Listen. This was such a wonderful experience! I visit VA Beach yearly and my cousin told me about this place “Citrus”. After 5 years I’m just checking it out & BOY AM I GLAD I DID! Everyone I encountered in the place was so very pleasant - GENUINELY & the bathroom was CLEAN!!! My waitress, Erin was absolutely fantastic! I am a really picky eater when it comes to breakfast food because I don’t eat eggs unless they’re loaded with stuff but the Shortrib Benedict was calling my name. Here’s the catch, I don’t eat poached eggs! I asked her if I could get it with egg whites, scrambled with tomatoes and American cheese and her answer was OF COURSE! I knew then that I made a great choice . My food was absolutely delicious. The grits were some of the best grits I’ve ever eaten IN LIFE - without anything in them. They also had $3 mimosas AND THEY CAME IN. Tall glass - not a skimpy Champagne flute. I had FOUR! 🤣 The pineapple was my favorite! I leave in a couple days but I’m definitely going back - I may have to go to the other location because this location will be closed - so I praying it’s the same EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE AND DELICIOUS FOOD!!!! I AM NOT being paid to leave this review, I’m just an out of town et that appreciates AMAZING SERVICE & loves delicious food! 😋 If you’re in VA BEACH - do yourself a solid and visit CITRUS on W. Great Neck Rd. Ask for Erin & tell them MeMe sent you! ♥️✨🤞🏾

Adorable little breakfast spot! Smells clean and has a bright and fresh aesthetic when you walk in. Attentive and friendly service from Ms Jasmine. Delicious food HIGHLY recommend the breakfast nachos. It was a work day today so I will definitely be back to try one of the delicious sounding mimosas on the menu. They even have seaonal ones with GLITTER swoon! A little gem of a spot very happy customer

I got the crab cake benedict for breakfast. It was delicious. The service was good. I enjoyed the chill vibe of the restaurant and you know who are the regulars. It was great to feel the sense of the community.

Absolutely love this adorable breakfast spot! Be aware that there are two locations about 10 min from each other and this is the smaller of the two (although still plenty big!) Excellent food options at reasonable prices and all the food was so good. Our server was friendly, personable and attentive, and food presentation was bright and colorful. Six of us ate every bit of food on our plate. Bathrooms were nice and clean, and they allowed us to sit and laugh here for quite some time without feeling rushed. I would definitely visit again when in the state!

I booked Citrus for my Rehearsal Brunch for my May 2025 wedding. Working with the manager was so easy. We had the private room setup and ready when we arrived. The brunch appetizers were a great treat. We included one mimosa bundle which helped us control costs. The service was great, and we always enjoy the food. Definitely recommend for your private event!

I decided to get breakfast here because it was conveniently located right along the bike path. I did appreciate that there was plenty of bike rack space behind the building to tie up the bikes while you dine. Sadly, eating breakfast here left much to be desired. The service was quick and friendly, and there was plenty of seating, both inside and out, but you can find better quality food for better prices elsewhere. While there, we smelled something burning in the back, and then shortly thereafter, our food arrived. My biscuit was served burnt (and possibly stale) and was so tough that most was inedible. My omelette also seemed like it was a day old, as it was dried out and just kept in the warmer until ready to be served (I suspect this because the plate was extremely hot to the touch). The portion sizes are decent, but when half the food is inedible, it doesn’t justify the high prices. I understand accidents happen, but instead of serving stale, dried out, and burnt food, I think any reasonable person would have preferred a simple explanation by the wait staff and a longer wait to receive better quality food. There is a lot of potential with this place, but unfortunately, I don’t think I would return here to dine again.

Google
Server put our food on someone else's table. When they told her it was not their food and handed her the plates back, she walked to a corner of the restaurant and then returned to our table with the same plates. When I asked about it she denied it even though I saw it with my own eyes. Seems like that ought to violate some health ordinance since the other customers touched the plates with our food.

Google
This is one of my top five breakfast spot. The food is AMAZING 🍳❗️Citrus has one of the best breakfast menu in Virginia Beach. Great location on Shore Drive. Minutes away from Chicks Beach and Virginia Beach Oceanfront. I usually order the Cape Henry or The Lynnhaven. This location is very popular and is extremely busy. It is definitely worth the wait. 🏖️I recommend Citrus repeatedly!

Yelp
This is a great little place to enjoy breakfast. We came here on a Tuesday morning and enjoyed $3 mimosas, they were great. All of our food was delicious and service was pretty fast given the amount of people they were serving. We enjoyed a side of their corned beef hash, I like that it was homemade and not out of a can. The short-rib Benedict was delicious and full of flavor. Their breakfast grilled cheese was also very good, I like that it was made with jalapeño and cheddar sourdough bread. The restaurant is comfortable and roomy, they also have outdoor seating options. Food and drink are reasonably priced. Service overall was really good. I would come here again, especially on Tuesdays for the $3 mimosas.

Yelp
The location and parking lot are great. The ambiance is so airy, modern, and welcoming. The team was shorthanded but they did a good job. We had omelets, grits, coffee, and juice. The presentation of the food was non existent. Food on a plate, no attempt to make it look good but it came out quickly. The omelet was okay and the price was fair. I don't get the rave reviews. This is my second time eating here but it was a year between visits. I am here today because my friend likes Citrus so much. I think the colors in the restaurant and the seating are cheerful. It is a great place for a small luncheon with friends. It's just okay and very eye catching. You can definitely eat sonewhere much better for the price.

Yelp
Stopped for brunch:The place is very chic. Plenty of tables and booths. They do have an outdoor area but it was still closed. Very colorful and bright. Daily food and drink specials. They do have a full bar with assorted liquors. The food came out hot and in a very timely manner. Our waitress was great and attentive without being pushy. My only complaints are that my hashbrowns were not fully cooked through and the bathroom is extremely small and awkward. Citrus would be a great place for breakfast and or lunch or just to meet up and have drinks and coffee. I definitely look forward to trying more of the menu! We all had the Burger with bacon and cheese added, The Cape Henry with eggs over medium , The Lynnhaven and The Great Neck Chicken Biscuit. Recommend the sausage links over the patties.

Yelp
Starts with Valet! It's a small parking lot so yes you want to valet or walk over from the hotel. The food was amazing and so was the waitress. We had the chicken & waffles and it was tender with a fantastic batter. The Omelette was cheesy and so good! They mix the ingredients in with the egg and not just "fold it over" with them just laying inside the egg. Everything was fresh and hot! We will come again!!

Yelp
Great food is what stands out for me. We stopped in for breakfast and it was fantastic. We love finding places like this in our travels and this spot did not disappoint. I highly recommend supporting this popular local place.

Yelp
I'm so disappointed that my husband and I had to drive 40 minutes just to season our own food. I had really high hopes for this place, but the service was nice.

Yelp
My family of 7 visited on a Sunday around 11am. We were promptly seat. It was a wait for our initial drinks but after that everything arrived in adequate time. Hot and delicious. The restaurant was nice. It's basic but clean.

Yelp
I'm going to be kind and not go over board. The decor nothing much to write on that. Service was good waitress pleasant. So let's get down to the food... I ordered the seafood omelet over cooked on the eggs, so it was DRY for a $18 omelet it should be perfect. Taters and toas were fine. Get this. I then ordered their pancake. You get 2 ($8) large pancakes, but if you want cinnamon roll style they tac on another $4. Really!! When I received the pancakes it look pretty and all but not worth the extra $4. Very skimpy on the frost and can barely tast the cinnamon. And when you asked for extra frosting it's small half filled frosting for another $2 I'm sorry, but that is ridiculous! . It's just cream cheese , sugar, and cinnamon. I PAID $14 for 2 pancakes and small smidgen of cream cheese frosting. Talk about nickel and dime you! Umm.. Will not be back for a while.

Yelp
Every time I'm in the Virginia Beach area with my spouse this is our go to breakfast/brunch space. He loves the french toast and pancakes here! The food is always amazing. I tend to go for an omelette or meat and egg combination. The waitstaff is always friendly and efficient. I've never had any complaints and we will continue to frequent this restaurant when we are in the Virginia Beach area. Did I also mention they have a variety of mimosas??

Yelp
5+stars and nothing less! This place dazzled us right from the start, this was a weekday lunch visit. Walked in, immediately greeted and seated, drink order taken with no wait. The specials are posted on a bord in multiple spots. The menu was laminated and wiped off between customers, liked that. The menu had lots to offer, we'll detailed and creative. My husband ordered the loaded BLT, it was huge and well stacked with smoked Applewood bacon ( 1/2 lb) yummy, took half of it home. Fresh fruit as a side. I ordered the Oscar bacon burger, med rare, it was one of the best burgers I have ever had, no kidding. Topped with jumbo lump crab meat, provolone on a brioche roll. Side of French fries with s & p and garlic salt. Just great. We will recommend to all, we'll worth the money. Service was excellent.

Yelp
We are so glad we found this place for breakfast while in Virginia Beach. When you pull up, you are greeted by the free valet service, which was such a fun experience having never been anywhere with valet before. My husband went inside and told them we had a dog so they brought us over to the side where they have a patio that is covered. It was so cute to find out that they have a dog menu, so our dog got to eat his breakfast while we had ours. The food was really good, typical breakfast offerings. My husband really loved the cinnamon roll pancakes that he got. I wish I had gotten an iced coffee because they have coffee Ice cubes and someone sitting next to us had one which looked so good. I will definitely plan to come back here, everyone was so friendly, and gave special attention to our pup.

Yelp
Citrus was selected to celebrate because of its atomsophere and great food. Two of us loved it and two had never been before. HOWEVER, our group experience went from excellent to sour. Our table location for 4 people was great. My server - Bri was outstanding because she was pleasant, knowledgable about the menu, and efficient in serving my group of 4. The food was tasty. We had drinks, share-a-bles. However, the assistant manager approach to enforce a policy that we were not aware of created a negative experience. From the photos you can see it was not busy, there were tables available and yet our paying group was asked to leave and we were not really finished. We were not a loud group. We tipped well and were looking to have regular business meetings there as a way to celebrate birthdays and milestones. BUT when you are asked to leave in the middle of your conversation due to a policy you missed reading it is likely not possible! Too bad it would have been a great regular spot.

Yelp
These grits were amazing and not too cheesy. I love that you can get the eggs how you like. The jalapeños and peppers added so much flavor and there was just the right amount of meat mixed in. The staff were so friendly and greeted everyone when they walked in. The service is also very quick, you do not have to wait to be seated and the food comes fast like a true diner. They do have an outdoor patio area that is covered/enclosed that is dog friendly. I would highly recommend this place!

Yelp
If I am ever in the mood for a good steak and eggs without a shadow of a doubt I quickly make my way to Citrus. Preferably the original location on Shore Drive. ( I prefer the service at this location, management & they have valet most weekends) Some of the hardest foods to cook to perfection are eggs and steak. Everyone has a particular way they like them cooked and boy am I particular. I do not eat eggs often nor do I eat red meat regularly, so when I when I say Citrus always hits the nail on the head. It's an understatement. I never derail and always order the same exact meal when I visit citrus. Steak and eggs with cubes potatoes for a small up charge. (Worth it). Eggs scrambled soft and steak cooked medium rare. A sweet potato biscuit , split? Buttered and griddled till toasted and a glass of champagne with a splash of pineapple juice . I have never sent a plate back... perfection every single time. I am in awe of you Citrus crew. The service is excellent and the food is always delicious. I also Recommend trying the corn beef hash made from scratch. Worth trying. Won't disappoint.... Citrus is a great brunch location if you are brave enough to go on the weekend be prepared to wait. They are no secret to the locals. They get busy!

Yelp
I gotta admit... 4 - 4.5 for this place is about dead on. Came here with the family for the Sunday brunch and it was all very pleasant. The servers were very friendly and amiable to work with. It was raining outside and it's almost mandatory to use the valet service to get a parking spot from a reasonable distance. It was a little frustrating as the entire parking lot was valet but it's all good. It was a nice touch for our experience and I guess whatever it takes to not get wet. :) I liked the fact that they had a waiting area that allowed folks to get fresh water and just chill. The menu is quite nice. I have to admit that they had some nice flair and unique items to their menu. The seasonal and fresh offerings were fun. The one thing I genuinely liked the best was the fact that I didn't leave there feeling like I needed to roll/fall back into my car. On one hand the 'need m0ar value' side of me said I wish the portion sizes were bigger but the responsible side of me was saying: "That was good... stay at good." Overall, definitely a place worth visiting. Food Taste: 4 Overall Service: 5 Value of food to cost: 4 Facility: 4 Repeat customer: yes Dog Friendly: no

Yelp
I really do not have much to say. We were with a large party that called days in advance. My husband and I ended up sitting at a makeshift table set. The waitresses weren't very accommodating. But! They park your car for you! The price was not bad but for my experience with staff , we could have done better elsewhere. Perhaps a smaller party works best for them.

Scott K.

Yelp
Excellent food and service was outstanding. Pet friendly and featured a pet menu. Very accommodating to my service dog. Highly recommended Citrus.

Sonia S.

Yelp
The last time we were there, our server was very friendly, very sweet lady, kept the coffee coming, checked on us and offer the daily specials. We haven't been at this location for at least 3 years. The location is showing its age, there was a musty smell around the tables maybe the towels use to clean them we stayed anyway, the food was good as always, we had the basic breakfast.

Claire F.

Yelp
Hello everyone. This is my third time coming to this location, and there has always been SOMETHING wrong. The first and second time, was the service. Especially the second time I came. The waitress was always acting like our table was an inconvenience to her. She also sat us in the sun. Now, this time was something I could not just let go of. If y'all didn't let me sit on hold for 45 minutes I wouldn't be sitting here writing this poor review. I picked up an order at 11:34 this morning, same name as my review. I ordered the she crab soup, which I felt was kind of cold when I picked it up but thought it was just in my head. I got home and opened it, and it was literally refrigerator cold. I got there 11:37, and got home at 11:47. There is absolutely no reason it should've been that cold. I wanted to give notice to the manager that the cooks were sending out cold food, so I called and was put on hold for 45 minutes. I will be going to your other location from here on out.

Yelp
Excellent food Excellent service Highly recommend the vege omelet, eggs Benedict, chicken fried steak

Yelp
The food as always was amazing. Service inside and outside was excellent including the people from VA Valet!

Yelp
This is a great place to eat. My friend and I came here for brunch, and the place was packed! Be aware that sometimes there may be a valet parking service in the early mornings here if it is too busy. But since we came later in the day, we didn't face that problem. My friend ordered a club sandwich and I got a breakfast plate with hash browns, sausage, eggs over easy, and French toast. All of it was pleasantly filling and enjoyable. I would come back here again!
google avatar

Yelp
This was a nice surprise lunch for us as we went to another place recommended to us around the corner and it was an hour wait. We were seated here almost immediately and everyone in our party of six really enjoyed the menu. I didn't take a picture of my lump crab eggs Benedict but it's definitely something to order if you enjoy your Benedicts as they were generous with both the crab and the hollandaise sauce. Adding chocolate chips to the pancakes at my son's request was a nice touch in terms of their customer service. Definitely come here before noon though as the lines became long!

Yelp
I went kayaking with some coworkers (and dolphins!) further along Shore Drive earlier this summer, and after our tour, my guide recommended Citrus as a Virginia Beach classic. He was right: everything about Citrus was a fantastic experience, but the food was truly the standout! Although most items on the menu looked really appetizing to me, I knew I had to have the biscuits and gravy, having grown up in the South and now struggling to find good biscuits in California. The food came out quickly, and I can't tell you how delicious and filling the plate of biscuits and gravy was; I'm drooling just thinking about it now. All for a very reasonable price too. On top of this, my coworker had gotten a sweet potato biscuit and devoured it, so I had to get some as well (yes, even though I literally already ate biscuits and gravy). Definitely worth it: the sweet potato biscuit was so incredible that I ordered some to-go for my parents as well and then tried the other location the next day. Everyone else at my table ordered seafood (think crab benedicts, Oscar Bacon Burger, soft shell crab, etc.) and loved it; one of them even said that out of all the restaurants we ate at this summer, Citrus was the best! In terms of ambience, inside it's nice, clean, and cool (so grateful for this in the hot, humid summer). Service was super friendly and accommodating, even as some of us changed our order as we were deciding. The last thing I'll say is that I appreciate that this location has FREE valet parking; the parking lot looks pretty small from the outside, but with valet, more customers can fit in and enjoy the delicious food at Citrus!

Annalicia A.

Yelp
This was my first time to Virginia Beach and I am so glad I was able to go to Citrus! The food was amazing, big portion sizes, great flavor, freshly made, came out fast and they had an extensive menu. My waiter was really friendly and super accommodating to the many questions we first-timers asked. She also was really on top of all the additions we requested like extra biscuits and substitutions of sides. The building itself was really spacious and surprisingly not loud despite how many people were there! Our party of 6 fit really comfortably without feeling squished in. My top recommendation is the sweet potato biscuit and anything with eggs. Everyone in my group ordered a different style of egg and every one of them came out great! I will definitely be coming back on my next trip!

Yelp
Unpleasant waitress and mediocre food. I loved this place years ago, thought it would be fun with a friend yesterday. It wasn't.

Yelp
NEVER and I mean NEVER buy the fruit bowl or the ORANGE JUICE! A few major inconveniences are the OJ being 6 DOLLARS! A cup of orange juice more like a shot of orange juice. Those fruit bowls more like fruit piece. I counted 8 pieces of fruit in a 4 DOLLAR cup of fruit. outRAGEous!!!

Yelp
Citrus fell short of the "limelight" for Saturday brunch with my wife and sons. We were intrigued by the menu's variety and pleased by how quickly our food was served BUT UNDERWHELMED by our dishes, especially considering cost/value. We were also caught off guard seeing valet parking in a half-full lot; not something you typically see. We were seated immediately. TIP: Mask required for initial entry. Very cool vibe, being an old gas station converted/expanded into a contemporary diner dive adjourned in bright citrus decor (duh). We were pleased with John's service presence despite it taking a while to meet him. As first-timers, he suggested ordering a special; classic up-sell master! Wife got a banana berry drink special and loaded Gouda grits. "Bev was good but not $12 good." She loves grits and she's not a complainer (middle child) but said it was the WORST GRITS DISH she's ever had. Bland, NOT creamy or cheesy as name would imply; I tried and agreed, very bland and no hint of Gouda. She doused it with salt and asked John for butter but couldn't stomach finishing the mediocre meal. I went with the Southern pork breakfast melt special. It wasn't terrible as pork was tender and egg was cooked nicely; for some reason, description caused me to expect a skillet vs sandwhich. Def thought the grilled jalapeño cornbread would be more dense, not toast. I was still hungry because it wasn't served with any sides. Oldest son got Chicken waffle sandwich; large piece of chicken tucked between quarter pieces of Belgian waffle; the only side item was pecan glaze, which he enjoyed, yet he also left the restaurant hungry. Youngest got the Cape Henry with 2 scrambled eggs (+$ for cheese), 2 sausage links, 2 toast halves, and hash browns. Of all the meals, his offered the best quality and value for cost. I don't know. Maybe it was an off day given the number of other positive reviews and COVID induced process changes. Maybe we ordered the wrong things. We'll likely need to do more menu research on rave dishes ahead of any possible return. Until then, Bay Local remains our "main squeeze" for brunch in that part of town.

Yelp
Such a good brunch spot & I'm glad I was able to visit this location for my first time. A little confusion making sure we all showed up to the right one, so make sure the address is given as well, haha. Parking is pretty tight so they do have valet. Not as big as I expected, but it was nice to see some outside seating under a tent + some chairs while we waited. Once seated, service was prompt & the waiter made sure we were taken care of. I ordered the turkey avocado croissant and it was overflowing with deliciousness. Put some mayo on it & it took it to a whole nother level for me!i think he even brought out the entire mayo bottle so I wouldn't have to be anymore needy. "Would you like a to go box as well?" Absolutely not because I knew I was going to eat all of it! Side order of hash browns were good as well.

Yelp
Save your money! Go somewhere where the waitresses don't roll their eyes and argue openly about "who's table is that" then have a stand off where you're left sitting there with menus on the corner of your table for 15 minutes desperately trying to make eye contact and have your server continue to walk past your table multiple times looking in the opposite direction to avoid eye contact. It was truly bizarre. As someone who's been a waitress for 10+ years I was shocked at the unprofessionalism and for the first time in my life asked for the check when our waitress FINALLY after 15 minutes (and flagging down a food runner to please grab our waitress for us) we actually saw him tell our waitress we were ready to order, to which she rolled her eyes then proceeded to take her time to drag herself to our table and with an attitude ask "ok- what do you want to order?" At this point we had never even gotten any waters. We told her we just wanted to get our check to pay for our coffee and we were going somewhere else. She quickly and without skipping a beat said "ok." No inquiry on why, no subtly whatsoever in how little she could possibly care. I left one star only for the lukewarm and overly sugary vanilla latte I was served when I first sat down. It's clear there's zero training for the waiting staff, no expectations of service and no manager watching the floor or touching any tables. Sad to lose my trusted mango French toast spot, but I'll just enjoy a bowl of cereal at home and save myself the headache.

Yelp
12/23/2021: We love this place and as always this visit didn't disappoint! I honestly don't know why I EVER bother to look at the menu when I almost always order the same thing: Lump Crab Benny! The jumbo lumps of crab meat were bigger than usual (maybe winter crab is bigger?), the egg was poached perfectly and the hollandaise was creamy and just rich enough. I 86'd the tomato (it's just not for me--you do you!) and asked for extra crispy hash browns and they were exceptional!! My husband ordered the chocolate chip pancake platter with sausage links. (Note: We learned on one of previous visits that Lance, one of the owners, orders this sausage special from a local butcher). The platter came its eggs (your choice of style) and he ordered scrambled with cheese. He claimed, "I think these are the best eggs I've ever had!" Which is a high compliment considering his egg consumption! Lindsay was our server and she, along with other staff, was decked out in Christmas Jammie's. She was knowledgeable, friendly with just the right amount of attentiveness. The house Mimosas were on point and a heckuva bargain at only $3 each! The only thing missing from this visit was Lance; we always enjoy our conversations about life, local fishing and other recommended eateries. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to the Shores and the Citrus Crew!

Yelp
We were a table of 7 at 10:30am on Sunday. Our server, Darby, took excellent care of us! She was very informative of all the specials and thorough in taking our orders, even offering suggestions to make sure everyone got exactly what they wanted. She checked on us several times and kept the refills coming. We all enjoyed our food and cocktails. My banana pancakes were fluffy, and the pecan syrup was a nice compliment. Others at the table enjoyed the loaded gouda grits, chicken and waffles, brunch burger, and the Lynnhaven platter. 5 stars for Darby and a yummy breakfast!

Yelp
I really like this restaurant for brunch! The food is always delicious. I like the atmosphere of the other location better (it's bigger and brighter), but this still was a clean and nice location. They have vegetarian options, healthy options, and non-healthy options. I always go for non- healthy The coffee and tea are also very good as well. They also have nice fruit - and it doesn't taste like it comes out of a package! The pancakes are also wonderful! The have indoor and outdoor seating. If you're looking for a good brunch place, I'd definitely recommend this one!

Yelp
Always a great food experience! Both locations serve delicious food. Just the wait was not so long!! Their sausage is the best and the healthy meal choices are yummy.

Went here the other day, got the seafood omelet with a sweet potato biscuit, hash browns, and banana pancakes. -Seafood omelet was A1, delicious, would recommend getting hollandaise sauce on the side so you can add as much (or for me, as little as you want) -banana pancakes were great, a little dense and large, which was perfect for us since we were starving -hash browns were way too oily and not crispy. Fast food breakfast options have better hash browns than these by far -wouldn't go out of my way for the sweet potato biscuits, they weren't fluffy, buttery, soft, and fresh but they were warm and would come with apple butter Overall, a great meal. Reasonable prices. Excellent service around lunchtime on a weekday, no wait at all and food came out quickly.

Yelp
Not worth the money. I came with my friends for a sunday brunch. the crossoiant french toast: regular french toast: too eggy. hash browns: not crispy VERY WET. seasoning: minimal. and to top it off the extra icing was $1.25 for i tiny sauce cup. good drinks though.

Yelp
Three and a half stars. Atmosphere is awesome, bright with tons of natural light. Service was great!! 3 stars because of the cost for The amount of food. When our pumpkin special pancakes came out they were not even kids size. Our 4yo and 5yo were eating food off of our plates when their meals were done. So, toddler portions for adult prices... no thanks. Seafood eggs Benedict was good. Decent quantity. Citrus pancakes AMPLE FOOD. Citrus quantity was what pumpkin pancake special needed to be.

Yelp
Absolutely best breakfast ive had in the va beach area. Gives that diner vibe but on an upscale manner. Everyone was happy to serve and sat you down immediately even though it wasn't many tables left in the area ( that's I thought anyway) but as you keep walking they have additional room with not sitting and a JUICE BAR. My server was nice and courteous with time management and making sure to acknowledge that she is on the way still if she ran a bit longer than usual at another table. The food was top tier. This is the first set of French toast that I not only liked but LOVED. Also that was the best chicken sausage . This business has two locations also so I will definitely come back and try the second location !!

Yelp
My first time! And I loved it! I was invited to a birthday brunch a few Saturday's ago. I am not much of a breakfast person, so when brunch was mentioned I was all in! I heard so many great things about this restaurant, but it's so far from me, I never gave it a second that to drive 30 minutes for food. Well good things come to those who wait they say... and great indeed! I was with a party of 20 or so, while reservations weren't necessary, well that's what we were told... Well on this Saturday is was a blazin 80 something degrees outside and guess where we sat... outside in the blazin heat! Luckily I love the heat, so I was good soaking up some Vitamin D... Our waitresses, I believe Hope and Faith, Whitney, something along those lines. The girls were super on point from start to finish. No complaints at all. I ordered the lump crab omelette with hashbrowns (I requested them to be crispy) and I wanted a biscuit instead of the toast. My order arrived in about 20 minutes. The restaurant was super busy, but all hands were on deck! I was ready to dig in... I wasn't aware my omelette would include tomatoes. Not a fan, but I must of been hungry because the tomatoes did not play a major factor at all. The biscuit was just as white as the crayola white crayon. I was a bit hesitant. I am so used to to seeing biscuit golden brown and maybe a bit flaky. This biscuit was the total opposite. Well I did pray over my food... The biscuit was surprisingly yummy! I did add butter inside... the meal was on point! I am only taking away one star due to the seating. Yes, we sat outside, but there weren't any fans and perhaps the tables could have been positioned under or near the trees, a bit a shade at least. Overall, the parking is a bit of a challenge, especially on the weekend. They do offer valet parking, but make sure you pack your patience as well. I recommend you give this place a try. Have fun and enjoy life :)

Yelp
Honestly can't even believe I waited an hour outside just to come in and have bland breakfast. The wait staff was fine even the atmosphere itself. The food was trash, I never thought it would be possible to make bad breakfast. The French toast was so eggy and mushy it had no color to it, in fact the color was of scrambled eggs rather than the golden brown I'm use to seeing on French toast. The grits tasted watery and bland even after putting salt and pepper and butter. The mimosa drinks were also bad which is disappointing. I wouldn't come here again nor recommend I really rather have gone to Waffle House or somewhere else that can make decent breakfast and not charge so much.

Yelp
FANTASTIC visit. The food was incredible, and the environment was so friendly, warm and welcoming. The SERVICE was key for me. Both ladies orchestrated such a smooth meal from start to finish it's indescribable. Can't wait to come back again!

Yelp
Decent breakfast food. Citrus offers a wide selection of breakfast options, so it definitely has potential to be a crowd pleaser. I tried the island avocado toast and was disappointed though. The avocado was clearly unripe and the overall flavor combination was bland. I did enjoy my side of fried okra, but it was nothing special except it was served hot. I would be interested in returning to Citrus to try other menu offerings, but I would not recommend the avocado toast category of menu items.

Yelp
Ordered eggs Benedict to go. I've had eggs Benedict done right , done wrong, and finally, here, almost perfect. The sauce was amazingly delicious. The eggs were done right, and the hash browns were not overdone, just right, the freshly squeezed orange juice was refreshing, even if it was a bit pricey, but that's to be expected with something that's not processed. Overall, the best breakfast experience in Virginia Beach.
