South End Water Main Break Closes Cinquecento Until August or September - Eater Boston

"On the night of April 14, a water main break flooded Harrison Avenue in Boston’s South End, causing heavy damage to numerous businesses; the area is home to art galleries, boutique clothing stores, and more. Italian restaurant Cinquecento, located at 500 Harrison Ave., suffered an estimated $1 million in damage, with the kitchen, offices, and events space ruined by several feet of water." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Erbaluce’s Charles Draghi Is Now Working at Cinquecento in South End - Eater Boston

"Erbaluce chef and co-owner Charles Draghi is currently spending at least a year running the kitchen at Cinquecento, and while he’s not changing too much on the menu, there are certainly hints of his old ingredients, dishes, and techniques. He’s amping up Cinquecento’s carbonara, for example, with guanciale cured in-house, reminiscent of one of his most memorable Erbaluce dishes, and he plans to add his spaghettoni all’amatriciana to the menu as well." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Cinquecento - Review - South End - Boston - The Infatuation

"If you’ve ever wanted to live in a loft apartment in a converted factory space, but you’re not a 12-year-old who magically transforms into adult Tom Hanks, lands a job at a toy company, and then enters into a (let’s be real here) sexually confusing relationship with Elizabeth Perkins, then head to Cinquecento in the South End. There isn’t a giant trampoline in this former factory space, but there is a really fun Italian restaurant that makes great rigatoni with fennel sausage. It’s especially great in the summer when they open up a giant patio in the courtyard of the building." - Dan Secatore

Such a wonderful and hidden little gem of Boston. You don't need to be in the North End to get some great Italian. Atmosphere and service is wonderful. You can sit inside outside and they have private functions. Staff is highly competent with impeccable service. Great flavors and great options.

This is an average place for brunch. The decor keeps you intrigued and adds to the cozy feel of the place. The brunch menu is kind of limited if you’re like me and don’t eat pork. I had been expecting the prixe fixe menu but it wasn’t available when I visited. The donuts are a great addition to wrapping up the meal. I recommend this place if you have a large party and want to host a private event. They have multiple rooms and a statement staircase.

Went there for fathers day and the place was pretty busy but the service was fast and efficient! They had a pre fixed menu as a a special that had 3 different brunch items & came with juice as well as coffee. The tiramisu French toast and the eggs were made to perfection. Definitely a good place to try. Also the parking lot next to them is where you can find ample parking and can get free parking for 5 hours if you get your ticket validated from the restaurant!

The outdoor patio is great in the warm months. And there is a nice bar. But the dining room can get very loud on a busy night (acoustics aren't so great). The food is pricy, but inline with the upscale restaurants in the area. The food is always good, I love the mushroom soup.

Right next to SoWa district, well designed and have a nice atmosphere. Great place for drinks too. Love the Panna Cotta.

Busy place with a dimmly lit, industrial feel. Service was slow. Took us forever to get our food order in but the food was ready rather quickly. I ordered the Linguine Con Vongole. The plate was unbalanced and overly salted. It really wasn't pleasant. This is my second time giving this place a try as I was impressed with their brunch either. Try the North end!

I have been here for drinks and have gotten one app. But it was good enough to make me one to come back! We got the burrata and the bread that came with it was so yummy so naturally I was sad there were only two pieces. As far as atmosphere goes, the staff is friendly and the restaurant itself is a little on the darker side but it makes sense when you look around at their decorations. They created columns with bottles lined up and those are lighted up, I'm probably doing a terrible job describing it. It's really cool so you'll have to come see it yourself. Overall great experience and it's pretty close to where I work, so this may become a regular sport.

It's a delightful place, with great tapas and a graceful host. Perfect place to meet with friends. Great for small events, intimate and just dangerous enough.

Yelp
I'm shocked at how well everything was working when we went there last night after the restaurant had only been open six days. We're vegetarian; and despite the name, Capri had a ton for us. The environment was festive; they've really enlivened the former Cinquecento space, and we're really hoping it becomes a lasting fixture in the neighborhood. There were a couple of hiccups, absolutely not worth remarking upon; they're expected from a brand-new restaurant. We'll be back again, and soon, even if only to grab a drink at the lovely outdoor bar. Also, neither here nor there, but there was a waving inflatable squid in the window of a nearby apartment. We mentioned it to the people at the table next to us, and they gave us a look suggesting that my wife and I are sharing an intrafamily hallucination. We know what we saw.

Yelp
- : South End's hottest new Italian steakhouse just dropped and I'm ! Capri in SoWa is pure MAGIC! Gorgeous glass walls, cozy fireplace vibes, and that outdoor terrace with fire pits? Chef's kiss for those chilly Boston nights! The food game is STRONG - housemade pastas that'll make your nonna weep, perfectly charred steaks, and next-level tuna tartare. Their craft cocktails at that stunning upper bar? Fire! Pro tip: Snag a patio spot before everyone catches on! This place is about to be BOOKED solid. South End just got its and honey, we are NOT ready! Run, don't walk!

Yelp
What a wonderful restaurant! Besides being one of the most beautiful in Boston, the food and service were all excellent, five stars. We started outside at the beautiful bar, all of the decor was so well put together, and the staff was amazing at making cocktails. We moved to the inside bar for dinner and it was absolutely gorgeous and outstanding service as well. Definitely going to return.
