Classic cookie shop offering big, old-fashioned treats such as chocolate chip, Nutella, and red velvet, with vegan options.
"Little River’s Cindy Lou’s is our favorite place to go when we want to stock up on desserts like the government is about to ban sugar. They make cookies, brownies, and—the reason they’re on this guide—an outstanding key lime pie. Here’s the thing: it’s a special, not a regular menu item. So call them before you come and they’ll tell you if they have it (or when they’ll be making it next). It’s worth the effort. Cindy Lou’s version has a nice tartness to it, a layer of torched meringue, and one of our favorite graham cracker crusts of any pie on this guide. It has just enough butter holding it together so it’s crunchy but won’t chip a tooth. Also, if you get it while it’s fresh, you can experience the rare joy that is biting into a warm key pie." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino
"If you are in dire need of dessert—and a lot of it—go to Cindy Lou's Cookies. The dessert shop is known for its huge and wonderful cookies and we like them a lot, especially the one with Snickers and potato chips. But some of the best things here aren't cookies. The rotating selection of pies are excellent and the fudgy brownie has a crunchy top layer of Rice Krispies. There are a couple seats in the small storefront, but this is mostly a takeout operation—which is good because whatever you order here will make you produce noises no stranger should hear." - ryan pfeffer

"Though the word cookies is in this bakery’s name, Cindy Lou is baking up much more than cookies in her cozy Little River shop. The menu changes often, but some favorites to watch for include banana bread, oversized slices of coconut cake, raspberry almond crunch cake, almond horns, brownies, and more." - Olee Fowler, Amber Love Bond
"Don’t be fooled by the name— while Cindy Kruse’s claim to fame is her wide range of decadent cookies, she makes a mean key lime pie served with a torched meringue top." - Alona Martinez
