City Roots is an innovative urban farm growing organic produce and microgreens just minutes from downtown. Lauded by Modern Farmer and The State, the farm supplies many of Columbia’s top restaurants and welcomes visitors for tours, farm dinners, and hands-on workshops. Its commitment to sustainable agriculture and local food education makes City Roots a unique place to connect with Columbia’s green side.
City Roots Mardi gras! The parade goes around the neighborhood and weaves it back to the Roots. There were four music venues with multiple bands scheduled. Food trucks and beer stands through out. Nice afternoon for the family.

Great CSA, I drove from Augusta every Friday for 4 weeks to pick up my veggies and it was definitely worth the money and the trip. Super friendly staff and great quality produce.

My best friend got married there. I was a brisesmade, she was stunning! Unfortunately they do not have air conditioning. The food was from city roots and was wonderful! Just wish my beautiful friend had better accommodations before she walked down the isle. The reception was great though!

Extremely nice staff. The food was great, and the portions were generous. I will definitely be eating here again. The Birria beef was delicious.

We went for the Smoke and Beer festival and it was wonderful! A great set-up for events, fun music, fun atmosphere. It was crowded and busy, but manageable. Hopefully, they put a cap on how many people can attend their events.

I haven’t been able to visit the farm, but I have a visit the farm in my mouth. I just want to give a huge appreciation to you guys! With experience of working in the garden, I’ve been able to know what it taste like to have pure, good quality vegetables... I have never found arugula in store that taste as it should until I grab City Roots arugula microgreens. Keep being honest with what you do, we appreciate you guys!

Our in town farm! They grow a lot of healthy foods, even fish. It is in the Rosewood area by Owens Field. Besides the great things they grow, they also host many events, from music to festivals to dinners. A wonderful place run by people who care. Stop by and pick up some fresh food harvested that day!

City Roots is by far my favorite place in Columbia. It is a hidden gem off of Rosewood. I was so surprised to find out that an organic and sustainable farm was being run here in Columbia. They are on the cutting edge of farming practices, have very welcoming and knowledgeable staff that make learning so much fun. Not to mention the variety of produce is amazing! I get 75% of my produce here because I can always trust that it's the best quality and price.
