprising, this is Italy, tables aren’t as ready as quickly in America. Finally got seated around 1:15pm. It’s a cute outdoor patio. We are brought water and immediately forgotten. Around 1:35pm we still haven't been brought menus. I get up and get us menus, even though we already knew what we wanted from our phones. Still no one has helped us. At 1:40pm I venture inside to ask someone to take our order - maybe we are supposed to order inside? A waitress says she will come to us, and does come a minute later. Takes our orders. Over 35 minutes later she comes to us and apologizes that the drinks we ordered are not available. Not sure why it is takes 35 minutes to learn this. It also takes about 40 minutes from when we order to get our entrees. During the course of this meal, a fly flew into our butter, our wine, and our waters. The wine I thought would be complimentary since they messed up our drinks, but it wasn’t. Overall, good food, but service is so awful I’m confused how Cibreo has six places that are all so hyped up. It was my partners’ favorite tasting meal in Florence, but also the last restaurant they would recommend.
