"You’ll instantly feel welcome at Ciena, a casual all-day restaurant where the staff make you feel like they’re your real friends, and not just someone you’ll ask food-related questions to for the next few hours. The international-leaning menu includes comfort classics like cheesy arancini and spectacularly fresh aguachile de camaron. If you’re not in the mood for a long lunch, act like one of the regulars and enjoy a glass of wine at the bar." - guillaume guevara

Excellent, very classy restaurant with delicious food. The setting is lovely, with a long marble bar & open kitchen. Warm but unobtrusive hosts. We had a great orange wine at a reasonable price. The ribeye was amazing. Perfectly cooked & in a light but delicious sauce. And the gnocchi were excellent as well. Highly recommended!

Wow, where do I start! This was truly something really special. From the atmosphere with the open kitchen, the close observation and interaction with the talented chefs, the great recommendations by the staff (especially Marco), to the freshness and flavours of the outstanding food. The braised short rib pasta was just sensational. The fried chicken with the zesty cucumber & fig salad hit all the flavour profiles. And to top it all off, the cherry on top (no pun intended) the cheesecake was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Im just sad that I’m leaving CDMX tomorrow otherwise I would 100% be there again tomorrow, and the day after. 10/10, highly recommend!

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS RESTAURANT. We stayed at an AirBnb a block away from this restaurant and made this a regular pit stop on our trip in CDMX. Amazing fried chicken, fish, and dessert as well. Everything is prepped with love - by the way make sure you get the toast w bacon on top.

Amaaazing! We had the lamb, the pear and fig and goat cheese salad and chorizo, calamari risotto and the tiramisu with an excellent Italian red wine. . All excellent. The service was attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommend this place.

A lovely restaurant with an interesting array of food options. The restaurant itself is beautiful and a great place to spend time. Since I was on a work lunch, we had a bit of a hiccup with our table as other people were sitting where we were supposed to, even though we had made a reservation beforehand. Aside from that, the service was excellent and rather fast, which I appreciated. I ordered the pasta fresca, and although it was decent, I felt the portion size was a bit small and overpriced. I was left feeling hungry after my meal. Overall, I felt Ciena was a great experience, mostly for the aesthetics of the restaurant. While my meal was decent, it was a bit too overpriced for the small portions I received.

This restaurant presents a versatile menu suitable for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, boasting a delightful blend of Mediterranean and Californian flavors. They pride themselves on using fresh, crunchy ingredients and seasonal produce. For an unforgettable experience, start by sharing a variety of appetizers to sample a bit of everything: indulge in the sea bass ceviche tostada, savor the aguachile with green tiger's milk, and enjoy the roasted shishito peppers. The spinach salad is exceptionally fresh and crisp. For your main course, the white fish, eggplant Milanese, and roast beef sandwich are must-tries. Their drink menu features outstanding mocktails and cocktails, each bursting with unique flavors. For dessert, treat yourself to the decadent chocolate tart, the creamy cheesecake, or the flan served with ice cream. The estimated cost per person is around 700 MXN. The service is exceptional, with a friendly and cheerful staff that ensures a wonderful dining experience.

My favorite restaurant in CDMX! I have been here probably 10 times at least and will continue to go back because of the amazing delicious food and the great vibe. Their space is calm and beautiful. I love to sit and have breakfast on their terrace. You have to try their sweet pastries, chilaquiles with short rib, breakfast sandwich, short rib pasta, fried chicken sandwich, and their chocolate dessert.
