Baltimore’s 38 Essential Restaurants

"Expansive harbor views surround the opulent dining room at this upscale fish house on the ground floor of the Canopy by Hilton hotel in the new Harbor Point waterfront neighborhood. Its James Beard Award multi-nominated chef, Cindy Wolf, serves hits from the South like a fried green tomato stack and a lobster po’boy on a sweet potato roll. Meanwhile, Wolf’s nearby Lowcountry stalwart Charleston is still a splurge-worthy destination for rich lobster bisque and tasting menus starting at $89." - Jess Mayhugh, J.B. Hollander

We stayed at the Canopy by Hilton and planned to dine at Cindy Lou’s Fish House on Saturday, July 26 at 8:45 PM for my son’s birthday. The manager, Virginia, told us they were fully booked. I accepted it and planned to order room service — until I saw a walk-in couple seated with no reservation just moments later. When I questioned it, she claimed they had a reservation, which didn’t seem accurate based on what I observed. It left us feeling incredibly disappointed. My husband suspected we were turned away because we had a toddler — or possibly because we are an interracial family. Regardless, we felt unwelcome and unfairly treated. We expected a more inclusive and respectful experience from a restaurant of this caliber.

Host was very pleasant and seated us outside with a lovely view of the harbor. Waitress was great, our food was out quickly and it was delicious. Please update your online menu. We did pick Cindy Lou's for a specific item which is no longer available. Staff told us online menu has not been updated for a while

Today, I decided to try Cindy Lou’s Fish House on the waterfront in Baltimore. It had very cool vibes, and the music was on point. My go-to spot is always the bar. The bartender was very attentive and helpful. For starters, I had a Pineapple Sun Down. I had a Caesar salad for my appetizer, and for my entree, I had the ribeye, which came with fries and asparagus. I did order some cornbread, and it was delicious. Last, I had the cheesecake, which comes in a small dessert glass. I do recommend this restaurant but I must say I was expecting more variety of fish, so that is why I ordered the steak.

I had the Lobster and gnocchi. It was full of lobster, unfortunately not the good parts. There were 3 bite sz pieces of lobster, and the rest were the flat tail end pieces with the not so tasty mush in it. That was a turn-off. I don't want to pay market price for the uneatable parts of the lobster nobody eats. The fried green tomatoes were fried perfectly. I would get the pimento ricotta and pepper jelly on the side. It made the fried batter kind of soggy. But if you like that enjoy. The crab balls were absolutely delicious. I'm not a fan of sauces, but the sauce paired with it and a little drizzle of lemon..Amazing!! We ordered 2 more. The staff was 10 out of 10!!! The atmosphere was contemporary. The fireplace made it cozy, and looking out to the water made it very relaxing. P.s. the menu changes. But I was down to try something new. Unfortunately, the desert I was going to get wasn't on their new desert menu 😕 guess I didn't need it 🤭

The Domino Sugars sign glowed scarlet through floor-to-ceiling windows as two women in conversation leaned into the copper-topped bar, martini glasses catching the harbor lights. This is the Baltimore that Cindy Lou's Fish House sells: a waterfront reverie where Southern comfort meets Chesapeake sophistication, all framed by industrial-chic concrete and constellation of Edison bulbs. When Tony Foreman and Chef Cindy Wolf opened this ambitious venture in October 2020, they weren't just filling a space in the Canopy by Hilton Baltimore Harbor Point. They were attempting something more intimate: recreating the feeling of dining at a friend's waterfront apartment — assuming that friend descended from accomplished Southern cooks and possessed an encyclopedic wine knowledge. The whimsical name, borrowed from Dr. Seuss's Cindy Lou Who, hints at the restaurant's playful confidence. But make no mistake: beneath the charm lies serious culinary ambition. Wolf, whose Richmond roots and Charleston training inform every dish, has created a menu that reads like a love letter to Mid-Atlantic waters and Southern traditions. Consider the Steak Oscar ($62), a dish that could easily tumble into excess but instead achieves perfect balance. The beef arrives with a mahogany crust, crowned with sweet crabmeat that actually tastes of the Chesapeake. Beneath, a cloud of mashed potatoes anchors the plate while grilled asparagus adds necessary restraint. Even the $14 Spring salad transcends its category, mixed greens elevated by quality cheese and a vinaigrette that whispers rather than shouts. The space, designed by BraytonHughes Design Studios, succeeds in its mission of refined relaxation. That copper bar serves as both visual anchor and social fulcrum, while private dining rooms accommodate everything from intimate business dinners to 130-person weddings. The wraparound patio transforms the experience in warmer months, though the harbor views remain magnetic year-round. Yet for all its polish, Cindy Lou's occasionally stumbles. Service, while generally professional, can veer into the peculiar. One server insisted on reciting the entire menu despite protests, while another performed impromptu magic tricks tableside. Wait times stretch even with reservations, and the cocktail program feels abbreviated compared to the extensive wine list curated by Foreman. The Southern influence emerges most clearly in dishes like the Maryland crab fritters (order early; they sell out) and cast-iron crab cake that locals champion. The Banana Pudding Ice Box Cake has achieved cult status, with savvy diners ordering it preemptively. But portions can be inconsistent, particularly with the seafood chowder that arrives sometimes generous, sometimes sparse. Breakfast and brunch reveal the kitchen's range, from hotel-guest basics to a tongue-in-cheek "Hangover Helper" section. The "In Between Bites Menu" serves off-peak diners, while dinner can easily exceed $80 per person — special-occasion pricing that mostly delivers special-occasion satisfaction. What elevates Cindy Lou's beyond typical hotel restaurant status is its commitment to place. This isn't generic "coastal cuisine" but rather a specific interpretation of Chesapeake-meets-South, filtered through Wolf's considerable technique and Foreman's hospitality acumen. The restaurant captures something essential about contemporary Baltimore: a city comfortable with both its industrial past and its polished present, where a former warehouse district can house both working docks and destination dining. Despite periodic service quirks and tourist-trap potential, Cindy Lou's succeeds in its core mission. It's become what its owners envisioned: a neighborhood gathering spot that happens to serve exceptional food with million-dollar views. Like that friend with the great waterfront apartment, it's a place you're always happy to visit, even if you can't afford to drop by every week. This restaurant was a wonderful experience. The food was very tasting. You should really try the pork chop with grits and spinach. The views are great. The staff is amazing. They make sure you’re never in need of anything. Any need you may have while dining is already anticipated Cindy Lou’s It’s a great dining experience

Google
Appears to the be the "house" restaurant associated with Canopy by Hilton, located right on the water, on the lovely promenade. Amazing view of the water, right across the harbor from Domino. We stopped in for an anniversary lunch and had a lovely experience with staff, food, and ambiance. Cindy Lou's had previously graciously donated to our kids' local neighborhood public school fundraiser, so we'd been meaning to go there for quite some time. After a lovely experience, we're not only glad we'd finally made the time but definitely looking forward to coming back again soon with friends!

Yelp
There are not too many place have a decent meal outside on the water along the Baltimore promenade that wraps around the harbor and into Canton. This place is basically in the lobby of a boutique hotel by Hilton, which is quirky but I'm not mad at it. Chef Cindy Wolf's kitchen delivered interesting and fresh perspective on traditional local Baltimore favorites. We had a family group of grands and grads outside for lunch on an otherwise slow Friday. Weather was amazing, the terrace was covered and perfect for our group. Service was attentive and elegant like we would expect at a Wolf/Foreman restaurant. Construction was an unfortunate temporary situation, we will be back when it is completed. Neighborhood is shaping up nicely, and this will become one of Baltimore's hidden gems.

Yelp
I was intrigued by this restaurant due to the mixed reviews but really enjoyed myself and the food when I went! I went for a business dinner and I think it's a great place for one with lots of space and the restaurant wasn't too loud. The service was absolutely wonderful and our server helped guide us to some delicious shareable. We got the grilled and fried oysters and I would Hihi I recommend both! The grilled oysters were flavorful and the fried ones had the perfect thin batter. My sangria cocktail was perfectly light and fruity but not too sweet. I also really enjoyed the cornbread but could see some people thinking it was a bit dry. I got the salmon and it was perfectly flaky and filling!

Yelp
Late lunch on a weekday. Perfect view, excellent food and service by Ingrid. Fried green tomatoes, Cobb salad, lobster Po Boy, grilled cheese sandwich and Crab soup all excellent.

Yelp
On a Saturday afternoon as part of a party of five who opted to sit outside, I had an almost perfect dining experience. First I want to give kudos to our waitress Termara she has an exceptional tableside manner! We all enjoyed our food and drink. I didn't care for the kaleslaw and without hesitation they took it back and did not charge me for it.

Yelp
Oh No Cindy Lou! Yesterday, I'm reading the Eater Essential list and see Cindy Lou's Fish House. James Beard Award nominated Chef Cindy Lou turning out tasty southern treats AND walking distance from my hotel? Slam dunk for me. I walk into a hotel lobby and see the space to the right. A beautiful fire is roaring and the commanding view from every table. No need to sit at a table, I'm by myself so the bar will do fine. And what a bar! Lots of high end spirits, the person running this knows what they're doing. What brought me here was the southern spin. If a James Beard Chef put her spin on a classic dish? I'm down to clown. I sit at the bar and order a beer on tap. A cheerful bartender takes my simple order of Fried Green Tomato stack and the lobster Po Boy. Fried Green Tomato Stack This was a very good starter. If you love FGT as much as I do, you'll be pleased with this dish. My only issue? The tomato stack was built on the plate and the plate sat. The tomatoes didn't have that fresh out of the fryer snap. Lobster Po Boy I was in New Orleans over a year ago and still think about my last Po Boy. What I had last night didn't satisfy any Po Boy cravings. First, why are their micro greens on everything? I had them topping the tomato stack, now they're jammed in the sandwich? And the lobster?? You have a bay FILLED with blue claw crab! My sandwich had four small pieces of fried lobster with, what is that taste, curry? The bread was off, the dressing was off and Cindy? Can you spare some more lobster? I should have ordered the crab cake.. Chef Cindy, I've been to the other restaurant Charleston and had the amazing fried oysters. Lose the lobster and slid those Oyster into that Po Boy? Trust me, you'd get that James Beard Award!

Yelp
This place will always be bumping because the views and ambiance is spectacular. It's right in harbor point on the water and it's the Hilton Canopy's restaurant. This was my third time and the adage doesn't stay true - third time wasn't the charm here. I came here in 2020 when the first opened and while the meal was a 7.5 out of 10, their old fashioned stayed with me. It has chocolate bitters that makes it taste like it's a mole. This time, our waitress was lovely; she brought us the bread service when we asked (this used to be standard but as the namesake owners Foreman Wolf group stepped away) this place has really changed. I will also say it's hard to tell where the hostess stand is because the front desk is right when you walk in. It's to the right when you walk in. The food sadly, tastes worse than cafeteria food. But nkr for $30+ an entree. Thank goodness we only got appetizers. The Mac and cheese was watery, the best part was the crispy lobster fritter on top. The beet salad was lovely as it tasted like a Cobb salad, unique but something I could make at home.

Yelp
I had dinner at Cindy Lou's in a Friday night and the vibes were great! The views from the restaurant are spectacular with floor to ceiling glass windows looking out into the harbor. There is cozy seating inside with some tables featuring couch seating and a central fireplace. Overall, immaculate vibes. The cocktail menu and wine list are also great -- I highly recommend the berry hibiscus margarita! Unfortunately, the food was subpar. My group shared a few appetizers: beet salad, brussel sprouts, lobster Mac and cheese, and fried green tomatoes. We loved the beet salad which was a unique blend of flavors and textures. The other three items were sadly quite salty. Perhaps this was an off night though -- we didn't get any entrees and the seafood dishes did seem appetizing, but I can't comment on those. Service was great! We were well tended to and had a great time overall. I debated how many stars to leave and I think the vibes, views, and drinks definitely make this a 4!

Yelp
Parking was horrible!!! Lovely overlooking the harbor Food good server was excellent! Very clean and inviting atmosphere

Yelp
I was very skeptical about this restaurant after having a rough start with the appetizers. I had to send my fried oysters back and felt like the fried tomato appetizer was bland. I worried that the entrees would be no better, but the moment I bit into my voluptuous crab cake, the day was saved. My eyes lit up and my mouth danced as I sank into my seat. The kale slaw and hand cut fries which accompanied the crab cake were equally delicious. My companion ordered the spinach salad... again, delectable... Unfortunately, they only had two dessert options which neither sounded appetizing... a peanut butter chocolate bar concept and a tart...please add some other options. The venue is modern, chic, intimate, and cozy. They have a cute fireplace. It's located on the floor level of the Canopy Hotel and faces the water. The service was exceptional. The prices (for lunch) averaged $18-35. They have an attached parking garage with mobile pay options. I will be going back for another crab cake and to explore the rest of the menu and suggest that you do, too!

Yelp
This review is a bit late in the making, but I see that my Google review got buried. A less than glowing review should still be seen. I went for a thanksgiving lunch. I was just very underwhelmed. I felt overly disappointed for what I paid. First the Moroccan lamb and southern collard greens with a cornbread dressing is what I chose. The lamb was was terribly over cooked and I can not have found Morocco anywhere in there. The stuffing was nice but an afterthought. I don't consider the tiny cranberry gremolata does justice to this. They did bring me another lamb slice but the flavors were just not there.

Yelp
I've been here a handful of times now and recently came back for lunch. The restaurant is located inside the boutique Canopy hotel. It's a beautiful and modern indoor space with a good sized outdoor patio with lovely views of the water. It was a nice day out so we asked to sit outside. Since we had checked out the menu in advance, we were ready to order when our server came. I got their Maple Glazed Salmon as my main dish and he chose their Smoked Salmon sandwich with old bay fries. Our entrees came out a few min later. My dish looked as appetizing as it tasted. With the maple syrup, it was definitely on the sweeter side but not overpowering. The Brussels sprouts weren't that flavorful and could have been cooked a bit more in my opinion. Without the maple syrup, they were pretty bland. As previously mentioned, I've been here before and most everything I've gotten has been quite good. It's a solid restaurant with really good service. Also, their water views are quite nice!

Yelp
Visited on a Tuesday evening for Dinner looking for something good to eat in Baltimore. Here are some takeaways: Environment Beautiful open space with floor to ceiling windows with a beautiful view of the harbor that you can't beat. If anything it's worth going just for this. They have dining and bar space if you want dinner or just want to grab a drink. Service Our server was great and attentive and made sure we had what we needed. Even when there were things we weren't happy with she made sure to take care of them and made sure we were satisfied with the outcome. Food did take a while to come out for a not so busy night but it wasn't too bad. Food and Drinks They start off bringing the table cornbread with butter - the cornbread was a bit dry and lacked flavor. I ordered hushpuppies for the table that were a tad bit better, had more flavor and were not too bad. I also ordered a side of mac and cheese. Now this was an experience - this isn't your regular mac and cheese. There was a unique taste to it and spice to it that for me, felt off. It wasn't bad but it wasn't what i expected at all and not what you would expect from mac and cheese - so be careful. lol For the main dish I had the fish and chips. The fish was fried well but lacked a little bit of flavor. It was still good enough to finish and be satisfied with the meal. My friends had the crab cake and they thought it was just okay. Nothing to brag about. The stand outs were the drinks. They were pretty good, strong and tasty. Overall Overall the experience was a bit underwhelming. I had high expectation for a Baltimore restaurant on the harbor and those expectations weren't quite met. Some of the food was fine, the drinks were good and the view was amazing. I would probably come back to hang out at the bar for a good drink and good view. I also heard that the breakfast and lunch options were good - i believe the chicken sandwich so I maybe would come back to try that.

Yelp
Ive been here just for dinner and for brunch and have not been disappointed! Service wise staff has always been so warm and welcoming, checking on our table regularly and making sure we are taken care of and always making such good menu suggestions. Food wise with dinner the biscuits are amazing and the chicken was fried really well. But I am starting to see where they shine is brunch! I went for an event and it was a brunch buffet and while I normally hate a buffet I like how this one was set up and how many options they had. The chicken tenders was delicious and the jam they had for the biscuits can stand on its own. Location wise it has great views of the water and lends itself to great photos inside and outside. Its attached to the hotel so the lobby area has great seating and areas for pictures and is open and bright with all the windows. I have yet to sit out on the patio but see people enjoying it all the time when im out for my walks during warm weather.

Yelp
~ Visited Cindy Lou's for an early lunch & honestly didn't expect much. I usually stop in for drinks because I love being on the water. The lunch menu isn't truly impressive to me, but my mate & I decided to grab something just because. I order a bottle of red wine to begin with cause it's only fitting. Then we ordered the fried Brussels sprouts and cornmeal fried oysters. The Brussels spouts were average. We didn't even wanna finish the bowl. They were just dry with minimum flavor. The cornmeal-fried oysters are the worse & pointless. The worse dish we've ever ordered at any restaurant. They were just small crispy pieces of crust. Kinda like the residue chunks left in the pan after you fry fish. Horrible. The service was wonderful tho. The scenery was terrific, of course. I'll def come back to try the dinner menu. I hope you enjoy. ~ #TeamDiesel4Evaaaa

Yelp
The service is very very slow. We had to wait for an hour to get our order. Also, their seafood is poorly kept and absolutely not fresh. All shellfish tasted stale and the worst is their backfin crab puff, the crab meat they use is so bad that I can smell strong ammonia even after deep fry. Never would we visit this place again. Will not recommend this place for anyone.

Yelp
Man. What a disappointment this place was. Eater had it on their list of 38 "Essential" restaurants in Baltimore (I pore over their lists regularly, so didn't hesitate to hit up Cindy Lou's on their recommendation). The space is nice. Open, airy, lots of glass. Breathtaking view of the harbor. And that's the best I can say about it. We were early for our reservation, so decided to wait at the bar for our friends (there was an O's game letting out and traffic by the stadium was ridiculous). ANYWAY, the bartender tossed (quite literally TOSSED) menus at us and walked away without a word. She came back about 10 minutes later with water. I said "thank you so much!" and she just turned and walked away. About 10 minutes after that (and there were MAYBE 5 other people at the bar) she returned, asking if we wanted drinks. Um, yes. My BF ordered his, then she left to make it. After she gave him his drink, she turned to walk away, and I said," Excuse me!" and she said, "Oh, did you want something, too?" I cannot remember the last time I had such a substandard bartending experience. Like, it was BAD. But whatever. The rest of our party arrived and we were seated at our table. Appetizers were good. The fried green tomato stack was quite good. The Virginia ham and biscuits were good. The crab and corn chowder was bland and tasteless. The crab cakes (6 of our 7 ordered them) were mediocre, at best. If you're making crab cakes in Baltimore, you'd best make them right. I was the one holdout and got catfish. And it was... fine? I asked for some malt vinegar for it and the fries that came with it, but it took like 25 minutes for it to get to the table. At the end of the day, with wine and drinks and apps and dinner for 7 of us, it cost close to $1000. And it was such a let down. Won't be back. Nice view though.

Yelp
I've been hearing about this place since it opened up and with Baltimore Restaurant Week happening I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I went during restaurant week. The ambiance and vibe of the restaurant is modern and laid back. It's a good place for a date night or group gathering. Ok let's get to the important stuff, the food. It was ok at best. Usually I'll have one dish that was my favorite, but not this time. I ordered the fried shrimp (it was hard and I'm it a fan of the cornmeal they used as the batter), baked potato soup (the one from Jason's Deli is much better IMO), catfish as my entree (meh), mac and cheese as a side (it was soupy and reminded me of Kraft mac and cheese), and for dessert the elephant ears (a few pieces of fried dough). Will I be back...probably not. However I did hear that the Charleston is a sister restaurant and that it's good so maybe I'll give them a try.

Yelp
Cindy Lou Who? Sorry, I had to. Anyway, I visited Cindy Lou's Fish House at the end of March for an early birthday celebration. I made reservations for 4 people. Of course, with most places, most of the party had to be there to be seated. Luckily, everyone arrived at a decent time and we were seated immediately. For drinks, I got the Potomac Moonlight and I started off with the crab and avocado toast. For my meal, I got the salmon as well as a side of mac and cheese. My friend tipped the staff off to it being my birthday and they brought me a chocolate peanut butter bar. Everything was tasty. The only negative was that the dessert was hard, somewhat frozen. Therefore, it was difficult to eat. The restaurant is near the water and the large windows make for nice views. I enjoyed myself that evening and it made the start of my birthday week special.

Yelp
We ate at the bar and had one of the best experiences. Our server was amazing and the dessert was just as good! It was pretty calm and quiet the night we went which was perfect.

Yelp
I've visited Cindy Lou's Fish House (inside of The Canopy Hotel) twice. Most recently, for brunch on a Saturday morning a couple of weeks back. I've only experienced dining during brunch. I had a pleasant experience both times. Pros The restaurant's view of Harbor East is wonderful. The ambiance is great. The brunch menu is enjoyable. Perhaps not overwhelming, but enjoyable. I had the shrimp and grits and one of their signature cocktails. The bar is a highlight. It's a focal point for this spot. The staff has been friendly during both my visits. Cons I'd say that the offerings/menu are a bit pricey. The price point doesn't match the level of deliciousness you'd expect. Not bad, but you won't leave reminiscing about the food necessarily. Other Notes: Street parking is limited. There is garage parking available. There is construction (December 2023) nearby that may be a bit distracting. Overall, my experience was enjoyable dining with friends and family.

Yelp
OUTSTANDING if you can find it (inside a Canopy Hotel). Amazing view, fantastic food and view. Service was solid + they have a great Happy Hour. Dinner Menu is a somewhat pricey but there are some options for every budget, highly recommend

Yelp
Love everything about this place. Food is great but the menu is limited. Ambiance is killer. Staff are generally good. Bar area can get cramped but nice. Water views abound. Fireplace is nice.

Yelp
Had breakfast twice during our stay in Baltimore at Cindy Lou's. Servers were great, food was delicious, and it was an overall great place to eat. I would definitely come back.
google avatar

Grace P.

Yelp
this place was so-so. The ambiance was peaceful and offered a beautiful view on the bay. Unfortunately, the food and service were a miss. I tried the crab omelette and though the salad was great, the omelet had a lump of cold crab meat on top of a plain, cheese omelet with chunks of salt in it. My cold brew had a lemony taste and was delicious but was an odd presentation (presented like an old fashioned). It is not a typical cold brew. The restaurant also offers smaller and bigger portions, and the waiter kept suggesting we get more food due to the portions being small.

Jen F.

Yelp
Drinks are good. One of the bartenders was great one was very condescending and snippy. Oysters are terrible as well as the biscuit. Probably would stop for drinks and skip food.

Yelp
This restaurant was located right down the road from where we were staying so we decided to check it out. It's inside of a hotel next to the water with valet and nearby garage parking available. When you go into the hotel the restaurant is directly to your right. Beautifully set up with a nice bar and plenty of comfy seating. There's a large fireplace that added to the elegance of this place. Definitely date night or special occasion worthy! I did notice that the menu didn't seem to have some of the items we saw online, but we asked for recommendations and made our selections hoping for the best. They didn't have a kids menu, so we opted for the plain mac and Cheese side item and a side of fruit. He did not like the gouda at all, so we ended up replacing it with the burger and fries. It was delicious! Yes, I tried it too! Wait..I'm getting ahead of myself. Let me list things out cause I know yall have things to do. Edward's of Surry VA Ham - it was very good. Grilled Pork Tenderloin (medium) it was very good, but I wasn't sure about the sauce Pan Roasted Wild Atlantic Salmon- Very Good! A Nice Pear drink - I really like it as well Seasonal Tart - It wasn't my favorite. Just ok for me. Service was great! The young ladies were super helpful and very attentive. I would definitely like to try other things on the menu if I'm in the area again

Yelp
So, although I've been noticing Cindy Lou's on Yelp, I was always on the fence about bookmarking-so I never did. Nonetheless, we stumbled upon Cindy Lou's while walking through Harbor East on a Saturday afternoon. From the outside it looked beautiful so we ventured into the establishment to view the menu. SO glad we made that decision. As we entered we smelled pancakes and maple syrup, so we knew the offered brunch. There wasn't a wait, but we opted to sit at the bar to enjoy the impeccable Harbor East view-with floor to ceiling windows. As we took our seats at the bar Ian offered us Mimosas. After viewing the menu and soliciting the advice of our bartender (Lobster Po'Boy and Rockfish bites). We decided to order the Wild Rockfish Bites, Fish House Breakfast, and Chicken Fried Steak. The Rockfish Bites were delicious and came with hush puppies. The hush puppies were dry and could've used some honey butter to round them out. The Fish House Breakfast is ultimately shrimp and grits. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and Beurre Blanc was tasty. The grits on the other hand could've been a tad bit creamer and could use more seasoning, but adding salt and pepper made a world of difference to the grits. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her Chicken Fried Steak and ate everything on the plate. Cindy Lou's is perfect for date night, brunch with friends, or a solo lunch. It's located inside the Canopy Hotel. The establishment is spotless, the bathrooms very clean, and the music was a vibe. The entire experience was beyond my expectations and worth every penny. Cheers to a great time!

Yelp
We came in on a Wednesday evening and there was plenty of seating to be found though we just made our way to the bar. The bartenders were friendly (cloyingly friendly according to one of my guests but I guess it's a matter of taste) and made some drink recommendations based on our drink preferences. I wasn't drinking that day but everyone raved about the drinks. I came for the food which, unfortunately, fell short. I had the fried trout which came on a bed of grits. If I carried a man purse I would be sure it was stocked with hot sauce and creole seasoning to save dishes like this one. It looked great but was bland. I also had the brussel sprouts which were so unremarkable I forgot about them as soon as I ate them. The bad: the food is pedestrian The good: great bar staff, wonderful view of the harbor, and beautiful decor Verdict: I would stick to drinks here and grab food elsewhere

Yelp
Only come here for the desert and the view. The food is mediocre at best. We ordered: *Roasted oysters *Crab cake *Seafood Perlau *Pork chop *Salad *Chocolate cake *Chocolate peanut butter Oysters - Drenched in cream but tasty. Crab cake - Very good but topped with a cream sauce which reduced the flavor. Seafood Perlau - cold, salty, and below average Pork Chop - Mediocre to average flavor Salad - average Chocolate cake - outstanding. Chocolate peanut butter bar- good Service was friendly and reasonably attentive. However, the menus were stained and worn.

Yelp
For a hotel restaurant, it might be okay. But our expectations being set by dining at other Foreman Wolfe restaurants, this was a disappointment. Actually not much fish or seafood on the menu. Service was pleasant but rudimentary. Perlau was good, but the espresso was just awful.

Yelp
I'm often pleasantly surprised by restaurants inside Hilton Hotel properties and this one is no exception. Located inside the new Canopy at Harbor Point, it was full the entire time during our visit (a good sign). Doing Dry January, we were impressed the kind bartenders could make a wide range of mocktails. (There isn't a dedicated mocktail menu, but ask them what they can make and they gladly will.) Each mocktail was $8, but the bartenders gave us two for the price of one! They let you take the drinks up to your room! The next morning, we had breakfast at Cindy Lou's Fish House as we watched dog walkers and their dogs pass along the water. We had the biscuits and gravy, migas and our four-year-old had the pastry platter with fruit. Each dish was good! Service was spot on and the space itself is beautiful!

Yelp
We came here for lunch. The restaurant has beautiful views and the food was delicious. I had the crab cobb salad.... Light but filling and delicious.

Yelp
Where has she been all my life? Heard of Cindy Lou's for years but never ate here. It was worth risking Covid! They have valet and paid parking lot directly across the street. The vestibule is gorgeous. Love interior design. There's a fireplace that adds to the serenity of the plush surrounding. The bar looks like it would be nice place to meet up on cold winter night. The seating arrangement is definitely conscientious of public health concerns. For the extremely cautious there is an outdoor patio with fire pit. The hostess was lovely and convivial. Walking to the table my head was on a swivel as I gazed at various entrees. While debating the virtues of biscuits and gravy versus shrimp and grits, I arrived at a diplomatic solution and chose both. The shrimp were gigantic and the grits creamy. Best I've ever tasted. The biscuits and gravy held it down and were hearty and satisfying. Finally the service was exceptional. Post Covid I've noticed a significant decline in service relations. It was nice to go out to eat and be greeted with enthusiasm. Cindy Lou's servers may not move with alacrity but they exude grace. Definitely a new favorite.

Yelp
Great views of the water - but that's about it. Our server was so nice but the food was a major miss! The cornbread they put at the table is tough and rough - dry as heck and the butter was tasteless. How is butter tasteless? I ordered the fried chicken and asked the server what the fried chicken comes with and she said leg, thigh and breast. I asked if I could just have dark meat and said sure which I assumed the plate would still come out with 3 pieces of chicken but it came out with a sad dry ass looking leg and burned thigh. They just omitted the breast all together- WTH! The server said she would get the kitchen to remake the chicken but came back a few minutes later with the same plate- now with a breast on it and said the kitchen refused to remake it cause it will take too long. I told her no thank you and we will just pay for our drinks and my husbands lobster Mac which was meh at best and was more like macaroni soup- it was so so watery.

Yelp
Awful food and service. Over priced too More meat entrees than fish. Crab cakes were cold in the center, fries were over seasoned. Waited was inattentive. The list goes on.

Yelp
I normally don't write reviews! But man oh man! First time here & had my party of 10 got sat quick! The waiter Ingrid only decides to mine and 2 other drinks and disregarded the whole table. She decided to check on her other tables so we had to call her back to get the order of drinks for the rest of MY table. She had a trainee with him and HE WAS AMAZING just by doing the things she didn't do. We brought a cake in and the manager Mary indicated that there is a $5 fee for bringing dessert in and since they're cutting it they're charging $5 a PERSONNNNNN TO EAT THIS DAMN CAKE she was referencing bringing a wine bottle and charging a cork fee which made no sense because you charge 1 bottle for the cork fee NOT how many drinks that 1 bottle POURS?! But here you charge $5 for each slice of CAKE? So what if someone bring 20pc cupcakes? Are you going to charge $5 for every piece of cupcake? Flat rate should be fine but charging for each slice is crazy! We got sat at 1pm still didn't receive our food and currently it's 2:30! Lol never coming back save your money!!! Update! I was the first person who ordered & everyone got their food before me!!! Manager said the food was inputted @2:10pm but we sat at 1pm?! We tipped the trainee! But we didn't want to pay for the gratuity! Ingrid still SWIPED OUR CARD with the grat added because now she's saying her manager is in a meeting and can't take the gratuity out? We just told you we didn't want to pay for gratuity but you still swiped it? Unacceptable. SAVE YOUR MONEY and go elsewhere please.

Yelp
Absolutely loved the food and ambiance. It sits right on the harbor and offers a beautiful backdrop to a delicious meal. The Lobster Po Boy was very interesting but delicious with its curry relish. It really complimented the fried lobster. Its a bit pricey but it's nice for a nice brunch waterside.

Yelp
Everything was amazing, the staff were friendly and answered our questions. The menus is worth coming back for. And you cant beat the view. Wasn't a huge fan of the rock fish but everything else was worth it. The brussel sprouts was a large enough portion it stayed through the whole diner. But the ice cream and the key lime desserts were by far amazing as well. It's a mist try spot.

Yelp
I was there for a CIAA sponsored brunch. It was a buffet brunch. They had great options and a very efficient buffet line. I'm addition they had bottomless mimosas. I much say this is not their normal menu/ options. The service was top tier. To make this and even more of an experience there was a fantastic DJ ( DJ Ty Alexander).

Yelp
Four of us had dinner at Cindy Lou's last night. We all agreed it was a bomb. To start off, there was no central place to check in. After a couple of minutes a woman with a broom and dustpan asked if we wanted to be seated. It was an odd beginning. The place was empty. They didn't need to ask if we had reservations, which we did. We were seated and after about 10 minutes someone brought us the tap water we requested. Each one of us agreed it was undrinkable. It tasted like it had been sitting in a plastic bottle for a long time. We all ordered the crab cakes and they had a lot of filling. Again, we all agreed, they were totally subpar. There was no way we were going to stay for dessert. And, we will never return. It was a huge disappointment.

Yelp
Came to eat on a Tuesday - not busy but slow. Crab cakes were breaded, not on par for Baltimore, but not the worst I've had. Cornbread was dry, hushpuppies better ... I had the smoked apple mezcalrita to drink, amazing!

Yelp
My friend and I stopped by Cindy Lou's Fish House after getting manicures down the street. When I first heard the name, I wrongfully assumed this would be a divey spot on the water. Boy, was I wrong! Located next door to the popular Sandlot and inside the Hilton Hotel lobby, Cindy Lou's Fish House features floor to ceiling windows, a large fireplace, and chic decor. It was a Friday night so it was pretty busy inside and at the bar. Service was a bit slow and the bar seemed to be a bit short staffed (a very common, and understandable, challenge for most restaurants right now). That being said, everyone was super friendly and we especially enjoyed the bartenders who made recommendations for drinks. I ordered a cocktail that had aperol and gin but per the menu's suggestion, the gin could be replaced with bourbon. I'm not a huge gin fan so I opted for the bourbon and really enjoyed the unique flavor profile! We weren't super hungry but wanted something to snack on so we naturally ordered the snack plate. While the snack plate isn't an entirely complicated dish, it took about 30 minutes to come out. The biscuits that came with the snack plate also didn't come out at the same time which we thought was strange. I was a little surprised by the selection on the snack plate since it was almost entirely carbs! I sorta wish there was another snack type option that included a more diverse selection of cheeses, breads, pickles, meats, etc... like a more classic charcuterie board. Overall, we enjoyed our visit - especially the gorgeous views of the harbor. If you're looking for an upscale cocktail hour with a nice view, stop by Cindy Lou's Fish House!

Yelp
The food is not that great. The view is amazing though. The fried oysters still had a raw taste to them. The short rib was not that tender either. The service was really good. I would go there for drinks, but not to eat.

Yelp
Came to Cindy Lou's for restaurant week with a few friends! The space is to the right of the Canopy Harbor Hotel Lobby. It seemed like the bar would be a really fun place to hang out if I were staying at the hotel. The restaurant itself has an awesome view of the harbor and is right on the water. I ordered the chowder, salmon, and peanut butter chocolate dessert. My whole meal was great! I thought the chowder was excellent and the salmon while maybe not a revolutionary dish, was very tasty. The dessert was also awesome and I'm a huge fan of peanut butter and chocolate. I also ordered an espresso martini which was good. I'd love to return and try out their regular menu and brunch menu! I feel like this would be a great spot for a fun brunch.

Yelp
When it first opened, it was a great menu, made with great care. There were so many things I enjoyed and looked forward to having. Then something changed. The food became phoned-in, minimally supplied, entrees bare bones, food on a plate. They lost that loving feeling.

Yelp
They ran out of tequilas, the service was very slow and they had very greasy food, I'm very disappointed in this establishment. I had higher hopes!

Yelp
Love love love. This is the first place that really made me pine for the before covid days where you could sit in a restaurant and have the whole experience. The space is gorgeous right on the water with glass all around so even sitting on the inside you still get that open feeling. I've tasted about everything on this menu and haven't had a bad experience yet and thats food that we carried out. I can't even imagine how even more delicious everything would have been if I had eaten it right out of the kitchen. There isn't really a lot to say I can't call out a specific item to order you can order anything off the menu and you'll have made a great choice. And now that the weather is breaking i can't wait to sit out on their patio
