"Graham Meyer says City Tap isn’t bad, but “it just doesn’t have the shoulders to stand out.” The burger has a “stout, beefy, accurately medium-rare patty, although no other ingredients bore notice.” Also good is the Abe Froman pizza, which has a “crunchy” crust and really does “taste like an Italian sausage sandwich in pizza form.” Misses include the “Jacques” mussels that are “too mustardy and $17.” On the whole, though, CIty Tap “probably isn’t even the fifth-best restaurant on Fulton Market between Halsted and Peoria streets.”" - Jeffy Mai

Awesome casual "upscale" bar and restaurant with dog friendly seating and doggy food menu! The beer selection was quite extensive although I didn't try any this time. Instead, I spotted the frose which was so delicious and perfect to round off my summer! We ordered the Abe pizza (sausage, pepper, and onions) which was perfectly crispy and satisfying. The apple and Gouda ravioli with pork belly was surprisingly good as well! I was worried the pork belly would be too fatty but it was just perfect. I can't wait to be back to try some beers and more food!

Loved the aesthetic/ambiance, good energy from patronage and great service. Was part of a large group that had a private event and they accommodated us with no issues. The food was delicious! The truffle fries and crab cakes were amazing. They made accommodations for those who were vegetarian and vegan in our group. They even gave us a comp round of prosecco so we could do a ceremonial toast! Will definitely visit again (once all the construction in Fulton Market finalizes- developments popping up everywhere there right now)!!!

Went here for Sunday brunch. Everything on the menu looks amazing but I went for the Strawberry Sundae pancakes. It's basically desert for breakfast and does not disappoint!

One of my favorite places to visit for lunch. It has such an amazing atmosphere and the staff are incredibly friendly. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. My personal favorite is the Tap Burger or the Fried Rice with Braised Short ribs. Whether you’re meeting friends, coworkers, or a quick spot to meet a client/prospect this is the place to go.

It’s a great place to come with friends for a great beer or a fantastic Old fashion!

The food and drinks were delicious! Our server was very attentive, and nice! The GM came to check in on us, and make sure everything was to our liking, and my kids felt comfortable there hanging out and enjoying dinner as well!

Being a West Loop resident I have been to virtually every restaurant in the neighborhood and City Tap is a refreshingly new restaurant with a little bit of everything for everyone. The space is nicely designed, the bar has a great selection, and no one was upset with anything we ordered! I very much look forward to our next visit at City Tap and would give it two thumbs up for anyone else considering visiting this new West Loop establishment.

Never tried this place before. Server was pretty weird and pressured me into getting a flight when I just wanted to get a few 4.5 oz.. I got the flight just to make him go away. Food wasn’t great, in fact was sub par especially for the area. Didn’t like the wait staff, made me feel uncomfortable. Beer selection is good though... although Kumas next door probably doesn’t have as poor of service and has better food.
